Something good in UK’s ‘marriage’ Act for Christians?

The coffee-time conversation with Steve continues. Nina and Simone catch up with us on our way to the cafe’s bar for fresh, full mugs and hear Steve exclaim,

“What! What on earth’s good for believers about the ssm Bill?” The startled looks our wives dart at each other convey; “What on earth have our men been talking about?”

Back in our secluded corner, Steve summarises our conversation and he’s ‘champing at the bit’ to take charge. I want to steer it another way but Simone beats us to ‘the off’. As a solicitor she brings a fresh view.:

Legal eagles’ views

“How the Bill was rushed through and given royal assent clearly smacks of censorship in a totalitarian state. A barrister and senior lecturer at the University of London wrote a splendid professional paper quite relevant to this issue. David McIlroy explains why a democracy’s legal system can’t have a morally neutral playing field. I noted his opinion that,

A public square from which religious influences are excluded is not a neutral public square. It is a public square in which all influences bar the secularist ones have been censored. That is not a public square in which everyone’s voice is heard and everyone’s views are respected, it is a public square in which religious voices are silenced and anti-religious views are imposed. This is not a tolerant society, it is a tyrannous society.

“What he also says about the double-importance in a Christian society of how the Last Judgement affects the law is especially interesting…I recall bits like:

…It means today’s rulers are understood, and (should) understand themselves, to be answerable to a higher authority in their actions. They know they will be judged for how they exercised their power and this accountability is the foundation of accountability to the people.

…citizens know the ultimate judge isn’t the government but almighty God, and this contributes hugely to human freedom.

“It’s an exciting summary of how Christianity has provided a sound basis for secular law..”

“I know, Simone, I’ve got a copy thanks to a fellow blogger – an excellent document! And I wrote about examples of creeping tyranny back in 2009!” [See 1 & 14 below]

“Also Richard, contrary to what you said about Archbishop Welby and bishops being overwhelmed in the House of Lords, the barrister who founded Christian Legal Centre issued them a written challenge over his version of events and concluded:

I am surprised that the Church of England appears to be vacating the public square when it comes to the issue of marriage. Given the rich teaching of Scripture and strong tradition of marriage, this is something that the CofE should be able to comment on clearly, intelligently and winsomely. Marriage is something to be celebrated, promoted and, at this time, preserved. At a time when the nation needs to hear a prophetic voice on marriage, the CofE’s message is sadly mixed and, as a result, unclear.

“The account of her corresponding with him and CoE’s response laments their inability to copy the politicians’ action in ensuring full attendance for voting.” [2]

Raising my finger, “I like her bit on ‘prophetic voice’ as I was struck by the sharp contrast between the Telegraph’s report on Welby’s ‘cop-out’ and what Sharon Stone taught and did [3] – the first started my morning and the second closed it in a much Godlier way!

“Also, in one of many debates on that other blog I pointed out that wise leaders would wait and watch what happens to other countries before foisting it on the British public. It’s opening Pandora’s Box – next will come legal recognition of bigamy, bestiality and paedophilia, as in the customs that defiled ancient Canaan which God spoke against when Hebrews took it over as the land ‘vomited out its inhabitants’.”

“I’ve read John McTernan’s excellent teaching on those socially sanctioned practices,” . adds Simone. “I said to Stan to read too” nodding at her husband. [4]

Nina expresses her deep concern over Her Majesty giving assent to the Bill in view of her Coronation oath “to maintain the laws of God and profession of the Gospel”.

My long spoon lances a hole in the cappuccino’s thick froth as I respond, “Being a constitutional monarch, there was absolutely nothing she could have done about its passing into Law as the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act.

“But from my perspective as lookout on the walls – as it were – our national leader became much more motivated to introduce the Act – come hell or high water – by President Obama during his state visit. So it’s possibly a result of that influence…”

“I’ve read,” reports Simone, “Obama is a long-standing ‘gay pride evangelist’, as can be seen in his recent call to African nations to be ‘converted’. Their righteous leaders have repudiated his overtures…on fact they’re sparked a real backlash!” [5]

“That’s so,” I add. “I’ve followed it all closely through Bill Koenig, a Christian White House journalist. Cameron’s now copying Obama as an ‘evangelist’, which His Grace Cranmer scathingly lampoons [6]. He notes Cameron’s clearly stated intention [7]:

Only other thing I wanted to say is that I know that the job isn’t yet fully done. It is something to celebrate that Britain is now – and it’s official – the best place to be gay, lesbian or transgender anywhere in Europe. That is a great achievement. That’s not my measure; that is an inter-nationally recognised measure. But there’s still a lot more work to be done.

“God is not and will not be mocked and these national leaders are treating Him with the utmost of contempt. Unless they humble themselves, repent deeply and renounce their ways there is very little hope for their future – but God may have mercy.”

“But at least they’ve not committed the unpardonable sin,” interjects Nina, to which Steve asks, “What’s that?”

She replies, “That’s saying a work of the Holy Spirit is of Satan. In my opinion, many believers have unwittingly done that when attributing God’s presence and His work to the demonic! Some think so about a Canadian whom we know. Whilst at a church in Bath, he sensed God wanted to heal and that evening I was able to walk and dance again – I went from permanent disability to normal ability in an instant! As we all love Jesus, then that could not have been of the devil.” [8]

“Now,” I ask, “Do you want the good or the not-so-good news first? Let’s keep the best for last – after some opinions encountered in fellow believers.”

Not-so-good points

“I’ll try to be brief on what’s very unsettling to my spirit. As I don’t want to have a closed mind on this issue I’d monitored Gillan Scott’s several well-balanced posts on the topic, to which some readers gave a window upon the state of their souls.

“Whatever gay folk say and do they’re no different to any believer for we’ve fallen short of the glory of God and are deeply loved by Him, otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have died for them too. So we love them too as individuals but, as with all sin, we don’t like their sin but hate it for what it is and does in preventing their accessing the fullness of life in Christ.

“Some who claimed to be Christians, however, were not only very supportive of this anti-Biblical Bill but also muddled and confused about what scripture says – even twisting its meaning – as well as being ignorant of sin! One pastor to the gay community even tried to explain why I’m mistaken!

“One regular pundit couldn’t understand what’s wrong with redefining marriage! We got the measure of one another when I commented: if that were correct there was no need for me to have repented of having been in the occult.”

“Just an aside and reminder,” whispered Simone, “I’d like to check the dangers of yoga as its spirit may be messing around with me.”

I continued, “My remark met a haughty, incredulous retort, ‘Upon what basis do you equate same-sex relationships with occultism, Richard? Your logic is seriously skewed, to put it mildly…!’ It was both sad and amusing because the answer was simple…so very simple.

“I parried it by alluding to the oft-quoted legal totem of ‘equality’, as well as its proper mathematical meaning, and took precise aim: ‘Your own logic has missed the point, to put it bluntly…The basis of my equation is straightforward, namely ‘equality of sin’ (ie. ‘missing the mark’).’ We ended up agreeing to disagree.

“But there were lamentable tales of some dear folk engaged in unions they think the Lord has ok’d and then wonder why things went wrong. For example, the miscarriage of a child being carried by one of a female partnership – a terribly sad state brought about by sin to their detriment. It reminded me of sin crouching ‘by the door’ to take Cain and make him murder his brother Abel. (Genesis 4:6-7)

“The accounts and opinions come with a sense of despoiling. I recalled Nathan Morris’ strong preaching on Jesus’ admonition to the early churches infected by sexual sin of their needing to be cleansed from wearing defiled robes. No wonder many wise and anointed preachers sound the alarm bells.” [9] & [10]

THE GOOD POINTS

“From a Christian standpoint, the good things of this Act are not so much the adverse ones but more the scriptural ones. We can, for instance, be most positive about these facts.:

This Bill and Act were never in the Conservative Party’s election manifesto. Thus, in my opinion, the electorate as a whole can’t be held responsible for the revolt against God and traditional values and the consequences.
In requiring and enforcing the Queen’s compromising of her Coronation oath her Prime Minister actually took upon himself the full personal responsibility before God for having broken and contravened it – I wouldn’t like to be in his shoes for deliberately being ignorant in such a gravely foolish action.
David Cameron and everyone voting for the Bill is personal accountability to their Maker for going against His revealed and express will for all mankind – no matter whether they believe in God or not. I pray they’ll have personal revelation on this and take the opportunity to repent before they take up their post-mortem existence – as happened to me when I stood on the trapdoor down to hell [11 In Your wrath remember mercy, Lord.
The sweeping international attempts to redefine the meaning of marriage are so intensely orchestrated that even conspiracy theorists would be left dumbfounded. Therefore, it is and can only be a dark spiritual phenomenon – not one of God but from the one who’s always wanted to usurp His place. But its time on earth is now very short so it wants to take as many humans it can and prevent their salvation.
This so-called cultural change was announced well in advance, in fact 2,000 years ago by no less a person than Jesus Christ himself!”

