“Here is some glorious progress!” announces Roger in South Africa in alerting me to this in yesterday’s Belfast Telegraph (re Emma Stark prophetic word on Backstop & Brexit):
‘DUP MP Sir Jeffrey Donaldson has told the Fine Gael party conference he would like to see Ireland join the Commonwealth. Sir Jeffrey received a round of applause when he mentioned the idea in Co Wexford on March 23.’ (Republic of Ireland should join the Commonwealth, DUP MP says)
And now the third piece of the jigsaw puzzle, to which I referred earlier:
German alarm grows over the EU’d dangerous ultimatum terms for Britain, runs the Telegraph business page headline to Ambrose Evans-Pritchard’s article of late last night. His report begins with my emphasis:
‘Ever louder voices in Germany are denouncing the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement as a fundamental failure of European statecraft that can lead only to a diplomatic debacle and festering animosity.
‘If the EU’s ultimatum policy causes a geostrategic rupture with a pillar of the European defence, security, and financial system – sooner or later, as it surely must under the existing terms – the recriminations in Berlin will be ugly.
“Europe is well on the way to inflicting huge damage on itself for decades by the way it has handled the failed Brexit talks,” said Marcel Fratzscher, head of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) in Berlin.
‘Professor Fratzscher says the EU is undermining its own democratic legitimacy by demanding that Westminster MPs swallow the Barnier package with a “gun to their chest” and subject to threats of “catastrophic consequences” after two-thirds have already rejected it.
‘Parliament is fully justified in rejecting a backstop arrangement that would lock UK in a customs union against its will. “No sovereign nation could agree to such terms lightly. The Bundestag itself could hardly have voted otherwise in comparable circumstances,” he wrote in Der Spiegel this week.
‘He argues that if MPs capitulate and accept the Withdrawal Agreement this would be “just as catastrophic” as a no-deal Brexit.
‘The point is obvious: it is a constitutional absurdity to try to imprison a military power with a large industrial economy in the EU’s regulatory and legal orbit without EU voting rights. This must blow up in acrimony and end in an abrogation crisis.‘
After giving his detailed insights, Ambrose concludes:
‘Whatever is being said today will not last a week if there is a no-deal. The EU will resort to emergency standby arrangements to keep trade flowing for its own political self-preservation. It will discover the beauty of trusted traders, blockchain technology, and the once derided ‘MaxFac’ solution for the Irish border.
‘Discussions between Britain and the EU might suddenly take a very refreshing turn.’
Had I not got delayed by some days in posting part 1 then I’d not have had the following information to hand – and not noticed its direct relevance. Moreover, that only happened because I’d at long last got around to hard-pruning a small pile of newspaper clippings.
Buried there were a couple of clippings about Brussels’ bashing Brexit that dealt in-depth with its bullying Eire into be the ventriloquist’s dummy. Moreover, the articles suggest a likely rapprochement between the UK and Eire and which may match what was being heard from the Lord at about the same time during February.
Those articles came as confirmation hard-on-the-heels of what the Lord had dropped into my own musings upon a possible Dublin-Belfast connection, as told in my two sets of footnotes to the video and transcript of the significant prophetic word about the Lord’s plans for Brexit and the Backstop that He gave Emma Stark when in Belfast. (What’s more, it plugged directly into what a friend at church had just read – and even telling me about it fired off a Holy Spirit reaction within him!)
For an in-depth background to aid our consideration of that prophecy let me share highlighted tit-bits from those articles by the Telegraph’s International Business Editor Ambrose Evans-Pritchard. They warrant quoting at length so we can grasp how they support that prophecy – and enable us to appreciate the continuing progress toward fulfillment of ones on the EU’s fall..!!!!
We begin with Ambrose explaining how his anti-EU opinion got firmed up.:
“My own view of Brexit hardened drastically when it became clear this was the strategy: The EU has exploited Irish sensitivities – with some encouragement from Mr Varadkar – to shut off Britain’s negotiating options and to shoehorn us into a customs union under EU legal and regulatory control.” (Naive Varadkar has finally clocked that EU used Ireland to punish Britain – Ruth Dudley Edwards)

Thank you to the Lord, Linda Bennett and UK Prophetic Words for the following, which resonates with two prophetic words shown in my footnotes:
During a prayer time whilst visiting friends in Wales the Lord gave me a vision of Britain from above and as I looked closer I could see many tentacles wrapped tightly around the countries of Britain squeezing tighter and tighter strangling the life out of Britain.
I enquired of the Lord what I was seeing and He said that that for too long Britain has not been great because it had ensnared itself with ungodly alliances which were never meant to be.
He said, “Do I not call nations into being? Did I not call this nation Great Britain? But, it is no longer great because they’ve sold their soul to the highest bidder. What looked like gold to a very few became like heavy brass around the necks of the people to enslave them to a godless agenda.”
The Lord said that Britain was Great because it was sovereign and not diluted by everyone else wanting a piece of her. He said it was time for Britain to be Great again and be the shining beacon He called her to be. No more entanglement. No more slavery to the godless ones. He said that He had heard the cries of His remnant who were crying out for freedom!
And as I looked I saw a man standing in the centre of tangled mess that was Britain. He was standing facing Europe with his hand outstretched towards Europe saying ‘LET MY PEOPLE GO’. It reminded me of the scene where Moses was demanding from Pharaoh to let his people go. He seemed larger than life and grew larger as the people prayed for freedom. Lord, raise up such a man!
And then God said, “IT’S TIME FOR MY SLEEPING LION OF GREAT BRITAIN TO WAKE UP AND ASK ME TO BREAK THE CHAINS OF THE GODLESS SOUL-TIES OF THE EU. NO MORE ENTANGLEMENT. NO MORE ENSLAVEMENT TO THE UNGODLY. FREEDOM AND PROSPERITY WILL RETURN TO MY LAND AND BRITAIN WILL BE GREAT BRITAIN AGAIN.”
In Psalm 2:8 God says ‘Ask of me and I’ll give you the nations as your inheritance’. People, it’s time to ask God to give us a GREAT BRITAIN again for our inheritance.

‘Theresa May will ask European leaders to delay Brexit after John Bercow’s bombshell intervention plunged Britain into a “constitutional crisis”, Downing Street has confirmed.
‘Following a prolonged Cabinet meeting this morning, the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said she would now write to Donald Tusk “in relation to an extension”.
‘Whilst they refused to say how long a delay she would request, it is understood that Mrs May will ask for an extension running until 30 June, which could be extended if a deal has still not been ratified by Parliament…’
That date fits closely with previous post prophecies regarding 9 months October 2018 to July 2019 delay -see Fear Not – Watch Next 4 Months.

The Spirit of God says, “Fear not, for this is the hour of your divine turning, a turning towards the ‘Son’, for now a new day and a new dawn is breaking upon the land!

“Lift up for your eyes to the mountains from where your help comes, it comes from The LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
“Fear not! For I have heard the cries of the oppressed in this nation.
“I have heard the cries of repentance and I have decreed liberty and justice over this nation!
“Watch! As My Glory now rises upon the people of this great land.
“Watch and be still, for where the enemy has come in like a mighty flood, I AM now raising a new standard in this nation.
“Listen! Pay attention to what will now take place in this nation, for My Spirit of Truth and Righteousness now goes forth to uncover and expose what has been hidden in darkness.

