I’ve just come back from Russia. The last time I was there – 35 years ago – was when I became a Bible smuggler, and got caught by the KGB.
Two KGB majors ran the interrogation. They threatened to have me tried as a bullion smuggler (I’d failed to declare that a gold ring I was wearing was imported bullion). When I was found guilty, the sentence would be 20 years in the labour camp in Siberia, they said. In exchange for not prosecuting, they wanted the names of the contacts I was taking the Bibles to.
I survived the questioning, they didn’t get the names and I lived to tell the tale.
But why did I (and others) smuggle Bibles?

Update on the silencing of Big Ben’s bongs

On Friday I read this brief report by Christopher Hope, chief political correspondent of the Telegraph under the headline:

Big Ben could chime again in ‘silence of the bongs’ rethink

‘Under health and safety rules, the 13-ton bell is being taken out of action to protect the hearing of construction workers on site…’

‘Ms Leadsom was challenged in the House of Commons whether it was “beyond the wit of man silencers to be worn” by workers near the Great Bell. 

‘The Cabinet minister replied that she recognised there were “strong views” about the silencing of Big Ben. She added: “It is a very important issue. The House’s Commission met last night and agreed to the cessation for the bells for the time being but also to look at whether there are other alternatives to leaving the bells off.”…’ (read in full here).

Walking home with today’s Daily Telegraph  in hand I spotted this ‘stop-press’ News Briefing down its left-hand side.

Instantly, I’m amused at how the linkage in our spiritual and political lives, as blogged earlier, is now showing synchronicity in the troubles our Prime Minister and the US President are both having with their own people, not the public.

We can discern the ‘devil’ in the detail – and it’s being especially provocative over the essence of our ‘Englishness’ – the law of the land based upon Magna Carta versus European Court of Justice.

Ours presumes ‘innocent until proven guilty’ out of which grew a globally-championed Common Law.  But European-Napoleonic law is different, as Dave Chapman highlights in his briefing paper EU – There is an Alternative.

Moreover, in my musing over the possibility of that devil doing a double-trial run in both the established church and our secular government for the purpose of testing out if it could circumvent the fulfillment of prophetic scripture, I cited two Parliamentarians as its unwitting ‘stooges’. One of these is Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, whom I saw almost trip over himself to grovel at Obama during his state visit!

He is the one responsible for silencing Big Ben!

A previous project manager and a director of the company maintaining the clock’s functioning have attested there’s no need whatsoever to stop it chiming during any building works. A Telegraph editorial Speaker Bercow is mistaken to play games with Big Ben comments:

‘…if the two Parliamentary committees whose job is to oversee the administration of the Palace of Westminster were unaware of the full implications of the work, who took it upon themselves to proceed?

‘Once again the finger points to Speaker Bercow, who is apparently digging in his heels and insisting that the plan must go ahead. It is extraordinary that the ringing of Big Ben is turning into a power battle between the Speaker and his critics in the Commons. This is something that could be sorted out with a modicum of common sense and a willingness to compromise. The nation waits to see whether Mr Bercow possesses the former or is capable of the latter, as befits the holder of his great office.’

Therefore, it will be astonishing if and when something supernatural happens with our iconic clock to gain the world’s attention, as claimed by Charles Shamp in what he’d heard from the Lord (Keep your eyes on Big Ben). OR, perhaps that stoppage is part of what is meant…:

“My eye is upon this land and my hand upon the nation’s time, a kairos moment is about to come! I will cause a sign to come from Big Ben that will mark the moment that I have changed the time and season for the nation of England and the city of London. Everything will stop and people will turn to see and hear. Tell my people to mark the moment when it comes to pass for it will be sign of great change in the land.”

Let’s pray there will be a specific action that’s unmistakably of our Almighty God.

To ‘bong’ or not to ‘bong’? That’s the Big Ben question as the nation waits…

August is renowned as the ‘silly season’ for odd and weird stories because of the holiday period’s dearth of normal, newsworthy events. Yesterday’s banner headline shown below seems simply part of that season because of the Health & Safety aspects – but that belies the status of a significant symbol of our nation’s identity.

