True news about Trump that ALL Christians need to know re. persecution

This news follows hot on the heels of the the murders of Christians in Sri Lanka whilst celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, 21st April (as covered here).  Last Tuesday April 23rd, the Washington Examiner announced:

Trump Privately Urges World Leaders To Take Better Care of Christians…

‘White House acting chief-of-staff Mick Mulvaney said on Tuesday a little known fact about President Trump is that he often brings up Christianity when meeting with foreign leaders.

“What you don’t know about is what goes on behind closed doors. I very rarely talk about my private meetings with the president,” Mulvaney said at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC. “I can assure you that I have been sitting with him in the Oval Office, in the Cabinet Room, with leaders from around the world where he will look at them and say, ‘Now, you’re not doing enough to take care of the Christians in your country,’ or, ‘Thank you for helping the Christians in your country’.”

“That is heavy stuff, and it strikes me it’s probably something that hasn’t been articulated in the Oval Office in way too long,” he added.

Addressing a crowd of more than 1,000 Catholics, Mulvaney said the Trump has embraced faith in the White House and encourages Christians and people from all religions who work there to “take their faith and work it into our policies…If you take a look at what the administration has done in the first two and a half years, I think you can see the principles of our faith being manifested,” Mulvaney said.

‘Mulvaney told attendees that too few people across the country are showing their faith and publicly embracing it. “Not enough people are open in their faith, not enough people are comfortable saying, ‘Yeah, you know what? I went to church today”.’

I found this gem buried in Friday’s Koenigs’ Eye-View From The White House, which quotes Western Journal’s article on that news.

You may recall my writing some time ago that the White House has never been as open and welcoming to Christians as it is under President Trump’s administration. Bill opens his latest with this insight,

‘As I continue to report from the White House, moving into my 19th year, we have never had an administration more supportive of Israel and willing to take on Israel’s greatest threat — Iran. Israel’s appreciation was confirmed by members of the Israeli media in my White House conversations on March 25, during Benjamin Netanyahu’s participation in President Trump’s official Golan Heights’ resolution.

‘Vice-President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are evangelicals who fully understand the significance of Israel, both biblically, strategically and practically. Additionally, staunch supporter of Israel National Security Advisor John Bolton’s hardline position persuaded President Trump to eliminate all waivers to countries buying oil from Iran and will impose costly sanctions if they continue to buy oil from Iran.’

What About ‘Touch Not The Lord’s Anointed’?

In view of this important insight into the character of President Trump, and of Dr Lance Wallnau’s hearing from the Lord’s anointing him as a ‘modern-day’ Cyrus, I want to refer briefly to the implicit relevance of ‘touching God’s anointed’.  This is succinctly explained at Jesus Alive as follows:

‘We can also see David applying this when he refused to “touch” (or kill) King Saul in (1 Sam 24:4-13) because he was “God’s anointed.” In (1 Sam 24:9-10)(NASB), David says to Saul, “Why do you listen to the words of men, saying, ‘Behold, David seeks to harm you’? (10) Behold, this day your eyes have seen that the Lord had given you today into my hand in the cave, and some said to kill you, but my eye had pity on you; and I said, ‘I will not stretch out my hand against my lord, for he is the Lord’s anointed.'” David repeats something similar to this later in (1 Sam 26:9-11,23-24), when he has a second chance to kill Saul, and repeats it a third time in (2 Sam 1:13-16) when someone later claims to kill Saul.’

THEREFORE, in regards to the official state visit of the President of the United States of America to Britain, the grossly ill-mannered, arch-hypocritical actions of the leader of HM Opposition (Corbyn) and Speaker of the House of Commons (Bercow) in refusing to meet Trump or allow his addressing Parliament will, according to that scripture and the law of sowing and reaping, bode ill for them personally. That is, there are deep personal consequences to their decisions as representatives of the citizens of Great Britain.

Moreover, it makes me wonder if this may have applied to an ordained minister who’d attended, albeit in an unofficial capacity, the anti-Trump demonstrations organised by the Mayor of London. Subsequently, this minister encountered a radical change to his well-known ministry in its becoming peripatetic as a result of its permanent base having to close!

I wonder, therefore, if that change may be connected with his having taken a stance that specifically opposed (ie. to ‘touch not’) the Lord’s anointed leader of America??

Satan’s strategy made plain for ALL to see in Sri Lanka

A few years ago I considered how the enemy of our souls wants to avoid its foretold demise in the Lake of Fire, and this would be done primarily through anti-Semitism and increasing persecution of Christians, especially attacks upon churches and communities. This developed into a 3-part theme that looked at modern evidence and the myths of Muslim ‘history’ and attitudes towards Christian crusades of survival, which then got confirmed by an anti-terrorism summit.

