Apostasy, Repentance and the Remnant Church – Chris G Bennett

In view of recent news of the anti-biblical views in the Anglican and Roman churches, proving we are truly in the End-times return of the Days of Noah prophesied by Jesus Christ Himself, this posted on Monday makes a welcome word from the Lord:

The LORD has once again spoken to me, and is speaking through me, about the Laodicean state of much of The Church in Britain, America, and the world today.

Lukewarmness and apostasy has overwhelmed so many otherwise sincere and earnest folk by the imposition of limitations and restrictions which, for whatever reason, The Church simply failed to oppose.

They just accepted the limitations, rolled over, and submitted to a heinous over-reaching authority that sought to strip our basic human rights to a minimum.

Add to this that much of The Church has succumbed to worldly pressure to accept every ungodly, unbiblical vision of ‘inclusiveness’ in The Church.

I gave voice to this quite simply when I said this to a friend today, “Sadly, over the last three years in particular, much of The Church has abdicated all responsibility for preaching the gospel and even for actually being The Church as she was meant to be!”

There is only one way forward — Repentance and Renewal! There is only ONE Way, only ONE Church, only ONE Gospel, only ONE Word, and ONE Blood.

No other way will do. No other Gospel, Word, or Blood.

The Remnant Church, drawn from all denominations of believers, must lead the way in this; must turn The Church from her wicked apostate ways back to the ways of The LORD.

Yes, there needs to be a major, major movement from the few to lead the many back to the faith of the generals through the centuries.

Back to the God revering, Bible believing Church as she was always meant to be. Back to preaching the unashamed Gospel of Jesus Christ, Him crucified dead and risen, His atoning Blood, forgiveness of sins, and a life pleasing to God rather than one pleasing to man.

The Church must once again say,

“I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the Power of God for Salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16

The Church must once more preach,

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only SON, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have Eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17

And The Church must teach,

“And when I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come as someone superior in speaking ability or wisdom, as I proclaimed to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I also was with you in weakness and fear, and in great trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in Demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of mankind, but on The Power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (Emphasis all mine)

The gifts and baptism of the Holy Spirit must once again become prominent in the Remnant Church all around the world.

I prophesy that not only is this already beginning to happen, but it will continue to happen until The LORD returns for His bride.

The army of God here on earth is not defeated, and never will be, but is returning in power in order to bring great glory to her King.

Just as Jesus Christ prophesied, USA now brings End-times into our days

Yes, as J Biden said yesterday in signing away his personal stance ‘on the dotted line’ as a president of the United States of America, the law brought into effect “law matters to every single American”. Moreover, in brazenly defying Biblical and Catholic teaching his action involves EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE WORLD, just as Jesus Christ Himself foretold about the days preceding His Return in Glory. SO, GET READY …!!!

Now first things first (and sandwich-style!), the Holy Word of God:

“IT IS WRITTEN” (Luke 17 NKJV):

The Coming of the Kingdom

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, [f]‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is [g]within you.”
22 Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 And they will say to you, [h]‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them. 24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed….”

YES GOD IS LOVE, BUT HE ORDAINS HOW WE SHOULD LIVE:

A REMINDER OF THE DEADLY SIN OF SODOM: (Genesis 19, NKJV)

Sodom’s Depravity

19 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2 And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.”

3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”…

Sodom and Gomorrah Destroyed

12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place! 13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”
14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking…

HOW AND WHY HUMAN SEXES WERE MADE (Genesis 2 NKJV):
23 And Adam said:

“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called [i]Woman,
Because she was taken out of [j]Man.”

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be[k] joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Rabbinic tradition cites the wickedness of Noah’s days in which God deeply regretted making humanity because our depravity (Gen 6:5 translinear Hebrew) arose from not only fallen angels interbreeding with women but also by state-sanctioned same-sex marriage!

I’m grateful to Tim Shey for copying the above-linked excellent posting into his comment “Speaking of the Supreme Court, here is something about the judges of Sodom that brought down the wrath of God on Sodom & Gomorrah:” 

It brings full Biblical context to the word Wanda Alger brought for the SCOTUS major case.  Moreover, it suitably augments my postings about these times mimicking the Days of Noah and of Lot – and remember the Obama, Biden, Clinton direct action in bringing Jesus’ prophecy about this extremely ungodly state of national affairs, BUT which precedes the Lord’s Return – SO WATCH OUT!

