Ready for His Return

Wise, warm words of warning from a sister on watch. The second letter of Peter was perhaps the last to be accepted into the canon of the New Testament, possibly over a question of authenticity.  As  may be inferred from my comments, I’m personally convinced that it was inspired by the Holy Spirit. As I read through the second epistle of Peter, third chapter, I note that it is full of warnings–what to look for, what will happen, how to live in light of it all.  Warnings come to prepare us, as well as to caution us.  Not only did I note the warnings, however, but I also gained a sense of solace in several of the verses.  In the end, we are compelled to “… grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (II Pet. 3:18).”   There’s much to be said about growing in knowledge, especially in light of the fact that we’re told that in the last days there will be those who mock the Word and the promise of His coming (Christ’s return).  If we are ignorant of  the Word, we will easily be turned away from the very Gospel that we confess…

Watch!

This profound posting by Tony, fellow watcher and regular contributor to this blog, draws attention to the urgency of these days as the hands of God’s clock approach midnight. I would add that Tony closes with scripture and a striking dream that connects directly into what the Lord had already given Nina for delivery at a forthcoming ladies’ breakfast – Are You Ready? (recounted here – also see comments).

In fact, In John it says the following about light and darkness, “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

GET READY…!

Please consider an interesting instance of similar prophetic words given recently in the UK and in the USA.  Surely it’s not coincidental that they happened a week apart, or that I should be slap bang between them?  220px-Paul_Revere's_rideBoth ‘words’ reminded me of Monday 5th September last when I read Tim Eldridge’s remarks at the Inception Meeting for the Revival Alliance Gathering. Therein, Tim referred to Paul Revere’s preparations for his historically famous ride at the outbreak of the War of Independence. (See Father, let your Kingdom Come and paragraph about Tim in the Gathering’s Report. Picture courtesy of Wikipedia.) Therefore, consider this..:

During Holy Week (this year, the first week in April) I ‘stumbled’ upon a relatively short website UK Prophetic Words that’s been online for just under a year. On Palm Sunday (1st April), Geoff Pick reported upon a series of ten visions some of which struck chords within me, especially the one about a coming change in national anti-Christian culture. Also, I particularly noted that it closed with:

The final picture – A horseman riding towards us I see a horseman riding furiously towards us. He is bringing a proclamation as in Matthew 25. “Get ready the bridegroom is coming.”   Be filled with the oil of heaven, be ready for His return.

Rev John KilpatrickOn Good Friday afternoon we watched the morning’s service live from The Bay Revival, which was on tour in Missouri. Warming up to teach, Rev. John Kilpatrick spoke about  previous talks, one of which was on the glory of God. As he began to speak on this – and only in passing – he sensed the Holy Spirit start to kick in: “You talk about the presence of God and He will come come! – Hohh!”  (he jumped – he usually gives a quick ‘whoop’ and does a little skip when the Holy Spirit gets him fired up).  The congregation got to its feet to praise the Lord for a few minutes, then Pastor John’s tone took on a gravity as though he heard direct from the Lord:

“Can I tell you, right now in heaven…there is a man seated right next to the Supernal God on High? (applause)…and He bears in His body the scars from His earth-walk…and He is alive at this very second as I speak (cheers continue), He is alive – I said, as I speak He is alive (more louder applause). “And if you only knew…what’s going on in the ‘family activities building’ in heaven right now! “The table cloths are being spread, the china’s being set, the horses are being given their oats – the stable doors, the hinges are being greased…(pause) “That man…is about to come back and get His people. I said…He’s about to come back and get His saints – it ain’t long!”

My, what words to weigh…the Lord bless you in this. NOW, whatever your thoughts on this you need to get to know for sure who Jesus really is. A prophetic word for 2012 from Dr Sharon Stone

Further to my previous posting, please see this link to a prophetic word from the Lord given last week through Dr Sharon Stone. Although mainly for the UK it is also relevant to Europe and a couple of continental nations.

This word has two thrusts: ‘A Ripening Season’ and ‘Divine Intervention to Receive a Kingdom Which Cannot Be Shaken’ and speaks of an increased global shaking during which ”God’s hand will be upon his people in a new way”. Therein, Sharon brings the Lord’s scriptural promises for this year and many very encouraging details of how they will be achieved.

The section on how ‘Kingdom Covenant Releases Kingdom Government’ is of particular personal interest because of occasional insights received since having a vision of the Rock emerging out of a broken, torn-apart Britain. That is;

  • At a meeting in Bath City Church in March 2009 a group of leaders were singing ‘Our God Reigns’. Right after that song I heard from the Lord, “Prepare to rule!”. Another time in that city I was directed to Jesus’ promise to the church in ancient Philadelphia as being valid today, and in my being a ‘pillar’ (Rev 3:10-12). I didn’t realise verse 12’s reference to ‘New Jerusalem’ would also follow soon (“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name”).
  • Another time during worship, at a Winchester Vineyard conference in May 2011, I had a very distinct impression of the Lord drawing attention to the importance of his great goal – the bride of the Lamb as the New Jerusalem, and the new earth and new heavens – as though directing me to consider a book written beyond the Bible’s back cover (read here).

What exciting times we’re blessed to be living in!  As one would expect, there’s strong measure of agreement between the two words received from the Living Lord.

Readers unfamiliar with Dr Stone may like to know that she gave a very accurate and detailed prophecy in Summer of 2008 regarding the fire that closed Eurotunnel, the unexpected collapse of XL Airline, US banks in trouble and their government bailing out mortgage giants – all of which followed within weeks. (She wrote, “September will convince you to connect into God’s economic system”.)

In July 2005, Sharon and a fellow intercessor were to attend a meeting in Bloomsbury  but arrived at the height of the London bomb outrages. That meeting didn’t take place because of a nearby explosion but the ladies were on-hand to minister to traumatised police. (Trouble had been foreseen 40 days earlier by Chuck Pierce – see comments.)

May the Lord open our minds to His word.

Prophetic word for 2012: setting the stage for the End-Times:

For Such A Time As This:

The exhortation to Queen Esther, “Yet who knows if you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this!” from her uncle at the court of the Persian king (Esther 4:14) has kept popping into mind lately. I assumed this was because of a recent insight into the Lord’s ‘fingerprints’ in my life and which came upon revisiting my personal testimony.

We’ve now learned, however, that it will be the theme for a conference in Hull City Hall on 8th to 11th March for which Nathan Morris is taking a short break home from the Bay of The Holy Spirit Revival. In October I reported his account of the Lord’s presence in New Life Church, and April 2011 had brought prophetic encouragement for the UK.