In that year of 2015 so much was happening to demonstrate the reality of those suppositions that I blogged another tripartite series The ‘Endgame’ Gets Ramped Up Another Level.

The mass-murder of men, women and children in Sri Lanka is the latest tragedy, but the plain fact it took place whilst they celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from death and His victory over satan through redeeming humanity from its authority and grip, demonstrates the attacks were satanic in nature and perpetrated by demonised humans – those whose lives have been perverted by demonic lies into hatred and destruction of anything to do with Jesus Christ and Christianity.

Moreover, they are aided and abetted by those stooges who daren’t and cannot admit to, much less recognise, the Truth of God, His Son our Saviour, His Holy Spirit and sacred scriptures. I mean mealy-mouthed politicians and media who control free-speech by criminalising critics of any religion that teaches hatred and murder!

Here’s Revd Gavin Ashenden (extra emphases mine):

‘One of the Sunday school teachers in the Church in Sri Lanka has written about what they were doing on Easter day.

“Today at Zion Church we asked the children, ‘how many of you would be willing to die for Christ?’ Everyone raised their hands. Minutes later we took them into the main service. The blast happened. Half of them died on the spot.”

‘In one of the two other Catholic Churches that were blown up, the bomber waited until the children had come back into the main liturgy before he detonated. Killing the children appeared to have been a priority to him.

‘Some people may have been surprised by the UK Government’s initiative that lay behind Jeremy Hunt writing forty letters to a variety of Christians and agencies offering support for Christians in their persecution. Not many people are aware that Christians are the most persecuted religion in the world today.

Last year, over 300 Christians were assassinated each month. 245 million Christians were persecuted by either their neighbours or the state they lived in.

‘At first sight, it seems odd that the world’s largest religion should be the target of so much hatred and violence. But at the risk of drawing lines in history that are too sharp, it seems that there are three figures who stand as major figures of history and their teaching and influence drive the values of their followers.

‘They are Jesus, Mohammed and Karl Marx. Their followers are Christians, Muslims and Communists. In terms of violence, Christians are the odd ones out.

Jesus taught his followers never to use violence, but only humility and compassion. There is no sanctioned violence in the New Testament.

‘But there is in the Koran.

Mohammed told his followers to offer non–Muslims the chance to convert, and if they didn’t, to use violence to make them. Islam swept through the known world carried by armies who did just that.

Marx also was a proponent of violence. He called his followers to armed revolution, and in the twentieth century, they obeyed with alacrity. But with Communism the killing didn’t stop with the revolution. It continued. In the Little Black Book of Communism Stephane Courtois estimates that the sum total of deaths communism caused, with its genocides, forced famines and executions, to be over 94 million.

‘Bill Warner in his book The Islamic Trilogy estimates the death toll of non-believers at the hands of Islam, between its founding in 610 and 2006, to be more than 270 million non-Muslims.

‘It’s not easing off; from 2001 to 2017, Islamic activists carried out more than 32,000 attacks that killed more than 85,000 innocent and unsuspecting civilians. The Intelligence Services in the UK have identified 23,000 jihadist ‘extremists’ of whom 3,000 are believed to pose an active threat to their non-Muslim neighbours.

‘It is perfectly true that Christianity has blood on its hands too. But the distinction is that with the exception of the self-defence, the violence has been mainly instigated by the State rather than the Church. There are no Christian jihadists, no Christian terrorist bombers. And if there were, the New Testament would be held up to them to show they had no right to call themselves followers of Jesus or Christians at all. In other words when Communists and Muslims engage in violence they can justify it by appealing to Marx and Mohammed; but when Christians turn to violence, they can’t. It is forbidden.

‘So in part it is the use of violence sanctioned both by Marx and Mohammed, that has meant that Christians have become the most persecuted group in the world today.

What is very odd beyond that is the way in which the media and the politicians do all they can to avoid telling the truth about it. The media avoid the “M’ word as long as it can. The child abusers of Rotherham were called ‘Asian’ to the deep distress of Sikhs and Buddhists. The BBC said it had no idea who on earth would even think of sending suicide bombers into Sri Lankan churches for as long as it could. !!!!

‘When the dreadful killing in Christchurch happened the media instantly named the victims as Muslims. In Sri Lanka suddenly the euphemism ‘Easter worshippers’ was used. Imagine the outcry if the media has called the victims in the Mosque at Christchurch ‘Ramadan worshippers’?

