My ‘take’ on Iran vs. Israel

Detail from Eagle-eyed by John Mark Long: www.propheticartists.comIn case you may be unaware of updates to my covering remarks on Joel Rosenberg’s Iran performing its own nuclear inspections, I will briefly relate what happened. Then we’ll get to the real heart of this issue, which I’ve kept an eye on for 30 years. Kindly bear with me…

“Sheer, utter folly!” was my reaction to the eventual news of the nuclear ‘fix’ or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and the P5+1 (the 5 permanent members of UN Security Council; USA, Russia, Britain, France, China plus Germany) and the EU. The strength of my reaction arose from knowing the Iranian regime’s freely admitted and never rescinded ultimate goal – the downfall and removal of the state of Israel. (See for example, Cranmer’s Iran Nuclear Deal: Obama is Fulfilling Shia ‘End Times’ Prophecy.)

Public’s Positive Attitude

The re-blog attracted informed contributions from a blogger who drew attention to an issue over the source behind the original Associated Press (AP) report. This revealed the fuss was over Iranians already cleaning up a well-known but long-disused site and  journalists’ lack of expertise in appreciating technical complexities. (See AP’s controversial and badly flawed Iran inspection story explained.)

The informative comments on the thread are welcomed and I’d encourage you to take a couple of minutes to check them out, as well as to see the brief video summarising the deal.

Next, I introduced MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute) reports on Critical Points to Consider in Understanding the Iranian Nuclear Deal as well as Senior Iran Officials Disclose Confidential Details…

My contributor pointed out MEMRI isn’t a neutral observer and suggested reading about ordinary Iranian’s perceptions of Westerners, as reported in his site The Other Iran. (For example, see Iran’s exceptional reaction to 9/11 attacks.)

Throughout all consideration and discussions we cannot overlook the fact that There’s a Higher Plan at Work…, as Elam Ministries remind us. Their mission is to strengthen and expand Christianity within and beyond Iran. Like Hormoz Shariat’s Iran Alive Ministry, a great deal of teaching and evangelism goes direct to Iranian homes by satellite.

Regime’s Negative Doctrine

1) Then came next day’s news from the semi-official Fars News Agency reporting senior Iranian aide Hossein Sheikholeslam (parliamentary speaker’s Advisor for International Affairs) as saying – Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan.”  (Emphasis RB.)

This came in response to Foreign Secretary Hammond’s remarks upon re-opening the British embassy in Tehran on Sunday following years of strained relations between the two countries. FNA stated,

“Hammond claimed in an interview with the British media that the current Iranian government had displayed a more nuanced approach than its predecessor to a long-running conflict with Israel. Also, on Hammond’s remarks in a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran on Monday that the past hostilities should be forgotten, Sheikholeslam said Tehran will never forget the past and Britain’s colonialist moves.”

2) Last month Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei published a new book called Palestine, a 416-page screed against the Jewish state. The back cover credits Khamenei as “The flag-bearer of Jihad to liberate Jerusalem”, writes Amir Taheri in Iran publishes book on how to outwit USA and destroy Israel. Rather than reach and keep a nuclear deal, “Iran’s religious leader has another issue on his mind: The destruction of Israel”.

In his forthright, well-argued Has Obama read the Khameini Palestine Book? Jonathan Tobin cites Teheri, claiming “latest evidence of the malevolence of the Islamist regime should be regarded as yet another inarguable reason for Congress to vote the deal down“.

Obama is on record as saying the anti-Semitism of the Iranian leadership doesn’t mean they were not also “interested in survival” or being “rational.” As far as the US president is concerned, the regime’s ideology isn’t something that would influence its decisions. I can only conclude POTUS lives in ‘cloud-cuckoo land’!

Both journalists are quoted in the introductory lead-in to the exclusive, first translation of Khameini’s book. Note especially Tobin’s:

‘The Khamenei Palestine book is important not in and of itself but because the regime’s obsession with Israel is a key to its foreign policy. Iran constitutes a grave threat to neighboring Arab countries that are at least as angry about the president’s embrace of Tehran as the Israelis since their nuclear status would undermine their security…it is the fixation on Israel and Zionism that really animates their expansionism and aid for terror groups. (Underline added.)

‘As Taheri notes in his article on the book, Khamenei distinguishes his idée fixe about destroying Israel from European anti-Semitism. Rather, he insists, that his policy derives from “well established Islamic principles”. Chief among them is the idea that any land that was once ruled by Muslims cannot be conceded to non-believers no matter who lives there now…(Israel’s) central location in the middle of the Muslim and Arab worlds and the fact that Jews, a despised minority people, now rule it makes its existence particularly objectionable to Islamists like Khamenei.’

3) We now go full circle back to 1980’s with last week’s The Algemeine’s report (source The Investigative Terrorism Project – since updated):

“A newly revealed video produced under the auspices of the Iranian regime in early August threatens and visualizes the destruction of Israel at the hands of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iranian Middle East proxies.”

This is not entirely new. Its purpose echoes the stunt that stunned me 30 years ago as a non-Christian and made me realise the accuracy of Bible prophecy!  Therefore, let me close by summarising personal events indicative of the significance of Iran’s official hostility toward the state of Israel.

Personal Perspective

This blog’s Welcome briefly recounts how I became aware of the huge role played by Iran in ‘The Last Days’. Now and again I refer to Iran in connection with the Ezekiel 38 alliance’, otherwise known as ‘Gog and Magog’ and referred to in Revelation 20.

That role’s warning flags are:

  1. Mid-1980’s joint-rehearsal of the storming of Jerusalem by Iranian-Iraqi elite units, despite fighting on opposite sides during the Iran-Iraq War! (Refer to Review 2 – Iran and Nuclear ‘Fix’).
  2. Very early in his presidency Obama starts secretly appeasing Iran (email 18 May 2009).
  3. July/Aug 2010 – Iran’s nuclear reactor goes live, Supreme Leader reports having been visited by the Hidden Imam about his violent return (email 19 August 2010).
  4. Nov 2011 – referred to event 1 above in ‘Welcome’, introductory post launching this blog.
  5. Nov 2013 – event 1 repeated by Iranian troops in drill ‘Towards Jerusalem’ two years to the date I blogged about the 1980s rehearsal in ‘Welcome’. (Invisible Hand Reappears).
  6. Mar 2015 – The Lord asked, “How many months since that blog you wrote about Iran?”. Upon checking, I’m prompted to expect developments of nuclear deal four months later, ie this July (Review 2 – Iran and Nuclear ‘Fix’). The reference was to when I’d asked if my triple warning about Iran had disrupted my internet’s blogging connection in Nov ’13.
  7. Aug 2015 – new video of IRGC & Iranian proxies ‘imagining’ taking Jerusalem, as related in above section.