Background: Nathan’s home was the Rotherham area and after the Lord empowered him to move in signs and wonders in Asia and Africa he was invited to a conference in Alabama in July 2010. However, he had to stay because the Lord’s presence became strongly evident in  miraculous healings and continued to do so. The pastor hosting this revival is John Kilpatrick, who also hosted the Brownsville/Pensacola revival in 1995.  (The author of Great Revivalists, John Peters, tells me it’s singularly significant that the Lord is again using an individual to host another Holy Spirit led Revival. As spiritual father and revivalist partner to Nathan, pastor John believes this powerful evangelist may be the next Reinhard Bonkke. As I noted last May, he may also be like our Smith Wigglesworth – yet he also now displays a developing powerful prophetical ministry, for example.:

World-changing events in 2012!

During the Bay Revival on Friday 6 January 2012 Nathan told of his having waited upon the Lord for a word about the new year. The Holy Spirit strongly impressed upon him that unfolding global events of such ever-increasing unrest and confusion will cause fear to strike in the hearts of men and confusion, uncertainty and a sense of hopelessness to grip the hearts of many, even believers!  This is what the Lord gave him:

“For lawlessness will abound as nations and their leaders meet together to try and make alliances and make allegiances one with another.  They shall seek peace, but shall not find it –  they shall seek peace, but shall not find it! This will cause many to cry out from the rooftops for resolution but it shall still elude them for a time for further unrest will be their reward. 
“For even in 2012 there shall be great events that will change the course of this world, as you know it! For as many pour out their resources to find solutions of peace, another crisis will drain them of knowledge and resolution.
“For I would know that My people would hear My voice, that I am setting the stage for that which I have foretold in My Word and it will quickly and swiftly come to pass. For the days are coming when the lawless one shall be revealed and the son of perdition shall take his stand.
“Let my people know that those who are lukewarm, those whose hearts are far from Me, even this year satan will seek to sift you – but they will not hear My voice! Fear will grip their hearts in times of unrest and in trouble.
“But for those who will hear Me, for those who will hear the call of My voice, I will put My Word in their mouths, for those who will stand upon the truth, I will overshadow them for I will be their defender.
 “In these coming days such darkness shall be on the earth but they will be My light. I will give them a voice and they shall speak and men will hear, for My word will resound in their mouths
“For I am calling My church into the holiness of My presence. For those of you that will heed the voice of God the Lord says to you that even in these days, “Who shall ascend My holy mountain? – those who have clean hands and a pure heart.” 

“…For the day is coming, it is even at the door, when I shall begin to judge My church. I will begin to touch My people in a way they have never known before for I will show them My glory”, says the Lord.

[RB transcription, text emboldened where oral emphasis given.] After reporting the word he’d received, Nathan spoke about how this message applies to those present, stressing that “REVIVAL IS NOT AN OPTION – IT’S A LIFELINE!”

Born-again ‘watchers’ blessed with the Holy Spirit’s gifting will want to hear and to weigh this important message. Therefore, run the video below and advance to 2hrs30min when the gray progress bar has loaded.

The words for the church are highly encouraging yet admonishing. Am I correct in thinking I’ve previously referred to a likely sifting throughout the church?

He’s On His Way

It’s SO encouraging that the Christmas advert I wrote about at the close of Points to Ponder: 2011-12 has been displayed to congregations by the leaders of a couple of churches in our locality.

Folk were amazed at its appearance right in the heart of the DailyTelegraph’s financial section. Perhaps when Jesus does return to our world, he may come in the middle of a complete economic meltdown?  Not that ‘the End is nigh’ – I’m not of that brigade!

Let me state my prime viewpoint, namely, that Jesus is coming back for a bride who’s ‘made herself ready’.  Thus, I expect the church to be restored in line with Jesus’ desire that she moves fully in the ‘greater works’ – to be a bride that has arisen with the glory of the Lord appearing over her and thus pierce the ‘thick darkness covering the peoples’, etc. (see Revelation 19.7, Acts 3.21, John 14.12 and Isaiah 60.1-2). There are clear indications that this preparation is happening globally through many ministries.

Points to ponder: 2011-2012 and Biblical historical/financial cycles

A few ‘snapshots’ and an extraordinary financial analyst’s uncanny predictions point into this new year.

If the ‘holistic’ appeals to you then you may appreciate both the spiritual/supernatural and the analytical/natural aspects of this posting – I like to indulge my scientific bent now and then!  So let me ‘tee-off’ using that ‘iron’ first:

Watcher in The White House

BillKoenig_hdrIn his weekly updates of March to May 2010, accredited White House correspondent William Koenig reported in depth upon the work of leading financial markets technical analyst Eric Hadik. After four years of having closely followed Hadik’s application of theories of cycles to natural and human events, William wrote that he “found his calculations extremely accurate”.  (For more on Eric Hadik see Inside Track.)

A lot of Hadik’s understanding comes from WD Gann’s work on market cycle theories based upon his discoveries in the Bible (!!), and which could be applied to mathematical and geometrical principles!  A great deal is related to sunspot activity. In 2006 scientists were estimating the next cycle would be 30-50% more powerful, peaking in 2012 (see link). Thus, Hadik makes very reliable ‘cycle predictions’ no matter whether they be of geological (as earthquakes and volcanoes), scientific (including nuclear), financial markets, political, diplomatic or military matters!

What amazes me is the fact that waves in water are not formed by water molecules travelling horizontally like a car down a road.  The molecules remain more or less in place about the centre of their up and down bobbing motion, eg. as at the surface.  I was taught that the wave is actually a force travelling through the body, like when a held rope is shaken and a wave travels along it.  The way waves in water interact as they converge and thus reinforce/cancel one another, makes water’s surface so attractive.]

Hadik’s Predictions:

Koenig’s 2010 reports are fascinating and compelling.  Historical records were used in supporting Hadik’s claim that,

“There are dozens of cycles that initially culminate in 2011-13 and then again in 2017-2018’, but the initial phase was in late 2007 to late 2008, when global events began to set the stage for a major ‘battle for Jerusalem’ (whether that be a diplomatic or a military one) in 2011“. (RB emphasis, source Koenig’s Eye View, March 19, 2010)

Hadik shows how major Christian, Jewish and Islamic cycles coincided last year!

So I have just finished checking those and many other claims for 2011 and found most to be correct, especially over Egypt, the Middle East, and the issue of Jerusalem. Readers who’ve followed last year’s events will be well aware of those developments. But in fact, Hadik had arrived at his conclusions upon the international communities’ attempts to force Israel to make huge concessions over Jerusalem and the West Bank in 2005 as the culmination of over ten years analysis (Focus 5768).