The disruption of our famous clock’s mechanism strikes at our heart but not necessarily for the reasons stated in the Telegraph, its editorial and news of MPs’ anger at being kept in the dark over details of the proposed work!  [Today: Theresa May says “It can’t be right for Big Ben to be silenced for four years”.]

Regular readers of this blog are well aware not only of Big Ben’s symbolic importance but also and more especially of the many words and dreams about it at the prophetical ‘midnight hour’. So whatever the outcome of the present rumpus, it won’t surprise the Lord for He could be in the discussions and use them to bring about His purposes, or else work around them to achieve His sovereign will for Britain, thereby getting us fully ‘in sync’ with His will. (As in the word for 2014-16 brought by Revd Dr Sharon Stone in her ‘Clarion Call’.)

Tuesday 15 August ‘Final’ morning broadsheet edition (tap for digital version)

It wasn’t until later yesterday that I caught up with news and activity on this blog and was very pleased to notice a number of past posts had shot into the popular posts listing. So, I stuck them temporarily to the home page for quick reference and now replace them with this post.

A summary of some points which may be applicable should thus prove useful:

  • R Piercey 2016-17 – “…Interesting in view of the picture I received some years ago of the Lion of Judah hovering over Big Ben; his huge paw was about to hit the clock face, where the hands pointed at 2 minutes to midnight. (I somehow knew it was midnight rather than midday).” …I believe it’s now important to share more widely what Rosemary added. Upon phoning for permission to publish today she responded without any hesitation, “Absolutely! now’s the time!”…“A few notes on the picture that hit me this morning. Someone whose opinion I value gave me a word a few weeks ago that I was a General in the King’s army; this morning I was led to read the story of Gideon again, and was reminded of his requests from God for signs. I then asked the Lord for a sign that would confirm whether or not the “General” word was true. After a short time a very vivid picture came to me of a huge bowl suspended on 3 chains above the Houses of Parliament; the bowl swung in the winds of secularism and resulting godless laws. I felt the Lord saying that this was a bowl of his wrath, which of course is a recurrent theme in the Bible – bowl, cup etc. This is not to negate in any way the positive prophecies we are receiving; many of us know that the spiritual atmosphere has changed, and we are seeing remarkable answers to prayer in our country. Nevertheless we are also called to repent, especially for what has happened in the churches, and I feel a huge urgency for this; we are in danger of losing the blessings if we are simply going to rest on the blessings. This is vitally important and I feel there is no time to lose; the bowl is tipping, and we could feel the results at any time.”
  • RB/TPuccio, Feb 2017 – ‘Today, as I prepare this compilation I draw Tony’s attention to Rosemary’s reminder on the previous blog of her picture of Big Ben and he asks for my ‘take’ on this and “What’s the Lord saying to you?” Well I didn’t have time to even think and ask Him, but was just running with my spirit’s ‘gut instinct’ as a ‘joiner of prophetic dots’ (as Glasgow calls me). So I reply that I’m busy compiling this account and will seek Him later – BUT then get a quick nudge to add, “‘…immediate thought as I type is, “It’s warning of the Lord’s Return!” ie. not long now! Tony replies, “Indeed! It would seem that the midnight hour is upon us.”
  • T Puccio March 2017 – “I had another dream about Big Ben only this time I saw it arise from the clock face on the ground to  its original height, perhaps even taller. I remember hearing it bonging, however, it did not cease as one would have expected when it had chimed the hour of the day but was a continual bonging. Then I saw people in beds asleep and I perceived that the bonging was to awaken from slumber those who were sleeping.’  
  • C Shamp June 2017 – Keep your eyes upon Big Ben something supernatural is about to be seen. As I was praying today I was taken to Big Ben in London, England. I heard the Lord say, “My eye is upon this land and my hand upon the nation’s time, a kairos moment is about to come! I will cause a sign to come from Big Ben that will mark the moment that I have changed the time and season for the nation of England and the city of London. Everything will stop and people will turn to see and hear. Tell my people to mark the moment when it comes to pass for it will be sign of great change in the land.”

