God’s bookends – a guest post

I’m grateful to Mark Maddock for offering these thoughts as a ‘conversation starter’ (his words) on the current signs of the times:

GOD’S BOOKENDS

Introduction

God has given us signs in the stars (including planets) at key times in human history (‘…let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.’ Gen.1v14)
Perhaps the most significant of these was the patterns of stars and planets seen by the Wise Men (Magi) in Babylon, ahead of Jesus’ birth. There was then a delay while they travelled to see the prophesied king of the Jews. He was not a new born when they met him but, of course, Jesus came to die. So perhaps the key time period is that from the sign in the stars appearing up to the culmination of the life of the man at the centre of the message. I believe the Father said to me “These signs are bookends…”.

If there is a pattern to be repeated at the end of the age we’re living in then it may give an indication of what lies ahead in the coming years.

A ‘bookend’ is used either end of a collection of books. The collection of ‘books’ in this analogy is all the stories of God’s grace and love moving around the world throughout the church era. This began with Jesus’ death and resurrection, and ends with Jesus’ return to reign and rule on planet earth. Both bookends have clear links with the first and last prophetic fulfilment of the vision of the woman in Revelation 12.

BOOKEND DATES

The first bookend : Jupiter and Regulus in a coronation dance in Leo, near Virgo*
Jesus’ birth sign length: Sept 3BC to June 2 BC (or Oct.?) **
Jesus’ birth after X months: 9 months
Jesus’ death/resurrection (Y years): 30 years later (26-27AD)

The second bookend : Jupiter in Virgo’s womb (Rev.12 fulfilled fully…)
Jesus’ return sign length: Jan to 23rd Sept 2017
X months : 9months
Add Y years (to Jesus’ return?): 30 years (2047)
And, add Daniel’s 70th Week ?: 7 years (2054, the day/hour unknown)

DANIEL

Where did the Magi get the wisdom to correctly interpret the sign in the stars? Some say that Daniel stayed in Babylon when the Jews returned to Israel in the sixth century B.C. Perhaps he established a school of prophets who passed God’s wisdom about astronomy from generation to generation. These men probably knew of Daniel’s prophetic writings which can be used to predict Jesus’ birth, the rebirth of the nation in 1948, re-capture of Jerusalem in 1967 and whatever events await us in 2018 (probably centred around the Temple Mount in Jerusalem). Perhaps there is an overlap of the 23/9/2017 star sign (Jupiter being ‘born’ from the virgin, Virgo) and the end of Daniel’s chronological predictions in 2018 (see Richard D Thompson’s ‘Almost Midnight’ for an explanation of this chronology).

There was ‘messiah fever’ around the time of Jesus’ birth based on Daniel’s prophecies. The message in the stars was all about Israel’s king arriving. It fits in that, about 2,000 years later, a sign appears again which is all about a king being released from Heaven. If there is a delay of 30 years (or 37 if Daniel’s 70th Week of years is included) then that speaks of God’s grace… delaying judgement for a season.

Many people missed Messiah’s first arrival, life and misinterpreted his death and resurrection. We need God’s wisdom about the correct interpretation of the signs in the stars in our generation.

1. The first conjunction signified birth by its association to the day with Virgo “birthing” the new moon. Some might argue that the unusual triple conjunction by itself could be taken to indicate a new king.
2. The Planet of King’s coronation of the Star of Kings signified kingship.
3. The triple conjunction began with the Jewish New Year and took place within Leo, showing a connection with the Jewish tribe of Judah (and prophecies of the Jewish Messiah).
4. Jupiter rises in the east.
5. The conjunctions appeared at precise, identifiable times.
6. Herod was unaware of these things; they were astronomical events which had significance only when explained by experts.
7. The events took place over a span of time sufficient for the Magi to see them both from the East and upon their arrival in Jerusalem.
8. Jupiter was ahead of the Magi as they traveled south from Jerusalem to Bethlehem.
9. On December 25 of 2 BC as it entered retrograde, Jupiter reached full stop in its travel through the fixed stars. Magi viewing from Jerusalem would have seen it stopped in the sky above the little town of Bethlehem.