Note and meditate upon Luke 17 (NKJV):

22 Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.23 And they will say to you,[h]‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them.24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day.25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed…”

I understand that, according to rabbinical tradition, in Noah’s time same-sex unions were recognised and legitimised – hence our Holy Creator’s deep disgust and decision to eradicate such disobedience to His holy ordinance (Gen 2:24), as cited by Jesus.

On 22.2.2021 The Lord tells Timothy Dixon, “30 days…” – revisited

In the light of the prophetic words Hank Kunneman brought we need to reconsider a prophetic word Timothy Dixon heard direct from the Lord on 22nd February. I’d blogged on it in connection with it being on the 7th anniversary of a word Kim Clement brought on President Trump, as well as tying in with prophecies of a ‘whistle-blower’ (by Wanda Alger) and of ‘rabid dogs’ (by Veronika West).

He begins, “The Lord came to me last night and told me to speak about this and tell it to America, to the world and to the leaders of this country.”

Tim is referred to is the first chapter of the Book of Proverbs, which has three sub-heads – The Beginning of Knowledge – Shun Evil Counsel – The Call of Wisdom. Tim starts reading after, that is omitting, a most significant verse, v 23, where Wisdom instructs, Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you’. With a very noticeable heavy heart, he reads from verse 24…

‘Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, 
25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
30 They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke.
31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies (devices).’

He omits the closing verses 32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them; 33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

After speaking on how God would no longer allow His Spirit to strive with mankind in the Days of Noah, he says that’s the situation today.  Here’s my rough transcript:

6:30 mark –  “God’s given everyone a chance in that nation and to repent…Tell them that “Thus saith the Lord “that the whirlwind, seven rabbis, woman in purple dress and donkey that die” (as herein) outside the Capitol building…

“The Lord told me to tell you that in 30 days within 30-day period God is fixing to shake the leaders of this country, God is going to shake the leaders of foreign countries that have come against the Name of Jesus…

“God is going to put Donald Trump back inside that office.

“There’s an angel of death that’s going to strike those leaders, one who’s way up there, and will pass with a heart attack.

“God’s coming! Some say God’s grace is beyond all this (retribution) but why did Ananias and Sapphira die in front of Peter …

“But there comes a time when anyone who thinks they can fight God, or that your evil is going to overcome – then God’s going to fight you!

“The Lord has told me this, this is not a dream, which is why I’m telling you within 30 days God is going to rattle the structure of politics, and is going to visit people.

“That storm, whirlwind is coming, going to blow in faces and remove, snatch people.

“We will see the Hand of God in a way that we’ve never seen!”

Tim attests that  “This is the word from the Lord Jesus”…and as regards the Supreme Court, He’s said He’s going to turn the tables

“The beginning, the beginning of a cleansing as begun!…We’ll see God’s Hand, I don’t know about after the 30 days but Donald Trump will be returned as President of the US again and put back in office..

“They’ll betray Kamala Harris and she sees it, and she will turn on them because they betrayed here..A great storm of chaos is coming” says the Lord of Hosts.

“God can do things that are totally impossible to man..I believe it’s going to come to pass just as God has spoken.”

NOW, upon revisiting this prophetic word 31 days later, I’m struck by the God-incidental timing of the wider revelation of that deep evil of which the Lord speaks. Our Christian sister who keeps close watch on those satanic strategies is not alone in her opinion of Biden’s and other leaders’ long-standing involvement. Hence, their wanting to promote full-term abortion and human trafficking by gangs of criminals.

Therefore, I attach these in-depth reports from Dianne Marshall for your consideration. The first is exceptional but kindly bear with the distressing detail of the second:

AWESOME vision to manifest in same way God’s Spirit brought the animals to Noah – Tim Dixon

After 5 minutes strumming his guitar in worshiping the Lord and “break a way through, ” prophet-evangelist trucker Timothy Dixon speaks about his relaxed ‘Southern’ way of sharing the dream-visions the Lord gives him, saying he prefers not to rush through when recounting what God’s doing. Tim also says, “satan’s out more than ever and we’re fighting a battle that’s never been fought before…It’s a time when prophets, apostles and preachers are being attacked far more than ever before…an attack upon Christianity, upon faith to discredit it and us. But God is moving powerfully as a result of ‘The Return’ prayer call in Washington DC last September, but the devil doesn’t like it.”