Finally, there’s also my statement in March: What’s weird about blogging about Iran 🙂

Insane, but true – UN to let Iran do its own inspections of alleged nuclear weapons sites – updated

This seems like satanic bewitchment of nations, but could it be the Lord putting his hook into their jaws to bring them to the prophesied judgement of nations at the hill outside Megiddo? This news confirms my earlier opinion but I’d draw attention to the valuable link to AP’s peculiar actions over their own report, as in Comments below. For further assessment see Critical Points to Consider in Understanding the Iranian Nuclear Deal, and Senior Iran Officials Disclose Confidential Details… (MEMRI) and let’s never forget, There’s a Higher Plan at Work…(Elam Ministries). Aug 25th Fars News Agency  reports senior Iranian aide Hossein Sheikholeslam (Advisor for International Affairs) as saying, “Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan.”

Iran-Nuclear-Deal-Congress(Central Israel) — A secret side-deal made with Iran by the U.N. will actually allow Iran to “inspect” its  own nuclear sites and provide confirmation to the international community that no illegal nuclear weapons activity is being conducted such sites.

As a novelist, I wish I could tell you that I was making this up. But this is not fiction. Nor is it the figment of the imagination of Stephen Colbert or John Stewart or the writers of Saturday Night Live. This is sheer lunacy, but according to an exclusive report by the Associated Press, it is also true.

This is just one more reason this incredibly dangerous nuclear deal must be stopped. It puts America’s trust in the Radical, murderous, terrorist leaders of Iran rather than in the common sense of the American people (who overwhelmingly oppose the deal) or in the wisdom and experience of our Israeli and Arab allies who also oppose the…

Economic crises as Shemitah year draws to a close – updated

What do economists and accountants have in common with prophetic and messianic Christians?

Both acknowledge the likelihood of global upheavals if not severe financial disruption in the next couple of months. Both groups are conversant with the cyclic nature of these events, as previously noted on this blog, but the latter group know how they relate to the Lord’s ordinances as revealed in holy scripture.

Let me update you with brief points from a couple of well-informed secular and Christian sources respectively, namely:

  • John Ficenec, editor of the Telegraph media group’s market analysis Questor column as well as qualified accountant and award-winning chartered financial analyst.
  • William Koenig, White House accredited journalist and founder of the international news service Koenig World Watch Daily, which monitors key world indicators.

john-ficenec_2723835aIn Monday’s Doomsday clock for global market crash strikes one minute to midnight as central banks lose control, John pulls no punches (emphases mine),

Time is now rapidly running out. From China to Brazil, the central banks have lost control and at the same time the global economy is grinding to a halt. It is only a matter of time before stock markets collapse under the weight of their lofty expectations and record valuations. The FTSE 100 has now erased its gains for the year, but there are signs things could get a whole lot worse….”

The strap-line to his video-led report reads: China currency devaluation signals endgame leaving equity markets free to collapse under the weight of impossible expectations. His brief summation outlines why “the great props to the world economy are now beginning to fall”.:

  1. China slowdown
  2. Commodity collapse
  3. Resource sector credit crisis
  4. Dominoes begin to fall
  5. Credit markets roll over
  6. Interest rate shock
  7. Bull market 3rd longest on record
  8. Overvalued US market.

williamkoenig-web[1]That article by John Ficenec featured prominently in Monday’s Koenig World Watch Daily. On Friday, William issued the first in-depth analysis of the Shemitah year situation for subscribers to his weekly report, Koenig’s Eye View from the White House.

[Soon after launching this blog I introduced his long investigation of economic cycles and the work of leading financial analyst Eric Hadik in my 2011/12 and Biblical Historical/Financial Cycles. It was in the same month in which Jonathan Cahn’s The Harbinger was published.]

In the latest Eye View, William takes a different tack and introduces this new study as follows.

“While reviewing Jonathan Cahn’s ‘The Mystery of the Shemittah’, I felt led to place his revealing and extremely interesting work into the context of what we focus on most weeks and the events and catastrophes detailed in “Eye to Eye—Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel”.

“When my study got close to being 20 pages long, I decided to divide the work into two parts over the next two weeks. This is the type of work where the more you research, the more the Lord reveals (Yes indeed! Emphasis RB). Next week’s part will go into fascinating detail about what took place in each Shemittah year from 1973 to the present.

“The following comprehensive study points to an amazing connection of the land of Israel to the events that have happened at the times of the Shemittah—the last year of a sabbatical seven-year period—and what took place in the last year of the 50-year Jubilee (7 x 7-year periods equaling 49 years, with the final Jubilee year bringing the total to 50)….”

He continues by covering the following points in detail.:

  • post 9/11 US financial situation
  • Obama’s dubious deal with Iran
  • Collision course with the God of Israel
  • Shemitah pattern: 1973 to present
  • Potential triggers and catalysts
  • Unprecedented pivotal events in Sept 2015
  • Jubilee years and Jerusalem (1917 & 1967).

Lots more is promised for this weekend, so maybe you’d consider subscribing too?

Why is the Iran nuclear deal so dangerous? Joel Rosenberg’s detailed analysis of the agreement.

Joel RosenbergThank you to Joel for saving me the time of summarising my researches today. My immediate reaction of “Sheer, utter folly” under ‘Nuclear Agreement’ in Review 2, is  supported by his conclusion. Rather than wading through many reviews as I have, Joel directly consulted a number of experts. Yesterday, World Watch Daily reported Obama said, “Whole world has expressed support for Iran deal except for Israeli government” and upon meeting US Jews, “Rockets will fall on Tel Aviv if Congress kills Iran deal”! If the US president were a Bible-believing Christian he would know ALL nations of the world will be judged by the Almighty in relation to Israel (Joel 3). Also, my long-time readers will be aware of the prophecies about Netanyahu being prime minister. AND Obama’s claim about missile attacks upon Tel Aviv is irrelevant, as explained in this Debkafile analysis (emphasis added):

“Obama’s warning to the Jewish leaders does not stand up to the test of logic or reliable intelligence….It is therefore obvious that Israel faces an Iranian-Hizballah missile threat today, as it did yesterday, and probably also tomorrow, regardless of whether the US Congress endorses or throws out President Obama’s nuclear deal with Tehran. He might have made a difference to this grim reality if US negotiators had stipulated that the deal include the lifting of the Iranian missile peril hanging over Israel and that Tehran’s waive its standing threat to destroy the Jewish state. But as things stand now, this particular argument in support of his nuclear deal with Iran is an irrelevancy.”

(Joel’s address last night in Denver would have been illuminating – one of my readers was blessed in being there.)

iran-nuclear-graphic(Denver, Colorado) — I have finished reading the 159-page Iran nuclear deal, known as the “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” (or JCPOA), as well as numerous analyses by various Middle East think tanks, and I’ve consulted with a number of Mideast experts, nuclear experts, and former senior U.S. government officials.

Here’s my conclusion: this deal is insane.

That may not be the most diplomatic way to put it, but I’m afraid that’s the truth.