Fascinating example of synchronicity or ‘God-incidence’ in view of today’s developing news on Theresa May once again facing defeat in the Commons, and what Deborah Orgill kindly emailed a fortnight ago with a couple of follow-ups, which I’ve been saving for now in view of tomorrow’s historic significance. On that last, Deborah writes,
‘I saw your post Update on Vision of Snake in Parliament yesterday (26 February) and thought I should share…
‘In that article you mention 3 things: The snake, Leviathan and “the more at stake.” In 2015, these were the exact same phrases the Lord used to reveal the issues I was facing in a situation that involved the marriage break-up of an American friend. In short the Lord told me that the problems we were facing, “the more at stake,” were because of the unseen operation of Leviathan. I was given Psalm 74:14 and Isaiah 27:1:
“You crushed the heads of Leviathan. You gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.”…..”In that day the Lord will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
With His fierce and great and mighty sword,
Even Leviathan the twisted serpent;And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.”
‘Once Leviathan’s head had been removed by the Lord, by His Word, he becomes food for the people. The removal of the head releases wealth. Because of the startling similarities between your post yesterday and my 2015 circumstance other instances came to mind and I began to see a pattern based on what the Lord had previously said to me that explains, “the more at stake” and the role of the snake, Spirit of Leviathan.
‘For the UK right now this spirit is standing against the wealth, the harvest the Lord wants to release in this season to the UK by withstanding Brexit. Please note wealth or harvest is not just about finance. This can be seen in the following 2 points:
‘We joined the EU 43-45 years ago, but on 13th March (March 13th 1979 – March 13th 2019) it will be 40 years since the European Monetary System (EMS) was created, of which the UK became a part in 1990. The EMS was created to replace its predecessor and was the metamorphose of “The Snake in the Tunnel”, the aim of which had been to limit fluctuations between different European currencies by essentially pegging all EEC currencies to one another in order to be a force against THE AMERICAN DOLLAR. We withdrew from the EMS or EMR on black Wednesday in 1992, did not join the European Currency and now want to leave the EU altogether.
’40 years later to the day since the day of the EMS’ creation, the 13th March ‘happens’ to be the date when MP’s will be given the choice to vote on ‘no deal’ and extension, should the Prime Minister’s deal be rejected on 12th. Effectively, “40 years later” we would leave the European Monetary System and be free to work with other nations and currencies.
‘This is the war we are in right now This war is over the natural and spiritual wealth and harvest that the Lord wants to channel through London as the financial capital of the world for this next move of God. It’s time, by rapturing faith, to leap over the walls, as in Psalm 18:29, that the enemy Leviathan has established to try and keep us bound (that is, tied into a monetary system that does not allow us to make the connection, nexus with the USA) so that we run until we see that river of finance and wealth flowing through the City of London out to the nations of the world to enable the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth.
‘A final thought. The word Stake in the “more at stake” often refers to wealth and finance. It is a boundary-denoting word. This far and no further!

‘Although Britain did not join the EMS in 1979, it was the British politician Roy Jenkins who was not only instrumental to us joining Europe in the first place, but also overseer of the creation of the EMS. His domestic reforms are also revealing as to the spirit behind his politics. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality. Here’s a quote from his ‘obituary:
“Roy’s second cause was Europe. Without his ceaseless advocacy, it is doubtful whether Britain would have become a member of the European Community. He did not have an easy time as Commission president from 1977-81, but the overall balance was certainly positive. I would rate him third in terms of effectiveness after Hallstein and Delors. His major achievement was to launch the European Monetary System, the forerunner of EMU and the euro.” (See Jenkins: death of a passionate pro-European)
‘Critics, particularly those in the 1980s, said that Roy Jenkins had introduced what they called ‘the permissive society’. During the 1980s, Margaret Thatcher and Norman Tebbit tended to say that he was responsible for a lot of the social problems that Britain had at that time, through his legislation. ‘The recent defecting labour and conservative MP’s [‘The Independent Group’ – RB] were likened to the gang of four 1981 only last week. We are in the time of Roy Jenkins again 40 years later: abortion controversy here and in America, defecting MP’s and Europe.’
More on Leviathan – an Irish Connection?
‘This is what I heard today (1st March):
‘In Psalm 74, Leviathan was behind Egypt against Israel. Today, antisemitism is against Israel. Behind the antisemitism is Leviathan, which as we have seen is in Parliament. The Irish border back stop issue is Southern Ireland and EU supporters of the Palestinians antisemitism and all that means against Northern Ireland supporters of Israel. The head has to come off Leviathan to break that spirit and feed the people. Was Roy Jenkins anti-Israel? Was the EMS set with an agenda to enforce the political aims of the EU which are anti Semitic?
‘Repentance is needed from us regarding the 1967-1969 liberal legislation and 1979 EMS, then we can ask the Lord to do Isaiah 27:1.
(3rd March) ‘The word is, “If we will repent of the 1960’s legislation and the EUropean Monetary System, the Lord will take the head of antisemitism (Leviathan) off our nation and we will align properly with Israel and then the inheritance harvest will come.” 1 Chronicles 7:14.’

Also on 3rd March I noted this telling quotation Iain Duncan Smith (former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions) uses to begin his op-ed For too long, we have swallowed lies about the EU (emphases mine). He takes journalistic licence to stress the doubling of decades between our entry to the EEC and its deceitful goal of totalitarian control:
“The people must be led slowly and unconsciously into the abandonment of their traditional economic defences, not asked.” So wrote Lord Thorneycroft in 1947 about the plan for a European Union, and in so doing he expressed the growing belief of the political class that this was a pursuit of the ‘greater good,’ which would become the hallmark of successive governments down the years. Yet there was something else those words indicated, that in pursuit of this greater good, the political ends would always justify the means.
‘What has followed in the intervening 80 years has been a collective deceit about the purpose of the European project. This can be seen in decision after decision taken on issues concerning the EU.
‘Even now after losing the referendum, the political establishment’s Project Fear narrative of economic Armageddon is as narrow as it was in 1973. One only has to look at the disastrous negotiations to join the EEC in 1972. As Sir Con O’Neill, the leader of the negotiating team said, the overriding principle guiding the UK team from the top was, “swallow the lot and swallow it now.” Which attitude led to the last minute and tragic abandonment of the UK fishing industry. Much of our manufacturing industry suffered a similar fate in our desperate haste to sign up to the ‘greater good’...‘
He concludes, ‘In 2016, the British people finally saw through the deceit and voted out. Surely for those of us in Parliament, delivering on that vote isn’t just about leaving the EU but also, as importantly, it is about returning accountability to our politics and honesty to our governments.’