Let us take all those words received and delivered to the Lord in prayer and wait upon Him.

Lastly, it’s particularly fascinating the change in the clock’s chiming set for 21st August is one month to the day before Rosh Hashana, the ‘head of year’ for Jewish New Year 5778, with its unconnected relevance to Biblical End-times prophesied in  1 Thess 5:3 – ‘(The Day of the Lord will come…) while people are saying “Peace and Safety”…!!

Vision and report of change in N Korea’s president and people

We have a couple of encouraging developments relating to the major prophetic words of last January and April and a recent vision of North Korea’s president Kim Jon-ung.

First, the Telegraph’s report Kim-Jon-ung ‘no longer seen as god’ as worshiping North Koreans ‘place their faith elsewhere’.:

The extremely harsh treatment meted out to anyone practising anything other than the state’s form of communism and deification of its presidents has been confirmed by a defector who’s since become a member of the Seoul-based Worldwide Coalition to Stop Genocide in North Korea. According to the report,

 “Officially sanctioned persecution of people for religious reasons is still there and, I would say, even stronger than before”. But subtle changes are slowly becoming visible, said the defector, who declined to be named as he is active in assisting underground churches operating in the North.

“In the past, the people were told to worship the Kim family as their god, but many North Koreans no longer respect Kim Jong-un”, he said. “That means they are looking for something else to sustain their faith.

 “In some places, that has led to the emergence of shamens, but the Christian church is also growing and deepening its roots there”, he said.

“Even though people know they could be sent to prison – or worse – they are still choosing to worship, and that means that more cracks are appearing in the regime and the system”, he added.

Secondly, a Nebuchadnezzar-type vision and prophetic word on Kim Jong-ung and featuring two prominent Christians is recounted by Veronica West on 11 August.

The two seen praying with him are Bill Johnson of Bethel California and South African Rodney Howard-Browne.

Fulfilled prophecies #10 & #13: a 6th time! – corruption in and fall of the EU

It’s time to remind ourselves of a couple of prophetic words of the many on the EU and Brexit and realise they continue to show the Lord’s hand at work in their fulfillment.

First, the awesome warning David Noakes delivered in November 2015 urging us to leave the EU (see UK/EU in/out #4). I’ve emphasised the more pertinent phrases:

“Nation of Britain, I have loved you with a love which has not ceased, despite the state of apostasy and degradation into which you have fallen. My anger towards those church leaders who have taught false things in my Name, and encouraged others to believe and act as they do, is intense and my judgment upon them will be severe. Yet I have compassion upon those who have been like sheep without godly shepherds; and my heart still longs to exercise mercy upon a nation whose forefathers upheld my Name and took my Word to the ends of the earth; a nation whose belief in the truth of my Word framed godly laws and inspired a culture of uprightness.

“Rather than rely on Me and my faithfulness to you, you chose, for worldly purposes, to join yourself to an institution which has denied my Name and refused to acknowledge Me in its councils. My fierce anger is upon that institution on account of its rebellion, its defiant rejection of me and its hardness of heart towards my ancient people Israel.

“I warn you now that the European institution will not repent, even though I bring disaster and destruction upon it. I urge you, O Britain still beloved by Me for the sake of your godly forefathers, come out of her, so that you may not be caught up in that same destruction, for I am even now arising in judgment to bring to nothing what she has sought to achieve. If you will separate yourself from her declared rejection of God, I will have mercy upon you and restore my hand of protection; and I will use you once again to bring light to many lost in the darkness which is now steadily increasing.

“Hear Me, O once godly nation and respond to my call, or you also will come to ruin in that same judgment of destruction. This is not my will for you, but you must choose the course which you will take. I urge you to respond to Me and choose life under my hand of discipline and protection, rather than death in the disaster which is even now coming upon Europe.”