  • The deal doesn’t live up to the very “red lines” that President Obama and his team set.
  • The deal doesn’t end Iran’s nuclear program — it legalizes, legitimizes, expands it.
  • The deal provides Iran not just one but two paths to The Bomb — in 10 to 15 years if Iran keeps the agreement, and much sooner if Iran cheats.
  • The details inside the deal are absolutely stunning — and catastrophically dangerous for the U.S., Israel and our Sunni Arab neighbors.

Prophetic, Historic Days – Part 2: ‘coincidence’ of Jewish calendar and Iranian nuclear ‘fix’

Detail from Eagle-eyed by John Mark Long: www.propheticartists.com

Thank you to William Smith, teacher, itinerant preacher and author of Feasting on the Father for sending me an exceptionally illuminating article from Breaking Israel News a few days ago.

Cross-posted below, its perspective upon the JCPOA, or ‘fix’ as I term it, is upon the event’s timing in the ancient Hebrew calendar and offers prophetic opinions from a Jewish viewpoint.

I especially notice the first quotation’s remark on the USA’s “commitment to hedonism” because hedonism is an outcome of Humanism, the Fundamental flaw in Western societyOxford English Dictionary defines ‘hedonism’ as ‘the pursuit of pleasure: sensual self-indulgence’. Of Greek origin it also has a philosophical meaning: ‘The ethical theory that pleasure (in the sense of satisfaction of desires) is the highest good and proper aim of human life‘. Thus, it matches the atheistic goal of Humanism which, according to Derek Prince, results in “a complete absence, in fact, of any binding moral code. This left man free to be his own god, and to establish his own moral code”. (See Humanism – Forerunner for Antichrist as quoted herein.)

Appeasement

At the close of his interview of Israeli PM Netanyahu about the ‘Nuclear Deal’, Steve Forbes asked, “Is this like the 1930s?” and received the PM’s response, “No, it’s worse, because we have the example of the 1930s, which wasn’t available then”.

‘Deal’ or ‘Document’?

It is important to note that the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei does not refer to the JCPOA as a ‘Nuclear Deal or Agreement’, as bandied around by Barack Obama. He calls it simply ‘document’, which indicates he doesn’t regard it with any commitment on his part whatsoever! (See BBC Watch translations correcting BBC inaccuracies!) Now for the article from my friend, the original of which may be read by clicking the title. Note ‘coincidental’ calendar timing – especially re. Rosh Hashana and Shemitah year – and conclusion (my emphases added):

HEAVEN’S TIMING AND THE NUCLEAR DEAL WITH IRAN

“Behold a people is coming from the north, and a great nation and great kings shall be aroused from the ends of the earth.” (Jeremiah 50:41)

khamenei-rouhani-iran-twitter

The Iran Nuclear Deal was signed on July 14, 2015 by the P5+1 – a group comprised of representatives of the governments of the US, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This date falls during a particularly significant time in the Jewish calendar known as The Three Weeks.

The Three Weeks are a mourning period that the Jewish people observe each year for the destruction of the Holy Temples in Jerusalem. The period starts on the 17th of the Hebrew month of Tammuz and ends on the 9th of the Hebrew month of Av and always falls in the summer. The 9th day of Av, which this year is July 26, is called Tisha B’Av and is the saddest day in the Jewish calendar. It was the day that both Holy Temples were set on fire.

In comparing the deal with Iran to the Munich Agreement between British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and Hitler in 1938, world-renowned lecturer Rabbi Lazer Brody wrote: “Now, 77 years later, during the notorious ‘Three Weeks’ between the 17th of Tammuz and Tisha B’Av, the USA has reaffirmed its commitment to hedonism by appeasing Iran and signing a nuclear agreement that is not worth the skin of a garlic clove.” (Emphasis added)

In an email dated July 16, 2015 and sent to his “Letter from Jerusalem” subscribers, Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum, Founder and Director of AZAMRA, an international organization that promotes Torah teachings to all nations, echoes Rabbi Brody’s thoughts about the timing.

He wrote, “The carefully choreographed timing of the announcement after so many delays could not have been more significant from the Jewish point of view, given that it fell on July 14 / 27 Tammuz, bang in the middle of the ‘Three Weeks’ period from the Fast of 17 Tammuz (4 July) until the Fast of Tisha B’Av (26 July), when we soul-searchingly contemplate our collective past, our present and our future destiny,”

Although the White House is attempting to push the agreement through the United Nations before Congress has had a chance to review the measure, there is another striking connection between the Iran nuclear deal and the Jewish calendar.

Regardless of what happens at the UN, the US Congress has 60 days to review and vote to either ratify or nix the nuclear deal. On the Jewish calendar, 60 days from the day the Iran nuclear deal was signed falls on Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. Thus, the final decision will likely be announced in the period between the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur known as the Ten Days of Repentance. [RB note: 60th day starting 14 July is 11th Sept; 60 day period ends 12th Sept which is also  Nitzavim, commemorating when Moses instructed the Israelites to stand before God to enter the Covenant. Its sundown starts the year’s final day 29 Elul; Rosh Hashana 5776 starts sundown 13th, into 15th Sept; Yom Kippur is 23rd Sept – calendar source.]

These are days of judgement for the Jewish people.

Speaking to the confluence of this decision and the Jewish calendar, End of Times author Rabbi Pinchas Winston told Breaking Israel News, “The [Talmud says] that all punishment comes to the world because of the Jewish people. Sometimes it means the Jewish people are not up to snuff, but other times it means that we did not care enough to use our spiritual gifts, such as Torah learning and prayer, to save a situation. When important decisions ‘hang in the air’ for a time, it is Heaven’s way of giving the Jewish people a chance to use those gifts to get history back on track. The fact that the Iran deal was made during the Three Weeks and will be decided on by Rosh Hashanah should make it clear where our responsibility lies. We don’t want this ‘punishment’ to occur and we certainly don’t want to be responsible for it.”

When questioned further, Rabbi Winston affirmed, “Now we have a chance to interfere with it [the nuclear deal] by praying and doing mitzvos [God’s commandments].”

Rabbi Nachman Kahana, an orthodox rabbinic scholar, offers comfort to believers who sense a connection between the Iranian nuclear deal and the End of Days. He cites the Yalkut Shimoni, a 16th century rabbinic commentary on the Bible, which describes the current situation prophetically.

“The Yalkut states that Paras (Persia-Iran) will be the dread of humanity. The world’s leaders will be frustrated in their futile efforts to save what they can. The people of Yisrael will also be petrified by the impending danger,” he wrote. “And HaShem [God] will say to us, ‘Why are you afraid? All of this I have done in order to bring you the awaited redemption. And this redemption will not be like the redemption from Egypt, which was followed by suffering. This redemption will be absolute, followed with peace.’”