“How do you make that out?” thrusts Steve with one of his bespectacled glares that reminds me of a hen pecking seed. I hear ‘tap-tap-tap’ and turn to see a solitary man at the next table tapping on his tablet. His face and sound mirrors my friend’s and I gently smile. But then I grin in self-deprecation over my natural tonsure as I reply:

“Off the top of my head…a couple of Jesus’ sayings spring to mind.:

“First of all, His teaching about persistent prayer (Luke 18:8) refers to a time like today; one lacking in not only personal but also corporate faith – as widely shown in ditching Christian values for purely hedonistic aims. This is what Jesus foresaw:

Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

“Secondly, He instructed His disciples about the coming of the Kingdom of God and to expect exceptional consequences for socially sanctioned wickedness (Matt 24):

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. ³⁷But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. ³⁸For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, ³⁹and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

“Dr Luke’s carefully collected account of Jesus’ life from witnesses adds (Luke 17):

Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; ²⁹but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. ³⁰Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

“Also, His apostle Paul confirmed that Jesus told him the same about a future ‘Last Days’ great apostasy or falling away from faith in God. One of his letters to the early Greek church in Salonika (2 Thessalonians 2) refers to it this way:

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, ²not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. ³Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, ⁴who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. [Emphasis RB]

“Paul carries on with extra details to the gospels, which you can check yourself.

“Moreover, rabbinical teaching is said to confirm the connection between Noah’s time and today’s. Five years ago two separate people on a radio show spoke about the ancient Babylonian Talmud’s interpretation of Genesis and the cause of the Flood. ‘America’s Rabbi’, Aryeh Spero, said the Talmud’s writings show, “before the Flood people started to write marriage contracts between men…which is more than homo-sexual activity…in other words, giving an official state stamp of approval, a sanctifica-tion of homosexual partnership.”

“Rabbi Spero went on to say, “Even in ancient Greece they did not write marriage contracts between men. There was homosexuality, and it was wrong, but there was not an official ‘blessed’ policy. … Marriage is ‘sanctification’ (not simply a partnership).” He said to confer the title of sanctification and holiness upon this behaviour is “probably one of the greatest sins of all that one does against God’s plan for this world.”

“Another source quotes from the Midrash Rabbah Genesis, a specific commentary upon the Torah, and from the Second Book of Enoch, both of which support the claim about the real events of the ‘days of Noah’, from which we may infer they’re the festivities of which Jesus knew and was referring to. I’ve not yet completely cross-checked those sources, but I can let you have them for checking. [12&13]

“Also the widespread persecution of Christians in Africa and Middle East connects into the Daniel 7 end-times prophecy!” [14] On top of that, the status of Jerusalem is being discussed in Washington. With three major aspects of prophecy now at the fore we’re definitely entering the End-Times, as stated at the outset of my writing four years ago – The End-Time Is Now In Play – maybe you’d like to check it out?” [15]

Nina adds, “What’s going on proves the Bible is absolutely true and correct!”

“We’re definitely entering into times foreseen by the Lord Jesus and His first apostles as well as Old Testament prophets. What’s happening across the world has been written about and we know the outcome – the return of King Jesus for His Bride. It can’t be much longer now…As Jesus said when teaching about signs of the end of the Age.:”

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28)

On the evidence of 2 or 3 witnesses a matter shall be confirmed…

Thus states Deuteronomy 19:15 (NASB) about testifying at an inquiry, or any other situation. This principle was also used at the first church council in Jerusalem, whereof Dr Luke recorded the decision to allow Gentile (non-Jewish) believers in Jesus Christ to be in fellowship with Jewish believers:

²⁸It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: ²⁹You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. [Acts 15]

Are there times when the Lord draws your attention to certain scriptures and principles by their repetition, even through another person or something else? For me this can happen one day after another, or even during a church service. My latest should be shared but first, if you’ve not read the previous post’s comments, please let me explain.:

PS to previous post

After publishing that last post I had some reservations about its tone and how it had grown beyond a brief ‘roundup’ of the first two press sources, with my remarks of 2011, into a piece with more depth. I’d run off a hardcopy of the draft to check over lunch and the idea dropped into mind it would be better to start with scripture, specifically verses from the closing chapter of Paul’s earliest letter (to the church in Galatia).

Having done that I also included a bit from Bill Koenig before some of Walid Shoebat’s main piece. To clarify it all a conclusion was needed but, devoid of any earlier thought whatsoever, I found myself referring to Obama’s LGBT agenda. And this flowed straight into revisiting Galatians 6 with a pointer for this month as, ‘God is not mocked month’!

I wasn’t sure about it. Could I unwittingly have put a prophetical timing on this issue?

The next morning I read Beth’s contribution to that post and in which she referred to Dutch Sheets’ Reaction to the Election. I’ve quoted him occasionally but was unaware of this, which he concludes with Holy Spirit’s reply about unanswered prayers, as follows:

“Your prayers and worship did prevail…though not in the way you wanted. Because of them, however, I will now deal with this man who has mocked Me and My laws.”

Two more friends of mine had dreams in which Barack Obama was named Belshazzar (see Daniel 5). This was the ruler in Babylon who saw a hand writing on the wall of his palace—as he and his friends were mocking God. The ominous message written by the hand of God was, “You have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.” The writing went on to say Belshazzar’s reign would end.
I don’t know what form the judgment of the Lord will take, but I am quite confident that God has put up with all of the mocking He intends to from Barack Obama, and that Daniel 5 is now his passage. I say this without malice or ill will, but nonetheless, confidently.

Also in my email was advice of Gillan Scott’s latest on the voting for same-sex marriage in the House of Lords. I opened up his webpage to scan its full content and at the close was reader Hazel’s brief comment, which closes,

If you replace the word gay with sodomite, the Bible is quite clear about it. God is not mocked.

WOW – two sisters and myself witnessing independently to a specific theme that the renowned intercessor and prophetical prayer warrior had received of the Lord. Ancient scripture attests that this is one way a matter is confirmed, or as in some translations, ‘established’.

Therefore, I can only conclude He is about to move in a significant way, AND we were prophetically informed only last week of the “coming great clash between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light”, as reported herein. Most interesting times…

Is Obama’s impeachment now on the cards?

Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. ⁸For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Lots of national news and personal thoughts fill my mind in getting back into the swing of blogging. And where did May go? There was lots happening and I want to write on the ‘new season’, especially on the Lion of Judah, as well as the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty’s Coronation on 2nd June 1953.

After dealing with email, however, maybe I ‘sense’ someone’s got something significant and open my ‘Favourites – Blog’ and click at the foot of its long list. This opens to Walid Shoebat’s site (ex-member of PLO and Muslim Brotherhood, now born-again Christian). I found his Barack Obama’s Blue Dress? is a good summary of posts about the ‘Uber-Scandal’ gathering around the US President.

I beg indulgence of my American readers familiar with their administration’s failures, and of readers elsewhere for not recounting the full background. A couple of pre-blog emails (The Gravity of Current Events and Revelation on Israel) of 2011 refer to the possibility of Obama’s impeachment. Other issues, especially many unanswered questions about Benghazi, gave rise to my reservations over the 2012 election, as outlined in If I were an American citizen…

In commenting upon my short post on its results, Tony asked for my ‘take’ on Obama’s re-election. I replied, “Maybe it’s (God’s) intention a 2nd term will either enable Obama to repent or make corrections?” (The latter seems to have happened regarding Israel, but I kept a tight rein on my thoughts that re-election may allow time for Gal 6:7-8 to be applied with its consequential outcome – it’s better to bless and be gracious, for the Lord will work out the detail.)

New York Times’ Jonathan Weisman summarises what’s facing Capitol Hill this week after a week’s recess and Congress’ ability to balance its twin responsibilities of legislating and of investigating. How that works out may make the difference between landmark legislation for Obama, or his being consumed by charges relating to several scandals:

…House leaders and committee chairmen appear to be giving themselves over to an expanding and aggressive oversight effort — on the I.R.S., the Justice Department’s targeting of reporters, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.’s statements to Congress on that targeting and the Sept. 11 attack on the United States Mission in Benghazi, Libya.

The previous week, Bill Koenig had opened his Inside The White House briefing with, Obama’s slow-coming judgment is picking up steam:

The judgment against Barack Obama and our nation — which elected him — has been exceedingly slow in unfolding, but does have deep foundational consequences. Many of us were surprised that there weren’t more major judgment-type events in his first year in office and through his first four-year term. In many ways, events and activities seemed to go smoothly with no apparent bumps in the road, even his re-election efforts went very smoothly, but the damage to infrastructure being done daily was considerable.