Then in May 2016 in mulling over events I asked Is The Lord Exposing Rotten Politics? First UK, then USA – next EU??  It proved to be a ‘semi-conscious’ prophecy.

Both words quickly came into play, as in Fulfilled Prophecies #13 and #10 respectively – and more soon manifested (here, here and here). We now have yet another fulfillment – the 6th!!

Readers interested in Brexit may have kept abreast of developments regularly reported on Jonathan Ely’s excellent Facebook resource, Why Leave EU? There you’ll have noticed Poland’s objections to EU judicial reforms (Tusk threatens to kick Poland out of EU) and that Spain closes its border with Africa because the EU’s failure to stem the mass influx of migrants.  Also, Poland and Hungary form new eastern bloc ‘in bid to OVERTHROW Brussels‘ and professor Martin Goodwin claims President of European Commission ‘Junker is deeply worried’ Brussels is crumbling and EU is panicking.

And today’s Telegraph banner headline emblazoned across its wide front-page reads (tap/click for link), EU chiefs in expenses scandal.

The broadsheet’s inside double-page spread ‘How the EU tried to hide £500,000 bill for two months’ travel’ asks how much did each of the 28 Commissioners spend on travel? Deputy political editor Steve Swinford’s report opens by referring to an executive director of Access Info Europe’s attempt to show journalists from Eastern Europe and the Balkans about the availability of EU information,

‘When campaigners first asked the European Commission for details about the travel expense claims of the 28 commissioners in May 2014, they thought it would be a straightforward matter. “They told me (Helen Darbishire) they couldn’t give me the information because it was a question of privacy and cost. I was totally shocked”.

‘Three years and more than 190 requests for information later, the EU has finally relented and agreed to publish the data – two months worth from 2016…’

That’s just relating to travel over a short period – what about other expenses at other times? Also, it’s failed to produce properly audited accounts for far too many years – [PS: ‘the European Court of Auditors have refused to sign off the bloc’s accounts for over 20 years due to continued “material level of irregularity”!‘ – Asa Bennett.]

This new exposure is absolutely no surprise in view of the EU’s lack of accountability to the people it purports to represent – which is one reason why sensible Britons voted to get out!

I cannot but conclude this exposure is a part of the Lord’s judgement against the EU.

‘Cranmer’ clarifies on PM May ‘instructing’ C of E on marriage

Cranmer succinctly deals with the ‘fake news’ delirium by correctly quoting the source of such claims in Theresa May did not instruct C of E to allow gay marriage.:

‘…Do you see a ‘should’, a ‘must’ or an ‘ought’ in there regarding the future of gay marriage or blessing? “This has to be a matter for the Church,” the Prime Minister said. Could she have been any clearer? Has her position on this not been utterly consistent? “I strongly support equal marriage, and I know that these debates will continue, but it will have to be for the church as a whole to decide if it wants to make a change to its canon law,” she said only a few months ago. The church as a whole: Theresa May has absolutely no intention of forcing the Church of England to perform gay marriage (or blessing), and absolutely no desire to lecture it in the way it should go….’

Welcome News: three Christian street preachers acquitted

Christian Concern brings news of a third street preacher’s acquittal of all charges by the police against him under public order offences!

A week ago two others were acquitted of their previous conviction after an appeal (see my blog of Judge decides which parts of the Bible can and cannot be preached!), as announced in:

The Arrest, Abuse and Acquittal of Three Street Preachers

‘Christian evangelists Mike Overd, Adrian Clark and Michael Stockwell, were arrested last year for sharing the gospel in Bristol. The court dismissed the case against Adrian Clark, ruling that there was no case to answer.

‘In February this year, Mike Overd and Michael Stockwell were convicted of religiously aggravated public order convictions. They were found guilty under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 at Bristol Magistrates’ Court.

‘Thursday 29th June 2017, Bristol Crown Court acquitted Mike and Michael of their convictions at an appeal hearing.’