Parliamentarians plead for global freedom of religion and belief

As ever Gillan Scott, deputy editor of Cranmer provides an excellent post on extremely detailed material and which I’ve copied in full from Archbishop Cranmer.  However, I do have very strong reservations over the authority accorded to the BBC by Lord Alton’s quotation.

Factual evidence of the BBC’s gross ignorance on religion and deliberately political slant on the Middle-east is all too readily available: eg. its pure pig-ignorance in an appallingly arrogant and clueless rebuke made last week to an Israeli minister, “But you’re not under threat by Iran”! AND they censored Iranian leader’s remark on supporting terror!! (Details and petition to BBC available at Honest Reporting; in-depth analysis of BBC coverage of Iran at BBC Watch.)

Perhaps BBC should be changed to BCC – British ‘Cloud Cuckoo-land’ ?

Credit for photo of Asia Bibi belongs to British Pakistani Christians, from whence Wilson Chowdry emails today that she’s, “…been granted leave to appeal her death sentence by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. There is still some serious legal process to follow before she can be acquitted, but this action is a serious step in the. right direction. Asia is in a much more hopeful position now but the process will be long and drawn out. Please continue to pray for her. By accepting her appeal the Court has inferred that there is a possibility for grounds for Asia being exonerated.” (In full with petition here.)

Gillan’s post reads as follows (click title for link):

House-Lords-Freedom-Religion

HOUSE OF LORDS PLEADS FOR THE FREEDOM OF RELIGION AND BELIEF

With a Conservative majority government in place for the next five years we won’t need to worry about any potential reforms to House of Lords for the time being. And perhaps that is a good thing. When considering the role of the UK government in promoting freedom of religion, it is doubtful that an elected Upper House would have brought us the same level of passion and knowledge as peers did when the subject was debated last week. It came as a response to Lord Alton’s motion: ‘That this House takes note of worldwide violations of Article 18 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the case for greater priority to be given by the United Kingdom and the international community to upholding freedom of religion and belief.’

AsiiaIt goes without saying that human rights abuses relating to religious persecution are widespread throughout the world and on the increase. Even today, Asia Bibi, who has been beaten and raped during her six years on death row in Pakistan, will have one last opportunity to plead for her life to be spared (updated above). Her crime, as a Christian, was drinking water from the same bowl as her Muslim co-workers. During the ensuing argument she was accused of blasphemy against the prophet Mohammad, which led to her arrest and conviction. There is an overwhelming need for governments across the free and democratic world to take a stand and defend the basic human right that Eleanor Roosevelt, chair of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights drafting committee, described as one of the four essential freedoms of mankind.

The Lords’ debate has been helpfully summarised by Frank Cranmer at the ever informative ‘Law and Religion’ blog, but several utterances deserve further attention. Lord Alton argued that in order for governments to reclaim their patrimony of Article 18, it would need greater political and diplomatic priority, and the importance of religious literacy as a competence could not be neglected. He went on to quote the BBC’s chief international correspondent, Lyse Doucet, who said: “If you don’t understand religion — including the abuse of religion — it’s becoming ever harder to understand our world.” He then drew attention to the paucity of interest in the matter at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), with only one full-time desk officer dedicated to freedom of religion or belief.

Rabbi Lord Sacks described religious freedom as “perhaps the single greatest humanitarian issue of our time”. He was keen, though, to avoid rhetoric, preferring instead to look for pragmatic answers to avoid Article 18 being seen as little more than “a utopian ideal”. He proposed that the world needs:

“Under the auspices of the United Nations, a global gathering of religious leaders and thinkers to formulate an agreed set of principles that are sustainable theologically within their respective faiths and on which member nations can be called to account… We have not yet done the theological work for a global society in the information age, and not all religions in the world are yet fully part of that conversation. But if we neglect the theology, all else will fail… We must stand together – the people of all faiths and of none – for we are all at risk… Religious freedom is about our common humanity, and we must fight for it if we are not to lose it.”

The Archbishop of Canterbury was also keen to look for solutions:

“Religious freedom is threatened on a global scale, as we have heard, but also in a very complex way. Attacks on religious freedom are often linked to economic circumstances, to sociology, to history and to many other factors. Practically, if we are to defend religious liberty, we have to draw in these other factors. For example, if we want to defend religious freedom around the world – and again I say, the freedom to have no religion – do not sell guns to people who oppress religious freedom; do not launder their money; restrict trade with them; confine the way in which we deal with them; and, above, all, speak frankly and openly, naming them for what they are.”

After two and a half hours of speeches the motion was passed. Such a debate was significant in proving that Parliament has this issue on its mind and is making some positive noises. But without more substantive action from government, it will all count for very little. In their 2015 General Election manifestos, both Labour and the Liberal Democrats proposed the creation of a Global Ambassador for Religious Freedom to work within the FCO. It seemed a sensible proposal, but would that be the best way of ensuring that HM Government does not duck its responsibilities on the issue?

The newly created Centre on Religion and Global Affairs – a research and policy centre based in London, Beirut and Accra – has responded to the Lords’ debate. It believes that a special envoy that exclusively focuses on freedom of religious belief is not the way forward. Their view is that in other countries such appointments have yielded limited results. Instead, they propose the appointment a full-time Special Advisor to the government on Religion and Global Affairs. The advisor would be given a mandate to provide proactive policy proposals across Whitehall departments, in particular the FCO, Department for International Development, Home Office and the Prime Minister’s Office. Only a coordinated response across government departments will enable the UK to achieve the necessary understanding and enable a coherent and effective response to the issues. The role should not be seen as an interfaith outreach initiative, or a symbolic office for public diplomacy.

Alongside this Special Advisor, a group of external experts would be needed to provide additional support. A global portfolio in one of the most complicated topics in today’s world is not possible without adequate professional support. Given budgetary constraints, the role of the Special Advisor could be facilitated by the appointment of voluntary external experts with the requisite professional, academic and geo-political experience.

It is also important that any such position would be sufficiently funded if it is to be more than a symbolic gesture. Strategic research, diplomacy and local projects with stakeholders would need to be pursued with conviction and credible resources if any significant impact is to be made.

There is every reason to believe that the UK can contribute significantly to international moves to uphold freedom of religion – if it so chooses. During the Lords’ debate, Baroness Anelay, Minister of State in the FCO, admitted that although the Government is working with human rights and faith-based organisations across the world to promote dialogue, foster links and strengthen understanding, it is not doing enough.

As His Grace discussed yesterday, the Government needs to get a much better grip on its understanding of religion and religious freedoms. Religious persecution is a destructive cancer working its evil across the globe. How many more travesties of justice – such as that of Asia Bibi – do we have to endure before the British Government hears the appeal of those in the House of Lords (and elsewhere) that we must act as Justin Welby has prescribed: “..do not sell guns to people who oppress religious freedom; do not launder their money; restrict trade with them; confine the way in which we deal with them; and, above, all, speak frankly and openly, naming them for what they are.” Amen.

