‘Labour MPs have demanded Sir Keir Starmer refer himself to the privileges committee over the Mandelson scandal.
Backbenchers have said that despite pressure from No 10, they will not vote to protect the Prime Minister from an ethics inquiry over claims he misled MPs.
The crunch vote is seen as a vote of confidence in Sir Keir’s leadership, after the Prime Minister held a meeting with MPs on Monday urging them to back him.
John McDonnell, the former shadow chancellor under Jeremy Corbyn, said Sir Keir should refer himself to the committee to clear his name. “When you’re under attack like this you don’t run from the attack, you run to face it,” he told the Commons.
Andy McDonald agreed, adding that the Prime Minister had made it clear “he has not misled this House. So in those circumstances, would it not be the right thing to do to embrace this process and wipe the floor with the critics that put these things to him?”
Nadia Whittome, the Labour MP for South Shields who is a fierce critic of Sir Keir’s, went further and said she would vote to refer him to the committee. The Telegraph understands another Labour MP on the Left of the party is also minded to abstain.
The revolt currently appears to be confined to MPs who are known critics of the Prime Minister.

Sir Keir Starmer should “face the music” and agree to an ethics committee investigation over whether he misled Parliament about the Mandelson scandal, a suspended Labour MP said.
Karl Turner, who lost the whip last month, told LBC he did not believe the Prime Minister had “deliberately misled” MPs, but may have inadvertently misled the House.
“If you’ve nothing to hide, face the music. Give your evidence. Prove that you’ve not done what’s suggested of you.”
He added: “I believe that the Prime Minister had not deliberately misled Parliament. I don’t think he did, but I do think there’s a prima-facie case for him to face the privileges committee inquiry. That’s why it’s there.”

INTRIGUING BACKGROUND
The Man Nobody Is Talking About. His Name Is Sir Philip Barton.
Buried inside Tuesday’s committee testimony, beneath the headlines about constant pressure, bullying and secret job searches, is the detail that may prove the most consequential of this entire affair. It concerns not Olly Robbins, not Morgan McSweeney, not even Keir Starmer. It concerns the man who was there before all of them. Theman who said no. The man who then left his post eight months early.
Sir Philip Barton was the Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office when Peter Mandelson’s appointment was announced in December 2024. He was, in other words, the most senior civil servant in the building at the precise moment the machinery of state was being directed to place a man with documented links to Russia and China into the most sensitive diplomatic posting in the Western alliance.
What Robbins told the committee on Tuesday is this. Barton pushed back. When the Cabinet Office argued that vetting Mandelson was unnecessary, that a peer and Privy Councillor did not require developed vetting, Barton refused to accept it. He insisted that vetting was a requirement. He had to be, in Robbins’s own words, very firm in person. He also voiced reservations about the appointment to Jonathan Powell, the National Security Adviser, reservations that were noted and not acted upon. He was worried, Robbins suggested, about exactly the same reputational risks that had been detailed to the Prime Minister before the appointment was announced.
Then Sir Philip Barton left his post. Eight months before his tenure would otherwise have concluded.
The question Richard Foord put to Robbins on Tuesday was the right one. Why did Barton’s tenure end early? Robbins said he did not know. He suggested ministers may have felt it was time for a change. That answer is not an answer. It is the absence of one.
Consider what the timeline now shows. A senior civil servant pushes back against the appointment, insists on vetting when the Cabinet Office wants to bypass it, raises reservations with the National Security Adviser, and departs eight months ahead of schedule. His replacement arrives to find the appointment already treated as a fait accompli, the vetting process under constant pressure from Downing Street, and the question of outcome entirely subordinate to the question of speed.
If Barton was removed because he stood in the way of this appointment, then Robbins was not the first civil servant sacrificed to protect it. He was the second. And the question of who else was moved aside, overruled or silenced in the months between December 2024 and the moment the security services finally said no, becomes the most important question this affair has yet produced.
Starmer sacked Robbins for following the rules. The Foreign Affairs Committee will now call Barton to give evidence. What he says will either confirm what the timeline already suggests or provide an alternative explanation that the evidence does not currently support.
There is a pattern here that goes beyond process failure. Process failures are random. They point in different directions. What this affair has produced is a series of events that point consistently in one direction. Officials who comply are retained. Officials who push back depart. The security services are bypassed. The vetting is treated as an administrative inconvenience. And the one question nobody at the top of this government will answer is why this appointment, this man, this post, mattered so much that every obstacle was removed to make it happen.
Barton apparently asked that question. He left eight months early. The country deserves to know why.
This begs the question, in view of his time as Director of Public Prosecutions (Head of the Crown Prosecution Service) 2008-2013 failing to crush the Muslim grooming gangs, what was the extent of his personal friendship not only Mandelson, who was connected with Russia and China as well as directly involved with paedophile Epstein, but also of Starmer’s own involvement with those nations and/or the criminal or perverted cronies?