Once, British police were well-respected for their impartiality but now enforce irrational, fascist policies, as may be gathered from CC’s above video!

In CC’s press release for the latest, Andrew Frost explains his motivation for preaching on the streets:

“I do what I do because I’m moved by the love of God to go out into the streets and preach to people. I wanted these men to know the truth, that Jesus can set them free. Because in the sight of God, these things are wrong.”

He adds that he’s previously been approached by people in same-sex relationships and every time reassures them that he has nothing against them.

“I am thankful that the judge saw sense and acquitted me of this charge…Christians need to be free to share the good news of the gospel to anyone who will listen – as we are commanded in Scripture to do.”

Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre supporting Mr Frost, comments: “We are delighted with this result. The freedoms that we enjoy today in this nation are largely due to our biblical foundation, yet the freedom to preach from this very Bible is under increasing threat. At the Christian Legal Centre we are seeing an increasing number of street preachers arrested for preaching the gospel.

“This encouraging result should offer some reassurance to Christians who may feel fearful of the consequences of sharing their beliefs with others.”

Fulfilled Prophecy #21: Ulster and Eire

A special thankyou to Bronwyn M for reminding me what Revd Dr Sharon Stone brought from the Lord 44 months ago in her Clarion Call for 2014-16 for the United Kingdom and Ireland not to miss our ‘Day of Visitation’. She said,

“I believe the Spirit of God is declaring over the UK that He has not passed us by, that we are on God’s calendar NOW”.

What she delivered on that day in early October 2013 has already proven to be accurate on Scotland’s ‘No!’ to independence and the timing “in the next two and half to three years” of England’s battles (Brexit) and eventual victory. It’s perhaps her most inspiring prophetic message and worthy of study – as is her and Chuck Pierce’s foretelling Kingdom clashes for England within/by 2016 (see Fulfilled Prophecy #8 part 3).

The prophecies bring insight and clarity to the Lord’s purposes being achieved through this month’s stunning turn of political events. That October, Sharon referred briefly to the state of play in each nation of our Union and what was necessary for each to align with God’s will. The first part of my transcript reads:

“And so I’m particularly going to target the next three and a half years for the UK…I know we have people here from other nations and we’re not preferring (the UK) but I believe that’s what’s so different about what I’m speaking at this time challenges most people that have put the entire UK into one pot and mixed all the prophetic words!

“I believe that God is not speaking to us as the United Kingdom at this time.

“I believe that God is speaking to us as Wales, as Scotland, as Ireland and as England, and the reason that He is speaking to us individually as countries at this time is because we are not on the same heavenly ‘time zone’.

“So if that’s true then we need to know where we are in the heavenly time zones of God. But at the same time we need to realise that we are there and what’s going on in each one of us is meant to complement and is meant to benefit the rest of the United Kingdom, as well as other nations.

“So the UK is not getting passed by!”

Sharon then asked delegates from those parts of the British Isles to stand up on behalf for their fellow citizens. She then prayed, blessed and spoke prophetically over each country in turn, especially for acceleration into national destinies.

IRELAND

“In speaking into Ireland it doesn’t take a genius to see that’s the western gate of revival for the UK. That means that if God is moving from the west eastwards they’re carrying something that those in England have need of. Does that make sense?”

Sharon draws attention of intercessors to her points, then reads from her notes of what she heard.: “This is what the Spirit of God, the Lord says,

“You’re the western gate of revival, so it’s crisis time for your heart. (Sharon speaks to intercessors) In the heart of the nation I am bringing a brief shock, like a defibrillator.

“In the heart of Ireland I am bringing a brief shock to reset the heart rhythm. The reason is because Ireland has always been a ‘sending’ nation (ie. of people all around the world) but they have benefited more nations than they’ve benefited themselves).