Update on Cameron’s speech – diplomatic/military component against IS

Cameron_latestAt long last a politician has punched a ‘PC’ idol in the teeth! (PC = political correctness aka. political clap-trap)

Contributing Editor to The Commentator, Clare George-Hilley, has summarised David Cameron’s speech and the strap-line to her report reads,

Prime Minister David Cameron has announced new measures to crack down on Islamic extremism at home and abroad. For far too long, political correctness has allowed this wicked ideology to flourish. Cameron’s remarks may seem late in the day to some, but he’s on the right track at last.

She opens Cameron campaign against Islamic extremism is long overdue with,

‘Today, in front of British Muslims in Birmingham, David Cameron made his first major domestic speech on how to tackle Islamist extremism in our country.  It is poignant that Cameron chose to give his speech in Birmingham, the place where the schools were infiltrated as part of the Trojan Horse plot, where extremists sought to indoctrinate the minds of innocent children…

‘For many years, I and many other commentators, political activists and counter-terrorism experts have been recommending and asking for measures that the government can tangibly apply to combat Islamic extremism in Britain and abroad. The warning signs have been clearly visible in our country for many years…’

After noting political tolerance of intolerance allowed extremists to exploit our freedom of speech laws to preach hatred on our streets, Clare covers her favourite part of the speech (emphases mine):

‘The best, and most important, part of his speech was when he finally came round to the notion that violent extremism exists at the apex of a broader Islamist narrative:

“It may begin with hearing about the so-called Jewish conspiracy, and then develop into hostility to the West and fundamental liberal values before finally becoming a cultish attachment to death. Put another way, the extremist worldview is the gateway, and then violence is the ultimate destination,” the prime minister said.

‘Not so many years ago, such (obviously correct and pertinent) remarks would have drawn charges of “Islamophobia” in some quarters. Cameron deserves praise for moving the debate in the right direction, however late in the day it may now be.’

Diplomatic Component

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conference at the latter’s office in Jerusalem – credit AFP

The timing and content of this major speech by David Cameron must surely be directly connected with action being taken against those who murder British citizens and others – and apparently with the outcome of last week’s nuclear power deal with Iran (aka. the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – JCPOA).

One of the signatories to the JCPOA, British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, went to Israel to tell PM Netanyahu officially of the agreement’s full terms. But he went under a mistaken understanding. He presumed Israel doesn’t want any deal whatsoever with Iran, just a permanent stand-off or continuing conflict – and said as much in Parliament before leaving (as here). So Netanyahu took him to task during their public meeting in Jerusalem:

“Israelis know better than anyone else the cost of permanent conflict with Iran and it is wrong to suggest that Israel wants such an outcome. We seek a genuine and effective diplomatic solution,”

“The alternative to this deal is not war. The alternative is a better deal that would roll back Iran’s military nuclear program and tie the easing of restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program to changes in Iran’s behaviour. That’s the kind of deal that would be welcomed in Tel Aviv and here in Israel’s capital Jerusalem.”

This morning another part of that meeting in Jerusalem emerged in connection with Isil – and how the nuclear deal means Iran will be taking more action against Isil, as reported exclusively by DebkaFile:

‘Although the Secretary’s formal mission was to elucidate the accord to Israel’s leaders, his real purpose was to hand him a letter from British Prime Minister David Cameron. In this letter, Cameron explained that his decision to extend RAF bombing missions from Iraq to Syria (depending on parliament’s approval in September) had nothing to do with Washington’s policies, but was solely motivated by the Islamist threat hanging over British national security.
‘Britain, he said, was not acting in support of the Syrian-Iranian-Hizballah lineup against the Islamist group; nor was it part of the Obama administration’s turnabout in favor of supporting Syrian President Bashar Assad. British bombers would target ISIS in the UK’s own interests.

Note the comment about yet another of Obama’s turnarounds – in favour of Syria!  This is because of Iran’s close interest in supporting their puppet Assad. Please read that Debka report to appreciate what’s started, or already happening, on the ground.

Is Debka’s claim about British diplomatic/military action credible? They are the ones who broke the news of secret US-Iran back-channels communications being set up soon after Obama’s inauguration – and prior to his infamous Cairo speech to the Muslim word. (Read Today’s Importance in History, 18 May 2009 and note especially the Arab world’s alarm at Obama’s activity. They were vindicated by last week’s nuclear deal.)  Therefore, there are reasonable grounds for regarding the Debka report as reliable.

So we now glimpse what’s happening behind closed doors and how determined David Cameron is to deal with and, if at all possible, remove Islamist extremism here.

Political common-sense emerges on Islamist threat

The Times front-page headline on a major speech Prime Minister Cameron is making today:

The Times Monday 20 July 2015

(Click image to enlarge – their young award-winning journalist continues on page 4 as follows) “…loss of British citizens in a terrorist attack, happened before the Iraq war.

“When they say that these are wronged Muslims getting revenge on western wrong- doing, lets remind them: from Kosovo to Somalia, countries like Britain have stepped in the save Muslim people from massacres. It’s groups like Isil, al-Qaeda and Boko Haram that are the ones murdering Muslims….etc.”  [Murdoch papers require subscription.]

For the latest with video read the Telegraph’s David Cameron speech: my five-year plan to tackle extremism – Live; or The Independent’s online report here.

The PM’s announcement is long overdue in view of nationwide reaction to last month’s appalling massacre of 30 British holidaymakers in Sousse, Tunisia (see Wikipedia), and the fact that Islamists declared war on the West a long time ago! He is delivering upon his statement in the House of Commons after Sousse for the UK to be “intolerant of intolerance”. (NB: Contemporaneous killings were committed in France and Kuwait too – see The West’s war against Jihadi terrorism is just beginning.)

In his citing events from the 1990s caused by maniacal Muslims, I’m sure Cameron is well aware it’s been periodically endemic since the foundation of their religion in the Dark Ages. An insight into a global satanic strategy covered that historic fact in depth a few months ago. There, we looked at the cause of the Medieval crusades as a reaction to Muslim violence – not vice versa! – and how warped thinking poisoned the Greek-based mind-sets of liberals.

In addition to those earlier facts I’d also refer the PM to the total estimated murders by Muslims since 9/11: over 26,400! (The Religion of Peace database.)  BUT this may be undercounted and need doubling, as determined by the BBC’s ‘thorough analysis’.

!cid_image002_jpg@01CDBDD2Two years ago I blogged about the PM’s comment “A war against al-Qaeda could last decades”, and considered it further in a subsequent post wherein I wrote:

Winston Churchill foresaw of the danger of militant Islam in 1899! His trenchant opinion, based upon personal military service in The Sudan, speaks with great insight and I quote only the portion pertinent to this post.::

“…Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome…”  [Read full extract in Wikipedia’s The River War.]

Notes:

  1. Churchill’s criticism spread wherever he found fault, including the British high command!
  2. I know many Muslims (eg. medical staff) who are a jewel in humanity and, therefore, totally unlike those deranged extremists.