Hence, William Koenig could state in his mid-December 2011 news alert:

“There have never been so many biblically significant events in play at the same time, and the developments have been breath-taking in both speed and magnitude.

“In my final Koenig’s Eye View from the White House in December 2010, I wrote that 2011 would be like no other year that we have experienced, and that has certainly proven to be true. We have had numerous weeks that have had a year’s worth of news packed into one week.

“As 2011 closes, many potential events are coming into alignment that will make 2012 an even more remarkable and pivotal year….” (my emphasis)

NB: back in December 2009 Hadik predicted:

“2012??

“…there are Middle East and/or global war cycles that do converge in 2012…including the 11 year cycle of Middle East conflict…(my emphasis)

“It has timed conflicts in 1945, 1956, 1967, 1979, 1990 & 2001 (and actually goes back to the Palestine Mandate of 1922 and Hitler’s ascension in 1933). The next phase is in 2012.

“This also comes during the next phase of a 50/100 cycle of war (for USA)…The next phase is in 2012.” (Source Earth in Transition 3+3II p 5)

Today, Saudi Arabia and Gulf states are on war alert waiting for USA to stand up to Iranian threats to close the Strait of Hormuz and block oil tankers from the Persian Gulf.

2011 – a year in which three Christian men living within 25 miles of one another were so concerned about current events that, independently, they felt led to express their concerns.

From his coastal town, JP started blogging on what the scriptures have to say about events today. Yours truly also extended privately circulated emails into a public blog.  Also, NM convened classes on the End-Times over two terms in his church in England’s ancient capital, Winchester, thereby attracting several dozen attendees.  Additionally, a Baptist pastor in the county’s north-eastern corner is revisiting his understanding of eschatology.

As all that’s happening in rural eastern Hampshire, then how much more is taking place similarly in the major conurbations?

Is an increasing number of Christians in Britain waking up to the fact that…

He’s On His Way

On 23rd December we were very moved upon my opening the large broadsheet Daily Telegraph at its Market Reports page:

Such an interesting place to put this announcement – right in the middle of stocks and shares prices.  But why shouldn’t Jesus be central there too?   Yet the really strange thing is that we each saw the advert’s image as an hourglass, suggestive of the Lord’s return!

Later, friends were also deeply affected and recognised its prophetic aspect. Our wives both sensed the Holy Spirit fire up within them!  AND, L said only a few weeks earlier she’d been walking in town when the Lord burst into her thoughts to say that he’s getting ready to return soon!

Also, in his December letter Mike Evans writes that whilst walking and praying near where Jesus will come when he returns (Mount of Olives in Jerusalem) he was,

 “…struck with a new sense of urgency that His coming is to be very soon”.

Not that anyone’s thinking ‘the end is nigh’, but the indications are that heavenly preparations are most definitely in hand – so stay alert!

3 validations point to 2012-13 : part 3 of ‘Death or Destiny?’

A little time was needed to gain a fuller understanding of that awesome visitation – the absolute holiness of the Lord Jesus Christ in contrast to my personal sinful nature. No wonder I expected to die and was convicted of my sin!

That encounter used two very personal aspects of my life to grab my attention, thereby validating the experience as real, not an imaginary one. Even more amazingly, both validations are directly related to the 1st and 2nd Advents!  Thus, they couldn’t fail to enhance my interest in End-Times and which had been launched a few years years earlier by The Invisible Hand (see herein).

The First Advent was the time when Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judea about two thousand years ago. Hence, the four weeks leading into Christmas are designated within the church calendar as Advent, and which start the church year.

The Second Advent is coming soon and is expected to commence in Jerusalem.

First Validation

I inwardly ‘knew’ the heavenly visitor was indeed Jesus, and that the impressive action was a foretaste of his promised return, when He will come in all His power and glory.

The event reminded me of my favourite picture in mother’s Missal, or service book of the Roman Mass.  This gave the content of every Sunday service throughout the year with a diagram symbolising the theme for each service.  As a boy keen on astronomy I’d been fascinated by the picture for First Sunday in Advent. This depicted Jesus standing on the clouds over a burning earth in the midst of sun, moon and falling stars, indicative of events before his Second Advent!

The confirmation referred to above came almost as unusually. On a healing retreat years later, a minister told me God would show me something after lunch. Indeed, after lunch a stranger who’d been seated at my table confided that the Lord told her to show me something she greatly treasured.

christinclouds-lrgIt was a photo taken, it was claimed, from an aircraft over a thunderstorm. When developed, the photo bore an image of Jesus Christ, as though standing within clouds. However, the facial features were hazy, not defined. It was exactly like Jesus in my dream for I had  not seen His face.  (I recall dark, hazy clouds at the foot of the image. This one is published by Bible Probe.)

Upon seeing this photo my legs gave way – I couldn’t stand but fell into a nearby chair! My companion said I went so white she thought I was going to faint or fall.

Yet, just how did a stranger know to show me this photo?  I’d not divulged such a personal dream – she simply said, “It’s the Lord’s doing”.

Second Validation

I was puzzled over the closing element of the dream-event, that is:  upon my reaching towards Jesus’ feet to grasp his robe, it turned into the branch of a Christmas tree!  So, when I tugged, a Christmas tree toppled over and its fairy fell off and onto the floor.

Weird?  Not really, because that spot by the window was where the family Christmas tree used to be erected. It was a corner closely associated with Christmas.

As a devout Catholic, my mother had told me about Jesus from an early age. When I painted pictures I would put a blue stripe at the top of outdoor scenes to represent heaven, as children did. But I’d also draw a Christmas tree in heaven as being Jesus.

Why? Not only had I associated all the wonder of Christmas with his birthday but I also heard an actor  on TV mention his name whilst looking at a small fir tree. So in my childish way I took the actor at his word and would draw Jesus as a Christmas tree.  Hence, the dream changed him to match that image.

At its close, therefore, the dream-event signified the time had come to put away not only childish misconceptions but also all false teachings and replace them with absolute truth – the one who is the Truth in person.

Truly, the most fantastic Christmas present ever – one that’s daily an ever-present encouragement and help in every time of need, no matter how dire. Thank you Lord.

These events started in 1989 and culminated in 1995 with its prime confirmation. Yet more was to come!  Sixteen years later upon revisiting this story for the purposes of this blog, I was surprised by a couple more insights that dropped unbidden into mind. One was tantalising: could the street number of my childhood home (212) possibly be significant in pointing toward the coming year? That is, to 2012!  