“It’s now time to revive the heart of your nation. Just as man has cut the nation in half (Eire and Ulster) I will heal the laceration portion with prayers for revival. From the west coast to the east coast on your border scar I will turn yesterday’s violence into an arm of strength. An arm of strength that will hurl My spear of revival on into the rest of the UK.”  (Note emphases – mine)

And of course, all satan’s stooges are now in an utter rage about two Christian leaders (not forgetting Her Majesty) being in charge!  Therefore, it behoves us to pray for our nation and leaders and to bless those who don’t yet know any better.

Bronwyn asks, “Could that ‘arm of strength’ be the DUP?”  It’s probably got the credentials for being that in view of its deep involvement with and negotiations out of terrorism to bring stability and peace to Ulster. Thus, its leaders know the differences between extremism and terrorism, as outlined in Premier Christianity’s The DUP Are Not Extremists: Seven Things You Need To Know About Them (thank you Jonathan Ely, Why Leave the EU?).

Paws-4-Prayer: fierce heavenly battle rages over Great Britain

On Saturday 10th June Veronika West posted the following on Ignite Ireland Ministry Facebook page, which connects not only into my brief reflections on Northern Ireland Unionist leader’s reaction to Prime Minister May’s proposals – “The Union is our shining star!” – but also with the two UKPW items in that post:

WATCHMEN KEEP PRAYING:  THERE’S A FIERCE BATTLE RAGING IN THE HEAVENLIES OVER THE KINGDOM DESTINY OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN & NORTHERN IRELAND…

This afternoon I went for a long walk along the coastline as I felt the Lord call me to completely separate myself from the busyness of the day. As I did so the Holy Spirit began to speak to me and reveal to me many things concerning Prime Minister Theresa May and the talks she is now having with the DUP here in Northern Ireland. As I talked with the Holy Spirit suddenly he reminded me of a very specific word that I received just a few days back where both the United Kingdom of Great Britain AND Northern Ireland were mentioned TOGETHER!!!. (See Below). I believe It is no coincidence that the Lord spoke so clearly and so specifically concerning both the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland just a few days before the Election, and now we see that there is a possibility of both the Conservative Government and the DUP in Northern Ireland coming TOGETHER AS ONE TO FORM A NEW GOVERNMENT IN THE NATION.

I believe this word is EXTREMELY POIGNANT IN THIS HOUR, furthermore I BELIEVE IT REVEALS THAT BOTH THE KINGDOM DESTINY OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND THAT OF NORTHERN IRELAND ARE POWERFULLY INTERLINKED WITH ONE ANOTHER.

PLEASE LET US CONTINUE TO PRAY FERVENTLY AND UNRELENTINGLY OVER the discussions that are NOW taking place between Prime Minister Theresa May and the First Minister Arlene Foster of the DUP.

I was shown that the enemy is doing everything in his power in this hour to halt and hinder any UNION from taking place between Britain and Northern Ireland. Satan knows that our Kingdom Destinies are powerfully interlinked with one another, Satan knows that MUCH will and can be accomplished and established for the Kingdom of God here in this Nation and indeed in many other Nations in the Earth if both Britain and Northern Ireland come together as one. I saw Satan working strategically behind the scenes to undermine and discredit both Prime Minister Theresa May and those in the DUP in order to overturn any possibility of a partnership forming between the Conservative Government and the DUP.

AGAIN Today as I was praying I saw a battle that is raging over the HARVEST FIELDS IN THIS NATION.

Brief post-election reflections

After the almost catastrophic election results a reader commented on my posting Charlie Shamp’s hearing from the Lord on Theresa May as ‘shining as a star’, as follows:

“Reading the reports just now I’ve read that Arlene Foster has today described the Union as “our shining star” – perhaps she reads this blog!”

Jonathan’s comment is valued as I only just caught that remark briefly on BBC’s evening news – and haven’t seen it in today’s paper (of course!!). The result makes it seem at best that Charlie was looking through ‘a glass darkly’, or at worst making a false prophecy – BUT the election results may make the PM deal with her shortcomings. Furthermore, in a few more weeks – June isn’t over yet! – a new government working with unionists of Ulster (staunch ‘Brexiteers’ who take a Christian stance) could be what the Lord wants and will direct?

