40 things (or more!) wrong with May-EU’s Withdrawal Agreement

One of my contributors to this blog’s series on the EU and Brexit, David Chapman, has submitted the following which he’d received from a friend, after having seen material by Martin Howe QC.

(Martin Howe is a leading barrister in intellectual property and EU law and Chairman of Lawyers for Britain, as well as a contributor to Brexit Central. His articles enable us to appreciate why the hitherto secret Attorney General’s advice to the government, as explosive as it is, came as no surprise to anyone well-informed of the nuances of the Brexit negotiations; see, for example – The Withdrawal Agreement’s Northern Ireland Protocol is Neither a ‘Backstop’ or Temporary published 22nd November!)

I’m informed the following has come from social media and it isn’t easy to determine its source. Nevertheless, David writes, “After trawling through the near 600 pages of the WA this seemed to have a much more succinct analysis than I could give.”

Also, a local friend of financial rather than legal background, reports he’s pleased to find its points are similar to those he’d noted when checking to identify the Agreement’s key issues. 

So with the foregoing in mind, let’s now take a look at :

40 REASONS (YES 40) WHY WE NEED TO BIN Mrs MAY’S PROPOSALS

From the offset, we should note that this is an EU text, not a UK or international text. This has one source. The Brexit agreement is written in Brussels.

  1. Prime Minister May says her deal means the UK leaves the EU next March. The Withdrawal Agreement makes a mockery of this. “All references to Member States and competent authorities of Member States…shall be read as including the United Kingdom.” (Art 6). Not quite what most people understand by Brexit. It goes on to spell out that the UK will be in the EU but without any MEPs, a commissioner or ECJ judges. We are effectively a Member State, but we are excused – or, more accurately, excluded – from attending summits. (Article 7)
  2. The European Court of Justice is decreed to be our highest court (Art. 86) both citizens and resident companies can use it.
  3. The UK will remain under the jurisdiction of the ECJ until eight years after the end of the transition period. (Article 158).
  4. The UK will still be bound by any future changes to EU law in which it will have no say, not to mention having to comply with current law. (Article 6(2))
  5. Any disputes under the Agreement will be decided by EU law only – one of the most dangerous provisions. (Article 168) Arbitration will be governed by the existing procedural rules of the EU law – this is not arbitration as we would commonly understand it (i.e. between two independent parties). (Article 174)
  6. “UNDERLINING that this Agreement is founded on an overall balance of benefits, rights and obligations for the Union and the United Kingdom” No, it should be based upon the binding legal obligations upon the EU contained within Article 50. It is wrong to suggest otherwise.
  7. The tampon tax clause: We obey EU laws on VAT, with no chance of losing the tampon tax even if we agree a better deal in December 2020 because we hereby agree to obey other EU VAT rules for **five years** after the transition period. Current EU rules prohibit 0-rated VAT on products (like tampons) that did not have such exemptions before the country joined the EU.
  8. Problems with the EU’s definitions: 3.1. “Union law” is too widely defined. “United Kingdom national” – we should not have agreed the Lisbon Treaty definition. That is giving away our right to define our citizens.
  9. Definitions needed to include the term “goods” and the term “services” we are promised the deal will mean ONLY EU law in relation to ‘goods’ will apply. This is a non-defined term so far. This agreement also fails to define it.
  10. The Mandelson Pension Clause: The UK must promise never to tax former EU officials based here – such as Peter Mandelson or Neil Kinnock – on their E.U. pensions, or tax any current ones on their salaries. The EU and its employees are immune to our tax laws. (Article 104)
  11. Furthermore, the UK agrees not to prosecute EU employees who are, or who might be deemed in future, criminals (Art.101)
  12. The pre-existing rights of EU citizens are to be extended to citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. They will be pleased. (Article 33)
  13. The EU’s stupidest law ever – the General Data Protection Regulation – is to be bound into UK law (Article 71 to 73). So much for escaping this madness.
  14. The UK is obliged to establish a ‘Joint Committee’ with EU representatives to guarantee ‘the implementation and application of this Agreement’. This does not sound like a withdrawal agreement – if it was, why would it need to be subject to continued monitoring? (Article 164). The Joint Committee will have subcommittees with jurisdiction over: (a) citizens’ rights; (b) “other separation provisions”; (c) Ireland/Northern Ireland; (d) Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus; (e) Gibraltar; and (f) financial provisions. (Article 165)
  15. The agreement will last as long as the country’s youngest baby lives. “the persons covered by this Part shall enjoy the rights provided for in the relevant Titles of this Part for their lifetime”. (Article 39).
  16. The UK is shut out of all EU networks and databases for security – yet no such provision exists to shut the EU out of ours. (Article 8)
  17. The UK will tied to EU foreign policy, “bound by the obligations stemming from the international agreements concluded by the Union” but unable to influence such decisions. (Article 124)
  18. All EU citizens must be given permanent right of residence after five years – but what counts as residence? This will be decided by the EU, rather than UK rules. (Articles 15-16)
  19. Britain is granted the power to send a civil servant to Brussels to watch them pass stupid laws which will hurt our economy. (Article 34)
  20. The UK agrees to spend taxpayers’ money telling everyone how wonderful the agreement is. (Article 37)
  21. Art 40 defines Goods. It seems to includes Services and Agriculture. We may come to discover that actually ‘goods’ means everything.
  22. Articles 40-49 practically mandate the UK’s ongoing membership of the Customs Union in all but name.
  23. The UK will be charged to receive the data/information we need in order to comply with EU law. (Article 50)
  24. The EU will continue to set rules for UK intellectual property law (Article 54 to 61)
  25. The UK will effectively be bound by a non-disclosure agreement swearing us to secrecy regarding any EU developments we have paid to be part. This is not mutual. The EU is not bound by such measures. (Article 74)
  26. The UK is bound by EU rules on procurement rules – which effectively forbids us from seeking better deals elsewhere. (Articles 75 to 78)
  27. We give up all rights to any data the EU made with our money (Art. 103)
  28. The EU decide capital projects (too broadly defined) the UK is liable for (why on earth can’t they say now … oh yes, I remember, they’re bust) (Art. 144)
  29. The UK is bound by EU state aid laws until future agreement – even in the event of an agreement, this must wait four years to be valid. (Article 93)
  30. Similar advantages and immunities are extended to all former MEPs and to former EU official more generally. (Articles 106-116)
  31. The UK is forbidden from revealing anything the EU told us or tells us about the finer points of deal and its operation. (Article 105).
  32. Any powers the UK parliament might have had to mitigate EU law are officially removed. (Article 128)
  33. The UK shall be liable for any “outstanding commitments” after 2022 (Article 142(2) expressly mentions pensions, which gives you an idea as to who probably negotiated this). The amount owed will be calculated by the EU. (Articles 140-142)
  34. The UK will be liable for future EU lending. As anyone familiar with the EU’s financials knows, this is not good. (Article 143)
  35. The UK will remain liable for capital projects approved by the European Investment Bank. (Article 150).
  36. The UK will remain a ‘party’ (i.e. cough up money) for the European Development Fund. (Articles 152-154)
  37. And the EU continues to calculate how much money the UK should pay it. So thank goodness Brussels does not have any accountancy issues.
  38. The UK will remain bound (i.e coughing up money) to the European Union Emergency Trust Fund – which deals with irregular migration (i.e. refugees) and displaced persons heading to Europe. (Article 155)
  39. The agreement will be policed by ‘the Authority’ – a new UK-based body with ‘powers equivalent to those of the European Commission’. (Article 159)
  40. And, of course, the UK will agree to pay £40bn to receive all of these ‘privileges’. (Article 138)