After my several posts on the parable of the wheat and tares I took special note of what Tim heard about its application now! At 13 minutes, he begins telling about such a powerful dream, the first part of which woke him up – and then he went right back into it!

Tim speaks not only from memory but also refers to his journal, and reflects upon what God is showing him:

1. Taken to the time and full duration Noah was building the Ark and saw mockers and scoffers who thought he had lost his mind in doing it and proclaiming God intends to destroy the earth (“We have the same thing today as people just will not believe”).

2. When it was built, Tim heard God tell Noah, “I will cause the animals two by two to come to you!“ (per Gen 6:20 – my emphases) The Lord showed him in the dream how He did this by His Spirit in willing it to be done and “I saw how they could not resist!”

3. Then the Lord said to Tim, “I will cause My word that I have spoken about ALL this evil, the election.. everything – I’ll cause My word to come to pass and I don’t need man or the power of anything other than My Spirit to make it happen!”

4. God’s going to shake the world one more time for people to become ready to, as opposed to, the coming Revival and End-time harvest and satan rousing many to be dead against everything of God and slaughter believers, as in its flood (Rev 12).

5. Next, Tim sees 300 federal judges of high and supreme courts from across the US gathered outside the US Capitol building, which is where its laws are made, and the Lord Jesus Christ standing in front of them.

6. “As He commissioned them he gave to each one a candlestick to hold…He stood behind a rostrum like a preacher and started commissioning them, telling them what He wants them to do: to stand for righteousness – to stand for the truth – do not waiver – and the Spirit of God was telling these judges they must stand for the spirit of their oath – it wasn’t just about the Constitution but also to the Lord the God of heaven and earth, ‘In God We Trust’

7. Tim saw angels and chariots of fire in the heavens ready for action. “The angels said, “It’s the time of the Harvest.” The Lord walked out and the judges and the angels were standing outside the place and the Lord brought with him the Holy Bible, God’s Word, and put it in front of each of the 300 judges and asked them to put their hands upon the Bible. They started giving an oath to the Lord and to the United States for the freedom and values of Christianity.”

8. “As each judge.. placed their hand on the Bible they knelt, but as He went along there were some who would not do so but refused to put their hand on the Bible and kneel…Then the Lord said to the angels, “Gather the tares and bind them and burn them!” Then the ones that would not kneel were taken off the gathering place platform, and taken away because they would not be commissioned by the Lord…I don’t now where they went but they were no longer there.”

9. “I saw inside the Capitol and Nancy Pelosi was standing behind the podium up front and I saw a chair to the side…as though in a courtroom.Then I saw Jesus Christ sitting in that chair. Everyone inside this building was judging Jesus! [Tim is deeply affected] As the Lord sat there Nancy said, “Do you not know that I have the power to crucify you?”

10. “Then the Lord spoke back and said, “You have no power at all if it was not given to you from above, from the Father!” Then she slammed her gavel down and said to those present “What do you all say? What do we do with this man?” and people inside the room began to scream and cry, “Crucify him! Crucify him, give us Barabbas that this must stop!”

11. “Then the back door opened up and five supreme courts justices walked in…the first one was Chief Justice John Roberts (carrying) a huge pan with handles and he stood in the front and the others stood in twos by his hands. Then the remaining judges out of the 300 who’d been left outside started walking in single-file through the front door. Whilst everyone was crying and screaming, Justice Roberts had the pan and the judges walked up to the pan and washed their hands and said they’d have nothing to do with the crucifying.

12. Next, those holy-commissioned judges went to stand at the back, lined up around the room. Then the four with Justice Roberts washed their hands and he too washed his and said, “I find no fault in the man that you would crucify.”