DOES GOD HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT BREXIT?
Where is the solution to Brexit, the Backstop and the Irish Border?
‘I felt that God gave me a really significant word about Brexit in the last handful of days, and a real God intervention and a heads up for what God is going to do in what looks like a chaotic situation. I really want to share this with you, particularly for those of you who are intercessors. I feel like God has given me something that I’m asking you, would you stand with me and would you pray? Would you come into a place of agreement of some of the things God is saying that needs to happen? So I am really asking for your opt-in right now and your anointing to partner with what God is revealing through His prophet.
‘I was standing in Belfast last week. Of course, I am Northern Irish; that’s where I was born and raised. Cut me and I bleed of that land, and I am passionate about Ireland, both north and south of the border.
‘I heard the Lord say this, when I asked him this question: “Where is the solution to Brexit? God, what are You saying about the Backstop and the Irish border?”
‘And the Spirit of the Lord said this to me, “Emma, the solution is in Dublin.” Well, I was shocked. And the Lord said, “There is a tangled ball of wool that is sitting in the Parliament building in Dublin, and the end of that ball of wool is in the hands of Leo Varadkar. Now Leo Varadkar is the Taoiseach, or the leader or the prime minister in Ireland, and they of course meet in Dublin. The Lord said this to me: “I put an anointing on Leo Varadkar, and it has been a dormant anointing.” But the Lord says that He made him one who would challenge the rules. He made him one who would challenge the status quo. He made him different from other leaders that had arisen within Ireland. And the Lord says, “I even put a subversive anointing on him, that he would subvert the status quo.” The Lord says he used that subversive anointing not for good purposes. But the Lord says, “Right now, like I grabbed hold of Cyrus, I am about to grab hold of that man’s hand, and I am anointing his subversion that it may be turned to subvert the kingdom of darkness and even bring about a righteous solution.”
‘And then I said to the Lord, “Well what is he to do?” and the Lord said, “He is to reach out his hand to Arlene Foster,” who as you know is the previous First Minister, the leader of the DUP in Stormont, which is the devolved parliament in Northern Ireland. And the Lord said, “I gave her a spirit and an anointing of determination, but she too didn’t always know how to use that gifting for my glory.” And the Lord says, “I am calling on what I put in her of determination, and I am going to call that out to be used for my Kingdom, and Leo Varadkar’s subversiveness. And the Lord says, “I am going to enable them to turn and to be a man and a woman who face each other.” And the Lord says, “I will put an ability for them to look at each other, see each other, dialogue with each other, communicate with each other.” And the Lord says, “I will strike them with holy lightning that there may be a resolution and a new relationship that has grown between the North and the South on the landmass of Ireland. And the Lord says, “That subversion and that determination will start to work on a plan.” And I heard the Lord say, “They will be in a coalition.” I am not talking politically. I am not talking about divided Ireland. I am not talking about united Ireland. Don’t hear this through any agenda or political mindset. I heard the word “coalition” in terms of a new relationship, a new ability to see and understand each other, a new ability to figure some things out between each other. And I heard the Lord say this – it was so clear – He said, “Brexit is out of Time”. I don’t mean like it’s running out, because we know it’s running out in terms of the end of March – but it is “out of Time” of the order of God. And the Lord says, “Do not fear, even if there is a delay. Do not fear, if that looks like increased chaos.” For the Lord says, “There is an order, and I will start in Ireland,” And they will form such a new understanding, and a new relationship with one another, that the Lord says, “It will be a model for what I want to do in nations and how they will relate to each other, even across the continent of Europe and beyond.” But the Lord says, “I am beginning a work of reconciliation and seeing each other and solution in Ireland.”
‘And the Lord says, “That is going to even have an effect on Brexit.” The Lord says, “Let Ireland be solved first before Brexit can be unpacked and fully realised.” And you can see God working in an order around the nation, from Ireland in the south, up to Northern Ireland and across, down into Westminster. And the Lord is saying in this hour that we are to pray, even for the EU and even for Theresa May and Westminster, to give Ireland space and to not dominate in that place so that the Lord can raise up these leaders to see each other. And the Lord said this: “Oh intercessors, you have prayed about the Irish border, you have gone back and forward along it.” And the Lord says, “You have bound every demon that you knew how to bind, and you have been diligent and faithful.” But the Lord is even saying now, “You did not replace that which you bound with the solution from my throne room.” The Lord says, “It is a time for the intercessors to start to say over the Irish border, ‘God has a solution’, and to release the solution; not just to bind and limit that which is nasty, but to put a higher decree in place, an overarching decree that says, ‘There will be a relational solution’.” And the Lord says, “I need your decrees and your agreement that MY relational order will come even into that landmass”, says the Lord.
‘I want to keep you up to date with some of the things I prophesied over Brexit before (videos 2017 and 2018). The Lord is saying, “Look, there is going to be a disconnect from Europe, so that there can be a reconnection.” And the Lord says that in two to three years we will be in mass revival on the continent of Europe and within the British Isles. And the Lord says, “I am making some situations [to] bring nations to their knees right now, and even a humbleness to come within the British Isles”, says the Lord, “that I may break the spirit of Leviathan off you and your pride.” For the Lord says, “I cannot come near the British Isles while there is pride, because I am held by my word that says I must resist those who are proud.” But the Lord says, “As there is humbleness and as confusion even opens a door to a hands-up that says, ‘I don’t have an answer’” – and as that brings a sense of “Oh God! We need to look to you outside of ourselves” – the Lord says, “Then Leviathan breaks”, and then that revival rushes towards us.
‘The Lord also said this to me, that there had been a robbing of the DNA of the British Isles, and that the British Isles for centuries had been known for leadership in the earth. And yes, sometimes they got that just disgustingly wrong, and sometimes there was weeping for the need for repentance. But the Lord says, “In the middle of all of that, you forgot”, says the Lord to the British Isles, “that in your very core, in your very DNA, there was the ability to make a leadership role in the nations.” And Lord is saying that the nations are crying again for the British Isles to raise themselves up, and to know what leadership is. And the Lord says, “I am healing and restoring leaders, the length and breadth of the British Isles, in this hour.” And the Lord says, “If you want to know how to pray, you pray for Leo Varadkar in Dublin, you pray for Arlene Foster in Belfast.” And the Lord says, “There is going to come such a fresh template of how leaders across borders work with each other that it will heal the backstop, it will heal Ireland, it will propel Brexit to come forth in the right way. It will model a new way of relationship for the landmass of Europe.” And the Lord says, “It will enable even revival to come, as there is a domino effect from Ireland.” And so the Lord is saying, “Take hope. I am on My throne. I know what I am doing, but I need your agreement,” says God.
‘Why? You’ve got to understand why God wants our agreement. You see, in Amos 3 it says, ‘Surely the sovereign Lord does nothing before revealing it to his servants the prophets’. God is saying, “I won’t act until you’ve seen it. I won’t act until you’ve heard it and agreed it.” Well now I am telling you what God is saying, and I want you just to raise your hands where you are and say, “Oh God, we decree a solution of relationship over Ireland. Oh God, we decree that leaders that don’t even acknowledge each other fully are going to start to come together in a new relationship. We agree even that Theresa May and the European Union back off, so that there is a space for a healing in this land.”
‘And let me tell you what else I thought the Lord was asking us to pray. I grew up in Northern Ireland. I grew up in the troubles. I know there’s a spirit of violence. You know there’s a spirit of violence there. But that violent spirit says this: “Defend yourself! Defend your people! Look after your own! Destroy those who come against you!” But when I stood on Northern Ireland last week, I felt that violent spirit had changed and it was now a blood-thirsty spirit, and that is one beyond violence, where the blood-thirsty spirit doesn’t just say, “Defend your own”. It says, “Decimate everywhere. Just have carnage as far as the eye can see.” I heard that spirit in the land, and I want you to agree with me right now that there will be peace in Ireland, north and south. There will be peace in England and Wales and Scotland, and all of the British Isles and all of the islands that that includes, that there will be in this day a striking of the ground with the spirit of the government of God and the increase of his peace. We need to decree together that there will not be a return to violence or blood-thirstiness. For the Lord is saying, “I want to work with you that there may be peace,” and the Lord says, “Now is the time not just to bind the violence, but to say, “Let peace be established for multi-generations in this hour”.’
During morning coffee I didn’t mill around in the large foyer with others but returned to my chair in the conference hall to quietly sip the drink. A different person to the woman I’d seen sitting behind me came to sit in that chair to await her friend. I turned and asked if she’d had far to travel to Windsor. This sister in the Lord replied she’d flown from Belfast and I recalled having seen her introduced on the platform a few months ago as a pastor from Dublin.