The stain of a Jeffrey Epstein association is nearly impossible to wash away, and in the case of former British ambassador to the US, Lord Peter Mandelson, the disgraceful status is even transferable to third parties, like Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

TIME FOR CHRISTIANS TO ACT AGAINST THE ENEMY OF SOULS
It’s a sure sign satan sees its demise is over the horizon in stepping up fierce opposition to what the Lord is doing through many thousands coming to learn about Jesus and the holy scriptures not only in Britain but also globally. As in the latest news of police harassment of an evangelist for telling the Good News of Jesus for every living soul, thereby validating the retired MI5 Director’s warning in 2009 of Britain sleep-walking into a police state, yesterday’s Times reports on a local Council intention to prosecute a church for evangelising the public.
Christian Concern has circulated this email of their public remonstrance:

But in Colchester, this has taken a new form with the council seeking to stop evangelists from mentioning judgement and hell.
Bread of Life Community Church from Colchester has been issued with a Community Protection Notice (CPN) that could criminalise its pastor and members for preaching in the city centre.
Our legal team is backing the church as it challenges the legality of the notice.

Council wardens in Colchester repeatedly demanded cessation or reduction of amplification, despite the current Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) containing no prohibition on amplified sound.
A Community Protection Warning was issued in November 2025, followed by threats of fines.
Wardens then raised concerns not only about volume, but about the content of thepreaching, including theological references to judgement and hell, which the council claimed might distress some listeners.
The Church openly records and publishes video footage of their outreach – and the church says no evidence exists of threats or harassment. This is a church that has engaged in this outreach for six years, as well as providing a regular foodbank collection to the local community and having a track record of buying warm clothes for people who need them.
And they are being threatened not because of their actions but because of their message.

Similar attempts to suppress Christian outreach are appearing elsewhere in the UK, with several cases being resolved by Christian Legal Centre lawyers.
This has included in Uxbridge, where a church was forced to legally challenge and ultimately overturn a council ban on its outreach ministry.
Also in Aldershot town centre, a council attempted to secure an injunction that could have criminalised Christian street preaching, even Christmas carols, before retreating under legal pressure.
These incidents are just some examples, and they demonstrate a growing trend of local authorities exceeding their powers to restrict peaceful Christian witness in public spaces.
But the law is clear. Articles 9 and 10 of the Human Rights Act 1998 protect the right to manifest religious beliefs and to speak freely in public.
“This is a deeply alarming development … public order powers designed to address genuine anti-social behaviour are now being used to clamp down on Christian preaching. Today it is amplification, tomorrow it is the content of the message itself. We are seeing a slippery slope from managing noise to policing theology.”
Public authorities must not use their powers to censor lawful religious expression or silence peaceful Christian witness.
This must stop.

‘Erdogan’s Delusional War Cry: Turkey’s Islamist Strongman Threatens to Invade Israel
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ramped up his anti-Israel tirade in a fiery April 12, 2026 speech, openly threatening military action against the Jewish state.
“Just as we entered Libya and Karabakh, we can enter Israel,” Erdogan declared. “There is no reason not to do it. It will require strength and unity.”
He slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “blinded by blood and hatred,” accusing Israel of atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon while positioning Turkey as some regional savior for the Palestinians.
The outburst came as tensions simmer in the Middle East, with Erdogan claiming only Pakistan’s mediation in U.S.-Iran talks held Turkey back from “showing Israel its place.”
This is classic Erdogan bluster from a NATO member who cozies up to radicals while cozying up to Western defense budgets. Turkey’s military looks big on paper, but invading a battle-hardened Israel defended by superior tech, intelligence, and resolve is pure fantasy.
Israel has crushed far bigger threats before. Erdogan’s tough talk may fire up his Islamist base at home, but it risks dragging Turkey into a fight it cannot win and exposing the fractures in NATO.