‘Brexit Plan B’ leader doesn’t grasp democracy

To follow up on my closure to Truth of EU’s Trap Revealed, the former attorney general, ‘Dominic Grieve, led a successful plot by 25 Tory Remainers to give MPs the right to dictate a “plan B” to Mrs May if she loses the Brexit deal vote’, so writes political editor Gordon Raynor towards the close of content to this morning’s banner headline The day May lost control.

‘The Prime Minister saw 25 of her own MPs, including several former loyalists, join forces with Labour to pass a crucial amendment to her deal by 321 votes to 299, a majority of 22.’

Gordon provides details online in The end of hard Brexit; How rebel Tories won right to force ‘Plan B’, but I want to draw your attention to his quoting what the ‘fox’ thinks:

‘Mr Grieve suggested that MPs would now be able to force a second referendum.  He said: “Parliament has asserted its sovereignty to ensure that amendments – such as for a People’s Vote – can be made to any motion if or when the Government’s proposed deal for leaving the EU has been defeated.

“Parliament must now take back control and then give the final decision back to the public because, in the end, only the people can sort this out.” (Emphasis added)

We learned this person fulfilled within days Veronika West’s prophetic word on betrayal within government by his public exposure of being in cahoots with EU leaders.

Watchers of political events know that Grieve’s long been working to reverse the results of the 2016 EU referendum by holding a so-called peoples’ vote – which is exactly what that referendum was anyway!

But now he’s abdicating all democratically designed responsibility. He claims we, the people, can sort out the sheer, shambolic mess politicians of all shades and opinions – here in Britain and in Brussels, including himself – have made of the UK’s governing process!  And there’s many with him – it beggars belief! Let’s think about it, clearly.

Even so, perhaps it would be a good thing to get rid of incompetent politicians because ordinary folk – or better still, trained Spirit-led disciples of Christ (not clergy) – could do a much better job.

So it continues to fascinate me how next week’s voting on Mrs May’s Brexit ‘deal’ will turn out. With no pre-arrangement on either party’s part, this takes place on the final day of Chuck Pierce’s powerful word on crucial 40 days for London!  The 40-day prophecy he brought in 2005 proved to be explosive when London suffered a terrorist outrage – so perhaps this year’s prophecy will prove not only politically but also supernaturally explosive!!

Maybe this shaking we’ve been experiencing will ricochet deeply into all organisations comprising the European Union. After all, it’s just been rocked by Spain!