I’m very pleased to be able to present this video by Emma Stark, founding director with her husband David of Glasgow Prophetic Centre, as I’d long intended blogging about an ‘indication’ sensed in early February about Eire and Ulster relating to Great Britain and Ireland leaving the European Union together. (It got over-ridden by dealing with an inter-denominational issue; ie. diverted by satanic strategy?) But the time is now!
Emma is a respected prophetic voice around the world and I know the Starks through their association with Revd Dr Sharon Stone, leader of Christian International Europe,
Whilst in Belfast on 27th February, Emma asked the Lord for a ‘heads-up’ on what He’s going to do in what looks like a chaotic situation – “Where is the solution to Brexit. God, what are You saying about the Backstop and the Irish border?”
Emma shares the exceptional, in-depth reply she got from the Lord in this video, and asks intercessors to partner with her in prayer and stand upon this prophetic word:
“The Spirit of the Lord said this to me: “Emma, the solution is in Dublin!”
“Well I was shocked. And the Lord said, “There is a tangled ball of wool that is sitting in the parliament building in Dublin and the end of that ball of wool is in the hands of Leo Varadkhar”. Now (he) is the Taoiseach, or leader or Prime Minister in Ireland and they, of course, meet in Dublin….”
Emma then shares what the Lord told her about His specific purpose for this man:
“The Lord said this to me, “I put an anointing on Leo Varadkhar” and He says this is a dormant anointing, but the Lord says He made him one who would challenge the rules, one who would challenge the status quo. He made him different to other leaders in Ireland. And the Lord says….” (continue on the video; for transcript see PS below).

It was at Dr Sharon’s Mentoring Day in Windsor on 9th February that I began to get that ‘indicator’ of the Dublin-Belfast link. During worship I recalled that it was 7 years ago at a conference in Torquay when I told her about what I thought was from the Lord upon seeing Windsor Castle and a dynamic link between heaven and earth. The turreted, circular Norman keep symbolised a cog-wheel into which an invisible spanner or lever could be inserted in the heavenlies to wind up spiritual matters here on earth.
Next, I was reminded that later in that year, 2012 (which has direct significance to my destiny, as told here), was the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Olympics in London. In connection with that Nina and I started daily prayers and blessing for Great Britain AND Ireland, as recounted in UK/EU in/out #10: Prayer of Protection for Britain & Ireland.
Therefore, and in view of what I’d blogged in Prayer and Brexit-related Dream of Ireland vs Germany (Simon Copley dreamed of Germany / EU having invaded Ireland and thus being at war), I mused over any significance in our having prayed for Ireland as well as for Britain for 7 years.
Then came ‘confirmation’ at coffee-time when I spoke to the lady sitting behind me. She had flown in from Belfast and I recalled Dr Sharon had ordained her into CIE last year, but that was when she was living in Dublin. So although she’s moved to Belfast there is still a ministry connection.
The next morning, I got another ‘confirmation’ when a friend at church caught me to tell me about a surprising news item he’d just seen about the EU blackmailing Eire over the Brexit ‘backstop’ – see below. So once again it spoke to me of about Ireland being part of the whole British Isles and thus needing to be as separate from the EU as we are geographically from the continental land mass of Europe.
To summarise, in addition to having ‘God-incidental’ confirmation relating to the 7 years, it included a triple reference specifically to the Republic of Ireland.
Now let’s look at that news item my friend spotted in a listing of news items in Express: IRELAND BREXIT ULTIMATUM: EU to enforce hard border or KICK DUBLIN OUT of single market…(emphases mine):
‘Dublin will be forced to make the tough choice if Britain quits the EU without a deal, according to a number of senior EU figures. The European Commission sparked fury from Ireland after declaring Dublin would have to implement a hard border in the event of a no-deal Brexit. After significant protests from, which involved a heated debate between Leo Varadkar and Jean-Claude Juncker, Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief negotiator, suggested “operational solutions” would have to be found in order to prevent a hardening of the border.
‘But now high-ranking MEPs have hardened their position, insisting the single market must not be compromised even to maintain peace on the island of Ireland.
‘Elmar Brok, a German MEP with close ties to Angela Merkel, insisted that if Ireland failed to police its own borders the EU would have to take its own protectionist action.
“We would have to set up a customs border with Ireland,” the German said.’ (!!!!)

On Saturday 2nd March Tony Puccio posted Big Ben: Another Dream wherein he says:
‘I had a dream last night where I was in a room with many gear wheels moving in various directions. Then I was shown the face of a clock and realized it to be Big Ben. I saw that the hands were about to strike 12 and as they did the clock began to crumble. I watched it fall in the same way the twin towers fell. The twin towers, if you recall, were hit by planes used as bombs. I can’t say that this was the case here although the analogy was in my dream.’
This is the next in a sequence of five dreams, which I listed in January here, but it does not appear to be entirely prophetical for it describes the current state of unprecedented upheaval across British politics that’s arisen from attempting to implement the largest ever electoral vote in our political history, the Referendum of 2016. This instructed the government to remove the UK from membership of the European Union.
That is, it shows Britain’s at its midnight hour – all seems to be falling to rack and ruin, for it’s part of the shaking foretold in scripture and by many prophetical voices of late. However, there is hope that someone good [LOL – just noted the typo: it should read ‘something’; but best left alone!] will come out of this, as clearly implied in the previous dream Tony recorded on 13 Sept 2017, Big Ben Attack By Insiders:
‘I had a dream where I saw a group of people gathered around Big Ben. Everyone in the group had sledge hammers in their hands. Not the kind one would see if one were breaking up rocks or driving a railroad spike but rather the smaller one but nonetheless still capable of inflicting damage if used to do so. With that said I saw people gathered around Big Ben and they were beating it with sledge hammers and inflicting damage to it, However, each time those striking Big Ben would inflict damage to it, the damage inflicted would miraculously be restored as if nothing had happened. I remember hearing Parliament in the dream so I am assuming that it was them who were attacking the clock although their attempts in the dream were futile. This is the first time that I recall in dreams I’ve had about Big Ben where the government was involved in attacking it.’ [Emphasis RB]
TIMING
I wasn’t moved to re-blog that latest dream and the last couple of days have been too busy to do so. Also, I was waiting further developments and thus thinking of linking in some parliamentary news. But today I noted an apposite comment had been posted overnight by Dave Hood to London On The Brink: 4 Nights of Prayer and, in my spirit, know that although noted 14 years ago, it connects directly into that dream’s reference to the miraculous restoration of ‘Big Ben’ – and so is important to consider and weigh.