‘Why is there such a reluctance to acknowledge that both Communism and Islam resort to violence to the extent that they do? In the same week as the New Zealand atrocity where 50 Muslims were killed by a lone gunman, African Muslims murdered 120 Nigerian Christians and the world’s media kept it secret.

‘With very rare exceptions, Christians do not kill Muslims or Communists. Both Communists (currently in China) and Muslims kill Christians on an industrial scale. As the Sunday School teacher said, Christians are taught to be willing to be martyrs for Jesus. Unlike Muslims they are not taught to make martyrs of others. Why won’t the media and the politicians tell the truth about it?

Footnote: According to the extensive database maintained by The Religion of Peace, there’s been over 34,900 terror attacks by Muslims since the infamous 9/11 atrocity.

Update on ’10 years on and freedom of speech is now in handcuffs’

In 10 years on and freedom of speech is now in handcuffs I covered the example of Christophobia exhibited in the dubious arrest in February of street preacher Olewole Ilesanme outside Southgate tube station. The police have changed their story and so Christian Concern has issued this press release about his case:

There is so much to update you on as the story of street preacher Oluwole continues to develop, and we want to ask if you will pray with us. Over the past week:

Tomorrow (Thursday 21 March) Oluwole’s amazing journey since the video of his arrest went viral will continue at London City Hall. From 10am, London Assembly members will address three questions to London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Read the questions that will be put to the Mayor of London.

This represents an important opportunity to ask the man responsible for the police in London about the treatment of Christian street preachers on our capital’s streets. The whole session will be live-streamed and we plan to provide coverage throughout the day on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

In a country that used to lead the way in upholding Christian freedoms, freedom of speech is now under attack.

We’ve reached an important moment.

Will you join with Christians across the world to pray for street preacher Oluwole and our team?

If you can, please pray:

  • For street preacher Oluwole and that he will be protected and encouraged
  • For Sadiq Khan that he will recognise the need to do more to protect Christian freedoms in London
  • For the London Assembly members who have shown such an interest in this case
  • That our police force will do more to protect Christian street preachers
  • For our legal team as they support Oluwole through the next steps
  • That our petition calling on the Home Secretary to do more to protect freedom of speech on our streets will be shared widely and signed by many.

Share the petition with your church

Strong warning to anti-Semites: you are in personal post-mortem peril

Wed 18th April: in view of the banner headlines in today’s newspapers I’m sticking this post dated 26 March to the blog’s home page (click image for today’s online edition)…

Labour MPs have turned on
Jeremy Corbyn over his “betrayal” of Jews as they described rape and death threats they had received for speaking out against anti-Semitism in their party. Mr Corbyn sat in the Commons in silence as his MPs read out hate mail they had received from his supporters. Others received standing ovations for calling out the “bullying and intimidation” in the party as the Labour leader was told: “Enough is enough.”

FOUR Jesus’ End-Time Signs Seen – Pray for Christian ex-magistrate before Tribunal

‘As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Him privately, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?“…Now learn this lesson from the fig-tree. As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening you know that it is near, right at the door!”  (Mark 13:3, 28-29 NIV).

Today, Croydon Employment Tribunal starts hearing the case of Richard Page – a Christian who was removed from being a magistrate after he expressed his belief that children do best with a mother and a father. The case is scheduled to last for five days.

An ‘Action Alert’ has been issued today to Pray for a fair, just outcome for Richard from Christian Concern (click to read full details)

Richard was first challenged by his seniors in late 2014 when, after hearing an adoption case, he could not agree with his fellow magistrates that placing a child into the care of a same-sex couple was ‘in the child’s best interest’. Richard says,

“As a magistrate, I have to act on the evidence before me and quite simply, I believe that there is not sufficient evidence to convince me that placing a child in the care of a same-sex couple can be as holistically beneficial to a child as placing them with a mum and dad as God and nature intended.

“I am surprised that this Lord Chancellor should seemingly pander to the new political orthodoxy when what it amounts to is social experimentation on the lives of the most vulnerable children in our communities. To punish me and to seek to silence me for expressing a dissenting view is deeply worrying. I shall challenge this decision as it is deeply illiberal and intolerant. It is vital the family law courts always have in mind the best interests of the children…”

Richard is supported by the Christian Legal Centre and represented by its Standing Counsel, human rights barrister Paul Diamond. The Centre’s chief executive, Andrea Minichiello Williams, comments:

“The Lord Chancellor has removed Richard from the magistracy for allegedly being ‘prejudiced’ and for speaking out in the media about what has happened to him.

This unmasks the face of the new political orthodoxy; it is unkind. It tries to silence opposing views and if it fails it crushes and punishes the person who holds those views.