Koenig briefly recaps upon Obama’s immediate implementation of an LGBT agenda whilst taking his oath of office on January 19 2009 and his appointment of numerous activists to key positions. He briefly covers financial and diplomatic issues and what the Lord put on his heart about national accountability for having elected this leader. Then he closes with a brief summary, Acceleration of events:

The recent acceleration of pressure on Israel — both overt and covert; Obama’s defiant support of Planned Parenthood; his public support of the Morning-After Pill for young women 15 years old and up; his continued and active public endorsement of LGBT; have been followed by the Benghazi debacle which has ensnared the White House, the National Security Council, the State Department, the Pentagon and the CIA; the public disclosure that the US Justice Department was wire-tapping media figures; and the discriminatory actions of the IRS against certain Christian and conservative groups and the revealing of the extreme bias of those responsible… (emphases added)

I understand there may be a connection between the two emphasised matters. The IRS took inordinately longer than normal to grant tax-exemption approval to many Biblically based opponents to Obama’s policies. Eg. Billy Graham’s evangelical association and its humanitarian aid associate Samaritan’s Purse (see Politico). His son Franklin sent a strong letter direct to the President and concluded,

‘I believe someone in the Administration was targeting and attempting to intimidate us. This is morally wrong and unethical – indeed some would call it ‘un-American’.

That’s extremely irregular in any leading democracy but it suggests deep corruption lies at the heart of US federal government!

Yet more

Today, Walid Shoebat adds yet another indictment to the pile in what could be the straw to break the camel’s back.:

The signature of senior IRS official Lois Lerner sits at the bottom of a letter addressed to the Barack H. Obama Foundation (BHOF) in general, Malik Obama in particular. The letter – dated June 26, 2011 – not only granted the BHOF tax-exempt status in record time but did so retroactively to April 30, 2008.

In back-dating the tax-exempt status of Malik’s organization more than 27 months, Lerner committed a crime – a serious one.

However, she didn’t just commit a bureaucratic snafu. Lois didn’t just cross a line of legality by back-dating Malik’s tax-exempt status to a point in time that violated the law. You see, the issue for Lois involves the matter of whom she granted that status to. (Click to read full article)

Just who is this Malik Obama – none other than Barack Hussein Obama’s brother. AND what does he do? In drawing to a close, Shoebat claims.:

We now know that Malik is in bed with a government – Sudan – that has been identified by the U.S. State Department as a State Sponsor of Terrorism and that President Omar al-Bashir is a genocidal maniac; Malik works with him. (Click for detailed account)

With Nixon, it was the tapes. With Clinton, it was his own DNA. With Obama, will it be a letter that implicates his own flesh and blood?

A recent radio show discussed all these very serious issues and stressed that Sudan is, globally, one of the four worst terrorist states. As Shoebat comments about the show.:

If we had one critique, …it’s just so difficult to wrap your head around just how big this Uber-Scandal is (even if you don’t factor the president into the equation).

Conclusion

My coverage of these disreputable matters may seem a tad gross but it is important for my readers to appreciate what’s happening and it’s relevance to Biblical understanding. I’m aware of details known to White House press circle about Obama’s proclamation in his first term of officially designating every June as ‘LGBT Pride Month’. To say the very least, those details are unsettling.

As the Word of God is alive and active and does not return to Him void of accomplishing His purpose, perhaps He’s designated June 2013 as God Is Not Mocked Month ??

America’s ‘Date of Infamy’ repeated – once again!

Dates around 19th April have been noted as having a high probability of historically significant, ominous events, as in last week’s terrible tragedies in the USA.

The period immediately following the vernal equinox, starting the northern hemisphere’s Spring season, is when a lot of nature comes back to life. It generates a cycle of growth and harvesting, followed by decay and sowing as a transitional period. Cycles of agricultural, economic and social activities are, therefore, closely related to the natural and solar cycles, which are not only annual but also may show ‘harmonics’ of longer time periods.

William Koenig, ‘watcher’ in the White House, has previously reported about the new Spring season.:

…Paradoxically, it is when man often incites war (and the end of many lives). Nowhere has this remained more constant than in the histories of America and Israel. In short, I have termed the date of April 19 (sometimes extending to the days surrounding it) as the ‘date of infamy’ for America…(E. Hadik)

Background

For the benefit of readers unfamiliar with my previous posts on cycles and possibly not sure why such a topic is covered herein, let me explain:

About 12 years ago I was introduced to the work of William Koenig and understood how it connected into theories of ancient and modern Middle-Eastern history I’d noted before becoming a Christian. In this blog’s Welcome I refer to The Invisible Hand, the author of which attempted to foretell what would happen by 1992 through Russia’s activities – but along came the fall of Communism! Thus, its conclusions were faulty but I recognised the validity of a substantial part of that author’s argument. [Something more relevant happened anyway – the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference leading to 1993 Oslo Accords, all under American presidential direction and involvement – synopsis here.]

Years later, after receiving better tuition, I resumed my investigations and kept friends updated of trends by email. During the same period Bill Koenig was checking out the theories of financial trading analyst Erik Hadik. (These are based upon economist W.D. Gann’s understanding of Biblical principles.)

The first month after launch, this blog was devoted to explaining why I’m ‘watching’ as a result my encounter with Jesus Christ. This was followed by reading Bill’s findings and I covered those uncanny predictions in Points to Ponder: 2011-2012. In September, Bill ‘hit the nail on the head’ by asking if the 11th anniversary of 9/11 would be yet ‘another historical day’? – it was! (See here)

April 2013

On 5th April, Koenigs’ Eye View From The White House gave another overview from Hadik and listed nine events in American history that happened on or around 19-20 April.

Beginning with the date the revolutionary war against Britain started (19 April 1775, as here) April 19-20, and a few days on either side, has pinpointed many events in the US of great ‘civil unrest’ and/or domestic terrorism, including:

April 19-21, 1985 — ATF raid on Covenant of the Sword and the Arm of the Lord (CSA) (linked to the Oklahoma City bombing a decade later)
April 19, 1989 — Explosion on the USS Iowa (possibly sabotage/suicide)
April 19, 1993 — Waco/Branch Davidian raid by FBI/ATF
April 19, 1995 — Oklahoma City Bombing (RB: also re. 17 April ’13 explosion)
April 20, 1999 — Columbine High School massacre
April 20, 2010 — Deepwater Horizon (BP) oil leak in Gulf of Mexico (RB added)

We can now add 15th April for the bomb outrage at the 2013 Boston Marathon.

The latest Update and Commentary covers the accumulation of events throughout last week. I recommend, therefore, taking time to study Bill Koenig’s account, and to read of the ‘coincidental’ birth date of two historical persons – what a surprise!

Boston-Saudi Connection?

A lot of focus has been upon the suspected bombers being of Chechen origin but in the middle of the mayhem an injured Saudi ‘person of interest’ was held for questioning. Yet after an unscheduled private meeting between President Obama and Saudi Foreign Minister this student was deported back to S Arabia. WND reported on the Wednesday morning ‘that the ‘Saudi student Alharbi shares the same last name as a major Saudi clan that includes scores of al-Qaida operatives…’.

The previous day, Debka reported their sources indicated links with a Saudi/Al Qaeda terror cell. With more information, Debka later reported the two brothers as the latest in a sequence of double-agents who turned against USA. As usual, Debka reports provide a high measure of rare facts with well-informed speculation.

Iranian Issues

This is added as a footnote. No direct connection is to be inferred with last week’s events. Bill Koenig links his reports to Hadik’s Earth in Transition – A.B.C. (Iran) paper dated November 2011. These cover non-solar related cycles of tectonic activity and forecast increasing disturbances across the mountainous ‘Alpide belt’ stretching from Europe to Indonesia. The Inside Track Report: Earth Disturbance Cycles paper states,

“…an accelerating sequence and an evolving ‘creep’ of earthquakes that point to one conclusion: Iran is due for multiple, massive earthquakes in the next 1-3 years …”

In this regard, his email received last week refers to news of 7.8 and 3.6 magnitude quakes.:

“The nation of Iran has suffered two MAJOR quakes in a single week… and many other smaller quakes surrounding these two. As explained in October & November 2011, Iran has been experiencing an accelerating frequency of earthquakes for over 80 years!

“As also explained 18 months ago, three distinct series of earthquakes were ‘creeping’ across Turkey, Pakistan & Afghanistan – all targeting Iran for ‘massive earthquakes’ in the 2012–2014 time period. As detailed for the last few years, I feel strongly that one of these quakes could trigger a ‘nuclear incident’, similar to what took place in Japan in March 2011. The April 9, 2013 quake hit the same town (Bushehr) as their nuclear reactor!!” [See The Times of Israel 6th June 2013 for details of leaked reports.]

In the West we will not know the full effects of these quakes. But when we recall the goal of Iranian leaders to wipe Israel from the map and we understand that the Living Lord God can act sovereignly to protect His people without human assistance, then just perhaps He’s intervening to change the deadlock in nuclear arms discussions?