13. Next scene of Tim’s dream was of the angels he’d seen outside, one grabbed and jerked the top off the Capitol building – “Awesome, awesome, awesome to look at and see what was going on. And they were ready to ride, they were ready to go, and the Lord looked at me there at the bottom of the steps, from where I could see everything from where it started to when it ended. but when it ended the Lord looked at me and told me,

“JUST AS EASY AS I MOVED ON THE ANIMALS TO CAUSE THEM TO GO TO THE ARK, OUT OF THE JUNGLES, OUT OF THE WOODS – JUST AS EASY AS MY SPIRIT MOVED AND MADE IT BE SO – I’LL KEEP MY WORD THAT I’VE SPOKEN ABOUT ALL OF THE ELECTION – I WILL PUT THE PRESIDENT BACK IN PLACE!”

“God’s power, God’s will, God’s ways. What people don’t realise is they’re used to a bunch of phony stuff…that doesn’t come to pass…but when God has people that will stand up and speak with God’s voice…they’re standing up and what God is saying is coming to pass just as fast as they can speak it..and He said to me “I’m going to stop this evil and send revival across the world.” The greatest revival and it’s going to bring freedom, not under the hands of a communistic demonic ruling where everything’s being fought against…There’s SO many that know absolutely know nothing about the Lord and twist the Bible and tell all kinds of lies…”

Veronika’s vision of burning bush fits sequence of Biblical parallels!

Although not a fan of Sid Roth, I recommend his video-interview because it puts the vision of Donald Trump and a burning bush into the perspective of Biblical prophetic parallels. Moreover, Robin Bullock’s opening reference to 2012 as beginning a timeline of parallels fits into not only my dream and Bill Johnson’s word for the UK in Sept 2011 of the Coming Kingdom and launching this blog, but also William Koenig on Bible cycles as well as Nathan Morris’ word 2012 Setting the Stage for the End-times and that of Dr Sharon Stone’s on the world-changing significance of Hurricane Sandy….!!!

End-Times Briefing 10: the centre line – where are we now?

Annex A to Neil Mackereth’s paper Simplicity goes deeper into Matthew 24 signs than earlier Briefings 2: the ‘When?’ and 3: the ‘What?’ of Watching [cross-references to the book of Daniel are mine]:

1 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

THE CENTRE LINE OF END-TIME PROPHECY – WHERE ARE WE NOW?

At the start of Matthew 24 the disciples are seeking Jesus’ acknowledgement that the Temple is a beautiful building.  They were shocked by His response, that the Temple would be utterly destroyed, not one stone left on another.  This startling prophetic statement leads them to ask two very significant questions:

“When will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Jesus responds to this as two questions, the second having two parts)

Earthquakes within hours of prophecy, now ‘Ring of Fire’ rattles! (Fulfilled Prophecy #34)

Early readers of Urgent Word for Nations, posted most unusually on a Friday (27th July) may have missed my brief postscript and reply to a reader’s comment four hours later on breaking news of two minor quakes in Israel that same morning. The word brought by Veronika West reads:

“WATCH! FOR THERE IS COMING AN EVEN GREATER SHAKING AND SHIFTING IN THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH, WATCH! FOR MOUNTAINS WILL BE UPROOTED AND REMOVED AND THE WATERS OF THE SEAS WILL BE GREATLY STIRRED UP, WATCH! FOR THERE WILL BE MORE EARTHQUAKES, ERUPTIONS AND TSUNAMIS THAT WILL BE SEEN ACROSS THE GLOBE. DAUGHTER WATCH! FOR HEAVEN IS NOW INVADING THE EARTH, WATCH! FOR BEHOLD, I AM PUTTING MY FOOT DOWN UPON THE NATIONS AND THE EARTH WILL SHAKE, SHIFT AND TREMBLE BEFORE ME, YES! WATCH! FOR NOW MY FOOT COMES DOWN UPON THE NATIONS TO CRUSH THE HEAD OF THE SERPENT SPIRIT”!

After publishing that prophecy I saw breaking news on earthquakes, then read some details on World Watch Daily quoting The Jerusalem Post – 3.7 Earthquake Hits Sea of Galilee & Surrounding Area: (emphasis mine):

‘An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale was felt in the area of the Sea of Galilee according to the Geophysical Institute of Israel on Friday at 11:52. At first, the earthquake was estimated to measure 4.2 but these reports were later corrected.
‘Dozens of tremors have been felt around northern Israel in recent weeks. Experts in the field believe that the occurrence of a strong earthquake is almost certain and that its impact on various regions of the country will be enormous.’