I didn’t expect to return to considering the eventual fall of Islam when rational adherents wake up to its errors and want something far better. The Arab Spring of 15 years ago was a starter and now Emily Smith’s article in last week’s Daily Telegraph brings further credence to the Muslim peoples’ being awakened by repulsion of extremists (emphases are mine):
‘An Islamic leader has backed the Conservative Party and Nigel Farage after they criticised a mass prayer session for Muslim men in Trafalgar Square.
Writing for The Telegraph (see below), Dr Taj Hargey said he found the open-air worship on Monday, attended by hundreds of men, including Sir Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, “disturbing”.
He agreed with Nick Timothy, the shadow justice secretary, who described the event, organised by the Ramadan Tent Project, as an “act of domination and division” in an article for The Telegraph on Tuesday.
Mr Timothy prompted a backlash from the Left when he wrote: “To use [Trafalgar Square] as a stage for this act of domination and division is completely wrong, and it should never be allowed to happen again.”
As thousands of people gathered in Birmingham for Eid celebrations, Dr Hargey, an imam and director of the Oxford Institute for British Islam, also backed Mr Farage on the same issue.
I note Dr Hargey’s many wise and sensible points in his accompanying letter, especially:
‘But Labour is totally wrong about this, and their response is also deeply telling about where the Government is going badly wrong when it comes to pandering to radical Islamists. As an imam of some 40 years, I have been deeply concerned about the direction of my religion in Britain and the West.
What were once fringe, fundamentalist, extremist voices have captured our mosques. Now these hardliners, importing a radical agenda from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and other puritanical places, are regarded as the mainstream Muslim voice.
They have inveigled their way into polite society, exploiting useful idiots on the Left to present themselves, somehow, not as the radicals but the normal Muslims who speak for the whole community.‘
He concludes,
‘My informed views, honed over decades of scholastic endeavour, are at risk of being banned as extremist and Islamophobic, while, bizarrely, the militants who are doing profound damage to our way of life are immune from any substantive criticism.
This populist Islamic militancy is evident everywhere in our society. Take the burka (facial mask) and the hijab (head covering), for instance.
There is not a single verse in the Koran that obliges women to hide their faces or hair. It is an alien cultural affectation. So, too, is the clergy’s chauvinist sexism that demands men and women must worship separately.
And so, when these people seek to dominate our public spaces and spread their malign influence further still on our British way of life, they must be called out. So bravo Nick Timothy and Nigel Farage for having the guts to take these people on. And shame on Keir Starmer for his cowardice.’

The Rev. Shah Ahmadi, an evangelist, pastor, and the director of strategic alliances for Iran Alive Ministries, grew up in Iran and lived under its repressive regime for22years.
He recently told CBN News about his upbringing and eventual decision to flee Iran for the U.S. “When I was age 8, my dad took me to the mosque, so I start learning about Islam because of my dad,” he said, noting his father, who has since become a Christian, was once a devout Muslim. “He took me to there because, in Iran, [the] only religion you can practice is Islam.”
By age 13, Ahmadi was memorizing the Koran. And he eventually went on to get a degree in survey engineering — and became one of the top engineers in the country. Ahmadi was working in a petrochemical factory and came into the Iranian government’s crosshairs after reportedly seeing a secretive government installation.
Suddenly, he was being investigated and interrogated and asked if he had a connection with Israel or with America. “We said, ‘No, no, no. I have nothing to do with them,'” he recalled, noting he soon was warned that he would be killed if he didn’t flee the nation. “I couldn’t say bye to my family, my mom and my dad, and this was hardest part of my life.” Ahmadi continued, “I had to escape illegally from Iran because, if I go through the border, they would arrest me. So there was a winter time in our area … There’s a lot of snow. So I had to pass the mountain between Iran and Turkey border.” A smuggler took Ahmadi and strangers accompanying him on the difficult journey. “That was like hardest, hardest part of my life,” he said. “I’m just running for my life and the fear, and … I don’t know [if] I’m gonna be die. I don’t know the area.”
Once in Turkey, Ahmadi had to figure out who he could trust. With Iranian agents purportedly operating inside Turkey, he wasn’t sure who would be safe to confide in. “That’s when I start drinking, smoking because I looked at the world, how they are getting satisfied, how they are overcoming the pain, the loss I had,” he said. “God — Islam didn’t answer me.” At that point, praying and fasting in the Islamic tradition simply didn’t help him find his footing. Eventually, Ahmadi made his way to England, where he continued to party — until someone presented him with the Gospel message.