Wanting to verify Peter’s grousing about John’s grasp of Jesus’ parable ‘the wheat and tares’, I grabbed my Bible to look at the Gospel of Matthew…BUT IT BLEW UP IN MY FACE! – metaphorically, that is.
I’d opened it many times before without that ever happening. Had someone sneaked into the house overnight, cut and scooped out the inside of my thick tome and put a pressure-sensitive stick of spiritual dynamite inside?? Or, had some clever being, the Holy Spirit even, already known when I’d be checking on a topic that’s churning around within my mind – a specific simile on the Kingdom of God – and arranged for me to be zapped at that precise instant?
This time upon opening it, however, a supernatural flash exploded within my mind. It didn’t go >>BANG<< but EXCITEMENT EXPLODED within my spirit as I heard,
“THIS IS ALL ABOUT TO BE FULFILLED!”
That unforgettable, formative event had its origin in 2008’s controversial ‘outpouring’ led by Todd Bentley at Lakeland, Florida. We’d known of him from a few years earlier and had attended an inspiring conference in Dudley where he’d taught in depth on the Holy Spirit as he energetically motored through the Bible for over 10 hours daily! However, in 2008 he allowed personal sin to overtake him and thus stumbled from grace; but ‘good Samaritan’ Rick Joyner came alongside to direct and assist in his restoration. A part of the problem was Todd’s failure to be accountable, despite the efforts of his Canadian church’s leadership.
At that time Peter Horrobin, director of Ellel Ministries, was staunchly opposed to what was happening and the ‘lassez-faire’ (my term) attitude of N. American churches’ top leaders. John Arnott of Toronto was of the opinion the Lord would deal with it, as may be inferred from the parable of the wheat and tares – but Peter firmly disagreed with such a flimsy handle on an important part of pastoral and spiritual oversight.
On top of that controversy I’d been noticing since the attack eight years earlier on the twin towers in New York a few things happening that were biblically related. So, after my inner explosion I began taking those things more seriously and realised the need for more Christians to become aware of the prophetical implications of scripture.
Therefore on 28th February 2009, 10 years ago today, I emailed friends and the church leaders whom I knew personally, as follows:
THE ENDGAME IS NOW IN PLAY
‘Dear Friends – further to Rev’d Bill Smith’s recent request re Christian Freedom, may I offer some observations upon our times and, in another message, suggest a way forward?
‘Last year, I encountered two conflicting claims about Jesus’ explanation of the parable on the end-time harvest of wheat and tares (Matt13:36). So I went to check scripture but upon opening my Bible a deep excitement exploded within as I heard, “This is ALL about to be fulfilled” – WOW!!
‘Hence, my previous remarks about a sifting of the Church – in preparation for a rapid ‘sHifting’? Jesus urged His disciples to look out for and observe signs of the times. Regarding their questions about His return at the end of this Age, the earliest Gospel account has Jesus stressing 7 times, “Watch…be alert…on your guard“ (Mark 13). Matthew 24 reports Jesus saying 4 times, “Watch…and when you see…” followed by the parables of the burglar and of the virgins:> “Don’t be caught napping!” [Is the Church still asleep?] Luke’s account has, “Be always on the watch…” (ch21:36) and chpt 12 (NIV) has sections on watchfulness and interpreting the times. In each Gospel Jesus commands, “Learn the lesson of the fig tree…”. Also, the Apostles went on to give more indicators (Acts 3:20-1, Hebrews 12:26-7, 2 Peter 3, 2 Timothy 3 and the first and second letters to the Thessalonians).
‘Have you studied or read/heard/given any teaching on this topic lately? So, let’s watch closely what’s happening here and globally…’
THUS, began my calling to write on the relevance of Bible and contemporary prophecy to current events, and the next month’s double-email Not Many People Know referred to the EU’s 666 connection!
This was soon followed by a confirmation whilst attending a school on prophecy on 21st May 2009 at Winchester Vineyard church and led by internationally renowned teacher Isabel Allum.
Isabel was led to prophesy for individuals in the audience. Walking straight up to the two of us, she discerned for me, “An impartation like Daniel had is going to come into you and you will start understanding the ‘riddles’ of the Lord in a different way – the gift of interpretation itself as Daniel and Joseph had is going to come to you and God is going to open up your understanding to hear from heaven.”
As my writing started soon after Barack Obama’s inauguration as President of the USA, many of my emails would cover his involvement in the Middle-East (see Obama’s Cairo Speech…Europe and Two Daniels…).
Therefore, I was encouraged to continue writing a couple or so emails a month until, by mid-2011, I was getting distinct ‘digs in the ribs’ to circulate to a far wider audience. The dream of seeing and realising the Kingdom is being set up in Britain, as told here, made me determined to deliver on those ‘nudges’ by launching this blog with some trepidation on 21st November 2011.
What had, however, had first piqued my curiosity in Bible prophecy and End-times as an anti-Christian was my reading a secular book in mid-1980s about the convergence of Jewish, Christian and Islamic calendars with historical events in the Holy Land and Jerusalem. ‘Coincidentally’, what was showing on TV of elite units of Iranian and Iraqi armies rehearsing the liberation of Jerusalem (despite their being at war!!) plugged straight into what I noticed whilst I was flicking through The Invisible Hand.
Since starting this blog time I’ve noted the increasing incidence of those ‘Gog-Magog’ events, even an impediment over the blog’s second anniversary to writing about Iran! To read about Bible-related current events see Bible Updates tag (note: not exhaustive).
TODAY’S RELEVANCE OF THE BIBLE
In addition to the increasing prophetical focus this year on the wheat and tares parable, as in the previous post, we’re now, 10 years after my having that revelation, watching the direct relevance of the Bible’s predictions in everybody’s everyday life! It predicts precisely what happens today when – of all things – people go shopping!
That is, the Holy Bible states in writing that, instead of handing over cash to buy goods, people will be waving their hands, or some indicative marking they’re got in or on their hands! In other words, contactless payments – the cashless society!
Check it for yourself in the Book of Revelation: ‘no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark of the beast on their right hand’ (Rev 13:17).
However, as the main part of that book after the first three chapters is highly symbolical then we’re not necessarily talking about a specific sign on a person’s hand or forehead. To consider this further you may like to read whether the ‘mark of the beast’ is a spiritual sign, as claimed in RFID, Technology and The Mark. (NB. End-Times Prophecy is 7th Day Adventist website which I’ve yet to check in any depth.)

Just in case, I confirm the Ad shows the Chamber of the House of Commons filled up with various animals where people would normally sit. Amongst the animals are two very large snakes slithering over the benches. The advert ends with the entrance of A UNICORN and A LION striding towards the despatch box. The lion begins to lift his magnificent head and ROAR AND ROAR. Not the norm for an advert, especially for a newspaper. It must have been SUPERNATURAL. Haven’t seen it a second time. Interesting! Praise God, He IS IN THE HOUSE.”
I responded: “ACE! Thank you Lord and Ann, as this is news to me because we avoid all tv adverts…As I respond to you from my WordPress ‘dashboard’ I espy a short list of draft blogs, and the topmost is ‘Update of vision of snake in Parliament’. AND as I’m not blogging as usual today because of dental and medical appointments I was wondering what and when to post next.” [Note, normal process for replying is via email notification connecting into WP notifications in drop-down side-bar, not the full-screen ‘desktop’.]
An article in The Drum about this new publicity campaign explains,‘The Times and The Sunday Times has launched a new campaign that portrays politicians as animals in ‘Westminster Zoo’ as the publisher tries to reinforce its commitment to keeping readers informed in confusing times. Capturing the current mood of the nation, the ‘Politics. Tamed’ campaign anthropomorphizes politicians as animals in a similar vein to Orwell’s Animal Farm…Reiterating how it is newspaper’s jobs to ‘tame politics,’ only the lion and the unicorn – from the crest in The Times masthead [RB: using the Royal Coat of Arms] – can bring order to the proceedings.’
This makes the THIRD example of the press inadvertently following modern prophecy, as we saw last year in ‘Outfoxing the Remainers’ – see Urgent: ‘Fox in Hen-house’ (ie. Parliament) Prophecy Reiterated) and last month here.