Truth of EU’s trap revealed

After reading Neil Mackereth’s theme on ‘Divine Designs’ implicit behind a chain of totally unexpected events, ones that confounded “experts” and suggest the Lord’s hand was in them, this week has extended that list.:

The longer and more twisted became the EU’s negotiations over Brexit, the more has Brussels tyrannical heart become evident to all – that truth is being revealed and confirms what a Ukrainian pastor told David Hathaway, “The EU is a hundred times worse than communism”!

Hopefully, ALL Britons will drop our differences in ‘Brexiteers’ and ‘Remainers’ becoming united in loathing of the contemptuous, disgraceful way Great Britain has been treated over the past two years because of our desire to regain our sovereignty.

The EU’s true colours are now nailed to its mast!

When the British people wake up to see the fully tyrannical nature of the EU, then any fresh referendum should surely show a far greater percentage voting to ‘LEAVE’.

This week’s momentous, historic political events prior to Parliament’s voting upon PM May’s personal deal with Brussels are evidence of a great shaking, thereby proving Christian prognostications of such to be true prophecies.

Before covering today’s latest news, we should continue the ‘Divine Designs‘ listing by looking at just a few of this week’s events (courtesy Telegraph’s live newsfeed):

Early this afternoon the paper’s Brexit and political correspondents write:

‘Britain will be trapped in the Brexit backstop even if talks with the European Union on a trade deal break down, according to explosive legal advice finally published by the Government…

‘The legal advice is likely to confirm the worst fears of opponents of Theresa May’s Brexit deal because it sets out in stark terms that the UK cannot unilaterally exit the backstop and it will apply “indefinitely”.

‘It states: “In conclusion, the current drafting of the protocol, including Article 19, does not provide for a mechanism that is likely to enable the UK lawfully to exit the UK-wide customs union without a subsequent agreement…

‘Nigel Dodds, the deputy leader of the DUP, described the legal advice as “devastating” and it was “no wonder” the Government had “tried to hide” it.

‘Sir Keir Starmer, the shadow Brexit secretary, said having reviewed the legal advice it was “obvious why this needed to be placed in the public domain”. He said: “All week we have heard from Government ministers that releasing this information could harm the national interest. Nothing of the sort. All this advice reveals is the central weaknesses in the Government’s deal.

“It is unthinkable that the Government tried to keep this information from Parliament – and indeed the public – before next week’s vote.”

Prophetic word of warning and blessing for Britain re. the EU

Following Prime Minister Theresa May’s agreement in Brussels on Saturday 24th November on Britain’s leaving the EU, Revd Chris Wickland, pastor of Living Word Church based in Fareham, Purbrook and Lee-on-Solent, issued this email last Monday on what he’d brought from the Lord that Sunday night:

‘Last night at Living Word Lee I was due to give a normal sermon, but as I rose to get up God gave me a download regarding Brexit and what is soon to transpire for our nation.
‘I very rarely get anything like this and God was reminding me of many prophetic words and stringing it all together into a 30 min message of what is coming.

‘Please listen if you get time and please feel free to share with any people you feel this would resonate with.’

Prophecy of Warning and Blessing for Great Britain – 25th November 2018

Something has happened today which is very significant for us as Britons. The European treaty thing has gone through; that they’ve agreed on their side of things on the Brexit deal and…I don’t think God is very happy!

This is what I must declare, and I’m going to say it out loud. You see, when prophets of old would speak, they would not even necessarily go to the nations they spoke to, but they spoke to them because they were releasing the word of the Lord, and the Lord will do what He will do. Unfortunately, I have to say this over our government and our country:

‘MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN’. God has numbered your kingdom and finished it. You are weighed in the balance and found wanting. Your Kingdom is divided and has been given to another.’

I just feel God is really not pleased with what has happened this week and what is about to happen. I have had, over the years, many dreams, many visions for about 20-odd years about what is to come to this land. And unfortunately, what has happened now has just triggered it, because…God led this country to come out of something that he was not happy we were even in to start with. People voted for that. Not only did people vote for that, but He moved people by His Spirit to come out. And yet people who think they are better and know more than the plans and purposes of God have tried to intervene and tried to stop what God has decreed must happen. And because man has put his hatchet on the line, and because man has tried to sabotage the engine of what God was trying to do, God has unfortunately to bring down the axe of his judgment, and unfortunately it is going to bring a separation from us from Europe, whether we like it or not. But unfortunately, it is going to be costly and it is going to bring our nation to a place of humility.

You see, God cannot heal our land until our land has been humbled – ‘Unless my people humble themselves and pray I will not heal their land’ – and this land must now come to a time of humbling. This land must come to a place where it will call out to the Lord its God.

“It is a nation that is proud. It is a nation that has become arrogant. It is a nation that has thrown aside My laws and precepts and thrown aside My Word and thrown aside My people, and thrown aside My church. My church has forsaken by ways. My church has forsaken My laws and My precepts and My holy word. They have moved to the left when they should have always been in my Kingdom. They should have been teaching the Kingdom, but instead they taught the precepts and the doctrines and the philosophies of man!”
“And because of this I must humble My church as well. There are those that are following Me, and they are following Me with all their heart. I don’t speak to them. I speak to the church that takes My word and brings mixture to it, and brings worldliness to it, and brings worldly philosophies and worldly ideologies to My Word. No more!
“This country is going to humbled, and unfortunately the institutions which hold this country up are now going to have to topple. The things that this country feels that it has sure foundations I am now going to take away”, says the Lord. “And I will tear away the veil of lasciviousness so this country will finally wake up and look up and see that I alone am God, and I will save all who call upon the name of the Lord.”

