During my long-weekend read of Alan Shemwell’s excellent Trustworthy and True I noted how his description on pages 71-72 relates to part of the vision Veronika West had posted on Friday about the four faces of God (next post). So the timing is ‘God-incidental’ for Alan writes and refers to Ezekiel 1:4-12 and Revelation 4:6-8:

‘So, the four camps (Judah the Lion, Ephraim the ox, Reuben the man, Dan the eagle) surrounded the Tabernacle (God’s throne room on earth, inthe same way thatthe four creatures (that resemble a lion, an ox, a man and an eagle) surround the actual throne of God in heaven.’