Obama to Palestinians: Accept the Jewish State

Policy shift challenges the core of Arab resistance

Under the above headline and lead-in published as Tuesday’s ‘Editor’s Pick’ in the Washington Times, leading Middle-East analyst Daniel Pipes opens with.:

One key shift in U.S. policy was overlooked in the barrage of news about Barack Obama’s eventful fifty-hour visit to Israel last week. That would be the demand that Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish state, called by Hamas leader Salah Bardawil “the most dangerous statement by an American president regarding the Palestinian issue…

in his Jerusalem speech last week, Obama suddenly and unexpectedly adopted in full the Israeli demand: “Palestinians must recognize that Israel will be a Jewish state.””

Pipes is of the opinion.:

That sentence breaks important new ground and cannot readily be undone. It also makes for excellent policy, for without such recognition, Palestinian acceptance of Israel is hollow, indicating only a willingness to call the future state they dominate “Israel” rather than “Palestine.”

The one-page article is very instructive, albeit concise, in its overview of the history of modern Israel and minimal on reference to America. If any reader is unfamiliar with these important facts then I recommend their reading the article (here). It is updated to include reference to hostility to Obama’s speech from a London-based Arab editor.

Obama’s fledgling mentor

Last weekend’s Inside the White House from Bill Koenig reports.:

A naïve, idealistic and inexperienced 35-year-old is molding Obama’s Middle East foreign policy, which is leading the region to Armageddon –

How could that be? President Obama, who had very little real-world experience before he took the office, apparently doesn’t fully understand the great importance of surrounding himself with experienced Middle East staff.

Bill refers to Mark Landler of The New York Times’ article, Worldly at 35 and Shaping Obama’s Voice; ‘Benjamin J. Rhodes, a 35-year-old deputy national security adviser with a soft voice, strong opinions and a reputation around the White House as the man who channels Mr. Obama on foreign policy, has had a very significant hand in some of the great failures in the Middle East in the last three years and nine months.’

Landler reveals that Rhodes first came to prominence after he wrote Mr. Obama’s landmark address to the Muslim world in Cairo in June 2009. The speech was notable for President Obama’s assertion that governments should “reflect the will of the people,” prefiguring his policy in dealing with President Hosni Mubarak and Colonel Qaddafi.’

Koenig adds, ‘The speech Obama gave to the Muslim world from Cairo, Egypt in 2009, was filled with inaccuracies, falsehoods and total distortions, and was obviously written by someone unfamiliar with the region, the long history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict or the depth of conflict between the Shiites and the Sunnis.

‘Just think’, writes Koenig, ‘Obama spoke to the Muslim world with a speech written by a young ideologue with very little real world experience, a speech that he gained much credit for, which further led to his responsibility for preparing and writing Obama’s major address to the Israelis this week.

‘Rhodes wasn’t even born at the time of the Six-Day War of 1967 or the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Furthermore, he’s had a major influence on some very serious decisions that have had horrible results…’

Prophetic Perspective

Many items in my electronic in-tray vied for my attention on booting up this morning after our 3-day weekend offline. Some get ditched quickly, others relating to this blog deserve study, the rest make good background info.

If they’d be of interest to you too, here’s a few.:

1. America’s withdrawal from the Middle-East under ‘The Obama Doctrine’ – Lee Smith, the critically acclaimed author of The Strong Horse: Power, Politics and the Clash of Arab Civilizations briefed the Middle-East Forum on the dangers of ‘extrication’ from this region. He argues that the major problem with this policy is of the vacuum being filled by others who are not always friendly powers. Libya is cited as an example. Click here to read brief, one-page synopsis.

2. Obama’s new Secretary of State seems to think he can encourage Egyptian reform by rescuing Egypt from its impending financial calamity. (Shhh… let’s pretend that’s not happening back home, like the swathe of ‘sequester’ defense cuts!) And whyever not, his boss gave the Muslim Brotherhood the all-clear when he popped into Cairo so soon after his inauguration. Yet President Morsi is far too preoccupied with spreading ~~MB control~~ the rot nationwide. (Debka’s exclusive report refers)

3. By the way, an unusually large locust swarm (of Biblical proportions) has hit Egypt.

4. According to John McTernan, terrorist group Hamas has warned President Obama against any plans to visit the Temple Mount during his trip to Israel later this month.

5. Joel Rosenberg reckons Iran already has nuclear weapons, according to one expert’s analysis. This wouldn’t be surprising as Iran has cleverly duped the West all along.

Finally, do you recall Watergate?

One of the ace journalists who investigated Richard Nixon was Bob Woodward. This weekend’s report from Bill Koenig not only quotes him, but also reports other reputable journalists as having encountered severe problems with the administration.:

Bob Woodward notes that POTUS is showing “a kind of madness I’ve not seen in a long time“. Editor-in-chief of National Journal, Ron Fournier, had to rebuke a senior White House official. This indicates deep, deceptive issues and manipulation of the media at the heart of American politics, as here.:

“The way the president’s availability to the press has shrunk in the last two years is a disgrace,” said ABC News White House reporter Ann Compton, who has covered every president back to Gerald R. Ford. “The president’s day-to-day policy development — on immigration, on guns — is almost totally opaque to the reporters trying to do a responsible job of covering it. There are no readouts from big meetings he has with people from the outside, and many of them aren’t even on his schedule. This is different from every president I covered. This White House goes to extreme lengths to keep the press away.” [Source: Politico, Obama The Puppet Master – emphasis added.]

As an accredited Christian reporter at The White House, Bill Koenig’s conclusion is worthy of due regard.:

This is a problem that is coming to the surface, and hopefully the media that have fawned over Obama and helped him get elected twice will see that they have been duped. The fact is that those who are bold don’t get emails answered or are not called on for questions in White House press briefings or press conferences with the President. However, some of the liberal media has come to the White House defense very likely for favor that will come from that.

I don’t think this last item may be news to my States-side readers?

A question about the Obama prayer/ prophecy and Netanyahu

An intercessor friend emailed me about President Obama’s proposed appointments for chief of CIA and Defense Secretary, neither of whom are well-disposed to Israel. (Eg. Director of Centre for Security Policy Frank Gaffney’s article in Jewish World Review.)

So, I replied with links to the postings about Wendy Alec’s prayer request for Obama and the promise that the rift between him and Israel’s PM Netanyahu would be healed. (Original post here, with subsequent developments here, here and here.)

That information caused some consternation, especially in view of notions about Obama’s desire to divide Jerusalem. The antagonism in his first term towards Israel’s PM and favour for the Palestinian leader Abbas were renowned. (Abbas was one of the first Obama phoned after his first inauguration in 2009.) Would the US President continue in his old ways during the forthcoming state visit to Israel?

Similar reservations may have entered readers’ minds too and you may, therefore, like to note my second reply.:

“Yes, I too was puzzled when I first read it as I’ve deep reservations about POTUS, as you may have read under the Obama tag on my blog. But Wendy’s was also an urgent request for intercession on his behalf and we have seen changes which astonished the intelligence experts. What is truly in his heart the Lord only knows!

“Incidentally, she was also accurate about Todd Bentley’s mess at Lakeland, whom she and Rory had televised and sponsored. Our minister saw him recently on God TV repenting of his sinful reaction in saying she’s a false prophet and confessed she was correct!”

There’s precious little in the public domain about Obama’s visit, as may be expected of a predominantly anti-Israel mainstream media. I cannot find any details yet on the White House website other than the President’s The State Of The Union Address during which he said.:

In defense of freedom, we’ll remain the anchor of strong alliances from the Americas to Africa; from Europe to Asia. In the Middle East, we will stand with citizens as they demand their universal rights, and support stable transitions to democracy. We know the process will be messy, and we cannot presume to dictate the course of change in countries like Egypt, but we can — and will — insist on respect for the fundamental rights of all people. We’ll keep the pressure on a Syrian regime that has murdered its own people, and support opposition leaders that respect the rights of every Syrian. And we will stand steadfast with Israel in pursuit of security and a lasting peace.

Those are the messages I’ll deliver when I travel to the Middle East next month…(emphasis RB)

Nevertheless, President Obama’s itinerary for his visit to Israel has been published. In the introductory ‘Inside The White House’ by Bill Koenig to last Fridays’ Eye View From The White House, Bill bullet points more details than those of his Ynet source. He remarks, “Interestingly, most of Obama’s time in Israel will be with the Israelis, with only one meeting scheduled with the Palestinians” (in Ramallah to meet Abbas, and then returning to Jerusalem by noon).

Regular readers know I cannot recommend William Koenig’s World Watch Daily highly enough for any Christian wanting to keep an eye on Israeli and Middle Eastern news.

A few regard Wendy as a false prophet, but here we have two proven prophetic words.

Bibi’s personal friend Dr Mike Evans, gave him a word as a young man from the Lord that he would have two unbroken terms of office as Prime Minister and recommended him to then PM Begin. This was well before he went into politics!

By the way, in view of the circumstances and thanks to William Koenig, the meaning of Benjamin Netanyahu’s name in Hebrew is interesting:

Benjamin: ‘Son of the right hand’.

Netanyahu (derivative of Nethaniah): ‘Given by God’, or ‘gift of God’.