I saw the following about the EU’s puppet-master yesterday in Telegraph’s online news-feed (time-stamp 9:07):
The billionaire philanthropist has urged pro-Europeans to wake up before the EU “sleepwalks into oblivion” ahead of the looming European election.
‘Writing for the business website MarketWatch, Mr Soros warned that Eurosceptic parties were on the rise across Europe and now enjoyed a “competitive advantage”.
‘Issuing a rallying cry to those who support the European project, he added: “The people of Europe need to wake up before it is too late...’
Today, however, I cannot find it on that American site’s Europe&Middle-East section, but it appears in London’s Financial News of 12 Feb. Note especially how this EU puppet-master reflects the odious and outrageous, totalitarian and thus anti-democratic nature of the EU, which is not at all surprising.
EUROPE IS SLEEPWALKING INTO OBLIVION
Soros begins (emphases mine):
‘Europe is sleepwalking into oblivion, and the people of Europe need to wake up before it is too late.
‘If they don’t, the European Union will go the way of the Soviet Union in 1991. Neither our leaders nor ordinary citizens seem to understand that we are experiencing a revolutionary moment, that the range of possibilities is very broad, and that the eventual outcome is thus highly uncertain.
‘The next inflection point will be the elections for the European Parliament in May 2019.
‘Unfortunately, anti-European forces will enjoy a competitive advantage in the balloting. There are several reasons for this, including the outdated party system that prevails in most European countries, the practical impossibility of treaty change, and the lack of legal tools for disciplining member states that violate the principles on which the EU was founded. The EU can impose the acquis communautaire (the body of EU law) on applicant countries, but lacks sufficient capacity to enforce member states’ compliance…’
‘The party system of individual states reflects the divisions that mattered in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, such as the conflict between capital and labor. But the cleavage that matters most today is between pro- and anti-European forces…’
‘In the United Kingdom, too, an antiquated party structure prevents the popular will from finding proper expression…The situation is so complicated that most Britons just want to get it over with, although it will be the defining event for the country for decades to come…The public is also becoming aware of the dire consequences of Brexit. The chances that May’s deal will be rejected on February 14 are growing by the day. That could set in motion a groundswell of support for a referendum or, even better, for revoking Britain’s Article 50 notification.’
Soros concludes:
‘It is difficult to see how the pro-European parties can emerge victorious from the election in May unless they put Europe’s interests ahead of their own. One can still make a case for preserving the EU in order radically to reinvent it. But that would require a change of heart in the EU. The current leadership is reminiscent of the politburo when the Soviet Union collapsed — continuing to issue ukazes as if they were still relevant.
‘The first step to defending Europe from its enemies, both internal and external, is to recognise the magnitude of the threat they present. The second is to awaken the sleeping pro-European majority and mobilise it to defend the values on which the EU was founded.
‘Otherwise, the dream of a united Europe could become the nightmare of the twenty-first century.’
As for every other Eurocrat and EU-connected Lord and MP in the British Parliament, as well as too many Cabinet members, this article demonstrates they’re totally out of touch with the logic behind Britons’ democratic choice to leave that imperial Union.
I have news for you George Soros – the EU already is a nightmare! ‘Remainers’ failed to support their case but could only resort to bombastic disdain and threats empowered by the ungodly spirit of fear; aka, ‘Project Fear’.
Moreover, as its leaders Tusk and Verhofstadt have descended into threats of sending Brexit leaders to ‘hell’ via the guillotine, all sane, rational persons now comprehend the spiritual nature of this battle for Britain’s sovereignty. (Am reminded of the old pagan proverb, ‘Those whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad’!)
Not only do we strongly object and take a stand against diabolical declarations but we also praise the Lord for prophetic words received last year that ‘the curse is broken’ (as here and here).
Therefore, let’s pray and trust the good Lord will break all Britain’s connections cleanly with the deplorable EU.
MOREOVER, contrary to Tusk’s hell-bent declaration, we can agree with Soros’ own decree and declaration that the EU IS GOING INTO OBLIVION – which aligns with the prophetic word of 2015 that the Lord will bring about its fall; and which in part says:
“…Rather than rely on Me and my faithfulness to you, you chose, for worldly purposes, to join yourself to an institution which has denied my Name and refused to acknowledge Me in its councils. My fierce anger is upon that institution on account of its rebellion, its defiant rejection of me and its hardness of heart towards my ancient people Israel.
“I warn you now that the European institution will not repent, even though I bring disaster and destruction upon it. I urge you, O Britain still beloved by Me for the sake of your godly forefathers, come out of her, so that you may not be caught up in that same destruction, for I am even now arising in judgment to bring to nothing what she has sought to achieve. If you will separate yourself from her declared rejection of God, I will have mercy upon you and restore my hand of protection; and I will use you once again to bring light to many lost in the darkness which is now steadily increasing…”
Perhaps a merciful way of achieving this would be for the EU institution to be put to sleep first? Let’s not forget, Rosemary recently reported having perceived a shroud over our Parliament…!
Also, yet again we see a continuation of Fulfilled Prophecy #13; the 11th I’ve blogged but lots more turned up in the news!
A couple of comments submitted this week offer informative insights into the scriptural and contemporary recognition of the European Union as being akin to ancient Babylon, in addition to the EU Parliament in Strasbourg being built like the Tower of Babel. That brought by a Muslim refugee seeking entry into Europe is exceptionally striking:

‘On Richards Watch I have read contributors who say the EU can’t be saved or reformed and this seems to confirm this. I also found it interesting how “foreigners” discuss the situation and decide to go home to their own countries!
‘Confirmation if we needed it that the EU is in a mess and it’s time to leave!’

‘I read Graham from Plymouth comment on Significant Spiritual Signs re tower babel last night. The night before I had watched a recording of Simon Reeve’s Middle East tour where he was with refugees hiding near a border in Morocco waiting to try and get into Europe via Spain. One of these was talking to Simon saying, “We need to get to Babylon” – I think Simon asked if he meant Iraq, but he said no – Europe. “You call Europe, Babylon?” “Yes” the refugee casually said, as if Simon should have known that all along!’

Now, what do ordinary Muslims know that Eurocrats, ordinary Europeans, politicians as well as many churchgoers here don’t? Could that remark explain why Muslims were the religious grouping most in favour (69:31) of Britain staying in the EU (source)?
Is that Muslim’s opinion not a severe indictment upon our spiritual ignorance!

Lord, we declare You are the Alpha and the Omega who rules over the nations with love, wisdom and truth, and we thank You for the power of revelation, anointing and Your grace within our lives.
We praise You for the depth of change You are working in this nation at this time; for all that You desire to release, for the healing, the restoration and the Kingdom-purpose You are bringing forth.
We declare, that which You have begun You will complete by the power of Your Word and the strength of Your might. Now, we call Your people into Your Presence, to hear Your voice and to understand Your ways, that the power of prayer will be exercised and increased across this land. (Isaiah 55:11.)
We declare in this day, the old pattern, leadership and Governmental connections are passing.
In the Name of Jesus, we speak over the totality of this round of talks, over the political shifts, the economic shifts, the shifts of boundaries and borders taking place, and over every associated mindset, heart and value; and we decree and declare the New Season God has planned for this land will be delivered in full, in order and on time.
We silence every opposing voice, network, agenda, manipulation, foolishness and control.
Now Lord, over the negotiations taking place this week, we speak Your wisdom and Your favour, that every hindrance, intransigence and difficulty caused by man or the enemy will be removed.