To ‘watchers’, demonstrations across Israel on 22nd July by lgbt people in protest against not being able to have surrogate parenting is significant, not as they’d suppose but because of their timing. The marches ‘coincided’ with the most solemn day in the Jewish calendar: Tisha B’Av, 9th day of the month of Av, upon which both the first and second Temples were destroyed, although separated by almost five hundred years. No wonder the land has now been shaking for days!

That is, the satanic spirit that usurped the symbolism and meaning of the rainbow, in connection with God’s covenant made after the Flood, has perverted it to a corrupt meaning. Nevertheless, it well serves to confirm the accuracy and application of Jesus’ likening these End-times to “the Days of Noah”! Thus, I’m reminded of my mini-series of insights into global satanic strategy.

SO maybe the Lord is starting to show His displeasure at such unrighteousness!

Earthquakes on Pacific ‘Ring of Fire’

I’d left the above news unpublished, and referring to it as a fulfilled prophecy is rather premature plus the fact ‘quakes are not so unusual – then came ‘biggies’ in Indonesia!

And yesterday on Koenig’s news-site, I read about further developments along the lines of the prophetic word:

‘Big One’ talk swirls as 69 massive earthquakes hit the Pacific’s Ring of Fire in 48 hours – click to see map/video and article on Fox News, a summary of which reads:

‘A large swath of earthquakes hit the Pacific’s so-called Ring of Fire earlier this week, prompting some to wonder if it is a precursor to the oft-discussed massive earthquake, colloquially known as “the Big One.”

‘Sixty-nine earthquakes, including 16 tremors registering 4.5 or above on the Richter scale, recently hit the area, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), which recorded the events but did not issue a warning.

‘Several of the quakes registered significant impacts, including one that hit 5.0 and shook the area on Tuesday morning. Fiji appeared to be the most impacted, as five tremors above a 4.5 magnitude hit the small island.’

Note: USGS map of significant worldwide quakes currently lists 19 in past 30 days but the media report refers to all those which were recorded, ie including minor tremors.

Bible Update: 2Thess 2 – Apostasy within ‘churches’ (Signs Nos 6, 15 & 19)

Now we know what ‘Signs’ we’re watching out for, here’s a couple that are happening nowadays and, regrettably, in too many churches:

  • falling away from faith (2Thess 2:3 – Sign #15)by
  • the unrighteous deception (2Thess 2:10 – Sign #19)

Moreover, Sign #6 (Mark 13:8, 12-13) too is appearing as ‘brethren’ in the faith are acting against brethren. Eg., self-styled brothers/sisters in lgbt ‘church’ in Blackpool seeking to ban evangelist Franklin Graham from entering Britain – utterly outrageous!

None of those false brethren have ever done what this renowned Christian and his charity Samaritan’s Purse have done across the world in implementing Sign #1: eg. opening up communist North Vietnam in being officially welcomed by government officials in Hanoi, where he’s preached the gospel to hundreds of churches there!

In Jesus’ apocalyptic letter to the 7 churches in Asia Minor, He spoke of His “hatred of the deeds of the Nicolatians”, a group claiming superior status that permitted idolatry and sexual immorality in Ephesus (Rev 2:6) and especially in Pergamos (Rev 2:14-15); and in Thyatira a Jezebel operated (Rev 2:20-21) where, unless they repented, Jesus would deal direct and severely with their sinfulness!

As sexual sins were sin then, then they’re sin today! Therefore, it’s not unreasonable to realise that leaders/attendees of churches who condone, encourage and practise such sins today are in the very same situation and need to repent earnestly.. In perverting the apostolic and traditional teaching on sexuality and claiming superior ‘moral’ authority to do so, they’re no different to the heretics and gnostics with whom the early church was in deep dispute. (I was involved in all that before being saved – “I’m Free!” refers.)

On the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, with Martin Luther nailing the 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church, Anglicans nailed (or tacked) a similar protesting document to the doors of five Church of England cathedrals. Leaders in the movement told PJ Media they intend to push the Church of England back to the Bible and against a “secular” form of “soft socialism.”