Within 24 hours of Saturday evening’s attack by muslim murder-mongers near Southwark Cathedral in London’s ancient heart, about 50,000 concertgoers were emotionally singing along with Ariana Grande and many artists to the benefit of those affected by the bomb outrage at her concert in Manchester a fortnight ago tonight.

Although unfamiliar with their style and disliking hedonistic idolatry and hyped-up sexuality accorded to popular celebrities, we were extremely impressed with the depth of sincerity, warmth and love of Ariana and fellow musicians at the Old Trafford cricket ground to. So we watched most of her One Love Manchester event and noticed that the emphasis in some songs of godly values.

At 2hr10min o0f the video Justin Bieber gave one of several of his declarations on love:

“God is good in the midst of evil. God is good in the midst of darkness. He loves you!”

(Washington, D.C.) — Let’s be honest. The cynics and haters won’t be able to say one good thing about it. But the only fair analysis is that the President’s two-day visit to Israel was the most successful visit by an American leader to the Jewish State in decades.

It was meticulously planned, remarkably well executed, safe from start to finish, and it accomplished just what it had to. What’s more, the visit didn’t get derailed by unforced errors or unnecessary controversies.

Above all, President Trump’s visit profoundly reset and immensely strengthened the relationship between the U.S. and Israel, so badly strained after the eight years of the Obama administration. This is a very good and highly welcomed development.

Battle of Good vs. Evil – human love responds to demonic hatred

Politico-religious blogger Adrian Hilton records Mancunians’ praiseworthy reactions to the atrocity, in which demonic ‘losers’ now target children, in Archbishop Cranmer blog (click title for original article posted yesterday).Very well said sir:

Bodies and blood.

Carnage, terror and tears.

“There are children among the deceased,” confirmed Greater Manchester Police. “This has been the most horrific incident we have had to face,” said Chief Constable Ian Hopkins.

Nuts and bolts and nails.

Smoke and burning.

“This is horrific, this is criminal,” said Harun Khan, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain. “May the perpetrators face the full weight of justice both in this life and the next.”

Emergency services praised.

Cobra committee convened.

“Please hold the people of #Manchester in your prayers,” tweeted David Walker, Bishop of Manchester. “We’ve faced terror attacks before and this latest won’t defeat us.”

Fear and division.

Thoughts, prayers and condemnation.

Evil descended upon Manchester Arena last night: his target was teenagers at a pop concert. He wore a vest packed with explosives and metal bits. There was a blast and then a flash of fire. And then everyone just started running, screaming and crying.

And then Jesus came.

“We are visiting for a health conference from morecambe bay trust tomorrow 3 Theatre ODPs available if needed,” tweeted Kirsty Withers, an NHS theatre clinical manager.

“If anyone needs shelter we are right on the outskirts of central Manchester in Salford, anything I can do to help DM me!!” tweeted science student Karolina Staniecka.

“Anyone in Manchester who needs to wait for their parents or needs somewhere stay or to make phone calls, etc, just DM me. We have tea!” offered the BBC’s Simon Clancy.

“Anyone needing somewhere to stay can come to our Manchester headquarters in the city centre,” tweeted Stephen Bartlett.

“The Holiday Inn nearest to Manchester Arena have taken dozens of kids who have been separated from their parents tonight,” said Samuel Carvalho.

“Taxi drivers in #Manchester offering free journeys to those stranded after the events in #ManchesterArena,” tweeted Bethan Bonsall.

‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me,‘ said Jesus.

Out of the depths comes light; out of oppression, a new possibility and hope. You can blame and curse the Islamist in bitterness and hate, or you can sing a song of joy because there’s a better story to tell. In times of distress and suffering, there are little signs of the presence of the Lord: manna falls from desert bushes; quail drifts in with the wind; water is to be found in the most unexpected places. And the water of life is the presence of love and compassion, of guidance and affection, of ordinary people doing extraordinary little things to help their fellow man, for no other reason than that they want to and can.