God’s word does a great job of interpreting itself in many many cases. God ties things together for us to clearly see what He is telling us, and how He works, if we just use proper hermeneutical practices and let His word speak. First, regarding when these “lots” as drawn were to start would go back to Aaron and Moses when the Tabernacle was first built in the wilderness. Due to the Exodus from Egypt, their calendar was to thus begin in Nisan, the month of the Passover. So the descendents of Aaron would start the new year at that time and thus the “lots” would also would also start at that time. The story of Zachariah and Elizabeth immediately brings to mind the story of Abraham and Sarah. They are extremely similar. Zachariah and Elizabeth were well past the age biologically to have a child as were Abraham and Sarah. When Abraham was 99 years old we read in Genesis 17 that God promises him to have an heir through Sarah. Abraham and Sarah doubt God, Sarah even openly laughs. Abraham says, shall a man of 100 become a father? Zachariah in Luke doubts God as well and is struck dumb for his unbelief. In Genesis, after the Sodom and Gomorrah story unfolds in Genesis 19, we get back to Abraham and God saying he would have a child. In Genesis 21 it states that at the age of 100 Abraham and Sarah had a boy and named him Isaac. So obviously Sarah became pregnant very quickly after God told Abraham, at 99 y/o, that she would have a child. This parallel story between the OT and NT clearly leads the reader to the conclusion that Elizabeth would have gotten pregnant just as quickly as Sarah. God was ready in Genesis to pass the promises of Genesis 3:15 from Abraham to Isaac, and with Sarah of an advanced age, God acted quickly once the appointed time came. So also in Luke, God was ready to bring the Messiah into the world, so his fore-runner, John the Baptist had to be born. With John’s parents being also of an advanced age, God again acted quickly. Theses stories are mirror images of one another and for a reason. God is showing that when such appointed times arrive, He acts quickly. In Luke 1:55 when Mary arrives at Elizabeth’s home, Mary even ties together what has happened to her and Elizabeth by comparing it to the promises made to Abraham, thus uniting the OT and NT stories together. This adds more powerful hermeneutical evidence that God is repeating the miracle of Sarah again in Elizabeth. So we have ample Biblical evidence directly pointing us to conclude that God is repeating history. Sarah had her baby within a year, so I have no difficulty seeing God telling us that Elizabeth likewise had her child within a year. In the Companion Bible, an extensive study Bible with lots of notes and research, it calculates the dates for the service of Zachariah as being in June each year, for his one week. The dates I mentioned of June 13-19 was for the year 5 BC in the Companion Bible. But each year it would just move slightly within that period of June. This dating takes into account the weeks when all the Levites would be serving in the Temple, since the lots drawn were for weeks when just one Levite would be serving and performing the priestly duties by himself in the Temple. So I am convinced John was conceived in June 4 BC, Jesus 6 months later in Dec 4 BC. The triple conjunction as explained by Mr Larson in the Star of Bethlehem DVD, I think was announcing the birth of Christ in Sept/Oct 3 BC. Nine months later the brilliant star created by Venus and Jupiter I think was the spectacular sign needed to get the Wise men moving and on their way to Jerusalem, with them arriving sometime between Jesus’ 1st and 2nd birthdays.

Am editing Mark’s paper whilst listening to Robert Breaker’s video. It’s a tad indistinct as I focus on this, but suddenly clearly hear him mention a ‘two year’ period re Star of Bethlehem: it’s something I’ve been pondering in regard to my draft summary on Rev 12 and other scripture being prepared for publication!
My initial observations: as Jesus has already been incarnate then it’s illogical to assume any time-frame of 30 years yet again for coming to earthly maturity – and then add Daniels’ 70th! +
He said He will be returning in full glory – and Paul knew we would be like Him (ie ‘heavenly man’) and accompany Him from heaven post-‘Rapture’. +
A good friend of a fellow team-member at Acorn in her 80’s is assured Jesus will return in her lifetime. Also, Paul Keith Davis walked past me about 10 years ago and, glancing at me without halting, said “Await His return!”