But if I feel God is saying, “Enough is enough. They have had their time. MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN. You have had your time. You have had your chance. You have had your warnings. But you refused to listen, and you refused to relent and you refused to repent. And now I do not want to do what I now have to do, but YOU chose this. You chose to not follow Me. You chose to not follow the voice of the people. You chose not to follow the leading of My people. You chose not to follow the leading of My prophets.”
“And I speak now to the Government. They have heard the voice of the prophets. They have heard the prayers of the saints that have gone up for this land. They know the petitions of my people, and they have ignored them. And I tell you now, you will not ignore the voice of My prophets in this land anymore. You will now come to a time of humility, and you will be humbled” says the Lord.
“But I have plans for this nation. Yes, she must be humbled, but I will bandage up her wounds, I will take care of her and I will raise her up, and I will look after her and all of those that call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved and I will bring this country into the plans and purposes I have for it. And I have plans to prosper this country. I do not have plans to harm her; but know this…”

Click to continue at 5:40 mark to hear what God is going to do with Great Britain in the light of Brexit and of revival. It is a sobering, serious word yet brings hope and clarity for the days ahead.

Pastor Chris’ opening reference to events of the past 20 years reminds me of the Lord having opened Hebrews 12:18-29 to me at a house group meeting in late 1990s. Hence, my coverage in the last few years of many prophecies on The Shaking; eg. as recently in ‘a new season of shaking’ and in ‘a merciful but severe course correction’.

What’s more, I can relate to his personal testimony (Witchcraft to Christ) because I too was in the new age group he’d been involved with, as well as nearly having had a head-on crash. Part 2 of his story is of wider interest.

PS: the evening before the PM’s announcement I saw a long tidal wave, rather like a tsunami, about to hit our shores. It is the wave of revival and this was confirmed not only by the pastor at this Spirit-led meeting at Fleet Baptist Church but also by the desktop image of a huge wave on the visiting speaker’s tablet (John Arnott)!

May the Lord bless you as you weigh this message and wait on Him.

‘Divine Designs’ re. Britain and the European Union

In updating me on his thoughts about Britain and the EU, Neil Mackereth (author of SIGNS) enables our further consideration of the prophetic word on the Lord being in control of Brexit.

Neil writes, “I have amended the last section ‘Spiritual Significance’ somewhat, mainly to emphasise that understanding comes with hindsight. The reasons for the present political confusion and turmoil will become clear. My view is that it is necessary to ensure there is not an inappropriate compromise deal (appeasement). No political consensus may be the only way to ensure a proper severance.”

DIVINE DESIGNS

THE SPIRITUAL IMPERATIVE

A spiritual indifference has taken root in the world today. The rulers, leaders, decision makers and diplomats are trying to direct nations and solve problems using the wisdom of this age – their own “wisdom”, world-view, self-interest, conceit and disdain (see 1 Corinthians 2:6, 14.).

As always, God is in control and is working out His purposes. We need to keep our spiritual eyes and ears open in these turbulent times and seek to understand the Kingdom perspective and significance of events. We may be mystified but we can still choose to go with God in the fulfilment of His purposes. His ways are not our ways; however, He wants us to be involved and what matters most is maintaining our relationship with Jesus and doing our utmost to fulfil the great commission.

Is there a link between following biblical guidelines and the wellbeing of the nation? The secular world ridicule suggestions that God is in control. They are mistaken.

An Example of the Significance of Blessing Israel – The Balfour Declaration

The Balfour Declaration of 9 November 1917, promising a national homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine, shows the efficacy of the principle expressed in Genesis 12.3 “I will bless those who bless you”. The declaration, first aired on 2 November, became agreed Government policy a week later. It was heartfelt and undoubtedly blessed the Jews: there was an almost immediate counter blessing!

General Allenby, the British commander in the Middle East, launched an offensive to capture Jerusalem on 31 October 1917. He took Gaza on 7 November and Jaffa on 16 November.  As Allenby’s forces approached Jerusalem the German and Turkish forces decided to withdraw from the city.

General Allenby and his commanders walked into the undefended city of Jerusalem on 9 December 2017. That was truly remarkable!

Unfortunately, subsequent governments have not shown unity or clarity in their endeavours to bless God’s chosen people!