World strikes final “historic” nuclear deal with Iran. Will it bring peace, or war? Some initial thoughts.

This is followed by Joel’s three reports on reactions from the Iranian, Israeli and Arab leaders. As with President Mubarak of Egypt, the Arabs feel deeply betrayed by Obama! (Those reports may be read on Joel’s home page).

(Central Israel) — Lynn and I flew back home to Israel today, and arrived just as the news was breaking that the international community has struck a final nuclear deal with Iran.

Will it bring peace, or war? I am still reading through the 100-page agreement and will have more analysis later. But here are a few initial comments and observations.

President Obama and his team are convinced they have cut off Iran’s path to The Bomb and that the world will now enter a season of peace and stability. “Today after two years of negotiation the United States together with the international community has achieved something that decades of animosity has not: a comprehensive long-term deal with Iran that will prevent…

2015 REPRISE – Review 2: Iran and nuclear ‘fix’

We continue to consider some past posts relevant to today’s events:

IRAN

Invisible HandRegular readers may recall the eschatological role of Iran was drawn to my attention 30 years ago as a non-Christian. I’d been given a new book on history and geopolitics that claimed the Bible held coded and plaintext prophecies on the British Mandate in Palestine (The Invisible Hand)

Whilst watching a documentary on TV about the Iraq-Iran war, I flicked through the book and noticed it has lots of references to the significance of Jerusalem. Then I heard the narrator’s voice over video purporting to show elite units from Iran and Iraq rehearsing an attack upon Jerusalem, despite their being at war with one another! The second signpost – Iran – is getting closer

Courtesy of James Mark Long, www.propheticartists.comDramatic events on this front continue and Bloomberg report what’s been known for many months – Israeli & Saudi secret talks to thwart Iran. (Have suspected for personal reasons that next month could be significant.) My quick re-blog of Mark Davidson’s update failed to connect but do read his original post at:

The Second Signpost Is Not Yet…But It Is Getting Closer

Iranian invasion: get ready for possible SUDDEN economic devastation in the West

Courtesy of James Mark Long, www.propheticartists.comAs the End-time prophecies of Daniel move towards fulfillment, fellow watcher Mark Davidson investigates a scenario similar to the conclusion I drew last July: “We may be about to witness major upheavals that will affect not only the ancient world’s centres of civilisation but also the modern world’s global petro-economy” – see Middle-East events & fulfillment of Bible prophecy – 1.  Mark explains his grounds for this being a distinct possibility and considers the consequential severe damage upon western economies. He also provides a helpful, succinct outline of global finance as well as updating Hadik’s reference to the Swiss Franc (see previous post). Thank you Mark. See also Saturday’s A Middle East in flames is the biggest threat to economies by Andrew Critchlow and Dr Henry Kissinger’s comments of last September on Iran greater threat than ISIS.

Mark Davidson's avatarTHE FOUR SIGNPOSTS

We don’t know when it will be; before September 13, 2015, or after.  But after it happens many of the things you could have done to prepare before it happened may very well be much harder or even impossible to do.

The Second Signpost, the Iranian invasion of the Middle East, have some worried simply because it is the next sign given in the Bible telling us the Antichrist is on his way.  We will see brutality and war on a scale across the Middle East that no one currently alive has seen.  But there is another factor to the Second Signpost that has had me concerned for some time.  As the author of Daniel Revisited, and a watchman on the wall for the signs soon to come heralding Christ’s return I feel the need – indeed the responsibility – to you all to make you aware of something, and make it…

Obama vows “Iran will not get a nuclear weapon on my watch.” That’s only 20 months. What about after? Latest details on the draft nuclear deal & its flaws.

joelcrosenberg's avatarJoel C. Rosenberg's Blog

NuclearDeal-cartoonOn April 2nd, President Obama announced “a historic understanding with Iran” which would “prevent it from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

On April 5th, the President told Tom Friedman of the New York Times, “I’ve been very clear that Iran will not get a nuclear weapon on my watch.”

Yet in the days that followed, the President admitted that Iran’s leaders could race to The Bomb with essentially no “break out” time and with very little way the world could stop them once the deal concluded in 13 to 15 years.

Specifically, the President noted that the deal would be “purchasing” a one year “break out” period during the life of the deal, meaning it would take at least a year for Iran to enrich enough uranium to military grade and build an operational nuclear weapon from the time it made the decision to do so, if it wasn’t already cheating…

The coming Iranian invasion: West and South come into focus

Further to the previous on today’s fulfilment of Daniel’s visions in which I referred to Mark Davidson’s work, it’s fitting to consider his viewpoint and updated map for the situation, as below. I’d add it’s reported two Iranian Revolutionary Guard battalions now overlook the strategic Bab el-Mandeb straits and Khamenei is sending the Iranian navy. Also, US national security ‘experts’ have long seriously underestimated the Saudi royal family and expected it to collapse. Hence, Obama’s clandestine wooing of Iran. (See Goldman’s opening remarks here) Is it any wonder the CIA doesn’t know why Muslims join ISIS?

Mark Davidson's avatarTHE FOUR SIGNPOSTS

The Second Signpost is the invasion of the Middle East by Iran.  Daniel 7:5 and 8:3-4 tell us about it.  The former passage tells us that many countries will be ravaged by Iranian forces, and the latter passage tells us that Iranian forces will advance in three directions.  About three and a half years ago I created the map of the Second Signpost, shown as Figure 10-2, for my first book Hidden In Plain Sight, published in January 2012.  That map is shown below as Map #1.

Map #1. The original map showing possible Iranian military advances during the Second Signpost. (From Hidden In Plain Sight, Nov. 2011) Map #1. The original map showing possible Iranian military advances during the Second Signpost. (From Hidden In Plain Sight, Nov. 2011)

Map #1, showing the invasion by Iran, was based solely on my interpretation of Scripture (Dan. 7:5, 8:3-4, i.e. the Second Signpost) overlaid on my research of the geopolitical and military landscape in the Middle East.  The map was also…

Bible’s prophetic vision of Daniel being fulfilled today

Astonished! And doubly so! LOL!  Not by events, actions or words – but by a map on Friday.

And astonished today too!  First thing, I got an email from the designer of a map that I’d started writing about yesterday – he too was working on the same map yesterday!

Christians have no excuse for not knowing End-times prophecies began coming to fruition a hundred years ago in the Holy Land. After learning about them 30 years ago and then being born-again, I noticed the pace of prophecy picking up around the Millennium. In launching this blog I referred to the importance of eschatology and the acceleration in End-times – and others more qualified than me were saying so (Not many people know this). Now, we’re witnessing the modern manifestation of the battles foreseen in Daniel chapter 8, not between ancient empires but their descendants.

But now, in 2015, the manifestation of yet-to-be fulfilled Biblical prophecies is rapid!