Could that notion be true?  Such musing would be confirmed in a fascinating numerical manner at 2012’s first Christian conference we were to attend…Upon our arrival at the venue I was curious about distance driven from home. The car’s odometer was ‘212’ miles!

Third Validation (updated Dec 2013)

Once again, timing proves crucial in presenting another objective confirmation!  Again, had I not been writing about the visitation I would have missed the crucial linkage!

Whilst writing instalments of My Journey Into Freedom I inserted a report on something pertinent that happened at that time in the USA. This came as a ‘new revelatory word’ from the Lord to Revd John Kilpatrick and began at 2:22am. This too, is very interesting on two counts. Numerically, because my birthday falls on a 22nd. Orally, because that word is directly relevant to my dream visitation in referring to the angelic host as well as in closing with Luke 21:28, namely:

But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand.

My mother’s Missal for the First Sunday of Advent is shown below and notice how the scripture on page 69 links into my personal visitation and what pastor John brought.

The key to foretelling the future

This takes us to the time ancient Rome was founded and the first Olympic Games got under way in ancient Greece.  Also, Assyria was poised to conquer the Middle East and become a mighty regional power.

A Hebrew prophet and student of geopolitics, Isaiah, could see conflict approaching and, sure enough, the northern kingdom of Israel, Samaria, fell to Assyria in 721BC. A couple of decades earlier, Isaiah had a profound vision of the glory of The Holy Lord of Heavenly Hosts within His temple (see 6th chapter of The Book of Isaiah).

Not only did Isaiah thus come to hear the Lord and learn of His heart and mind for his own time, but he was also given a revelation into the far distant future of the life and personality of Jesus Christ. This is recorded in the 53rd chapter of the Book of Isaiah within the Bible’s Old Testament.  Prior to that, the Lord Most High had told him:

“For I am God and there is no other, I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand and I shall do all My pleasure’…” (Isaiah 46:9-10 NKJV)

Therein lies the key to foretelling the future.  We’re privileged to learn what The Almighty has determined is to happen because He shared his plans with a select number of ancient sages or prophets over several centuries.

In fact about 50 years earlier, the first of the ‘writing prophets’ had recorded a distinct word about just this at what we know as verse 7 of the third chapter of Amos’ book:

“Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” (NKJV)

Now, allow me to divulge the inspiration behind this posting:

During our online visit this Sunday afternoon to a live service at Church of His Presence in Mobile, Alabama (mid-morning there), we were thrilled by Reverend John Kilpatrick’s sermon.  (To listen, let the video play and as the gray buffer bar progresses click at 52 minutes for the commencement of this pastor’s revelatory teaching.)

John Kilpatrick spoke in a novel way of the parable of the good Samaritan, saying it’s only one of several passages for which the Lord’s given him fresh insights. He said all these can be regarded as ‘foreshadowing the future’ and quoted his scriptural authority for coming to that conclusion lies in Isaiah 46 verses 9-10, as above.  What amazed me, however, was that upon opening my old, well-annotated paperback NIV Insight Bible, I saw those very verses had already been highlighted by me in bright yellow!   

W O W !! 

I just had to conclude, therefore, those verses are especially appropriate for this blog.

Now, let’s return to the future and set or watches forward well over 2600 years to 14th September 1989 at Reading in Berkshire, England for a personal date with destiny.

Why I’m on the lookout

Why? In short: I was told to watch – plus a spectacular event made it personal. Yet why do that? To answer this, and other questions, take a quick trip with me back in time.

Like scrolling page to page on pc, tablet or smartphone brings different images to your own virtual or cyber realm, use your mind’s eye to imagine yourself getting into a ‘time machine’. Are you sitting down? Then let’s go for a spin’…

Off Beyond The Med…

Set your watches (or digital calendars) back by -1,975 years. We head beyond the Eastern Mediterranean’s shore towards the Dead Sea’s deep valley well below sea level. A hill-top city quickly appears wherein we zoom into a large closed room. Here, we find ourselves in the midst of about 120 men and women – Jesus Christ’s original disciples.

We learn that Jesus had commissioned twelve of these men as apostles, or ‘ones sent forth’. He not only authorised but also empowered them to continue His teaching – with miracles – and to establish groups of believers. [See opening chapter of ‘The Acts of the Apostles’ in the Bible’s New Testament.]

Peter had been charged with leading these followers in spreading the ‘good news of Jesus Christ’; i.e. the kingdom of God’s love, as fully demonstrated by Jesus’ life and ministry to the ‘lost’. Their remarkable ‘rabbi’ had told them,

“…You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”. (Acts 1:8 NIV).unt of Jesus’ public ministry.  This will be known as ‘The Gospel According To Mark’.  His account is the earliest of four to be recognised as authentic, inspired by God’s Holy Spirit and, thus, authoritative or canonical.

“But what’s all that to do with this blog?”, you may ask. Let me explain:

Mark, also known as ‘the interpreter of Peter’, wrote what Jesus had privately confided to his very first followers, James and John plus Peter and Andrew, about God’s plans for the near and far future. Jesus gave them the startling promise that He would return in the flesh to reign as ruler of God’s fully established kingdom!

To help you get a handle on this;

If those disciples were our contemporaries and Peter’s eye-witness account were to be published for the first time TODAY, then his story would cover events of less than 40 years ago – that is, since the Falklands War. Now, back to the point:

Jesus told both pairs of brothers that certain events would clearly indicate His return is imminent. Future followers would know, therefore, what to look out for just prior to the bodily return of Messiah (anointed redeemer) Yeshua onto the world stage.  This future event is known as The Second Advent; the First Advent being when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in the Roman province of Judea (see map).

Hence, the four weeks preceding Christmas are designated within the western church calendar as Advent, from Latin ‘adventus’, meaning ‘arrival, approach’, also ‘coming’.  (Read here to learn about the personal relevance of both Advents.)  This year it began on Sunday 28 November 2011.

What’s That To Do With Us?

Apparently, for every prophecy in the Old Testament about Jesus’ birth and life during the Ancient Roman Empire, there are 7 to 8 times as many about His Second Advent – what’s more, it’s increasingly likely to occur in our lifetime!  (I’ll explain elsewhere why this is so.)  Jesus stressed the great importance of that future event. For example, in His instruction to the four who’d been with him from the beginning, as recorded at Mark 13:33-37:

“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming – in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning – lest, coming suddenly, he finds you sleeping! And what I say to you, I say to all, ‘Watch!’.”