THE UNEXPECTED

I meet many disheartened Christians who do not see God’s hand in the events unfolding in our nation. I, on the other hand, am intrigued and excited by a chain of unexpected outcomes. Examples where the “experts” were confounded:

  1. The Scottish independence referendum of September 2014 (unity of UK)
  2. PM Cameron, promising a referendum on EU membership, re-elected to government with an unexpected overall majority – General Election May 2015
  3. Mr Corbyn elected Labour leader – September 2015 (against all expectations)
  4. EU referendum (PM hoisted by his own petard having only anticipated a coalition government and hence no likelihood of having to honour the pledge)
  5. BREXIT – June 2016 (referendum outcome against expectations)
  6. The Labour Party, which might have influenced the Remain vote, in disarray
  7. PM Cameron resigns July 2016
  8. Mrs May elected PM July 2016 (virtually unopposed – a professing Christian)
  9. PM calls a snap general election June 2017 – unexpectedly loses her majority (against all pundit expectations/forecasts!) and has to rely on DUP support to form a government (the significance of the DUP holding the balance of power becomes more evident as Brexit progresses – unity of UK)
  10. The pessimistic ‘experts’ have repeatedly been proved wrong:
  • The stock market will crash – it has reached record highs
  • Unemployment will rise – it has fallen
  • The economy will go into recession – the opposite is true
  • The value of the pound will fall – it has but that has not been the predicted disaster. It has proved beneficial to trade and made the UK an attractive proposition/haven for overseas investors, the pound is recovering.

Cracks are appearing in the unity of the EU nations: their instability is ignored by the UK prophets of doom who continue their barrage, many demanding a second referendum. The amazing thing is, the pundits are still held in high esteem!

SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE

We have a God of the unexpected and the above list indicates that God’s hand is on Great Britain. The significance and progressive nature of each step only becomes clear with hindsight. Similarly, I am sure that the reasons for the current political confusion and government disarray will be apparent “after the event”. I am reminded of Habakkuk; we watch to see God’s plans unfold, confident in the knowledge that however turbulent the immediate future may be, His plans will not be thwarted. Furthermore, God told Habakkuk to tell the nation what was to happen.

I don’t know whether a deal (i.e. with fair contractual agreements) or a no-deal Brexit is best, but He does: instead of being in the worst position, as so many argue, knowing Him puts us in the best position.

We are at a pivotal moment. The signs of demonic influence in the EU are startlingly obvious, to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Brexit threatens to hasten the break-up of the EU (I think it was inevitable). Whatever people may say; Brexit is a calamity for the EU. God is rescuing the UK from an unholy alliance, to be a tower of strength, a light in a dark place, a refuge and a sanctuary.

Our God is not a God of compromise. Pray, pray and pray again for a clean, fair and complete break from the EU. Pray for the adoption of the underlying principle that UK policies will be biblically based and will seek to bless the Jewish people (this does not mean endorsing or condoning any unreasonable actions/words of secular authorities or leaders. It does mean help in safeguarding the rights and security of Israel, and of the Jewish people worldwide).

Watch and be amazed: we constantly underestimate the greatness of our God and we constantly underestimate the power and authority of His Word. He is birthing something new for the nations of the world, which apparent from the shaking and repositioning we are witnessing. It heralds the time of tribulation, which will culminate in the return of Jesus.

BREXIT – ‘THE LORD IS IN CONTROL AND WILL HAVE HIS WAY’

‘CTNTP has been careful to keep out of the ‘Brexit fray’. The whole subject has become a very difficult one for The Church at large in our nation, as within our congregations, like during the Referendum, many hold one position, many the other. It has divided us, at the very time when The Lord is surely saying, we must be ‘As One’.

‘Our view is that The Lord has already gone far ahead of us! His overall plans and purposes for the United Kingdom have been in place from the beginning of time. They are good plans, plans that give us a real hope and future. It is all to easy for us to react, to ‘knee-jerk’ to the daily pendulum swing of news and commentary.

‘We are not absolved from the responsibility of prayer and of seeking The Lord, for He works alongside us, ‘co-labours’ with us. It is a great mystery, but He truly uses us to bring His plans to fruition. Prayer leads to ‘mission’ – we must hear from Heaven and deliver our personally assigned part in God’s plan.

‘We have already believed the Lord is speaking to many Christians in Britain about releasing a ‘sound of heaven’ over our Land, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Read more about this – click here. The plans of the enemy are defeated when God’s people rise up, and standing in love and unity, stand, sing, speak and declare His Glory! (see 2 Chron 20). This should surely be our focus?’

A Prophetic Word from Quiver

‘We have been made aware of a Statement from the Christian prayer organisation, Quiver, written by its Convenor, Jennifer Abigail Lawson Wallace, that was released a couple of days ago. This powerfully speaks into the Brexit situation and is reproduced below. As usual, we ask you to weigh the words before The Lord.

‘We are in a time where we must keep our eyes fixed on heaven, let The Holy Spirit direct your thoughts and prayers, not the BBC (or other) news!’

A STATEMENT FROM QUIVER CONCERNING BREXIT – 24 November 2018

Last Tuesday was exactly two years ago, when we finished the intercessory journey around the UK. I had totally forgotten about that, but was at a prayer meeting at Emmanuel Centre on Tuesday 20th November (2016), when the Holy Spirit reminded me. He said “Today is exactly two years since you completed your intercessory journey around the UK.”