Last night’s news of Donald Tusk’s outburst against Great Britain makes for an unusual follow-up to a reader’s recent enquiry about decrees and declarations. Therefore, I can but conclude:
As President of the European Council and speaking in his official capacity in a conference with the Irish Prime Minster in Brussels yesterday, Donald Tusk spoke out and publicly promulgated an utterly despicable curse from his written notes (ie. a declaration made from a decree), not only upon those who promoted Brexit without having made safe plans for its completion but also and by implication upon every British citizen who voted to leave the E.U.!
(I’d thought to insert a copy of his ‘tweet’ here, but that would reiterate its impudence.)
THE GLOVES ARE NOW OFF! THE EU’s FALL DRAWS NIGH!
Resorting to slander shows the EU’s now lost the ‘discussion’ – lock, stock and barrel. Moreover, they confirm the real spiritual nature of the current Battle for Britain.
Prophetic words and visions of the demonic evil behind today’s Tower of Babel are now demonstrably accurate and fully vindicated by this exposure, not only of its President’s heart but also of this totalitarian institution’s leadership. Clearly, the Lord is allowing this outrage to inform the British public of the real, spiritual nature of the European Union that underpins its legal, political and financial structure.
What’s more, I believe the curse is, or even has been, reversed as foretold in two separate words of prophecy that were brought last year. I’ll reiterate those at the end of this two-part blog.
Tusk’s outburst – endorsed by EU Parliament’s Negotiator – demonstrates Britain’s best interests are served by being completely separate from the EU – without any Irish ‘backstop’!
Today’s report from Brexit Central upon the event reminds us the EU is fundamentally anti-democratic – and corrects the EC President’s faulty memory:
‘What an extraordinary day it was in Brussels yesterday. Leading most of the papers today are the incendiary remarks made by European Council President Donald Tusk yesterday at a press conference alongside Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. At the end of a relatively short statement, Tusk opined:
“By the way, I’ve been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted Brexit, without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely.”
‘Never mind the deeply undiplomatic nature of the comment which unsurprisingly drew much criticism, it was also totally untrue. While David Cameron and George Osborne may have irresponsibly refused to allow the civil service to prepare for the eventuality of a Leave vote in advance of the referendum, plans were drawn up by others. As Dr Lee Rotherham reminded us here (Change or Go, dispels pernicious myth no work done on Brexit), on BrexitCentral in 2016, there was Change, or Go – the seminal publication from Business for Britain which ran to more than 1,000 pages. Its subtitle, “How Britain would gain influence and prosper outside an unreformed EU”, provides the clue to it being exactly what Tusk claims did not exist. Or there was the 2014 publication, Cutting the Gordian knot: A Road Map for British Exit from the European Union, written by Rory Broomfield and Iain Murray. There were many others too.
‘There’s no way that this was an off the cuff intervention from Tusk. It was clearly planned. If you watch him making the remarks on our video, you can see him referring to written notes while he said it. And he then happily tweeted he words out afterwards (prompting an equally inappropriate response from MEP Guy Verhofstadt, which makes our Tweet of the Day below).
‘And then to rub salt into the wound, at the end of the press conference, Varadkar is caught saying: “They’ll give you terrible trouble in the British press for that”, to which Tusk replies: “Yes, I know” and laughs. What on earth was he thinking???
‘Moreover, many of us had already been offended by some of the earlier contents of Tusk’s short statement. Aside from the contradiction of declaring the Withdrawal Agreement “not open for re-negotiation” while demanding that Theresa May offer a “suggestion on how to end the impasse”, the former Polish Prime Minister also reminded us of the EU’s arrogant attitude to referendums which deliver the “wrong” answer.
‘Having claimed that “a very great number of people in the UK… wish for a reversal of this decision” to leave the EU, he lamented: “The pro-Brexit stance of the UK Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition rules out this question… Today, there is no political force and no effective leadership for Remain”.
‘Some might say that the definitive result of the 2016 referendum rules out a reversal of the said decision. Call me old-fashioned, but when a parliament organises a referendum to ask the people a question, is it not duty bound to implement the answer it is given? But of course, that’s not the EU’s way of doing things. When Denmark rejected the Maastricht Treaty in a 1992 referendum, they had to vote again in order to approve it. It was the same with Ireland and their Nice Treaty referendum in 2001. And when the French and Dutch electorates rejected the European Constitution in 2005, it was merely cosmetically repackaged as the Lisbon Treaty. And when the Irish rejected that in 2008, they had to vote again in order to give Brussels the answer it required. All a salutary reminder that the EU is not so much undemocratic as anti-democratic.
‘Back to yesterday’s events and Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker also repeated that the Withdrawal Agreement is the “only deal possible” and “not open for renegotiation”. Speaking alongside Varadkar after his meeting with the Taoiseach, Juncker specifically rejected the will of the House of Commons as set out through the Brady amendment when he declared that “alternative arrangements” could “never replace the backstop”. And in order to ensure Tusk did not enjoy a monopoly on offending we Brits, a picture emerged of Juncker and Varadkar posing with a large novelty “Thank You from Ireland” card evidently sent to the Commission President, with Juncker’s office letting it be known that it contained the message “Britain does not care about peace in Ireland”.
‘All of yesterday’s antics were all the more extraordinary because of their timing: today Theresa May is heading to Brussels for meetings with Messrs Tusk, Juncker and Verhofstadt on the back of last week’s Commons votes and the Whitehall talks that have been considering alternative arrangements to the backstop.’
The Telegraph’s international business editor Ambrose Evans-Pritchard’s Parliament Beware: the Backstop and EU Political Declaration are a double-trap makes essential reading for its historical background:
‘BE very wary of any EU codicil, protocol, or soft law memorandum offering assurances on the Irish backstop. Either it safeguards the UK’s sovereign prerogatives and free agency, or it locks the country into a perpetual legal arrangement as a regulatory captive without voting rights. It is one or the other. No fuzzy compromise on this legal point can exist.
‘The 1713 Treaty of Utrecht still holds force – to the eternal irritation of Madrid – because it is extremely difficult to abrogate. “You cannot get out treaties unless there is a ‘denunciation clause’ or by mutual agreement,” said Lorand Bartels, a law don at Cambridge.
‘NAFTA, NATO, or the WTO, all have escape clauses. That is why Donald Trump can threaten to tear up everything. The Withdrawal Agreement does not. It is sui generis. (ie one of a kind)
‘No large country in modern peacetime history has ever signed a treaty document of this kind yielding fundamental sovereign powers for ever. The insolvent king of Spain agreed to the Treaty of Utrecht and the loss of Gibraltar only because he had been defeated in the War of Spanish Succession.
‘We already have the hard lesson of the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights, the so-called Christmas tree of rights dismissed at first by one Europe minister (Keith Vaz) as “no more binding than the Beano or the Sun”.
‘The Lisbon Treaty later gave the Charter legal force under the European Court (ECJ). This created a clutch of aspirational economic and social rights that clash with Common Law practice…’
‘Brussels needs to do something because risks are rising. Europe is suddenly in a rougher predicament than anybody expected, hence Mr Tusk’s talk of dispatching Brexiteers to a “special place in Hell”.
‘The eurozone is near recession with no monetary or fiscal defences. It faces the escalating risk of an Italian debt crisis spreading to French and German banks. A no-deal Brexit has become very dangerous for the EU as well…
‘Lest we forget, the backstop is not the only landmine in the withdrawal package. The supposedly non-binding Political Declaration keeps the UK subject to the Acquis on the environment, labour law, taxation, competition, and state aid. Non-regression clauses make this law impossible to repeal even where its manifestly harmful.
‘Paragraph 132 states that the ECJ will have the final say on disputes. This extends the legal capture of the Withdrawal Agreement into the future relationship. Paragraph 135 establishes a punishment mechanism, with fines for breaches of the accord. It sets in train future fishing quotas…’

Further to the previous, a new static page Brexit: The Present Impasse is now available to read. This commendable article comes by courtesy of Dave Chapman, author of EU – There Is An Alternative, is a useful summary of the background leading into the latest non-developments.
Dave correctly identifies the major source of the impasse as being the personal views of around two-thirds of Members of Parliament who prefer Britain to Remain tied to the EU.!! He writes,
‘It should be said that if Democracy is to stand up in our Country, Remaining in the EU – after the Referendum – should never have been an aim or even a possibility by any MP. They all should have got behind the vision for Britain separate from the EU after 29th March 2019. They were elected on that basis!’