That’s why I’m on the lookout – and, believer or not, you’re included in the action!  So, if you don’t know Him yet, I trust that something you may read herein will enable you to recognise, and want to get to know personally, the author of your and my salvation, the Lord of Lords – Jesus Christ.  It’s all about Him!  I wonder, do you know Him yet?

This post, one of my first blogs in November 2011, later featured on the Home page to inform visitors of the acceleration of prophetic fulfillment, as may be inferred from the links to confirmatory events two years later:

As you may have gathered from my Welcome, I’m into eschatology – the theological study of the destiny and judgement of nations and all people, even angels!  You may know it as ‘The Last Days’ or, more popularly, as ‘End-Times’. The origin of this term is in the ancient Hebrew Torah’s description: Acharit Hayamin, ie. ‘Last of the Years’.

Let me take you for a very brief visit into one of my favourite classes where Dr Chuck Missler is asking his students, ‘Why Eschatology?‘

“It is very practical”, he answers himself and explains:

“Apparently, we’re being plunged into a period of time about which the Holy Bible says more than any other period – including the time when Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee!

“Now that’s a preposterous statement – and I challenge you to challenge my statement! To do so you need to do two things:

1  Find out what the Bible itself says about this and – this is a bit harder,

2  Find out what’s really going on – but you won’t get that on the ten o’clock news!

“Fortunately, thanks to the internet, the alternative press and to talk-radio you can do some homework and find out what really is going on. The more you do those two things the more you’ll understand why many scholars are extremely excited about the horizon we’re moving into – because it all deals with the return of Christ to rule earth.

“It really is remarkable how controversial this topic is, but there are:

  • over 1800 references in the Old Testament to this event – 17 Old Testament books give prominence to the event.
  • over 300 references in the New Testament – 216 chapters in 23 of its 27 books give prominence to this primary issue: the return of Jesus to rule on earth.

“You may not believe what the Bible says, but what’s utterly astonishing is that so very many claim to believe in Jesus yet have no grasp of the idea Christ is to literally return and rule!”

I respect Chuck for frequently stressing that we shouldn’t take what he says as ‘Gospel’ but always do a ‘Berean check’ per Acts 17:11; that is, to search the scriptures to find out whether or not his ideas line up with them. Also, I admire his public apology for admitting that, having long taught about an anticipated Middle Eastern war from a certain scriptural stance, he’s gained a better understanding from other passages. As you know how the Lord prompts one, I was greatly encouraged by these responses from fellow readers:

John P informed me of his just-launched blog What On Earth Will Happen Next? which I recommend you to visit too.

Upon receipt of my mail, Neil Mc had just finished the second part of his comments upon Replacement Theology for the End-Times course at WinVin and he replied: “God is certainly bringing this subject to the fore! I strongly believe that time is short and, as you say, the ground is being prepared.”  His comments upon RT open with wise words:

Some caution and tentativeness is advisable as there are varying opinions and interpretations: we do well to remember, in humility, that God has set limits to our knowledge and understanding. Claiming absolute certainty in any explanation of puzzling aspects of scripture, or of unfulfilled biblical prophecy, is risky! Suffice it to say, we should keep an open mind, read scripture with integrity and in context and, wherever possible, adopt a literal interpretation in preference to dynamic equivalence….

Also, a couple of weeks ago I took Nina to a packed Woman To Woman conference in East London. (Public transport was non-existent in view of work-in-hand for Olympics!) Afterwards, Nina excitedly told me most of what happened as 3000 ‘spell-bound’ ladies listened to Billy Graham’s daughter, Anne Graham-Lotz.

She spoke in depth explaining why the End-Times are upon us. To paraphrase in summary;

“I know a lot of you are scoffing, but I don’t care – it’s all there in the Bible and that’s good enough for me. Just watch what’s happening and check it out in your Bible”.

Scales fell off their eyes.

SO MUCH of what Anne said was anointed by the Holy Spirit that Nina kept being fired up by Him as though getting mild electric shocks! Most of her message was given in her oft-repeated ‘WAKE UP!’ call which is usually available on line during conferences such as May’s Epicentre Conference jointly hosted with Joel Rosenberg (see video overview)

Today, Wednesday, I got a newspaper for once:

one top-headline reads Eurozone talks break down as Merkel rejects rescue deal and the inside business paper puts it, Markets dive aid eurozone chaos

On Monday, Reuters’ item Vatican calls for global authority on economy gave a well edited, concise report about its Justice and Peace Department’s proposal. .

Here are a few points from that summary:

“The Vatican called on Monday for sweeping reforms of the world economy and the creation of a ethical, global authority to regulate financial markets as demonstrations against corporate greed continued to spring up in major cities across the globe…

  • The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence,” said the Vatican document…
  • The Vatican called for the establishment of “a supranational authority” with worldwide scope and “universal jurisdiction” to guide economic policies and decisions. Such an authority should start with the United Nations as its reference point but later become independent and be endowed with the power to see to it that developed countries were not allowed to wield “excessive power over the weaker countries”…

Most laudable as all this may be, particular points under sub-head Effective Structures are illuminating:

One section of the document explained why the Vatican felt the reform of the global economy was necessary and called for specific reforms such as taxation of financial transactions.

  • In economic and financial matters, the most significant difficulties come from the lack of an effective set of structures that can guarantee, in addition to a system of governance, a system of government for the economy and international finance,” it said…
  • In fact, one can see an emerging requirement for a body that will carry out the functions of a kind of ‘central world bank’ that regulates the flow and system of monetary exchanges similar to the national central banks,” it said.  The document acknowledged that such change would take years to put into place and was bound to encounter resistance.
  • Of course, this transformation will be made at the cost of a gradual, balanced transfer of a part of each nation’s powers to a world authority and to regional authorities, but this is necessary at a time when the dynamism of human society and the economy and the progress of technology are transcending borders, which are in fact already very eroded in a globalised world…”

And Sunday saw an item headed New euro ‘empire’ plot by Brussels about the European Council president’s plan for a new ‘United States of Europe” with a single Treasury based in either Frankfurt or Paris!

Recalling the explanation Daniel was given for his visions, and Jesus’ prophetic words as well as the revelation Father gave to Him (Rev 1.1), we recognise what may be indicated in those proposals together with current events – Is this combination a unique confluence of religious and political purposes moving towards the same goal?