He began to remind me of the things He said at the end of that assignment; that He has taken control over the nation, and that whatever transpires, we should rest assured that He is in control. After the assignment, He had also said to me, “I will take you to Buckingham Palace and there you’ll complete this task, for I have taken over the nation.” A few months later, I attended the Queen’s garden party at Buckingham Palace, and there, I proclaimed Psalm 45 over the nation, declaring that Christ will rule this land with the Church, His Bride!

Since then, even though we have continued to pray concerning Brexit, the focus of the Lord to us at QUIVER has been the Church. To pray and prepare her to rise up boldly and work. The Lord need His Church to stand firm, and prepared and ready to reach out to the nation again. (Haggai 2). Hence our 36 days of fasting and prayer throughout the year, which concludes next week.

However, whenever I have felt panicky about the current situation with Brexit, I have been reminded that the LORD IS IN CONTROL AND WILL HAVE HIS WAY. I have a deep sense of peace, and the Lord has asked us to enter into rest and praise Him.

The Lord gave 2 Chronicles 20:

In the midst of a fierce threat of war from several nations, King Jehoshaphat declared to Judah and Jerusalem “Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets and you shall prosper.” Then he assigned worshipers to go before the army. They declared, “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.”

We, therefore, believe that this is not the time to panic but rather hold on to every prophetic word received regarding the UK, and stand firm and declare it. This is the time to believe that God answers prayer and He has heard and will answer and help us. This is the time to praise, worship and thank God and ask Him to glorify His name.

Indeed, it’s not by might but by His Spirit. Who are you O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!!!” Zechariah 4:6-7

As I prayed last night, I heard word: “The outcome of Brexit has already been determined in the courts of heaven.” We, therefore, believe that the counsel of God alone shall stand in regards to Brexit! No human being shall determine the outcome, God has already determined it.

After, praying last night, the Lord asked me to make a Prophetic Declaration over Britain. (I have an audio recording of this). After making the prophetic declaration, I had a vision of the Lord as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah! I saw the Lion but He was with a Lioness. (This the first time I have seen the Lion with a Lioness). With this I had an assurance that the Lord, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is with His Bride, the true Church. Jesus Christ is with us in this battle for our nation. Victory belongs to Jesus.

Let us do what King Jehoshaphat and Judah did, and stand firm on His word, promises and prophecies to our nation. Let us stand in faith and believe in the Lord’s ability to deliver. Let us have a confident assurance in our God and praise, worship and thank Him. Let us stand still and firm and see the salvation of our God. PSALM 46. Amen!!!

God’s numbers in July’s blood moon (Fulfilled Prophecy #38 cont’d)

This third guest post by Jonathan R Hill continues with the fulfillment of the prophetic word for 2018 of the gift of understanding special numbers, as used by the Lord and  reviewed here. This article recaps previous points to introduce very compelling facts pertaining to modern British history: 

BLOOD MOON 27th JULY 2018

The celestial event of this lunar eclipse is warning of a coming divine judgement upon a godless Europe.

A record-registering heatwave across Europe, breaks in the UK on the day of this blood red moon. The UK’s nationwide evening thunderstorms and rain, halt the intense heat. The heatwave across Europe speaks of the heat of divine judgement as confirmed by the red colour of the moon.

The United Kingdom has been marked by the Lord for interventional dealings and, as will be explained, these dealings of the Lord with the UK, are regarding ‘escape’. In scripture, the Lord uses triangular numbers to mark individuals or bodies of people with whom He will interact. The triangular number 153 is a prime example as representing the completed church at the point of rapture or ‘escape’.

Queen Elizabeth II was crowned queen of the United Kingdom and all commonwealth  countries in 1953, a number which is the 62nd triangular number and in which the digits ‘1’, ‘5’ and ‘3’ appear. Significantly, Elizabeth was crowned on the 153rd day of 1953, namely the 2nd June. Moreover, on this day, news comes in that the commonwealth climber Sir Edmund Hilary has conquered Mount Everest, confirming this day as a ‘high’ day in global history. In this way and by His grace, God has marked our nation with 153 or ‘escape’. The true personal faith of our sovereign queen has acted as a testimony of God’s involvement.

From what is the UK escaping? The next triangular number which mathematically follows 1953 is 2016. This is the year of the Brexit Referendum which marks the ‘escape’ of the UK out of the European Union. The earlier ‘escape’ of 33 individual Chilean Miners was the first ‘escape’ witnessed by the world. The second is a national escape out of the EU block of 28 nations with 5 in accession (33 nations), also witnessed by the world. Both escapes signify the global escape of the church at the Rapture. Individual, followed by national concluding with global, appears to be the divine signification of ‘escape’. The number of days between these ‘escape’ events is important because it contains the relevant triangular numbers. In the case of Brexit and the Chilean Miner rescue, there are 33 x 63 separating days, where 33 is the biblical number of ‘living witness’ and the 63rd triangular number is 2016, the year of the Brexit Referendum.