“These postings of the Southwark Declaration represent a grassroots protest amongst both the orthodox laity and the clergy against the complacent selling-out of the Church of England to the current secular zeitgeist in the name of progressive Christianity,” Gavin Ashenden, a missionary bishop to England who rejected his ordination in the Church of England (and his position as special bishop to Queen Elizabeth II) this year, told PJ Media.

William Booth’s prophecy of today’s dangerous apostasy

The First General of the Salvation Army, William Booth (1829-1912), is often quoted as shown above on foretelling changes in the approaching Twentieth century that could take place within churches.

His words are very accurate in prophesying global, liberal changes for the 21st Century Church, as reported in my recent posts. For more about this read Dr Joe Vankoevering’s brief article entitled 100 Year-Old Vision Coveys Sobering Warning to the Church.:

Continuing from #1 – for ease of reference, the prime prophetical point is unequivocally stated at 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 – ‘that Day (of the Lord) will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped…’

Re-reading that scripture upon learning of July’s Sex-Synod shenanigans something struck me from each its verses, namely:

  1. the CofE is in full-blown apostasy and thus will get at best a full-blown shaking down or, at worst, a deepening schism between orthodox and permissive clergy!
  2. someone will soon be on the world scene and manifest the antichrist spirit as ‘the son of perdition’, but is satan using the current situation as a ‘trial-run’ of what’s foretold by using ‘unwitting’ secular leaders as its mouthpiece??

Important to note that I’m NOT saying those people are demonic or demon-possessed. Disciples of Christ are only too aware of the nature of the spiritual battle being waged worldwide for everyone’s spirit, souls and minds – it’s influencing almost every aspect of our lives. The not-yet saved are thereby highly vulnerable and susceptible to satanic deceptions and all too easily fall prey to the enemy of our souls. It wants nothing less than our destruction, spiritual enslavement and eventual incarceration in hell.

PARLIAMENTARY IMPLICATIONS

In tandem with the General Synod’s formal declaration on banning Conversion Therapy, we see humanistic notions of equality, diversity,  rights and sexuality permeating ‘progressive liberal’ goals. John Bercow, long-standing LGBT activist and the Speaker of the House Commons, addressed Pink News at a reception in Parliament. Although speaking in an unofficial capacity, in view of that Parliamentary position his opinion may be deemed as being an ‘ex-officio’ statement. Premier quotes him as saying,

“We are marking 50 years since the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality.

“There’s always a balance to be struck – we don’t want to behave as though it’s all over, that everything has been done. Nothing remains – because that isn’t true.

“I still feel that we can only really have equal marriage when you can b***** well get married in a church if you want to do so.”

‘When the law changed in 2013, churches were offered a protection that they wouldn’t be forced to host gay marriages in their building.” 

[Pink News reports: “‘I suppose in marriage terms there will only really be complete legal equality when it is permissible for a gay couple to marry as a matter of right in a church.” Referring to the Church of England’s clause, he added: “I always felt it was a pity when the same-sex marriage legislation went through that as a way of accommodating some of the church interests there was that compromise which detracted a little bit from the concept of complete equality”.’]

Believers take a stand. Call for CofE reforms explodes

A fascinating fact in this latest of Gavin Ashenden’s ‘over the Pond’ chats is that the Church Times wouldn’t refer to him for years because of his orthodox stance. BUT in view of over a thousand more signatures from clergy and laity appended to the letter to the Telegraph, it recognizes a movement is starting and quickly published two reports:

Rebels? In church? Just who’s rebelling??

My friend and author of The Pursuit of Pleasure and Feasting on the Father, Revd William Smith, emailed me today in response to my last post’s reference to Gavin Ashenden leading a group of ‘rebel Anglicans’. I have Bill’s kind permission to publish his reaction:

Dear Richard,

REBELS?

Grace, mercy and peace to you both in our Beloved Saviour and King.

Following on from yesterdays “Watch” with the Gavin Ashenden article, I believe we have the wrong emphasis on this. (ie. in Christian Today article).

Gavin, GAFCON, and the open letter to York, are in no way rebellious. These precious faithful ones are simply that, faithful ones.