“To remove someone like Richard from the bench is modern-day madness. He has a lifetime of public service and expertise in mental health. He is motivated by his Christian faith and a deep compassion for people.”

APPLICABLE SIGNS (About Signs refers):
  • #2 – Disciples will stand to testify before councils, rulers and kings and be beaten in synagogues.
  • #7 – “You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
  • #19 – (The coming of the lawless one is according to the workings of satan with all power, signs and lying wonders, and) ‘with all unrighteous deception among those who perish because they didn’t receive a love of the truth, that they might be saved’
  • #20 – ‘For this reason God will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie (!!)…’

Prince Charles warns UK Christians not to take freedom to worship for granted!

Politico-religious author ‘Cranmer’ has blogged today about the Prince of Wales’ visit  to London’s Melkite Greek Catholic parish, based at St Barnabas Church in Pimlico, where a Coptic Orthodox Bishop and Syriac Archbishop were in attendance. The Prince spoke of his own faith, his despair at the appalling plight of Christians in the Middle-East and his hope during this season of Advent.

In Prince of Wales to UK Christians: “Do not take your freedom of worship and freedom of expression for granted”, Cranmer blogs

And then came this nugget of theo-political awareness:

“It is so vitally important, in this season of Advent and throughout the year, that Christians in this country and elsewhere, who enjoy the rights of freedom of worship and freedom of expression, do not take those rights for granted; and that we remember, and do what we can to support, our fellow Christians for whom the denial of such rights has had such profound and painful consequences.”

Nuggety, because the Prince of Wales has gone further in this speech than many politicians and church leaders currently dare. Most will talk effusively of inter-religious tolerance and the imperative of freedom of worship, but very few these days will defend Christians’ freedom of expression, i.e., freedom of religion; the freedom to manifest their faith in the public space; to walk in spirit and in truth; to propagate the Christian faith and witness to Christ in the world.

Cranmer refers to the outstanding work of Christian Concern supporting/fighting in the courts on behalf of many individuals persecuted in Britain because of their faith at work or in public:

Freedom of worship and freedom of expression are foundational British liberties, currently besieged (if not nullified and negated) by ascendant and increasingly frequent appeals to ‘religious hatred’. By exhorting British Christians to guard these hard-won liberties, the Prince of Wales shows that he is patently aware of their incremental erosion – not least because they aren’t included among the Government’s rather fuzzy  notion of ‘British values‘. We supplant religious freedom with statist tolerance, and exchange public theology for mandatory respect, at our peril.

Reminder of vision of Holy Fire falling

World In Fire by Danilo Rizzuti (Freedigitalphotos.net)

This month has seen a rapidly growing number of powerfully encouraging and uplifting words and visions for followers of the Lord Jesus to weigh, ponder and pray. Into that mix, especially regarding visions of holy fire, UK Prophetic Words has published this from 2009 brought by Susan O’Marra. Her final paragraph is noteworthy in connection with the state of panic in the devil’s camp that the Lord showed Emma Stark (here):

VISION OF THE RAIN OF FIRE

‘In the vision, I was looking at the world from a suspended position. I could see people and areas from a panoramic position and also at times, I saw things close up. The position varied as it did with the scenes and with the messages that I was given to understand by the experiences given to me.

‘I saw what looked to me like great fiery rain coming from heaven and it came in great drops or elongated streams. It was not like the natural rain that we know of, but it was like spiritually infused living molten lava, a real fire, but it was Living Spirit; the living fiery essence of the Father that was raining down towards the inhabitants below.

VP Pence says advancement of religious freedom and defense of persecuted Christians…must be top priority…

After Obama administration’s deliberate anti-Christian policies we’re now seeing Trump’s pro-Christian stance in action.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

Pence-InDefenseofChristians(Jerusalem, Israel) — In the face of genocide against Christians in the Middle East, the United States government is finally making the advancement of international religious freedom — and solidarity with persecuted Christians and other faith communities — a top priority.

Several days ago, Vice President Mike Pence delivered the keynote address at a conference in Washington organized by the group, “In Defense of Christians.” You can watch the full speech by clicking here. You can read the full text by clicking here. I encourage you to do both, and share it with family friends. It was an excellent address, and very encouraging to see the seriousness with which this administration is taking the issue.

Pence said he will soon travel to Israel and Egypt, in part to advance the issue. “President Trump has directed me to go to the Middle East in December,” the V.P. told the assembled Christian…

Hatred, like beauty, may be in the eye of the beholder; cowardice, complicity and the Church of England!

Revd Gavin’s satirical latest slots in well with this blog’s recent items, showing it’s now time for REAL Christians to take a firm, loving stand against the stupidity arising from apostasy and pig-ignorance.