At morning coffee last Friday we quickly scanned our newspaper’s front page. Nina tore out the crossword and I went straight for Con Coughlin’s op-ed buried in the middle pages. This expert with 25 years experience on international terrorism and Middle-East, writing in Saudi airstrikes add fuel to bitter rivalries about Yemen, asks “Whose wars are we fighting in the Middle East?”

Courtesy of DebkaFile

It was a welcome rest after a busy day getting a long post published as I’d worked on it for three weeks. But within an hour incoming news needed to be inserted. It was about Sunni Arab leaders taking military action but without any reference to Washington; and my post of August 2010 had referred to the diplomatic unease. As I like maps I’d noted the associated map shown here – click thereon for link to Special Report.

So that was at the back of my mind on Friday. But now I saw, slap-bang in the middle of Con Coughlin’s piece, this huge map taking up half the width of the Telegraph broadsheet page. It depicts countries following different forms of Islam:

Great Divide: Sunnis & Shias - credit Telegraph

In connection with that Thursday post’s reference to ‘squabbles over succession’ upon Muhammad’s death, Con explains how this brought a rift in Islam,

The split between Sunnis and Shias begins with the death of the prophet Mohammed in 632 AD, and the battle to succeed him as the first Muslim caliph. Sunnis say his brother-in-law Abu Bakr was the rightful heir; Shias say it should have been his cousin and son-in-law, Ali. It came to a head at the Battle of Karbala in modern-day Iraq in 680 AD with the death of Ali’s son Hussein at the hands of the Sunni army – an event which is still commemorated today.

Prophetical maps

However, my immediate first impression was of this map’s similarity not to the Debka map but to two others shown in Daniel Revisited. Mark Davidson illustrates how Old Testament prophet Daniel’s visions of far-future battles between powerful nations, as symbolised by a ‘ram’ and a ‘goat’ in Daniel 8, may relate to ones yet to come between Shiite Iran and Sunni Egypt, Turkey and Arabia. Upon checking this, I was again astonished to note the emphasis of Iranian action towards Yemen, as below:

Daniel Rev fig 10-2

Furthermore, the latest news was of Saudi Arabia AND Egypt attacking Yemen to break Iranian influence, particularly to protect shipping – especially oil tankers! – to/from the Suez Canal via the Red Sea:

From Daniel Revisited: COPYRIGHT Mark Davidson 2012, used with permission.

For an introduction to Mark’s important thesis read Four Signposts of the Books of Daniel and the Apocalypse (highly recommended overview).  His latest sound analysis on Iran is at Daniel 8 and the First Signpost.

Another article in Friday paper’s business section about a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran raising anxiety over oil prices reminded me of what I’d suggested in July 2014. On this I concluded Middle-East events and fulfillment of Bible prophecy as follows:

In my opinion, we may be about to witness major upheavals that will affect not only the ancient world’s centers of civilisation but also the modern world’s global petro-economy.

I had in mind that hostile disputes could lead to Iran closing the Straits of Hormuz into the Persian Gulf, thereby stopping international shipping of oil. Now, if Yemen falls to Iran then its proxy forces can overlook the Bab el-Mandeb straits and control the entrance to the Red Sea. Thus, Iran could control both corners of the Arabian peninsula and threaten the global economy. This would turn existing economic sanctions against Iran on their head!.

That post was followed a couple of months later with Mark’s The Petrodollar’s creator: Iran greater threat than ISIS. He quoted Henry Kissinger as saying,

“There has come into being a kind of a Shia belt from Tehran through Baghdad to Beirut…This gives Iran the opportunity to reconstruct the ancient Persian Empire — this time under the Shia label — in the rebuilding of the Middle East that will inevitably have to take place when the new international borders [are] drawn. The borders of the settlement of 1919-’20 are essentially collapsing.”

The latest from respected financial commentator Ambrose Evans-Pritchard is that Saudi oil infrastructure is at risk as Mid-East conflagration spreads!

What is certainly happening is the strengthening of the Arab League under the direction of Saudi Arabia. David Goldman, a Senior Fellow at The London Centre for Policy Research explains in The Middle-East Metternichs of Riyadh that the 10-nation coalition that Riyadh assembled to counter Iranian intervention in Yemen has a broad mandate to contain Iran throughout the region. Most surprisingly this includes Sudan and Quatar. And Pakistan is now sending its troops, as reported here yesterday.

More emphatically, Goldman concludes that Riyadh acted without the help of the US and in direct contravention of American policy of bringing Iran into Mid-East regional security architecture as an important player.  Readers who like in-depth background will find his article highly informative. (Austrian Chancellor Klemens von Metternich introduced the Congress System of diplomacy to balance imperial power after the Napoleonic wars.)

With March 31 deadline fast approaching, growing number of experts warn against deal with Iran.

Also noteworthy are comments of an Iranian editor who defected during the talks, ““The US negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the 5+1 countries and convince them of a deal”! (Link to article)

(Central Israel) — Less than 48 hours remain for a nuclear deal to be worked out with Iran before the March 31st deadline is reached.

Details of a potential deal are leaking out of the marathon talks being held in Lausanne, Switzerland, but they are far from encouraging.

Senior Jerusalem official states White House tried to unseat Netanyahu

obama-netanyahu4Announced yesterday, and published on World Watch Daily this morning is confirmation of US meddling in another sovereign nation’s internal affairs: that the White House participated in a bid to oust Prime Minister Netanyahu.

A senior Jerusalem source says Obama wanted ‘revenge’ over Netanyahu’s Congress speech and declaration there’ll be no Palestinian state.

According to The Times of Israel,

‘The White House was directly involved in an attempt to unseat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last week’s general election during a nadir in ties between the Israeli leader and US President Barack Obama, a senior Jerusalem official said Tuesday.

‘The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Times of Israel that “it’s no secret” that the Obama administration had attempted to influence the outcome of the election, having been partially motivated by a desire for revenge over Netanyahu’s polarizing speech before Congress earlier this month, which sought to undermine the president’s key foreign policy initiative – a nuclear deal with Iran.’

Continue reading article here, and which reminds everyone that PA president Abbas has already – twice – torpedoed peace negotiations without any US complaints!

As for the Iranian nuclear issue, Israel is not alone in objecting to being railroaded by Obama. Britain, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states have serious objections too. In reporting that France balks at the US-Iranian deal on five counts, DebkaFile offers this perspicacious opinion:

This raises an interesting question: Why does Washington respect France’s right to balk at its nuclear policy but disallows prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s objections in the name of Israel’s security?
The answer is simple. It is easier to put the squeeze on the Israeli prime minister than the president of France or Gulf rulers. Obama has hit on the presentation of Netanyahu’s hawkish attitude as the main hurdle in the way of a nuclear deal as a useful tactic for dealing with the spreading opposition to the deal in Europe and the Persian Gulf.

All this hints at US skulduggery, does it not?