I saw a hanging man. At first he was alive, but dying. Later, seeing more clearly, he had now died. His hands were tied in front of him by his wrists wrapped together with several loops. His feet & knees were also together but I did not see how or if they were restrained.
I was told:
“He represents the globalists. These men (& women) are satanists. I have no intention of treating them as individuals. They are a hive – like wasps, but not bees. Bees produce. They do not think but obey their master – satan; they kill, steal and destroy.
My solution & judgement is to hang them. This will become evident because it will be shown, seen and displayed. You are (all) no longer reliant on the old media – they are liars. You have alternative media. It will be there.

I saw the same vision, but this time he was abruptly jerked / lifted up into the air. It was the moment of execution beginning. This was lynching not drop hanging.
The Father said:
“It will be sudden and brutal”.

Returning to this in 2026 (10/2/26) I realised that explanation was required. At the time I must have simply written what I saw and heard, but the two visions require clarification.
In the second vision I saw a lynching, which if considered as descriptive would suggest an individual or individuals being lynched by a mob. However, the first vision must be applied. The Father was clear: “I have no intention of treating them as individuals. They are a hive – like wasps, but not bees”. That shows that the lynching is metaphorical.
The picture (it seems to me) is of a wasp’s nest being hauled into the air, for all to see. “My solution & judgement is to hang them.” That is, the entire nest. When lifted up the place to see them is the ‘alternative media’ – the internet.
In addition, lynching implies an extra-judicial process; so it is the ‘mob’ (the populations) that will see and carry out the process.
Will deaths follow? I cannot answer that for certain, but it seems to me that the image of lynching does imply that. The type of death… I can’t say. But, I doubt Nuremberg Trials will take place, though that is merely my opinion based on the British establishment’s history of protecting itself.’
Little did I realise that the month before blogging on Iran and the Nuclear ‘Fix’ (the Nuclear Agreement or ‘pact’ between President Obama and Ayatollah Khamenei), that intercessory psalmist prophet Kim Clement delivered this word for Bibi Netanyahu after the previous year’s stunning prophetic declarations:

Prophecy Coming to Pass in Real Time, Netanyahu: “A Voice That Will Carry the Roar of the Lion of Judah!”
And Quote: “The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that the operation targeting Iran has been named “Roaring Lion.”
This follows the June operation last year, which struck Iran’s key nuclear facilities and eliminated its military leadership, dubbed “Rising Lion!”
The use of “lion” in the operation names continues a symbolic tradition.
At the time, Israel cited the Old Testament verse from Numbers 23:24:
“A people rises up like a lioness, and like a lion — who dares to rouse him?”
The lion symbolizes the valor of the tribe of Judah, one of the twelve tribes that formed ancient Israel and the ancestral lineage of today’s Jewish population.
The connection between the lion and the tribe of Judah originates from Genesis 49:9, where Jacob blesses his fourth son, Judah, saying, “Judah is a lion’s cub.”
“A Double Portion Anointing of Ezekiel and Jeremiah — a voice that shall carry the sound of The Roar of The Lion of Judah!” [RB emphasis]
During my time of prayer for the Nation of Israel today, The LORD brought Benjamin Netanyahu before me, and suddenly I heard The Spirit say these Words to me,
”For many will say concerning Benjamin Netanyahu, surely God has given, but now God has taken away.
But I say to you, “Watch and Listen!” For just as I said to My Prophet Ezekiel, so now I say to My Prophet Benjamin Netanyahu — son of man, go now to The House of Israel and speak My Words to them.
For you are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to The House of Israel.
Not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand!
Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you. But The House of Israel is not willing to listen to you, because they are not willing to listen to Me, for the whole House of Israel is hardened and obstinate.
But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are. I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint.
Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house!”
As I heard those Words, [RB emphasis] The Spirit of The LORD then showed me a Mantle that came to rest upon Benjamin Netanyahu — an Ezekiel Mantle — as one that is called and anointed to speak to The House of Israel, and even to the Global and Economic Organisations of the World, in the coming days.
Then I saw that The Hand of God has made his face (Benjamin Netanyahu) hard against their faces, and his forehead hard against their foreheads — like the hardest stone — harder than flint, he has made his forehead.
Then I heard The Spirit say, ”Watch — as I cause My Prophet Benjamin Netanyahu to become as a thorn in their sides, as a scorpion in their shoes, even as a watch dog that will bark aloud, relentlessly, giving them no peace.
Yes! He shall be known as A Great Trouble Maker — A Constant Irritation — and a Stumbling Block to their destructive plans.
A voice that cannot and will not be silenced. A voice that will carry the sound of The Roar of The Lion of Judah.
A voice that will speak of My coming Justice and Judgment in the Nations, and a voice that will only get louder and louder in the days ahead.”
As I heard those Words, The LORD then brought The Prophet Jeremiah before me, and I saw a second Mantle fall upon the shoulders of Benjamin Netanyahu, and I heard these Words,”A Double-Portion Anointing, for a time of Great Awakening is now here!”
And then I heard The Spirit say,”For My Prophet Benjamin Netanyahu shall carry a Double Portion Anointing — the Anointing of Ezekiel and Jeremiah shall rest upon him.
My Word will be as a sharp two-edged sword in his mouth, for I have Anointed and Appointed him over Nations and Kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant!”