The relevance to this discussion is the number of days between the blood red moon of July 27th, 2018 (BRM) and the Brexit Referendum, which is 5 x 153. The number 5 denotes the grace of God upon the nation of the UK, in permitting an ‘escape’ from the EU and the upcoming judgement. BRM is also 12 x 3066 days from the Balfour Declaration regarding the restoration of the nation of Israel. Perhaps this British declaration somehow factors with the divine grace gifted to the UK. The number 12 represents the governmental perfection of Israel and 3066 is the Hebrew gematria of Isaiah 53:10, which speaks of Messiah seeing His seed (believing Israel) in the Millennial Kingdom.

Many in the UK are unable to observe this celestial warning, because of obstructing cloud cover of the breaking weather. In a sense the UK has escaped the ‘heat of judgement’. In contrast, the blood red moon continues to shine down on mainland Europe.

Brexit – the Escape of a Nation (Fulfilled Prophecy #38.2)

Grateful thanks to the unknown creator of this splendid illustration

Following my introduction to Fulfilled Prophecy #38.1, this guest post by Jonathan R Hill written two years ago brings intriguing insights into Britain’s possible ‘rescue’ out of the EU.  As promised in my preamble on Hallow’een in Declarations of the Lord’s Glory over Britain, we learn about the holy meaning of number 33. Emphases are mine:

BREXIT – THE ESCAPE OF A NATION

WHAT’S AT STAKE

According to the US news network NBC, the following is at stake:

“In short, the future of Europe and the global order. Britain is the EU’s second-largest economy, has a powerful military and exerts outsize influence in global affairs; it would be difficult to interpret ‘Brexit’ as anything other than abandonment of the EU by one of its most important members.” (Brexit Vote: What your need to know about Britain’s Referendum on leaving the EU]

THE SIGNIFICANCE

Would the event of Brexit be witnessed and marvelled upon by the world with similar media attention allocated to the escape of the Chilean Miners in 2010? Global interest is certainly high and rising as a realignment of the global order is forthcoming.

There may be a logical progression of signs here.:

  • First, the escape of men,
  • secondly, the escape of a nation and
  • finally, the world-wide escape of the Body of Christ at the Rapture.

The CM rescue was marked with the number 33 which is the biblical number of bearing witness. The 33 vertebrae of the backbone point every fortunate human-being heaven ward towards the current location of the Son of God – in other words, ‘He went that way!’ These 33 bones also contain the messages from the head (typically in heaven) to the body.

The EU block is currently 28 nations with 5 in accession (33 nations) – International Economic Relations

Does the escape of the UK from the 33 nation block of the EU, following the escape of 33 Chilean Miners, channel a message from heaven to earth that points or witnesses to the next progressive escape – one that will be world-wide?

THE TIMING

The number of days between the Chilean Miner rescue (13th October 2010) and the British EU referendum (23rd June 2016) is 2079, a number precisely factored by 33 and 63 (33 x 63 = 2079). The number 33 as a factor is clearly relevant but not significant unless the number 63 has a bearing. Interestingly, the 63rd triangular number is 2016.(Triangular numbers being used by our Father to signify important events – RB note: see foot of F/P #38 for diagrammatic explanation of these numbers.)

3 signs in 1 day of the EU’s shaking!!! (Fulfilled Prophecy #13 yet again – on 9/11!)

1st ‘SIGN’:

Upon seeing this banner headline of the EU’s totally unacceptable demand I thought to the Lord there may be only one way for these deliberately difficult negotiations to be concluded – for the EU to collapse first!

When reading the full article over a welcome coffee and almond croissant I found it’s closing paragraph (highlighted in photo) buried on the inside’s page 2 almost confirms that personal reaction:

If you may be unable to read that prophetical paragraph, its statement is well worth repetition and broadcasting (emphasis mine):

‘Elsewhere, Michael Barnier the EU’s chief negotiator,  said the European project could face ruin from populist forces in the elections next years.  He warned: “There is now a [Nigel] Farage in every country. The project is fragile, under threat and perishable.”

Later, I noticed a couple more indicative ‘signs’.:

2nd ‘SIGN’:

Telegraph’s international business editor Ambrose Evans-Pritchard opens on Italy-EU impasse heading for crisis:

‘The EU has no legal means to force the capitulation of Italy’s rebel government and the budget showdown is likely to escalate until there is a market crisis, warned a veteran euro fire-fighter.

‘Vitor Constancio, the European Central Bank’s former financial stability chief, said the high-stakes clash with Italy is extremely difficult to handle and Brussels is effectively powerless against a net contributor to the EU budget…’

3rd ‘SIGN’:

Its industry editor Alan Tovey opens Dyson wins battle with EU over testing of vacuum cleaners:

‘Dyson has won a long-running court battle in the EU over how vacuum cleaners’ energy consumption is labelled in what the company has called a “win for consumers”. The company has been arguing since 2014 that current tests are flawed because they are carried out when vacuum cleaners are empty of dust…

‘Issuing its ruling, the General Court said by ignoring Dyson’s claims the European Commission had “disregarded an essential element” of the directive on energy use. It added the original directive on how products are labelled relating to their true energy consumption “reflected a political choice of EU law”…

Sir JamesDyson  added the battle had seen his company “forced to use freedom of information requests to obtain correspondence between German manufacturers and an EU commissioner… as part of the process to shine a light on the practices some companies will resort to”.