Suzzanne Ferrett kindly permits me to republish this from Passion For The Nation. She posted it as an informal chat on the message she’s been teaching for the past couple of years. Yet it’s timely in my own considerations of prophecy and politics arising out of a personal challenge to my referring in Cranmer to the Lord’s mind on Britain and the EU. Your attention is drawn to Suzanne’s outlining differences between Britain and Europe and to our laws in particular, further details of which may be found in two footnotes.:
I thought with all the confusion and the noise of the challenges in our nation right now, It would be good for me to explain why I believe this is a season of huge opportunity for the Body of Christ. Let me take a moment to explain why.
I am aware that even with the promises of God that we stand on the brink of huge revival, many are still struggling.
My whole journey with praying and speaking into government, began with a number of revelations God gave me around 2015 and the beginning of 2016, when I moved with my husband to Windsor in Berkshire, not long before the 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta. At that time, with several other ministers, we called a Convocation to celebrate this document, which had never been overtly successful, yet had shaped our nation and the nations for 800 years.
During that time, God showed me how the roots of our nation, Government, justice system, democracy, institutions and way of life are based through the Magna Carta on Christian principles and foundations. The Magna Carta itself was not totally original, but drew on the Law Code of King Alfred, a Christian who is often called the first King of England, although that title should really go to his grandson.
At that time, as we looked backwards to celebrate the past, I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit to look towards the future, and we released a decree about the rising up of a governmental army, who would through their prayers govern in the spiritual realm above natural government. At that time, I felt God said, what we “have seen in the past of Godliness in this nation is only a shadow of what is possible in the future as His people rise up and take their place.”
Around that time, I also felt there would be a void in government and that would be the time when the Ecclesia would arise! (In my book Declarations to Change a Nation – published 2016)
About a month later, in July 2015 God spoke to me clearly in the words of a poem:
‘It’s the day of clash of Empires,
It’s the Day of the Clash of Sounds,
It’s the Day of the Clash of Spirits
as they seek to take the ground,
The no-man’s land of England will become a Battleground,
The forces are preparing, The swords are being ground,
I’m calling to my church now to listen to the sound.’
This speaks of a spiritual battle in the nation, which is affecting many areas of society, and right now is sitting very squarely on our Government.
It is very clear from the gospels, that Jesus was really concerned that the “yeast of the Pharisees, Sadducees and Herodians” did not infect His church. Those three groups, the religious, the wealthy and the political, have historically held the power in many nations, and the key word is power – which is so often, the DNA of the world systems.
I believe God is shaking nations, because it is the beginning of a new era. When things are stable, change is difficult, but great shaking has the capacity to bring great change, therefore as everything moves, there is room for the establishment of something new – which right now, for simplicity, I will call the Government of the Kingdom of God.
Resounding above all the noise is the Kingdom call. A day for the Kingdom to come in all its glory and fullness, embracing the call for salvation, but also bringing righteousness, mercy, truth and justice to the earth. The DNA of God’s Kingdom is very different from the world’s systems and kingdoms, and yes, it is a Spiritual Kingdom, but it will touch and affect every part of society.
Jesus gave the coming of the Kingdom huge priority: pray “Kingdom Come” and “Seek first the Kingdom of God.”
The danger is that as everything shifts and moves, and changes take place, voids open up, and there is confusion and fear. But if God’s people will see from His perspective and stand in the assurance of His covenant and His blessings, we are those who have the potential to fill those voids with everything from love and hope, to the righteousness and justice of the Kingdom. Otherwise, something else will fill those spaces.
I believe what we are seeing in the shaking around Brexit, is part of the shift God is seeking to bring. The roots of Europe are different from ours. Their spiritual heritage is different, more based on the Roman model and influenced by Enlightenment thinking, and they have a different view of democracy.
The nations which hold the same values as ours, from the freedom of choice and the value of life, to the value of the individual, are those whose heritage roots back to the UK and to our political system.
It is because of the early roots through the Magna Carta and back to King Alfred 200 years before it, that our democracy is founded on the truth that there is a Higher Authority – God the Judge, the Lawgiver and the King. It means there are absolute truths which underpin everything else.
This is the foundation which has made us the nation envied around the world; the freedoms we have enjoyed, the expectation of truth and honesty, the value put upon life and the freedom of religious belief and more. The nations which were part of, or influenced by the British Empire, for all its faults, can still be identified by a similar, if eroding value system and interestingly, are also the only nations which carry all these values.
Other democracies are different. I remember being taught at school that Democracy of itself carries the seeds of its own destruction. Without the understanding of that Higher Authority, Parliament is at the whim of the current flavour and belief of the people.
I have had people say to me that democracy is not Biblical, God wants a theocracy. I agree, however, a theocracy still needs a system to deliver God’s government. If you look at the book of Genesis, Israel went into Egypt as a family, they came out as a nation, but a nation with no laws, and no understanding other than their experience as slaves in Egypt.
God took Israel aside, He gave them a leader and through that leader He gave them laws, instructions and principles, but He told them to choose for themselves those who would be the Judges of those laws – those who would interpret and apply that law. For the United Kingdom there is a linking of some of those concepts; the coming of the Kingdom – righteousness, justice and mercy – in our nation is linked to the battle for our democracy and the Christian heritage contained within it, but I believe the primary goal, is the increase of His Kingdom government in our land. How do we view our present situation, if the nation and parliament no longer recognise or submit to a Higher Authority?
I stand in amazement of what God is doing at this time. Coinciding with Him shaking our nation, He is shaking the church, and that means you and I are being shaken. We stand at the end of 500 years of the reformation and restoration of the church, the Body of Christ, during which He has been restoring New Testament truths and values to His people. Even in the past few years, we have seen the Father’s Heart message, the call for the church to go beyond its walls, the inner healing movement, restoration of the five-fold ministries to name a few, and recently the understanding of the word Ekklesia.
God is raising a people who know their identity, who know they stand positioned in blessing despite the situations around them, who know God is with them, that they are both kings and priests, and who also recognise and carry His heart for the people around them, crying out for a revival which will transform lives and situations.
And, there is fresh revelation into the prayer movement to know how to legislate in alignment with heaven, through declaration and decree. In this way, through the power of His people praying according to His will, God takes His place as the true lawgiver in our land.
A Parliament of Christian MP’s will never replace the authority of God’s Ekklesia.
The reason it’s been such a confusing season is that the changes God has been bringing to the nation, the Church and His people are all coinciding.
Why? I believe, it is so that we can go out and be all He has called us to be, we can fulfil the unique call on the inside of us – filling those voids of hope and need all around us, but also through prayer and declaration, aligning our government with His will and purpose for this time – turning the nation back to Him and discovering a new national identity.
One thing about our nation is obvious, we are called to lead and influence others. As we fight for our land, we are really fighting for the nations.
An amazing season of opportunity for the Kingdom of God.