Thinking of the few prophecies I’m aware of about Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu – and in this blog’s first month I posted about him starting a Bible home study group, and declaring 2011 Christmas greetings – I was pleased to hear Jonathan Cahn on The Secret Behind the Ayatollah’s Fall describe Bibi’s PIVOTAL ROLE in this year’s Feast of Purim (where the Jewish people were saved from genocide about 2,500 yeas ago; the feast is not merely a celebration of survival but a profound expression of joy, gratitude and divine providence).
In fact, last weekend’s pre-emptive attack against their satanically-inspired foe makes a Biblical replay of Purim. Here’s Jonathan (from 21:46 timestamp):

Satellite images showed heavy damage to Ayatollah Ali Kamenei’s fortified compound, including buildings believed to house his home and the so-called house of leadership. So the the secret here ,mystery, the one who executes the evil Persian leader will be linked to the name Benjamin, of Benjamin. On February 28th, the one who executed the evil Persian leader was linked to the name of Benjamin. Namely, his name was Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin. He must be linked to the name Benjamin. And now, because Haman was such an evil man, when he died, there was celebration throughout Persia.
Iranians celebrate the death of Ayatollah
The death of Iran’s supreme leader, the Ayatollah, brought celebration throughout Persia, throughout Iran, but it wasn’t focused on the Jewish people. It was the Iranian people themselves. You had an Islamic nation celebrating and they were celebrating America and Israel. There were videos on YouTube showing Iranians with signs saying, “Thank you, America.” And then, “Thank you, Bibi.” That’s the nickname of Benjamin Netanyahu. One of these Persian Iranian people had a red cap on that said, “Make
Iran great again.” There were even videos of Iranians waving Israeli flags.
The blue and white of the Israeli flag of their blue and white. Actually, blue and white had a role. You know, the planes that came in and struck down Khamenei, they had on them on them. They had a they had blue and white on them… a blue, a white circle there. Well, interesting. They’re marked by blue and white. Interesting. Listen to this. Esther 8, I’m sorry. It says,
“Then Mordecai went out from the presence of the king wearing royal robes of blue and
white.” Amazing thing. Purim is a festival of joy for the Jewish people.
They sing and they dance and they celebrate about being saved by God because of the ending of an evil leader plan and rule in Persia, Iran.
Well, now all of the world and Iran, the people of Persia, are celebrating the ending of the rule of an evil leader of Persia. And they’re celebrating it…at the time of Purim. I don’t know if they realize it, but they were saved through an ancient Jewish holiday that brought them so much joy.
Let’s bring it home now. What does all this reveal?
Number one is that what happened on that Saturday with America, Trump, Israel, Netanyahu, Iran, the supreme leader was part of an ancient war of Amalek and God that begins with Moses when they come out from the Pharaoh. And when God says, “I will war against Amalek.” In every generation, he will war.
What happened? What happened to the quote supreme leader? He was struck down by the hand of God. That’s what it reveals behind it all. The hand of the holy one. Because the supreme leader of Iran is not THE supreme leader. The Supreme Leader is the holy one of Israel. He’s the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!!
What happened? What does it tell us? It tells us that God is real. This is real. It’s all real. What the Bible says is real. The God of the Bible is alive and well. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is still on the throne of all. The God of Esther, and Mordecai is still moving through the world in history as much as he moved back then in Bible times. Bible times. We’re in Bible times because God is real. It’s amazing – it’s amazing. You see, we’ve got a faith that can that actually we can talk about this actually coming true in the news. There’s no other faith like this.”