Polexit

The EUObserver reports President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, as warning that “Poland could accidentally leave the EU”.

Here, the Brexit news website Westmontser comments,

‘A former Polish PM, Tusk is clearly worried about his country following Brexit Britain out the door. The elected Polish government has repeatedly clashed with the unelected EU Commission from interfering in domestic affairs – and it has having an impact. A BBC report earlier this year highlighted disquiet from some Polish people, with one saying: “The EU is meddling too much in Polish matters. Poland is a sovereign country. We can deal with our own issues.”

‘The Poles have also vowed to defend Viktor Orban’s Hungarian government, who have also faced the threat of EU sanctions.’

A ‘watching’ public press foresees a leaderless EU!

OED definition of ‘spectator’ – ‘a person who watches at a show, game or other event’.

Thank you to Carolyn S for alerting me to last weekend’s edition of The Spectator, and I particularly note its front cover’s prophetical cartoon:

As Carolyn observes, “…the spiritual overtones are deafening! A significant time for intercessors to pray!”

Immediately, I’m reminded of the prophecies brought in 2015 and 2016 through David Noakes and Patsy Southway of the fall of the EU (Fulfilled Prophecies #13 & #14 et seriatim) – as well as through Revd John Kilpatrick in Dec 2015 on a coming shaking and jolting of nations, and ‘Sue’ some years previously (under ‘Voice of Believers’ in UK/EU in/out #3 – In the Face of God).

As expected from this periodical, Douglas Murray’s analysis Mutti’s Last Days – Angela Merkel is on the way out, and so is her vision for the European Union is worth taking time to read for his informative opinion.

An apposite posting for All Saints’ Day!  And it’s accompanied by confirmations in the news not only on the day I received it but also today, as told at the end Part 2.

In this tripartite account Dave Hood continues his personal reflections and insights on a Biblical meditation directly relevant to Brexit. I note that they precede and are reinforced by the angelic word on the ‘final battle’ for Britain. Also, another author’s guest post will return to the ‘rescue’ theme.

Vision of ‘ripples’ across and radiating from Britain

“He’s coming on the clouds, Kings and kingdoms will bow down,

And every chain will break as broken hearts declare His praise,

Who can stop the Lord Almighty?” (‘Lion and Lamb’, Bethel Music)

With such a thrilling song starting the morning’s high praise on Saturday 6th October I couldn’t help but recall that awesome encounter retold three weeks earlier on this blog.  Alistair, our worship leader, continued drawing a couple of hundred souls into the Lord’s presence as we went on to sing that ‘He’s a good, good Father’ , and then sing ‘Ocean’.

We’d assembled in a hotel opposite Windsor Castle for a mentoring day of teaching and activation in the prophetic gifts led by Rev Dr Sharon Stone with her guest Revd Celia Apeagyei-Collins.

Upon ascending the platform Sharon led in prayer bringing a brief word from the Lord – but was it my just imagination, or something He was dropping into my mind? I got an impression of the British Isles with a target superimposed upon it and our location being the Lord’s bull’s-eye (like on a dart board) and quickly jotted:

‘Pegging out ‘stakes’ then radiating out from Windsor for His fire to fall and become another center to ripple/radiate out from; so we get dozens of ‘ripple centers’ – it’s not just Windsor being of central importance but wherever there’s Holy Spirit-filled worship – thus those places alternatively appear in the spirit realm as pulsating ‘hearts’ or power points which thereby move across Great Britain.’

I sensed the ‘stakes’ are like coloured pins being pegged out at various places, like on a target square and as though radiating from Windsor. Having recently blogged on Jean Darnall, I was reminded of her vision of fires and lights across the UK and their being hit by lightning.

Whilst scribbling that note, Keith, whom I’ve known since we’d first attended Sharon’s classes in ’05 (at which he gave me an unlikely prophetic picture that later became true), was acting as usher and came beside me to guide someone into my row. So I briefly told him what I’d seen.

Next thing I knew, he’d vanished and returned with a leader to hear and weigh what I’d got. It was Suzanne Ferrett (of Passion For The Nation) and she said ‘ripples’ had also been mentioned the previous weekend at the ‘As One’ prayer gathering in Coventry (reported here), to which I’d been ‘God-incidentally’ connected!  (She was one of those who’d told me about it after I’d blogged about Jean Darnall.) She recommended my telling Sharon, who later told me CIE has been making connections and setting up various centers.

Unusually, the picture wasn’t a quick impression but lingered with me all morning. As I watched and listened to Celia delivering her talk I was also watching an ‘overlay’ of the open vision over this ordinary conference scene. It was like watching a video of green and blue ripples rhythmically flowing out from several points of origin across our land, as though our atmosphere was being affected by Christians’ activities and the Holy Spirit’s response.

This static image cannot convey what was in the ‘video’ because my photo-software’s effects could do only one center, whereas I saw several in action pumping out waves. Fascinated, I watched greens and blues of many hues pulsating across Britain as orchestrated, interference patterns rippled out towards Ireland and Europe; but this image may convey a hint of what’s going on…please weigh with the Lord in prayer…