Weekend catch-up: Israel and UK, and Iran

DSC_8314 credit-The Commentator Readers and visitors will have noted I often quote the Daily Telegraph. I like a number of its columnists but please don’t assume this reflects my politico-religious view. For example , I’ve noticed lately some reports on Israel don’t reflect what I’m learning from those who have their ear close to the ground, or those who are well informed. The paper’s chief political editor, Peter Oborne, usually writes well but has his critics, one of whom took him to task for his recent criticism of David Cameron’s ‘cowardice’ over Israel.

I came across that criticism on one of my dips into The Commentator and spotted an article entitled Conservative cowardice on Israel? Historian Carly Beckerman-Boys raises this question because,

Peter Oborne’s recent comments on the Conservative Party and Israel are overshadowed by his fundamental misunderstanding of British politics and the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

In view of my interest this looked a promising read but I dug first into the original article, The cowardice at the heart of our relationship with Israel. I was thus in a better place to follow the historian’s argument. So, if this topic stirs you why not take a few minutes to read Peter Oborne and then click here for an interesting counter-thrust.

Had I come across Peter’s article in my occasional copy of the paper I would have had some reservations, so I’m pleased to have discovered Carly’s well-balanced answer to his perception of the issue. Iran – the game is over

Forget POTUS Obama’s intentions to discuss nuclear energy and weapons with Iranian leaders – talks are dead in the water! That game is now over according to DEBKAfile because Iran now has enough plutonium for 24 Nagasaki-type bombs! This Special Report opens.:

The secret, one-on-one nuclear negotiations President Barack Obama launched with Iran have run into a blank wall. A senior Iranian team member, Mostafa Dolatyar, said Friday, Dec. 14 in New Delhi that the diplomatic process for solving the nuclear issue with Iran was in effect going nowhere, because the demand that Tehran halt its 20-percent enrichment of uranium “doesn’t make sense.”

Debka reports that Dolatyar’s remarks would have been authorised by ‘Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who, through him, posted a message to Washington: If the enrichment suspension demand stands, the game’s over’. The report continues.:

‘After more than 15 years of on-and-off, largely aimless, nuclear diplomacy with world powers and evasive tactics with the UN nuclear agency, Tehran is for the first time showing signs of impatience and not just its usual disdain. This is because two things have changed:

‘1. For all those years, Tehran availed itself of every diplomatic opening for protracted bargaining about its nuclear program for the sake of buying time, free of pressure, to push that program forward. Now, the Iranians are telling the US and Europe that they have arrived at their destination. For them, time is no longer of essence, as it may be for the West.

‘2. The second development was revealed on Dec. 5 by The Wall Street Journal in a short leader captioned “From Bushehr to the Bomb”. This revelation was not picked up by any other Western – or even Israeli – publication despite its sensational nature…’ (Click to read before report is filed to premium content archive. So, as mentioned throughout this year the Middle-East pot continues on the boil. But at least it’s not boiling over – yet!

Furthermore, the Iranians stated that installing an American Patriot missile defence on the Turkish-Syrian border is “meant to cause a world war”. With a massive US, British, French and Russian naval presence in the Persian Gulf, Red Sea and Mediterranean, Obama has tried to defuse the situation and ‘quietly recalled’ two naval strike groups home from Syrian waters. (Debka Exclusive Report.) And this is without considering the several stockpiles of chemical weapons of mass destruction, or lunacy that continues to break out in the Middle-East.

PROPHETICALLY, NONE OF THESE TROUBLES ARE A SURPRISE. I’m intrigued to muse whether Barack Obama has yet started to take his accredited White Ho journalist Bill Koenig’s wisdom seriously. (First-time visitors click for information about Bill and here for previous posts referring to his work.)

ALSO, we know of an anointed man of God blessed with an evangelistic and healing miracles ministry who heard God say He’s setting the stage for fulfillment of Biblical prophecy > AND we have confirmation from economic cyclical theory > ALL in addition to the fullness of what the Lord Himself said whilst here, and through His holy prophets.

What awesome and exciting days we live in…..

The Biblical significance of hurricane Sandy

Some dubbed it ‘Frankenstorm’, striking the US north-eastern seaboard over Halloween – ‘trick or treat’, this tempest was well beyond a joke!

Some recalled Jesus’ prophetic description of the days preceding His promised return,

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man…people knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away…” (see Matt 24, espec vv 37-42; Luke 17)

Personally, I perceive a connection with and a lesson from George Washington’s battles against we Brits! Also, it was astonishing to see the whole storm superimposed by the BBC to show it would cover ALL western Europe, from northern Norway to the Straits of Gibraltar at Spain’s southern tip! (This report doesn’t show the same full image.)

So there’s many opinions about the category 1 hurricane Sandy. The following comments are not to be construed as demeaning in any way the suffering and tragedy it caused. My intention is to awaken your consideration of the possibility of a profound significance to this superstorm. We’ll cover a known reliable source’s case for Sandy’s Biblical significance, one based on solid, factual data. But beforehand, kindly bear with my short personal perspective.:

Throughout Saturday night southern England was lashed by torrential rains, even snow fell in the southwest. Rain had stopped by the time we arrived at church and a leader greeted me in the car park with, “At least it’s not as bad as America”. I mentioned the coincidence of Sandy happening on the 21st anniversary of the ‘perfect storm’, which had the distinction of an ‘unusual retrograde motion’ in going east to west to strike the northeastern USA.

We parted and, as I approached the entrance, another chap met me and straight away said that Sandy is connected with Israel. “I know”, replied I.

How extraordinary. Such conversations wouldn’t have arisen in other churches we’d attended or regularly visited! And here the previous week, an older lady and a young man independently spoke to me about John McTernan’s writings. I’ve never before met anyone familiar with his work! Could this indicate a growing awareness in Christians to the Biblical implications of political activities?

Readers may recall my occasional references to John’s blog (see tag) and perhaps followed the links. Last week I saw this image on his posting for 28th Oct. Similar ones appeared daily on World Watch and, clicking on one, I got the meteorologist at US’ Weather Channel talking over the chart. I noted his remark that this low category hurricane is peculiar in its “unique angle” – it will turn and head towards the coast! Unlike a normal hurricane that heads out into mid-Atlantic, Sandy turned westward to strike the nation’s capital and major cities!

That fact plus the fact it happened on the 21st anniversary of the ‘perfect storm’ should make any thinking person start to think about a possible connection – could this have been on purpose, or by ‘design’? Dullards will attribute it solely to weather or climate. John is of the opinion only reprobate minds refuse to consider and accept the fact that unremitting iniquity and unrighteousness warrants any rebuke from the Creator.

[Note: I started drafting this on Monday 4th during a busy week and the next day, ‘Guy Fawkes Day’, I espied John’s daily digest has a similar title and is on the same lines as this post. His thesis is along the lines of ‘As in the days of Lot’, and itemises various headlines that support his argument. His excellent teaching on The Ordinances of the Amorites is highly recommended – see link below.]

A Case for Sandy’s Biblical Significance

You may recall earlier articles of mine on the cyclical nature of events, starting with White House correspondent William Koenig’s in-depth investigation into the work of financial markets technical analyst Eric Hadik (see Points to Ponder).

In view of this knowledge, William accurately forecast terrorist troubles for this 11th Sept simply on the grounds of its being the 11th anniversary of the Twin Towers attack (see 11 year cycle proves itself again). Now, mathematically number 21 is 3 x 7, both of which, and multiples thereof, occur frequently and are of significance in the Bible. For example, 7 days of creation, Jesus’ return to life on 3rd day of death, the Trinity…etc.

Hence, William’s ideas about superstorm Sandy occurring on the 21st anniversary of the Perfect Storm warrant serious consideration. Also, to his above-stated track record we should add the sound credentials of carefully logged observations over many years.

William has thereby documented and published the close correlations between the most catastrophic weather and America’s treatment of Israel. Learn more about his claims from a recent interview with Drew Zahn by reading Could ‘Frankenstorm’ Be A Sign From God?

Thus, his main premis is:

“When we put pressure on Israel to divide their land, we have enormous, record-setting events, often within 24 hours,” Koenig told WND. “Hurricane Katrina, 9/11 – we have experienced over 90 record-setting, all-time events as we have acted against Israel. And the greater the pressure on Israel to ‘cooperate,’ the greater the catastrophe….

“From a biblical perspective, the land isn’t to be divided, parceled out or negotiated away … period,” Koenig said. “That’s the land God gave to Israel. People say they want peace,” he continued, “but it all comes down to this: No earthly leader has the right to partition Israel, because that was God’s gift to Abraham and his descendants. <emphasis RB>

How say you, my reader? Isn’t it time for American and world leaders to consider this information and take William’s, and John’s, claims seriously? After all, many have been given their OWN copy of William’s book Eye to Eye!