Gavin Ashenden

Denouncing your neighbour for a ‘thought-crime’ was a favourite past time in the old Soviet Union. The problem for anyone accused of having the ‘wrong thoughts’ is that it’s impossible to defend yourself.

Well the practice is back. ‘Hate crime’ is the new thought crime. If someone else’s views makes you feel uncomfortable, all you need to do is to accuse them of either ‘hate’ or, if you prefer, ‘extremism’, or best of all, both.

The latest seed bed of hate-filled extremism has been lurking undiscovered for the last 16 years in a Primary School, in Tunbridge Wells.

With psychological and social consequences that surely defy imagination, a generation of children have been infected by ‘hate’ at the hands of an extremist organisation masquerading as a Christian charity.

For 16 years this charity called Crossteach has been sowing ‘hate’ and ‘extremism’ under the pretence of pretending to help local C…

Update on removal of CrossTeach team from Anglican school

Further to my two posts on the headteacher of St John’s C of E Primary School in Royal Tunbridge Wells severing its ties with CrossTeach, James Church brings informative and thus valuable background to the discussions on Cranmer’s post.:

First, he writes: ‘This most distressing as a church that has hosted CrossTeach’s Easter Experience and as a CrossTeach volunteer I can testify to how sensitively it is led, to the dedication of the volunteers and the creativity of the program as a whole. It is most disheartening to see Wayne and others labelled as extremists and the important work they are doing trashed mainly though ignorance combined with cowardice.’

Later he adds: ‘After a conversation tonight with our CrossTeach team locally, I have discovered a number of things, 1. they have every sympathy with the Headteacher who they feel has been put in an extremely difficult position, 2. there is a lot of false information about what was or is being objected to, 3. at the root of the problem is one particular parent who largely objected to a lesson in which their child was told that heaven would be better than the best things on earth, 4. other parents have been rallied to the cause with often misleading information. It has been rumbling on for some time with the team often being misquoted or quoted out of context. In all lessons two representatives of the team are there along with a teacher.’

I responded,

‘Very helpful and thank you James, yet those ‘figures’ don’t quite add up. In view of the publicity and uproar it would be appreciated if the Head explains his actual grounds for capitulation.’

The Telegraph quotes headteacher Dan Turvey as saying “I do not believe CrossTeach has done anything wrong,” he said. “They do not deserve the tarnishing of their good name and allegations of extremism that have taken place over the last few months.”

So why couldn’t Dan ‘man-up’, perhaps because he’s not a real, practising Christian?

Also, I’d draw attention to:

A letter submitted to the Times for publication.

Most noteworthy in view of what prophetical voices are bringing about the shaking of church and of society. Welcome News: three Christian street preachers acquitted

Christian Concern brings news of a third street preacher’s acquittal of all charges by the police against him under public order offences!

A week ago two others were acquitted of their previous conviction after an appeal (see my blog of Judge decides which parts of the Bible can and cannot be preached!), as announced in:

The Arrest, Abuse and Acquittal of Three Street Preachers

‘Christian evangelists Mike Overd, Adrian Clark and Michael Stockwell, were arrested last year for sharing the gospel in Bristol. The court dismissed the case against Adrian Clark, ruling that there was no case to answer.

‘In February this year, Mike Overd and Michael Stockwell were convicted of religiously aggravated public order convictions. They were found guilty under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 at Bristol Magistrates’ Court.

‘Thursday 29th June 2017, Bristol Crown Court acquitted Mike and Michael of their convictions at an appeal hearing.’

Once, British police were well-respected for their impartiality but now enforce irrational, fascist policies, as may be gathered from CC’s above video!

In CC’s press release for the latest, Andrew Frost explains his motivation for preaching on the streets:

“I do what I do because I’m moved by the love of God to go out into the streets and preach to people. I wanted these men to know the truth, that Jesus can set them free. Because in the sight of God, these things are wrong.”

He adds that he’s previously been approached by people in same-sex relationships and every time reassures them that he has nothing against them.

“I am thankful that the judge saw sense and acquitted me of this charge…Christians need to be free to share the good news of the gospel to anyone who will listen – as we are commanded in Scripture to do.”

Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre supporting Mr Frost, comments: “We are delighted with this result. The freedoms that we enjoy today in this nation are largely due to our biblical foundation, yet the freedom to preach from this very Bible is under increasing threat. At the Christian Legal Centre we are seeing an increasing number of street preachers arrested for preaching the gospel.

“This encouraging result should offer some reassurance to Christians who may feel fearful of the consequences of sharing their beliefs with others.”