I agree His return may well be earlier. I’ve (earlier) mentioned ‘Almost Midnight’ by Richard Thompson.. he gIves a strong biblical chronology case for 2018 being a next key waymarker; possibly then leading to Daniel’s 70th week? Bob Jones and Ian Clayton both refer to life here in the 2050s… so adding an end-time version of Jesus’ earthly life (= the church living as mature sons (as per Clayton) and/or the bride making herself ready) may link with the 2050s references (although Clayton is a non-Rapture guy).

The ‘bookend’ concept can still apply if the extra 33 years are ignored…

THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS

Many events in the Middle East continue to contribute to the Signpost’s fulfilling of end time prophecy. Once in a while a more significant event comes along, like Erdoğan being granted dictatorial power earlier this month. This past month saw another event – though more subtle – which could be just as earth-shaking. This subtle event might not only clue us in as to how Iran could invade eastern Turkey and get away with it, but also, incredibly, give us a harbinger for when the Second Signpost is about to start!

This subtle event in the news is something the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, stated in a recent interview. It won’t sound like much unless you understand the politics and history of the region.

NOW I SAW THAT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE WAITING, PRESSING AND PURSUING HIS PRESENCE WILL RECEIVE ACCESS TO THIS PLACE OF SECRET AND DIVINE MYSTERIES, ONLY THE WILLING AND THE FUL…LY SURRENDERED WILL HAVE THEIR EYES, MINDS AND HEARTS FULLY ENLIGHTENED AND ILLUMINATED TO THIS NEW LEVEL OF HIDDEN TREASURES THAT HAVE BEEN CONCEALED AND PROTECTED UNTIL NOW, FOR THERE IS A NEW KINGDOM AGE BEING BIRTHED UPON THE EARTH.

NOW AS I DREW CLOSER IN THIS ENCOUNTER I NOTICED THAT DEEPLY ENGRAVED UPON THE GOLDEN DOOR WERE THE NUMBERS (222), AS I PRESSED IN A LITTLE CLOSER SUDDENLY I HEARD THESE WORDS, “FEAR NOT, COME, DRAW NEARER TAKE THE KEYS AND ENTER IN FOR THIS IS THE DOORWAY OF DIVINE DESTINY”, SO I STEPPED A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE GOLDEN DOOR AND AS I APPROACHED THE DOORWAY THE ANGEL OF THE LORD HELD OUT TO ME THE KEYS THAT WERE IN HIS HAND, AS I TOOK HOLD OF THE KEYS SUDDENLY IT WAS QUICKENED TO BY THE WAY OF THE SPIRIT, (Daniel 2:22, which says, “He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he is surrounded by light”).

Then suddenly the Encounter ended..!

Timing of listening to ‘Time’

G’day readers.

How did your day start as you got under way? Do you notice time seems to have different speeds when you’re getting up? Sometimes I have to get a move on to beat the clock and be ready at a specific time. One day ‘hare’ minute-hand scoots along as tho’ haring around the ‘milestone’ circle – but another day it may saunter as though half awake, and ‘tortoise’ hour-hand lies huddled in its shell.:

Soon after starting my search for ‘truth’ when a young man, I read that time’s related to consciousness. So I noticed its measure may depend upon alertness.

Decades later and living at a more leisurely pace I notice this puzzles me. For example, in the bathroom I’m usually wide awake when swiping a razor around my face – rarely am I drowsy and, if needing to be on the move, I keep an eye on my watch as it sneakily heads for a deadline.

I’ve noticed differences on some days between how much I can get done in that early half-hour. Maybe my wrist-watch speeds up or down, or maybe it’s simply all down to my body-clock. Even so I’d agree with Justin Abrahams’ claim that, of its own nature, time does go at different speeds – maybe I get my own ‘time bubble’ in the bathroom! But I’d much prefer to learn the practicalities of his claim to having done a two-hour wash, wax and polish of his car in half an hour!!