Historically significant week for the Middle East

This brief update is offered in case you may be unaware of developments in the Middle-East. Those who relish detail will enjoy getting their teeth into Bill Koenig’s chronology of events from a perspective of US-Israel relations, Eye-to-Eye: Week of 9-11-12. It has a brief overview. (Also see recent post about his Alert anticipating trouble according to cyclic theory.) Here’s my update:

An unprecedented ‘armada’ of American, British and French naval power is focusing once again upon protecting the Strait of Hormuz (see Telegraph) – this separates the Persian Gulf from the Gulf of Oman, as in map below.

Barnabas Fund reports growing concern for Christians in countries rocked by violent protests against an offensive movie trailer on Mohammed. According to a number of experts, however, it’s a pretext for Islamist action on several fronts – eg. Raymond Ibrahim and Caroline Glick, here and here respectively. [NB: see update below on investigation into possible terrorist involvement in production of this video in order to commit an outrage.]

Solid grounds for this conclusion as regards the attack in Libya are given in a press release by the London counter-extremism think-tank Quillam Foundation. (Quillam’s founder, ex-hardline Islamist Maajid Nawaz, gives a most informative interview in The Counter Islamist. Their website explains how they are working to change attitudes.)

Also, Mudar Zahran, a Palestinian writer and Jordanian academic resident as political refugee in the UK, reports upon the ‘textbook Islamist’ who ignited the rage by running an Egyptian tv show about the movie. (Thank you Tembisa at World Chaos.) Also, The Telegraph reports that this presenter’s,

inflammatory chat show on satellite television has long prided itself on baiting liberals, Christians and Jews, but last week saw Sheikh Khalid Abdullah stage the broadcasting controversy of a lifetime.

In view of all the hysteria, however, there’s been a news blackout in mainstream media about two places – Sinai and Israel.

Debka reported on Friday and Sunday fierce Al-Qaeda led military attacks in Sinai, one of which was against the 1000+ Multinational Force’s camp established to monitor the 1979 Egypt-Israel peace treaty. There, a Colombian battalion protected Americans. Then on Monday I received an email from Mike Evans stating,

“I have received an email from a friend and supporter of the Jerusalem Prayer Team who lives in Jerusalem with an urgent message about massive troop movements underway in Israel. The scale of the mobiliz-ation is like nothing this family has seen in more than twenty years in the Jewish state.”

There have been a number of such reports, which may be disinformation, or as some well-meaning folk think – a hoax! It may be that Israel was taking precautions against being caught napping during the Rosh-Hashanah holy days. However, news of a ‘snap military exercise’ in the Golan Heights did at last surface yesterday morning in a Debka ‘exclusive’ and later in The Telegraph.

Today, we learn about enemy troops moving into the territory across Israel’s northern border, ie. Iran is pouring troops into Syria to bolster Assad and thereby threaten Israel (as here). Link both ‘blackout’ news items with the supposed ‘hoax’ and we can tell that good intel’ had alerted and activated the Israeli military – there’s no smoke without fire!

Events are proceeding at breakneck speed!

Update 27/9: Former member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Walid Shoebat, claims on his blog that the offensive video trailer was, in all likelihood, produced as a terrorist scam. This renowned peace activist arrives at that conclusion after examining contradictions and falsehoods within the media accounts, plus his own previous investigations into the characters and his connections in and direct knowledge of the Middle-East. There are far too many facts that can’t be married up!

11-year cycle proves itself again!

Readers may have noted my Paws 4 thought on cycles (29 Aug) outlined the 11 year cycle of major conflicts in the Middle East. [For a brief introductory outline see my post Points to ponder: 2011-2012 and then Koenig’s intriguing ‘Timeline 2011 to 2019‘ – regret no longer available since updating of his website.]

A week ago I received the following News Alert from Bill in which he anticipated another ‘historical day’ in connection with Israel, militant Islam and the USA. But before reading it consider these momentous events.:

The world now knows another September 11th (Tuesday) became notorious for conflict: the American embassy in Egypt and consulate in Libya came under siege from raging Islamist mobs and, as they fled to safety, US Ambassador Stevens and three consular staff were murdered in cold blood in Benghazi (Debka exclusive report).

Also on Tuesday, President Obama decided not to meet PM Netanyahu on his forth-coming visit to the States, thereby increasing strained diplomatic relations and causing a flurry of news reports (here’s just one, a Debka special).

Instead of a new-world free from the threat of terror, the United States experienced a massive Islamic terrorist attack on 9-11-2001, followed by two extremely costly wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and President G.W. Bush’s nation building and active promotion of democracy in the Middle East. It also enabled Barack Obama to defeat John McCain in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election.

President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been actively involved in the Arab Spring debacle, which is becoming a hard-line Islamic takeover in country after country in the Middle East. This has led to an unprecedented persecution of Christians and the purging from countries throughout the Middle East, while Israel is facing its most dangerous threats in history. Moreover, under Obama’s watch, Iran has aggressively accelerated its nuclear development program.

Unbeknown to these U.S. Presidents, their active roles in the Middle East have led to the rapid acceleration of final-day events and the final battle for Jerusalem (Zechariah 12-14).

Paws-4-thought: weather, quakes and cycles – part 2

Continued from Part 1: “And then what? You were saying Richard, …”

Normally I’m offline Friday to Sunday, and longer over a Bank Holiday. But in between showers and odd tasks I planned to snatch 15 mins ever so quickly to re-blog an ace post. But I found WordPress playing up terribly and dipped into emails, spotted the ones from William K and John McT, and so I tried using them for a couple of direct email postings. I saw another from Tony P on his latest post Winds of Change, which fits the News Alert on the tropical storm/hurricane in Florida.

Bank Holiday Monday evening we planned to catch up with the second night of The Bay Revival team’s visit to Southern California but found the website unavailable, as was that of their church in Mobile. Perhaps this was down in preparation for the arrival of Isaac. Also, I was puzzled over the claims about its location and path – Tampa, Florida or central northern Gulf…which? We saw Weather Channel’s hurricane specialist show how he’d found tropical storm Isaac’s approach from mid-Caribbean had been split by a wedge of dry air and this made the main part head west nor-west towards New Orleans. The eastern leading edge was already over Florida. It seemed as though the massive storm was not going directly towards the Florida panhandle and neck of Alabama but veering off to once again join the ‘Southern Decadence’ – on yet another 29 August!

Question: was this accident, fluke or directed by a mind far superior to ours? Or could it be to allow some respite to the Pensacola-Mobile area because that’s been blessed by two Holy Spirit visitations? (Perhaps my dream recounted here has relevance?)

With regard to my previous reference to extremes of weather, the agricultural economy of both nations is already being affected, as in today’s Telegraph article The farmer’s hell after the heavens opened where Christopher Middleton notes:

Yes, while drought-stricken American farmers have been praying for rain, with 35 states declaring themselves disaster areas, we Brits have found the heavens to be open all hours of the day, in what is set to be one of the wettest summers on record. The combination is expected to send food prices soaring for the average shopper in the coming months.

The political price for this upon our government is not missed by His Grace Cranmer’s post, Cameron’s downfall will be the price of bread.

Too Coincidental?

The detailed information and conclusions William Koenig gives in his Eye-to-Eye alert arise from years of monitoring events that occur simultaneously with, or following closely, important matters to do with Israel. Thus, likely connections with Biblical teaching and prophecy can be demonstrated from the linkage and deduced by open-minded investigators.

In Koenig’s current examples the repeated four instances of related occasions should be of interest to those of a mathematical and scientific bent. Their repetitive nature almost makes the events worthy of scientific investigation, does it not?

And there’s more! Lots…

For example, his detailed analysis of record heat and drought in both 2011 and 2012, during June to August in both years, suggests a connection with President Obama’s LGBT and gay marriage agenda (Eye-View 3rd August). Earlier in July 2010, he’d observed that most of the states supporting this in the US northeast had experienced record-breaking temperatures during Jan-July. A thinking person would don his/her thinking cap!

Cycles

Earlier this year my Points to ponder 2011-12 introduced Koenig’s investigation of the work of internationally renowned financial analyst Erick Hadik. Hadik has recognised the affects of natural cycles not only upon our environment but also upon our spheres of political and economical activity. One in particular corresponds closely with the 11-year sunspot cycle’s peak this year 2012, that of Middle-Eastern conflict! For example, look at these dates:

end of WWII – 1945, adding 11 years:

Suez War – 1956, another 11 years:

Six Days War – 1967, plus 11 years:

Camp David Accords – 1978-1979 (also Iran’s Islamic Revolution):

Persian Gulf War / Desert Storm (Part I) – 1990-91, another 11 years:

Sept 11th 2001 terror events and subsequent Afghan and Iraq wars (Part II).