“The Vatican jumps right into the one-world economy with a statement that is right out of an end-times prophecy book! What truly amazing times we are living. The pope is calling for a new economic order with a central world bank based on fairness and honesty!!!“

A Brief Refresher

I like his retrospective treatment of scripture,. He writes as though were already in the Lord’s Millenium reign and, like a TV news commentator report’s upon what’s already happened; but, as ever, I take remarks concerning the Rapture carefully.

For example, Leaser omits to mention that Paul states the great apostasy within the Church, which is already under way, will definitely precede the appearance of the ‘Son of Perdition’.  Both those events and  the stupendously terrifying miracle of the worldwide resurrection of deceased believers would occur before our being ‘snatched’ upwards.  (1Thess 4.15 & 2Thess 2.3).

Matt closes with Luke 21.28, which is personally pertinent for its relevance to Jesus rescuing me:

When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

Breaking news on Ezekiel 38 alliance

FASCINATING how the Bible continues to be relevant for today!

If you’re familiar with Ezekiel 38 then maybe you’ve wondered if it relates to current events and what would come out of the melting pot – maybe the outcome would be different to what the holy prophet wrote? This could be inferred from the recent change in Turkey’s position regarding Israel, but there’s a good likelihood that’s only a temporary expedient in view of the existing close ties to Iran.

Meanwhile, Iran’s been secretly beavering away to produce nuclear weapons, as you may recall from William Hague’s announcement a fortnight ago. Here’s what DebkaFile wrote about Russian involvement, and gave our gov’t some credit:

Conspiracy Of Silence Over Four Iranian Nuclear-Capable Missile Tests

In early October 2010, Russian intelligence learned that Iran was about to begin test launches of missiles for carrying nuclear warheads. They reported this to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. He then took three steps: He conveyed the information to US President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and bound them to secrecy. With their pledges in hand, he used backdoor intelligence channels to persuade Tehran to refrain from bragging about its dramatic progress and keep the tests of the nuclear-capable missiles quiet in order to avert a world outcry against the violation of all their international commitments.

The Iranians bought the deal. In this way, the Russian leader raised a wall of silence around Iran’s advances towards ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads and pre-empted condemnations, Security Council action, and other forms of American, European and Israeli action for keeping a nuclear bomb out of Iranian hands. This was the last straw – at least for the British government. Hague, in consultation with Prime Minister David Cameron, went public about what Iran was really up to with a statement to parliament.

Russia Lays Out ‘Step-By-Step’ Approach On Iran – WASHINGTON, July 13 (Reuters) – Russia on Wednesday laid out a “step-by-step” approach under which Iran could address questions about its nuclear program and be rewarded with a gradual easing of sanctions…The target is to hold the talks in Moscow the week of July 25, said a US official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Isn’t it fascinating that all four participants of the Ezekiel 38 alliance are intimately and concurrently involved in scripturally significant events?

Are the prophesied pieces of an ‘invisible jigsaw’ beginning to fall into place?

YET far better is the wonderful news of the Lord appearing to many in these areas, particularly in Turkey AND IRAN…more on this another time.

Hold on, back to square one? Well not quite…

Despite relatively welcome news in last weeks’ update, whilst tapping out its close I had reservations over the long-term likelihood of matters improving between Turkey and Israel. This is because the Ezekiel 38 alliance is not ancient but modern, as may be inferred from activities between Russia, Iran, Libya and Turkey. The last, with Syria, embraces the region of the ancient peoples of Meshech, Tubal, Gomer and Togmarah….

Now, Turkey’s PM Erdogan has stopped the reconciliation because the UN inquiry into those events has ruled favourably upon the legality of Israel’s blockade…Recriminations ensued but Western diplomats believe this won’t stop the two countries working together. Perhaps because Nicolas Sarkozy and Barack Obama are hoping to pull off an Israeli-Palestinian summit in Paris for 2nd Sept? Revival: 1 – glory stories

“Holy, Holy, Holy are you Lord,
Heaven and earth are filled with Your glory,
Holy Holy, Holy is Your Name,
Exalted upon the praise of Your people.”

So runs the chorus of Lydia Stanley’s song Holy Are You Lord – listen here – it’s one of several inspired by Holy Spirit since last July (2010) for her to lead hours of fire-filled worship at The Bay Revival, Alabama.

Psalm 22 v 3 proclaims, ‘You are holy, enthroned upon the praises of Israel…’ and thus, the Lord’s Presence can be sensed, even becomes tangible, and people hear Him more easily, are saved, healed and delivered – in such a sacred atmosphere, with anointed leading and prophetic preaching, miracles often occur.

You may recall my reference to evangelist Nathan Morris having a word from Alabama for revival in the UK? So a few ‘glory stories’ may inspire and encourage you:

First, on a personal note, I’ve been in a fascinating flow from the Lord since an ‘inter-stream’ conference in Winchester in March. During opening worship I sensed the Lord wanted me to focus upon the eventual new earth and new heavens, especially the appearance from heaven of The New Jerusalem and I had a flash picture of a lion’s head.

Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband…(Rev 21:2 NKJV)

Then one of the seven angels…talked with me, saying, “Come I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife”. And he carried me away to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone…(Rev 21:9-11 NKJV)

Over the last year or so a couple of scriptures had come whilst in Bath, but now the context became clear. Also, the Lord’s saying He’s let me see a couple of childhood desires He implanted have been fulfilled: to see miracles of healing and receive Jesus close teaching, and to be in and understand the times of His return – but now focus upon His ultimate aim (Revelation 21-22), and beyond the Bible’s cover!

Then in the first session Stuart of Catch The Fire, Wembley mentioned,

“There is so much happening in the Kingdom of God at the moment…we’re seeing Him move again and again and again…We’ve just seen a massive increase in the supernatural – not because of ministry but because God is moving – ‘Aslan’ is on the move!”

He went on to describe seeing the breath of God blow away demons that had attached themselves to someone they were praying for. This one didn’t need in-depth ministry sessions, valid as that is, but God simply blew – like the mighty protective and possessive roar of a lion over its young! Stuart said, “It’s like the Lion of Judah puts His paw on you and says, ‘Mine, Mine – you are Mine!’ and roars at anything that would threaten you.” With Chloe, his wife, teaching followed upon their theme: full meaning of Sonship in the Kingdom

Also that month, Bill of Blandford wrote me as follows:

God is awesome! Only last evening I was testifying to standing in awe as again Abba God brought deliverance to His beloved children. I was sharing ministry to bring freedom to some people with ancestral masonry. We saw His mighty deliverance set them free from chains of deception. What He desires and delivers to the one or two, He will do for the many. I stand in awe right now as day after day we see and hear prophecy unfolding… (Thank you Bill)

Here’s another – Over dinner in Zizzi’s, Russ of Farnham said he was at The Potter’s House, Stoke-on-Trent and heard intriguing accounts of unbelieving youngsters turning up because God had come to them in the night and told them to get there!