After posting the first announcement about Justin’s podcast on engaging Time in February I found the timing of my listening to it was intriguing!

podomatic-justin-abraham-time2 My first attempt at listening on my phone failed to work. Not having done this on my phone before I found out later that the talk did download but I needed a better ‘ap’. Anyway, it was much better this way because it grabbed my attention when I was able to give it. Had it worked it would have distracted me from a personally relevant event at the conference I was going to.

At least a couple of aspects of what Justin teaches on that podcast were relevant to that event as well as to other recent things. First, I’m amused I’d been thinking of something from dim, distant days – “He who grieves most, grieves for wasted time”. It was one of many such quotations that had been used to prompt me to search seriously for the truth and meaning of life just before the famous Beatles turned into hippies and then got into transcendental mediation.

A Few Thoughts on ‘Time’

I hope anyone who followed my suggestion to listen to Justin’s podcast (here) didn’t find his excited assertions too daunting. Perhaps his approach is too ‘off-the-wall’ for some, yet his experiences and insights are worthy of due consideration and reflection.

Those of ‘glued-on’ adherence to the literal Bible text and fixed interpretation, according to whichever adopted translation is cleaved to, may have difficulty with his challenging but Biblically-based concepts. I very much like his familiarity with scientific concepts, from which most Christians shy away. It’s something I’d urge my brethren to get to grips with in order to marvel even more at Father’s handiwork.

Without being in any way dismissive, however, it would be interesting to see evidence for Justin’s claims regarding postage dates. Also, as above, I’m ambitious to clean, wax and polish the car in such an unexpected short time-span as he experienced for two! 🙂

I recalled what Charles Shamp taught on the prophet Daniel travelling in time and seeing the stars at Jesus’ birth, thus leaving instructions on what the Magi should look for in the sky and why (Supermoon Monday’s ‘blood moon’ and The Age to Come refers).

Bobby Conner – Time Disappeared

Also, I was reminded of what Bobby Conner said in Bath city about ten years ago. After returning from a trip, he phoned his wife Carolyn from the airport to let her know when to expect him home. It’s usually well over an hour’s journey, so his thoughts turned to the Lord whilst driving. Only twenty minutes later Bobby came to the junction for the road leading to their house – total time: under half hour! Huh?

Miraculous, or a tall story? And is it Biblical?? My overview Eternity and Prophecy refer to three examples in scripture of time having been distorted and broken. And remember…

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no-one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end…

I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it, God does it, that man should fear before Him.

That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been; and God seeks an account of what is pursued [so that history repeats itself – Amplified Bible]. (Ecclesiastes 3:11 Amp; 14-15 NKJV)

On engaging and governing Time – introduction

Our consideration of the convergence of scripture and modern science begins with this expanded version of a post published on 18 February 2016. We’ll learn how the theories of relativity and quantum physics – under-girded by the ‘queen of sciences’, mathematics – may match the supra-natural nature of God’s word in the holy Bible. Attention is drawn in particular to the important concept at the concluding section – last but not least!

Brexit Briefing 2 – the truth of the matter by ‘Stay or Leave?’ author

When the referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU began hotting up this blog was blessed with contributions from readers and others. Neil Mackereth offered his helpful and succinct ‘executive summary’ with several flagged appendices on the real nature of the EU – see UK/EU in/out #2 – Stay or Leave?

I’m grateful to Neil for offering his latest observations for our consideration, as follows:

THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH?

Introduction

Recent failures in election polling predictions at home and abroad show a trend where the expected is trumped (no pun intended) by the unexpected. In pondering on the startling events of recent months I have been wondering whether we can draw any conclusions to help guide our prayers and actions.

A spiritual indifference has taken root in the world today. The rulers, leaders, decision makers and diplomats are trying to solve problems using the wisdom of this age – their own “wisdom”, world-view, self-interest, conceit and disdain (see 1 Corinthians 2:6, 14.).

In what follows, I look first at some broad spiritual aspects before focussing on secular Brexit matters and then considering the spiritual implications of Brexit.