2012 – may introduce Persian Gulf Wars Part III? – Sunni/Shiite conflict? Israel v. Iran? Update > See blog 11-year cycle proves itself again! Hadik claims the above dates are, in fact, preceded by those for the Palestine mandate (1922) and Hitler’s ascension (1933). Furthermore, there is a 50/100 year cycle of major wars. He cites the Napoleonic war of 1812, US Civil War (1861-65), the Balkan Wars of 1912 as the real start of WWI, 1961-2 Cuban missile crisis and SE Asian wars. 2012 next! Dear Richard,There were two major record-setting, billion-dollar hurricanes at the time of the 2004 (Frances) and 2008 (Gustav) Republican Conventions. They literally became the main news stories up to and during the Republican Convention.

Tropical Storm Isaac, soon to be Hurricane Isaac, has disrupted the 2012 Republican Convention.

On Tuesday, August 21, the Republican platform committee voted to add the “two-state” position pertaining to Israel’s land for formal approval at the convention; this was the same day Isaac formed as a tropical depression.

Update 3 of 3 – the Middle-East

Since the brief reference in the latter half of my earlier post on the BBC a great deal has been rolling on regarding Israel and Iran. So I will summarise below all I know, which means this will be a full posting. But first, this morning’s ‘hot off the press’ news:

Two Hamas spies arrested among PA chairman’s personal guards – Debka exclusive reports American, Israeli and Palestinian security services were deeply shocked with the realisation that they had been passing Mahmoud Abbas’s closest secrets to their Hamas controllers for many years. The fact that they had been planted under cover within the Palestinian leader’s 170-strong personal guard has compromised the security standing of his entire national security force of 6 battalions (4000 members).

That security force, Debka comments, “…may be riddled with Hamas undercover agents and an unknown number of sleeper cells awaiting orders to spring into action (also that) high-ranking officials consider all of Abbas’ most confidential political, intelligence and financial moves and private communications with Arab, Israeli and Western personal-ities must be accounted an open book to Hamas.” (The radical Hamas rules the Gaza Strip as a bitter rival of Abbas’ Fatah-led administration in Ramallah). The selection and screening of the whole Palestinian security force was the responsibility of American and British agencies!

In my opinion this will throw yet another spanner into the ‘peace process’ but is not at all surprising in view of two reasons:

my guess as to “a major shaking of the Palestinian leadership” at the start of the Arab Spring. Perhaps Hamas spies were responsible for the ‘talks leaks’?
the long-running political incompetence of Western leadership’s failure to grasp and understand Islamist terrorism.

Now, back to my post about ‘Bibi’s Secret War Plan’, or ‘Shock and Awe’ Israeli-style. William Koenig also reported upon:

Natanyahu’s advisors livid about president Peres’ belief on necessity of US support.
Defense Minister Barak asserts decision against Iran must be made now.
Israeli ambassador Oren’s opinion that strike worthwhile.
Former US Defense Secretary Rumsfeld’s advice for Israeli not to advise White House in view of many leaks therefrom.
Obama has made offer Netanyahu cannot refuse of more defence aid to delay attack

He also cited various voices in opposition to Israel acting against Iran, viz:

US Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dempsey refers to Israeli inability to destroy nuclear capability. (Also see detailed analysis here.)
Haaretz’ senior editor draws attention to likelihood of major tragic mistake.
Former IDF chief of staff against Israel lead, better for USA to thwart Iran.
petition to Israeli fighter pilots to refuse to obey orders.
Fatah Palestinians say Netanyahu using Iran as distraction in peace process.

My Footnote referred to Iranian declarations of Nazi policy. Google reported 18 Aug:

Ahmadinejad’s diatribe against Israel in his Quds (Jerusalem) Day address was the latest in a long line to have drawn criticism from Western governments. “The Zionist regime and the Zionists are a cancerous tumour,” he said.

“The nations of the region will soon finish off the usurper Zionists in the Palestinian land…. A new Middle East will definitely be formed. With the grace of God and help of the nations, in the new Middle East there will be no trace of the Americans and Zionists,” he said. His declarations were followed within a couple of days by supreme leader Khameini’s unequivocal support.

Debka reported on 16 Aug that the White House had urgently contacted PM Netanyahu to arrange a meeting with President Obama at September’s UN General Assembly. 18 Aug – US National Security Council, UN Secretary General and the EU’s foreign affairs High Representative Ashton all strongly condemned Iranian vitriol and hatred. Reuters reports ‘Catherine Ashton’s language was unusually forthright for the West’s chief negotiator over Iran’s nuclear program’. The agency quotes the statement issued by her spokesman that Ashton:

Strongly condemns the outrageous and hateful remarks threatening Israel’s existence by the Supreme Leader and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Israel’s right to exist must not be called into question. (my emphasis)

18 Aug – “White House this week scrambles to reconnect with Jerusalem after Obama administration was persuaded that Israel is serious about conducting a Fall military operation against Iran’s nuclear program before the Nov 6 US presidential election”, ie. notwithstanding heavy opposition at home and in States. Proposed UN meeting now overtaken by events and Israel presents 4-point plan for delaying attack, all of which require formal action by Obama (see Exclusive Report). Debka’s sources report that Obama has not objected or rejected this plan. [Note: this is a major breakthrough for PM Netanyahu in view of the continual personal opposition he has been confronted with from Obama.]

19 Aug – Silverstein writes Israel Official refuses to deny authenticity of …document.

20 Aug – US General Dempsey tells reporters, while on a flight to Afghanistan, that he understands Israel’s urgency in calling for action against Iran’s nuclear program. “They are living with an existential concern that we are not living with,” he said according to AFP. Israel and the US see the Iranian threat differently, admitting that Washington and Jerusalem are on “different clocks” regarding Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. [Note: Israel has always been far ahead of USA, which lacked on-the-ground intelligence.] In fact, USA had recognised Israel’s claim that Iran could produce its first nuclear device by October – this year!! (see Exclusive Report.)

LATEST 21 Aug – Western intelligence sources recognise that the likely way to avoid destruction of Israel (whether they attack Iran now, later or not) would be “to disable Iran’s nuclear program by going after its leaders”!! Perhaps it’s a better option than full-scale war, and much less costly. Iran’s goal is to eliminate Israel no matter what, so attack is the best form of defence – unless the Lord sovereignly steps in.

To understand the perilous nature of events we need to have a full appreciation of what is actually happening. You may, therefore wish to consider the latest news, in the form of a Debka special video presentation with textual copy – from those who can often have access to news prior to its breaking into mainstream media (if the BBC can handle it).

Is the B.B.C. becoming a ‘Badly Biased Corporation’? Or…?

Has the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) deliberately ignored the fastest man on earth’s God? Also, could its coverage of the Middle-East just be bellicose disinformation prior to an anticipated major regional conflict?

Cranmer’s posting of 10 August about this year’s thrice-Olympic gold medal Jamaican sprinter and world record buster opens as follows:

Usain Bolt – the fastest man on the planet – is a devout believer (of the Protestant Christian kind) in the One True God. And he makes absolutely no secret at all of the fact: he crosses himself to exalt the Trinity, and mouths a prayer to the heavens before every race. And after each victory, he publicly gives thanks to God, in word and physical supplication. Following yesterday’s triumph in the 200m, he said of his Lord and Saviour: “Nothing would have been possible without Him.”

Is this not worth just a passing mention by the BBC?

He continues:

While he was manifestly thanking God on his knees for yesterday’s victory, the BBC presenter spun this spontan-eous act of worship as Bolt having ‘a moment to himself’. This manifestly blurs the significance for the viewer. This is what Bolt tweeted:

Later, he closes:

The BBC have known for more than four years what Usain Bolt always does, before and after each race, without fail: …They have been briefed to bits by Bolt’s PR team and by members of his family: Usain Bolt is a Bible-believing, God-honouring, Jesus-worshipping Christian. But not a whisper from the BBC; not a word of explanation of the real significance of these ‘moments to himself’.

Could the once-honourable ‘Auntie’ have fallen into disrepute? I do hope its writers and directors are not making her jump onto “bigots’ bandwagon”. The following opinion in The Commentator could make one wonder whether ol’ Auntie is thinking of just that.

The Commentator questions BBC’s unquestioning acceptance of a well-known liberal Jewish blogger’s claims of receiving ‘secret’ information from Israeli military sources on a regular basis. In this particular instance, Richard Silverstein discloses details of Israeli plans for a strike against Iran. The Commentator observes:

The problem is, while Silverstein is quick to publish information he ‘receives’, the veracity of such information can of course never be verified. The BBC has not seen the so-called documents that Silverstein purports to have, nor has it double-sourced any information of the sort….

The BBC, despite being unable to verify any information beyond that of a blogpost, has run full pelt with the story, interviewing Silverstein on several occasions and quoting him widely. While their diplomatic correspondent Jonathan Marcus states that it is impossible to know whether or not the document exists, one might question the need for any kind of story based on such a tenuous blog…

One wonders what it takes today to get the BBC to report a non-story. Was it the fact that as a self-proclaimed ‘progressive’ blogger, Silverstein is well connected within the BBC? Or could it be once again that anything showing Israel in an aggressive light is swarmed upon by BBC hacks looking for a quick bit of Israel bashing?