‘By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion‘ (Ps 137:1).

‘Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?‘ (Ps 94:3).

‘Is the Lord among us or not?‘ (Ex 17:7).

The power of death brings unbearable grief, but God restores the soul. To live is to praise. There is kindness in darkness, and mercy in Manchester. It is the intuitive pulse of faithfulness, covenant, unity and peace. May God bless those who mourn, and wipe every tear from their eyes.

Important update on Israel, Iran and the United States

Further to my previous posts (here and here) on developments in Syria regarding British, American and Jordanian special forces and Iranian interests there, we now see how that connects into the diplomatic details of President Trump’s visit to Israel.

Upon his visiting President Rivlin, Debkafile reports Israel’s president as saying “We can’t wake up with Iran and Hizballah on our border. We want Iran out of Syria, out of Lebanon and away from our borders, and we must move forward to this goal together with America.”

‘Donald Trump once again rebutted media evaluations of his trip to Israel as a demonstration of friendship without real content. Very shortly after his arrival, he stood up at the president’s residence in Jerusalem and delivered a string of important policy statements and new revelations:

  1. Iran would not be permitted to possess a nuclear weapon.
  2. Iran must dismantle the Shiite terrorists and militias.
  3. Iran must remove all those same foreign militias from Syria.
  4. Iran must evacuate Hizballah forces from Syria and disarm this Lebanese Shiite organization.
  5. The Saudi King Salman had told him first hand of his fervent wish for an Israeli-Palestinian peace. Trump heard the same sentiment from other Arab and Muslim rulers.

‘Our military sources add: The issue of the pro-Iranian militias ties in directly with the battlefield confrontation building up in the past fortnight along Syria’s borders with Jordan and Iraq….’  (Read full report Trump: Iran must disarm militias; never gain nuke.)

Readers of long-standing will be familiar with my concern since the mid-1980’s that Iran has never relinquished its ambition to attack, or mastermind an attack upon, Jerusalem. In fact, its often held military drills to practise achieving that goal. (See Welcome and various posts under Iran tag.)

A week ago today over 200,000 computers in 150 countries crashed as their data files were held to ransom by criminal hackers.  News bulletins showed monitors with lights flashing all over the world-map to indicate locations under cyber-attack.

It wasn’t quite panic stations but doom-mongering mainstream news media milked it for all it was worth, especially on Monday in anticipation of meltdown for users returning to work and booting up out-dated Windows XP systems.  I had an early appointment for a routine check with my GP and, although their systems were up to date, their functioning was very slow across the network-spine.

It can be likened to a very slight foretaste of what’s to come when Jesus Christ’s visible return flashes across the skies and the news of this awesome yet dread event is flashed globally across social media and news networks.

As in my encounter with Him, everyone will immediately be aware of His incomparable, glorious holiness – and of their own abject and despicable unholiness.

Jesus likens the event to the effects of a great lightning storm. Therefore, IT WILL BE BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS TO EVERY LIVING SOUL, not only locally but also globally! Moreover, it will get promulgated across all digitally operational as well as media channels!

Moreover, Jesus is alerting many individuals to the fact His return IS very close – but many churches are ignoring that fact, as will be told next!

Iran’s changing land route to the west

Mark Davidson notes the Guardian’s coverage of Iranian activity in Syria, thus opening up the perspective of the activities of British, US and Jordanian spec-ops forces on its southern border with Israel & Jordan, as in my Monday post.

One of our readers brought this news story to my attention.

Since American and Turkish forces are building up along the old route (see map in linked story), Iran will start using another route to head west.

Whatever the preparations needed – whether weapons, tactics, organizations and even infrastructure – God is allowing Iran and the rest of the Middle East (and now possibly the Balkans) to prepare for the Second Signpost. I believe this news story reflects that idea. I find it interesting that the new route also goes right through the heart of ISIS territory in Syria.

Of course the day may come when, in the thick of the Second Signpost, Iran won’t fear American forces anymore.