A Spiritual Perspective

We have a God of surprises.

As always, God is in control and is working out His purposes. We need to keep our spiritual eyes and ears open in these turbulent times and seek to understand the Kingdom significance of events. We may not know what God is doing but we can still choose to go with Him in the fulfilment of His purposes, even though they are a mystery to us. Whatever happens, it is maintaining our relationship with Jesus that is paramount.

Everything that Jesus said, and everything written by the prophets, will be fulfilled. The test is whether we believe that God knows what He is doing; that everything that happens is not random but entirely in His ruling and judgement. Do we absolutely trust the wit and wisdom of God rather than relying on our own experience and ideas?

A Secular Perspective

Now let us look at some indicators on the political and economic fronts.

America is caught up in election fever and Europe is facing murderous security challenges and suffering Brexit aftershocks. There are burgeoning political, economic and security problems that could easily lead to the collapse of the EU.

Are EU leaders telling the truth?

A year or so ago, we were encouraged to believe that if Greece were to leave the EU it would be disastrous for the Union. However, now that the UK, a net contributor to the EU and an economy which, in GDP terms, is 15 times larger than Greece, we are told that our leaving is “manageable”

Similarly, there were special arrangements made to help Cyprus: it is also clear that Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain have grave economic problems. They are a severe drain on EU finances and have a negative effect on moving forward with the federal vision.

It is disingenuous to suggest that Brexit is not a serious, serious problem for the EU economy. Britain’s GDP is bigger than Austria’s, Belgium’s, Sweden’s, Netherlands’, Ireland’s, Finland’s and Greece’s combined. UK and Germany are the only net contributors to the EU budget.

Furthermore, London is the leading financial marketplace and has the most active foreign-exchange market, the largest international debt market, the biggest money markets and the highest level of derivatives trading. London ranks No1 on the Global Financial Centres Index.

The real question is not whether the UK will weather the storm but whether the EU will!

What impact will a continuing EU meltdown have on the global economy and are there any precedents to guide us?

Surprising as it may seem, the former Soviet Union (USSR) may provide some insight on a possible course of events.

The USSR was established on the basis of a centrally controlled economy. The EU model is not quite the same but there are various parallels.

In the early years the USSR economy grew reasonably well. However, there followed a period of stagnation, a developing era of economic and social discontent and a growing nationalistic fervour within the 15 states of the Union. The roots of this nationalism, the different languages, ethnic and tribal groupings, religious and cultural heritage, and other distinctions of custom and practice, were fed in part by the economic instability and eventually led to the collapse of the USSR.

Similar fault lines can be seen in the EU today. The comparisons are quite startling and can be researched in more detail on the internet. Suffice it to say, there has been growth followed by stagnation and, after the 2008 debt crises, rising unemployment and ensuing economic decline. Corruption and nepotism are on the increase, as is a growing resentment of centralised bureaucracy.

The PIGS countries (Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain) stumble from debt crisis to debt crisis.

These tensions have encouraged anti-EU sentiment and political activity particularly within member states like Hungary, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Greece. Separatist movements are gaining support in much the same way as they did in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Azerbaijan from 1986 onwards.

In both the USSR and the EU the central governments, initially credited with creating economic wellbeing, found that they could not cope with the growing economic challenges.

The flaw in the USSR model was an inflexible, all-encompassing central bureaucracy.

In the EU, it is an unwieldy central monetary policy which, in effect, imposes a single interest rate on all countries and leads to an unmanageable imbalance between strong and weak economies. Furthermore, those countries that have embraced the Euro have lost the ability to control their financial destinies: they can no longer act independently to manage their economic challenges in a way that is specific to their individual needs.

So What?

Brexit is a catalyst event that threatens to precipitate the break-up of the EU. It is propelling the various anti-EU political movements to renewed vigour. Hard-line Eurosceptic parties are making strong gains – what they thought improbable (leaving the EU) they now see as a distinct possibility.

Whatever people may say, Brexit is the most serious crisis the EU has ever faced.