There, the first thing I put my hands on at a partners’ day was a book featuring chapters on the new earth and new heaven! >>

Then Liz, leader of prophetic ministry, followed straight on from and augmented what Stuart and Chloe had taught >>>

Also, Richard mentioned about a recent Secret Place conference in Dudley and I knew to get the downloads quickly >>>>

So, in those recordings I heard Paul Keith Davies delve deeply into teaching upon the Sonship-Bridal paradigm….(more here)

Re: ‘Revelation on Israel’ prayer request

Thank you v much indeed Martin for my early morning post!  Is this be why I’ve been ‘buzzing’ in meditation upon the Lord for the last couple of hours – and most unusually having 6.30am coffee whilst getting it into writing on pc. [Click to read his email to me.] 

Your mail is most timely and, “YES, yes, bang on!”.  In view of its importance I’ll draw attention of friends interested in Israel to it.

Of the whole 12 pages of Friday’s Koenig’s Eye View From the White House only the following ‘Top News’ unexpectedly struck me hard:

“This week had some very revealing statements that Bible believers fully under-stand have biblical significance in Israel and the Middle East. The follow news excerpts reveal that:

European countries want UN, not US, to advance Mideast peace talks (Ha’aretz article)

Britain, France and Germany would like the United Nations and European Union to co-author an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, say diplomats…”

My immediate reaction was that this is not only another clear indicator of the US’ rapidly diminishing global role but also, and far more importantly, is directly relevant to the Daniel 7 end-time vision.  Experts think the fourth beast Daniel saw is the ancient Roman Empire brought back to life as the European Union, as suggested by Rev 13:3.  Its three horns that get extracted – and thus rendered powerless!! – and replaced by the pompous little horn would be Britain, France and Germany! (Dan 7:8 & 24)

Also, the email and this news are confirmed by this Debka exclusive report of yesterday headed:  

“America’s exit from Libya ends coalition no-fly zone, military campaign.

“The United States has quietly withdrawn its air and sea assets from Libya and virtually ended its military intervention against Muammar Qaddafi’s armed forces. This action over the weekend exposed NATO and its leading powers Britain and France as badly short of the air and sea capabilities necessary for halting Muammar Qaddafi’s military advances, enforcing a no fly zone over the territory he controls or maintaining a sea blockade on Libyan ports….” [see http://www.debka.com/article/20815/] 

My first thoughts upon our leaders’ reaction over Libya were they don’t know what they are getting us into just because we need oil supplies if and when Iran freezes/seizes all supply routes from Arabia and Gulf – AND we can’t expect Libya’s alliance with Iran, Turkey and Russia to change as it’s already been announced in holy scripture. Did you notice how shambolic were the attempts to rescue our own people? – Messrs Cameron, Clegg and Hague each got egg of their faces!  In my opinion that was their just desserts for having ‘excoriated’ Israel over the ‘prison camp’ of Gaza and for blocking the Turkish flotilla.  Oh I forgot, they didn’t experience the Blitz in London 70yrs ago!

Update to…Change The World?

Friends – did a prophetic word pop into my previous mailing? (Also with some intriguing ‘synchronicity’, as below!)  Previously, after having written on a scripture, I didn’t know what to put and thought, “You know all about it Lord, so over to you”. Hence my wording below (now in red).

TODAY, scriptural confirmation has come via John McTernan, with full explanation! Please see today’s posting Elam/Iran in The Latter-Days – it’s engrossing reading, as is his second item Islam vs The Bible.

My previous was relatively brief to avoid taking up a lot of your time. That meant omitting many details, one of which is the reason for the pundits’ alarm. There had been talk of an imperative strike to take out the nuclear reactor. But that had to be executed before it went live to avoid woeful repercussions, as in the ‘Chernobyl incident’. [Over 600 fires in Russia have resurrected the radioactive perils arising from many nuclear incidents – see report.]

The reactor at Bushehr has become operational. On the previous day, Iran test-fired its latest missile (the words “Ya Mahdi” written on its side!), the US ‘reassured’ (!!) Israel that Iran is still a year away from making an atom bomb, and announced the resumption of Israel-Palestinian peace talks. (Debka, however, reported sources close to President Abbas quoted him as saying direct talks were not in the offering because a “big military surprise awaits the Middle East”!!  It’s known that all four armies in the region are on a full war-footing.) Furthermore, Israel’s hands were tied by a secret US-Russian deal!! [Debka report].

SO, presumably Obama thinks he must do something to earn that fatuous Noble Peace Prize endowed at the start of his office! BUT he’s thus tied USA into the Gog-Magog alliance of Russia, Iran, Turkey & Syria, (Ezekiel 38 refers) thereby fully confirming his own anti-Israel stance. (We can draw our own conclusions about the consequences for USA.)

AND HOW VERY INTERESTING that the question of Obama’s being a Moslem has blown up just in time for all these events! (You may recall my reservations on his professed Christianity in view of his Cairo speech and deliberate championing of ‘gay pride’?) The White House say his Christian belief is obvious – some pastors agree – BUT, whether Christian or Moslem, he ignores God’s holy word and His commands – YET, now his administration is turning America away from God and taking it back to ‘the days of Noah and Lot’, perhaps the Lord may be using Obama to bring about His purposes?

Do I sense pieces of the Lord’s biblical ‘jigsaw puzzle’ falling into place? (At this very moment, as I write, my PC radio plays ‘Dies Irae’ (Day of Wrath) from Verdi’s Requiem Mass!! Now is that just coincidence or God-incidence? I’d stopped writing to get a coffee and share my thoughts with Nina before resuming with fresh idea about jigsaw. Had that not happened there’d have been no synchonicity – so I’m awestruck!)

Stark events this weekend in the Middle East are very likely to mark a turning point in world history. Consider this from John McTernan:

Russian President Putin has caught the West off-balance by announcing that Iran’s first nuclear reactor at Bushehr will be loaded with fuel rods this Saturday, way ahead of the proposed schedule that’s part of UN discussions. [Debka report.]

Once that happens the balance of power in the region tilts completely as all Sunni Muslim States in Persian Gulf will have to turn away from a weak USA and kowtow to an extremist Shiite regime – ONE THAT HAS THREATENED TO ANNHILATE ISRAEL and will have the ability to carry out its intentions and achieve Hitler’s goal far more efficiently and effectively. Both Iran’s President and supreme spiritual leader anticipate an apocalyptic war heralding the appearance of their crescent-moon god’s Mahdi (accompanied by Jesus!) and bringing peace to a world that’s come into the ‘house of submission’.