BUT, to be fair, Silverstein’s full article deserves to be read in its entirety, as well as the follow-up. It was also covered in depth in last night’s Eye View from the White House (subscription service) wherein William Koenig similarly reports upon several articles that quote well informed high-level sources in the USA and in Israel. Of the alleged comprehensive text released to Silverstein, Koenig notes this outline shows a full ‘decapitation plan’ and comments that Israel cannot afford to go in half-cocked; so it is quite believable.

So could this ‘leak’ simply be part and parcel of the dozens of options for disinformation issued in the prelude to war? Alternatively, if it is the definitive game plan, its unofficial disclosure could be a way of spelling out very clearly to the mad-mullahs of Iran and their maniac-in-chief what, in fact, they’ll be up against when they act upon their oft-declared intent of ‘wiping Israel off the map’.

Points to ponder: 2011-2012 and Biblical historical/financial cycles

A few ‘snapshots’ and an extraordinary financial analyst’s uncanny predictions point into this new year.

If the ‘holistic’ appeals to you then you may appreciate both the spiritual/supernatural and the analytical/natural aspects of this posting – I like to indulge my scientific bent now and then! So let me ‘tee-off’ using that ‘iron’ first:

Watcher in The White House

In his weekly updates of March to May 2010, accredited White House correspondent William Koenig reported in depth upon the work of leading financial markets technical analyst Eric Hadik. After four years of having closely followed Hadik’s application of theories of cycles to natural and human events, William wrote that he “found his calculations extremely accurate”. (For more on Eric Hadik see Inside Track.)

A lot of Hadik’s understanding comes from WD Gann’s work on market cycle theories based upon his discoveries in the Bible (!!), and which could be applied to mathematical and geometrical principles! A great deal is related to sunspot activity. In 2006 scientists were estimating the next cycle would be 30-50% more powerful, peaking in 2012 (see link). Thus, Hadik makes very reliable ‘cycle predictions’ no matter whether they be of geological (as earthquakes and volcanoes), scientific (including nuclear), financial markets, political, diplomatic or military matters!

What amazes me is the fact that waves in water are not formed by water molecules travelling horizontally like a car down a road. The molecules remain more or less in place about the centre of their up and down bobbing motion, eg. as at the surface. I was taught that the wave is actually a force travelling through the body, like when a held rope is shaken and a wave travels along it. The way waves in water interact as they converge and thus reinforce/cancel one another, makes water’s surface so attractive.]

Hadik’s Predictions:

Koenig’s 2010 reports are fascinating and compelling. Historical records were used in supporting Hadik’s claim that,

“There are dozens of cycles that initially culminate in 2011-13 and then again in 2017-2018’, but the initial phase was in late 2007 to late 2008, when global events began to set the stage for a major ‘battle for Jerusalem’ (whether that be a diplomatic or a military one) in 2011“. (RB emphasis, source Koenig’s Eye View, March 19, 2010)

Hadik shows how major Christian, Jewish and Islamic cycles coincided last year!

So I have just finished checking those and many other claims for 2011 and found most to be correct, especially over Egypt, the Middle East, and the issue of Jerusalem. Readers who’ve followed last year’s events will be well aware of those developments. But in fact, Hadik had arrived at his conclusions upon the international communities’ attempts to force Israel to make huge concessions over Jerusalem and the West Bank in 2005 as the culmination of over ten years analysis (Focus 5768).

Hence, William Koenig could state in his mid-December 2011 news alert:

“There have never been so many biblically significant events in play at the same time, and the developments have been breath-taking in both speed and magnitude.

“In my final Koenig’s Eye View from the White House in December 2010, I wrote that 2011 would be like no other year that we have experienced, and that has certainly proven to be true. We have had numerous weeks that have had a year’s worth of news packed into one week.

“As 2011 closes, many potential events are coming into alignment that will make 2012 an even more remarkable and pivotal year….” (my emphasis)

NB: back in December 2009 Hadik predicted:

“2012??

“…there are Middle East and/or global war cycles that do converge in 2012…including the 11 year cycle of Middle East conflict…(my emphasis)

“It has timed conflicts in 1945, 1956, 1967, 1979, 1990 & 2001 (and actually goes back to the Palestine Mandate of 1922 and Hitler’s ascension in 1933). The next phase is in 2012.

“This also comes during the next phase of a 50/100 cycle of war (for USA)…The next phase is in 2012.” (Source Earth in Transition 3+3II p 5)

Today, Saudi Arabia and Gulf states are on war alert waiting for USA to stand up to Iranian threats to close the Strait of Hormuz and block oil tankers from the Persian Gulf.

2011 – a year in which three Christian men living within 25 miles of one another were so concerned about current events that, independently, they felt led to express their concerns.

From his coastal town, JP started blogging on what the scriptures have to say about events today. Yours truly also extended privately circulated emails into a public blog. Also, NM convened classes on the End-Times over two terms in his church in England’s ancient capital, Winchester, thereby attracting several dozen attendees. Additionally, a Baptist pastor in the county’s north-eastern corner is revisiting his understanding of eschatology.

As all that’s happening in rural eastern Hampshire, then how much more is taking place similarly in the major conurbations?

Is an increasing number of Christians in Britain waking up to the fact that…

He’s On His Way

On 23rd December we were very moved upon my opening the large broadsheet Daily Telegraph at its Market Reports page:

Such an interesting place to put this announcement – right in the middle of stocks and shares prices. But why shouldn’t Jesus be central there too? Yet the really strange thing is that we each saw the advert’s image as an hourglass, suggestive of the Lord’s return!

Later, friends were also deeply affected and recognised its prophetic aspect. Our wives both sensed the Holy Spirit fire up within them! AND, L said only a few weeks earlier she’d been walking in town when the Lord burst into her thoughts to say that he’s getting ready to return soon!

Also, in his December letter Mike Evans writes that whilst walking and praying near where Jesus will come when he returns (Mount of Olives in Jerusalem) he was,

“…struck with a new sense of urgency that His coming is to be very soon”.

Not that anyone’s thinking ‘the end is nigh’, but the indications are that heavenly preparations are most definitely in hand – so stay alert!

Even if you decided not to take up Chuck Missler’s challenge, you will have thus gained a glimpse inside a fantastic T R E A S U R E C H E S T that only a few know about!

I like Chuck’s rapid-fire style of teaching. No way can one nod off when he’s getting to the heart of whatever’s in his sights. His full, clear exposition on ‘End-Times’ was very interesting and covered questions I’d raised many years ago, viz:

What news does mainstream media hide from us?
What strategic facts do we ignore or fail to grasp?
Where can I find the answers to these questions?

I’d done quite a lot of research on the Biblical aspects, including works by well known British teachers David Noakes, Derek Prince, Lance Lambert and David Pawson. Also ferreting around for answers elsewhere I found the following secular as well as Christian online sources provided a trail of incisive analysis based upon accurate information. Nov 2011 TV Debate – Has the Church replaced Israel?

Friends – If you have satellite TV you may want to watch this debate on Revelation TV (sky 581, Freesat 692) on WED 9.11.11 at 9pm gmt.

For the motion will be Anglican vicar Dr Stephen Sizer arguing that Christian Zionism has no Biblical foundation or historical precedent, even playing a dangerous role in politics of M-East. (He’s gained a questionable stance in being vociferously pro-Palestinian claims and anti-Israel.)

Against the motion will be Dr Calvin Smith, Principal of King’s Evangelical Divinity School. His stance may be gained from Stuart James’ Church posting on Friday, Messianic Alarm

That very day I came across two other items directly related to this topic:

1. A posting on politically forthright blog Harry’s Place referred to Nick Clegg standing against an Islamist student body, FOSIS. This well researched post indicates doubts over Sizer’s integrity.

2 That evening came Bill Koenig’s weekly report from the White House, and which included his resounding denunciation of An Open Letter to America’s Christian Zionists published by Just Peace-making Initiative. After reprinting portions of the letter he concludes:

Koenig’s perspective: These men are totally clueless and dangerous. They say there has been theft of Palestinian land? Open the Bible, guys. And study your history — what so-called sovereign “Palestinian land” was ever stolen? Human rights? What about Christian rights in country after country in the Middle East? What about the wars of self-defence forced on Israel over the years? What about Israel’s right to live in the Holy Land with peace and security?

This position is becoming more and more prevalent in liberal Christian seminaries and within the leadership of the replacement theology church organizations.It is ominous and must be confronted boldly.

Rather than accept those intense remarks at face value I carefully checked the full content of that letter as an exercise in being open-minded. Its authors make an apparently honest rationale in their approach to fellow Christians: but in quoting scripture (especially Genesis) they twist its meaning completely to their biased viewpoint – not only was the letter riddled with error but it also reminded me of how Satan did the same when tempting Jesus! So are these replacement theoreticians simply Satan’s sad stooges??

Could the increasing frequency of this issue indicate the Lord is testing who’s really worthy of being his bride and thus clearing out his house?

The times are rapidly changing, are they not?