The rebels are all those who have abandoned biblical teaching in favour of contemporary ideas and unrighteous ways. It is Lambeth Palace, the Synod (in general), the supporters of “Pride” etc, who have left the truth and are in rebellion against God and His revealed ways for human behaviour.

I have said this elsewhere and feel very strongly that we should be declaring this unashamedly and unapologetically.

The rebels are those who have turned from God, not those who are walking faithfully with Him.

There is a pressing need for Anglicanism, and much of the rest of ‘the church’ to be made aware of this. To recognise the truth of what I have here written and for there to be a turning in support of these faithful ones in rejection of the others. It is being portrayed wrongly making the “rebels” (the faithful) to be those destroying the so called unity of the church, while all the time they are upholding its faithful following of The Lord Jesus. (Rant over)

I do believe we urgently need to redress the prevailing attitude and see Truth restored, the bible honoured, celebrated and followed, rather than being shamed as divisive.

For your thoughts.

Much blessing and encouragement as this battle intensifies as biblical truth is so under threat from within.

It’s worth noting today’s newspaper item on the Roman Catholic Bishop of Shrewsbury, Rt Revd Mark Davies that Christians could be treated as extremists in being targeted by the Government’s new counter-extremism measures. On The Great Apostasy and Deception

This extract from a long piece blogged two years two weeks ago is reprinted as lead-in for the next post on how last week’s events in the Church of England and Parliament fulfill End-time prophecy of the soon return of Jesus Christ.

After writing about Humanism being the Forerunner of the Antichrist I looked at the spirit of Humanism’s offensive and its role in the Greece-EU crisis. A couple of letters to one of the first churches planted in Europe warn about its deceitful effects upon beliefs and values.:

EXTRACT from FUNDAMENTAL FLAW IN WESTERN SOCIETY…HUMANISM

APOSTASY and DECEPTION

The Book of Acts records that, whilst on a mission in Asia Minor, the apostle Paul was supernaturally called to visit Macedonia over in mainland Europe (Acts 16). In about 49 AD he arrived in the port of Philippi in northern Greece and planted a house church led by a business woman known as Lydia. From there he and his companion Silas went south to Salonika (Thessalonica), found the Jewish synagogue and preached there. A thriving church of devout Greeks and some Jews was established, but they helped Paul to escape from his violent opponents. Within a couple of years he wrote from Corinth two concise letters to those new believers to clarify points arising from his teaching.

One of those themes was upon the expected return of the Lord Jesus Christ and Paul’s second letter clarified the brief reference in the first, as follows (emphases added).

‘Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.’ (2 Thess 2 NKJV)

He proceeds at length to explain that the ‘mystery of lawlessness’ is already at work, but that someone who will be the very personification of evil will be revealed and come onto the world stage. Then the Lord will come from heaven and destroy him by the glory of His physical return to earth (2Thess 2:8)

Today – now – we’re well into that first stage, the ‘falling away’ from true faith in Jesus Christ, and which is also known as the ‘Great Apostasy’, as is so abundantly evident across the once-Christian Western world. (Eg. recent video clip on John Kilpatrick vision: ‘The United Apostates of America’.)  Paul proceeds,

‘The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.‘

This means that those who fall away from the fullness of faith as originally taught by the Apostles, will become so unrighteous in God’s sight that they will be wide open to being deceived by Satan and his agents. They bring a distortion and twisting of the Gospel to accommodate people’s preferences and desires instead of obeying God’s commands.

It is clear this deception is the consequential result of not loving the truth, who is the very Word of God in the person of Jesus Christ, and thus not desiring Him and the salvation He bought them by dying in their stead on the cross.

The next verse is extremely ominous. Paul explains that, because their attitude remains deliberately ungodly, the Almighty is not only allowing them to be strongly deceived but is sending an irresistible delusion, the consequences of which will condemn them:

‘And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.’

By way of a careful caveat we need to note that a number of believers too readily quote verse 9 about some people through whom miracles, signs and wonders are displayed. As in my recent post on the accuser of the brethren attacking prophecies such self-appointed inquisitors claim all such demonstrations are deception. But upon reading and understanding the chapter in its entirety (as here) we find their claims to be rather judgemental.

Verse 12 gives the game away! Only those who despise the truth of the Gospel will be misled and suffer the consequences.