Not noted for its friendly stance on Israel, The New York Times published this by Jodi Rudoren, Remarks from White House risk buoying Netanyahu. In linking to that op-ed the ICEJ noted,

Israeli analysts are now suggesting that Obama and his aides might be overplaying their hand, inviting a backlash of sympathy for Netanyahu, and that they may not have clearly defined what they expected to gain diplomatically by continuing to pressure the Israeli leader. The president’s harsh words have been deemed by some to be patronizing and disrespectful to the voters who rewarded Netanyahu with a resounding mandate for a fourth term.

As Khamenei urges “Death to America,” Kerry insists progress being made on nuclear deal. Obama administration is playing with fire.

Readers wanting some Biblically-related background will find Mark Davidson’s recent thoughts on Daniel 8 of interest, as here.

"Death to America!" says Iran's Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. “Death to America!” says Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

We are rapidly approaching the March 31st deadline for the Iran nuclear negotiations. Yet while Iran makes few if any concessions, the P5+1 continues to make more and more concessions to the tyrants of Tehran.

Iran’s leaders keep openly and unabashedly threatening America and Israel with annihilation. Yet the Obama administration and the major world powers keep giving Iran what it wants. Under the current deal that’s being discussion, Iran does not have to dismantle its nuclear infrastructure. It will still be allowed to enrich uranium. It does not have to disclose its nuclear weaponization efforts. It does not have to modify much less abandon its efforts to build ICBMs. And it will be given assurances that all economic sanctions will be removed from Iran in due time, and all nuclear inspectors will be removed, as well.

This is a dangerous road. The…

1 of 3: The ‘Endgame’ gets ramped up another level

A fast fortnight ploughed a deep furrow along a cycle of time – ‘a wheel within the greater wheel’ of End-time events…

Bells start ringing that we’ve been here before – and at this time of year too! – like fresh, bright-yellow daffodil bells I see springing up outside!  Let me to add to what others are doing as ‘prep’ for 2015…

Spiral stairway to cloudsTime is non-linear.  Our analytical mindsets think time’s a straight line. Often we see time-lines listing events in history – or use one for our own life.

The passage of time and events is seasonal; ie. cyclical. I regard time like a spiral for, when considered dynamically under the interaction of various influences, it’s just like a corkscrew being turned. Nature provides an excellent example that carries information – the DNA spiral.

Spiral stairs franky242Another example: on a spiral staircase we pass by different walls. If it’s in a castle turret there’d be a doorway on each floor and in the same vertical wall of the well. Regard this wall as a certain kind of event and note how it connects with us, or is relevant to us, at different times and levels.

Hence, various types of event can crop up in a cyclical pattern of repetitions at different levels and show some development has taken place. So it is in history and with God’s plans too, could we but be aware, or receive revelation.

Before I heard about Jonathan Cahn’s US best-seller The Harbinger, I’d outlined the Biblical analysis of historical and financial cycles in one of my first months’ blogs,  Points to Ponder 2011-2012. (For more see below.)

Quick recap

Last week I promised to reveal how a possible option between either one of two weeks for surgery affected, or even enabled(!), further insights into something we’d recently mulled over on this blog – Satan’s strategy to avoid the Lake of Fire.

Please accept my apologies for not having done so in ‘the next post’. So much was still surfacing – from both the past and the present – that I had to take stock.  To my great surprise a cycle of events was laid bare.

Blog JigsawOnce again, more of the ‘Invisible Jigsaw’ is appearing, as blogged extensively in 2014  (click image to read about its themes).

So, I’ll explain this year’s view of ‘the grand design’ for you to follow my logic. Let’s look at the jigsaw pieces we’ve placed down thus far.

I mused upon how Satan could have adopted tactics to avoid his destined demise in the Lake of Fire and a progression of ‘pieces’ was revealed as follows:

  1. Paws 4 thought: devilish plot to avoid the Lake of Fire – the removal of conditions necessary for Jesus’ prophesied return: no Jews alive in Jerusalem and Mid-East and disunity among Christians, plus not living in Holy Spirit’s power and a deep   rejection of Jews and Israel on supposedly ‘scriptural’ grounds!
  2. An insight into global Satanic strategy: Part 1 – misinformation from many political leaders. ‘Coincidently’, Archbishop Welby denounced anti-Semitism and had its most vociferous vicar silenced.
  3. An insight into global Satanic strategy: Part 2 – history of Islam from start up to the Crusades and exposure of the myth they taught Muslims to hate and attack Christians. It originated in Western intellectuals, whose fallacies within academia continue unabated!
  4. Anti-terrorism summit confirms this week’s insight – Within a day of blogging as above, international news on security confirmed my conclusions. But technical hitches hindered my publishing this, which revealed I faced ungodly opposition!

History cycles around

On top of those concepts, accelerating developments in the Middle-East only add to the mix. Therefore, an appreciation of my background in this will be of some help.

Pertinent to today’s issues is a personal event that hooked me into Eschatology, as well as subsequent developments, viz:

Mid-1980s

Invisible HandAs stated in this blog’s Welcome, the Iran-Iraq war opened my eyes as an unbeliever because I’d been given an unusual ‘secular’ book on OT prophecies of modern events. Whilst watching a TV documentary about that war I flicked through the brand-new book and noted references to the significance of Jerusalem.  THEN I heard the TV narrator speak about, and showed, elite units from both sides rehearsing together an attack upon Jerusalem! – despite being at war with one another!! So I’ve since kept an eye on international affairs.

Once again, conflict in Iraq involving Iran is in the news because of ISIS’ invasion of Iraq in 2014.

2009

Six years ago last weekend, on 28th February 2009, I started what would become a series of private emails to Christian friends and church leaders drawing attention to the plain fact that events are fitting more clearly into Biblical prophecy.

We’d already debated the Lakeland, Florida, outpouring as I’d known of Todd Bentley before-hand. However, the new direction had become abundantly obvious and so I emailed them, The ‘Endgame’ is now in play.

It was only much later, in Autumn 2011, that the Lord prodded me into going public with this blog. (If you’re interested in numbers; the 700th post is one the above ‘insights’.)

As said, significant End-time events began to escalate. To appreciate how they’ve again become ‘hot potatoes’ you may like to dip into later emails of May and July 2009 noting especially as below:

  • Today’s Importance In History – reference to Obama’s ‘back channels’ (secret diplomacy) contact with and appeasement of Iran, and consequential dismay in Egypt and Saudi Arabia – and their cooperation with Israel.
  • Middle-East Update July 2009 – Obama’s making Netanyahu the bogeyman in preventing nuclear-arms discussions with Iran. Obama’s character.

2010

An entirely forgotten idea privately posited with those friends popped up again unbidden in the last fortnight. Part 2 will show how the shuffled surgical schedule reported in The Shepherd, the Shadow and the ‘Spread’ fits into our ‘jigsaw’.

I hope you’ll have time to dip into those archived papers whenever possible.