The good thing about this is that all the rational Sunni Arab leaders are wanting America and/or Israel to take out the facilities (as they did with Iraq’s and Syria’s reactors). But Israel would have to go it alone as Obama wouldn’t commit to action. Debka’s sources report an Iranian phantom fighter and unidentified drones crashing nearby and into the reactor buildings.

Scripture instructs us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem – and that democracy’s leaders need the wisdom of the Lord. Yet perhaps He may take alternative means of action to thwart the maniacs…?

Regarding all this, may I bounce the following off you?

I recall a speaker saying satan is attempting to bring forward End-Time events in order to nullify God’s schedule and thereby wrong-foot God. His logic, perhaps, is to avoid his demise in the Lake of Fire? The revelation Jesus received from God and which He gave to John states that will happen after He returns and defeats satan. Prophecy points to this being centred on Jerusalem and the Jews will at last recognise Jesus as their true messiah.

The obvious way out of this scenario is to ensure there are no Jews whatso-ever left alive for Jesus to come back for and, if Jerusalem is still standing, then it’s population should be followers of a false god. Indeed, Hasan Nasrallah, head of Hezbollah (Party of God!), wants all Jews to come to Israel because that makes it so much easier to despatch them in one fell swoop!! [Hezbollah in Lebanon serves as Iran’s proxy terrorists and is a large part of the Lebanese army.]

NOT IF, BUT WHEN, Iran goes nuclear then the world faces a completely different ballgame. AND with America’s leader…having outraged most Americans over a mosque planned close by the war-cemetry of Ground Zero, then Israel is on its own.

It’s so good to be on the winning side! May the Lord of the Harvest help us quickly bring in ‘the full number of gentiles’.

A report just in quotes president “A-madman-jihad” as vowing to “teach the Israelis a lesson” by sending Iranian warships and submarines with Turkey’s next attempt to break the Gaza blockade (see details).

I can understand your not having time to visit links in previous messages – but I humbly submit that this one is instructive. How so? Simply because almost all our highly biased media will omit the necessary explanations and jump on ‘bigots’ bandwagon’.

Caroline Glick, ‘ne plus ultra’ of commentators on Israel & Middle-East according to our Christian analyst at The White House (ie. William Koenig), writes:

 “Our times are times of Jew hatred. Our times are times where hatred breeds strategic madness (my emphases). Our times are times when we need to recall basic truths about Israel and the Jewish people.” [see The Plain Truth About Israel]

One of our own lady journalists, Melanie Phillips, is well aware of the censorship imposed by ‘cultural totalitarianism’ – see Middle East Forum article.

CLEARLY, the time is almost upon us for us to see the Lord once again fight for his Jewish people, now they’re in the land He promised – especially now that the WHOLE WORLD including UK HAS GANGED UP AGAINST THEM – AND Israel’s military seems to have inexplicably become incompetent !

Let’s recall God’s promise:

“I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling…On that day when all nations of the earth are gathered against her (as in the UN?) I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to (re)move it will injure themselves…” (Zach 12:2-3)

Perhaps He will do this by fulfilling the prophecy He gave against Gaza (ie Philistia) – Ezek 25:15-17 is well worth a personal perusal !!  Maybe that scripture’s fulfillment will also answer Psalm 83?

v1  O God do not keep silent, be not quiet, O God be not still.
v2  See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads.
v3  With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.
v4  “Come” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more”.

v18 Let them know that you alone are the Most High over all the earth. Amen Lord, answer again.

Dear Friends,

Buried beneath the daily dross of parliamentary piracy and ‘privilege-to-pilfer’ are momentous events concerning the Holy Land. I’ve kept close tabs with those who monitor Middle-Eastern machinations and watched a maelstrom gather momentum over the months.

Altho’ our gaze as believers is toward heavenly Jerusalem, it’s right not to overlook our God of Israel’s heart for actual Jerusalem and His covenant people. His intention and warning to the nations given through Zechariah (ch 12) still apply – and Ezekiel 38 opposition is moving into alliances. Hence, the world’s continual concern with Jerusalem and Israel.

Today, that storm comes to a climax as Prime Minister Netanyahu meets President Obama to discuss the latter’s 2-state solution for the Middle-East.

You may know that this involved attempts to turn the Arab world and Europe against Israel, and to appease Iran – even to ‘blackmailing’ Israel over its nuclear defence! (It’s reported Obama wanted to be able to use Iran’s territory for supplying US troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan.)

Also, there’s been dismay in Cairo and Riyadh over his courting the terrorist mentors in Teheran. No wonder Egypt and S.Arabia – both kept militarily informed by Israel – and five Gulf emirates turned a deaf ear to Pres. Obama’s secret (and 3rd) delegation seeking hundreds of billions dollars investment in US and global economic stimulus plans! It’s reported, however, that over the weekend a political furore gripped Washington and frayed Obama’s key policies.

The Bush and Obama administrations’ misguided intentions are to establish a terrorist-run nation within the ancient home-land of Judea/Israel. The consequences for USA in betraying its ally Israel could be severe, as when Bush wanted to trade land for peace (as collated by the accredited White House correspondent Wm Koenig). The Lord gave detailed warnings of judgement in Nov ’99 which included not only last year’s collapse of stocks but also the betrayal of Israel by Western allies!

Last week’s papal visit to the Holy Land may result in UN military units (ie. ‘armies of the nations’) in and around Jerusalem. Koenig has also noted that papal pronouncements contrary to God’s purposes for His Land have soon been followed by revelations of sexual scandal within the Roman hierarchy – so wait and watch.

United Kingdom

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter days…terrible times will come…” wrote Paul to disciple Timothy. The second letter gave many explicit details, all of which are now common-place – ie. the prophecy is fulfilled in its entirety today!

Could Paul’s reference to the prevention of marriage (at 1Tim4:3) be construed as also meaning any kind of alteration to this God-ordained covenant?

Hence, how entirely appropriate that those who’ve deliberately spurned His requirements and commands in making our laws are themselves now being turned upside down. And, as indicated in Hebrews 12:23-27 could we not expect lots more shaking? Could that visionary map I saw being ripped apart be the political map of England? I wonder…

Let’s remember Psalm 122 instruction, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper who love you…”, that we may earnestly seek its welfare.