Spiritual Implications

Notwithstanding the clear vote for UK to leave, we are in an interregnum, a time between membership of the EU and our return to independent nationhood. We know where we are going but we are not there yet.

It is undoubtedly a time for earnest prayer.

What has happened? God has ensured (against expectations and the polls) that:

The Conservative Party, having promised a referendum on EU membership, was elected to government with an overall majority.
Mr Cameron honoured the referendum pledge.
The Labour Party, which might have influenced the Remain vote, is in disarray.
The people voted to leave the EU.
Mr Cameron (having fulfilled his role in God’s plan) has been replaced (virtually unopposed) by Theresa May, a practicing/professing Christian.
The doomsayers are repeatedly being proved wrong about stock market confidence and UK economic trends – the forecast recession has not materialised and seems less likely with each new set of results. [Regular updates at Why Leave the EU?]
The UK successes in the Olympic Games have surpassed all expectations. [See Prophetic Words on GB as Sports-superpower.]

What are my conclusions from this? God has decreed that Britain is to be born again. God has heard the prayers of a British remnant crying in the wilderness: He is in the process of removing Great Britain from an unholy alliance and breaking the web of inappropriate soul ties that have been insidiously constructed over the last 40 years.

The signs of demonic influence in the EU are startlingly obvious, to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. The EU is on a course to disaster and God is rescuing the UK to be a tower of strength, a light in a dark place, in the time of need that is fast approaching.

Prayer

We are not there yet. Fervent prayer is needed: “So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes” (Daniel 9:3). It is clear from Daniel’s prayer in chapter 9 that even though we think we know the course we are on; it is still necessary to pray expectations into reality. We do not know why it should be so, but it is clear from Scripture, history and our experiences, that God wants us to be involved in His purposes.

The battle is raging in the heavenly realms. As in Daniel 10, princes are fighting to retain their territories and seek to thwart God’s plans. However, the angels of God are advancing; defeating delaying tactics and recovering lands: victory is assured.

We have so much to be thankful for, so much has been set in train by God’s design: now we most earnestly pray for God’ mercy and forgiveness, and for the fulfillment of the reestablishment of Great Britain as an independent nation under God.

Did PM Thatcher describe the EU in terms of Daniel 7 prophecy?

Ever so rarely do I bother getting a Sunday paper: maybe I was nudged into getting last Sunday’s just to read this exceptionally remarkable quotation by Christopher Booker.:

‘In the only two speeches I have made in this referendum campaign, I quoted that startling passage from Margaret Thatcher’s last book in 2003 where she wrote:

“That such an unnecessary and irrational project as building a European super-state was ever embarked on will seem in future years to be perhaps the greatest folly of the modern era. And that Britain, with her traditional strengths and global destiny, should ever have become part of it, will appear a political error of the first magnitude.”

‘Back in 1975, we may recall, when Mrs Thatcher had just become Tory leader, she played a very prominent role in the campaign to keep us in the Common Market. But after 11 years as prime minister, at “the heart of Europe”, she had completely reversed her view. This was because she had come to realise that everything she had originally been told about the real nature and purpose of the “European project” was wrong. (Emphases RB)

‘She had come to understand that its only real agenda in all it did was to work towards “ever-closer union”, under a form of governance like nothing the world had ever seen before.

‘The purpose was to weld all Europe together under a government that was “supranational”, never intended to be accountable or democratic and was based on gradually removing from member states any important power to govern themselves.’.

The phrase I’ve emboldened above in Christopher Brooker’s remarks could be his own perception of the late Lady’s opinion. Or perhaps it really was hers?

Nevertheless, it struck me as being closely similar to the description and explanation the OT prophet Daniel was given of an horrific beast seen in a night vision about the future and times just before Jesus Christ’s return.

Chapter 7 of his book recounts that dream of watching four beasts emerge from the sea (of peoples/nations) – first a lion, next a bear and then one like a leopard with four heads:

“After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast – terrifying and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, it had ten horns.” (Dan 7:7 NIV)

The dream continued by focusing on a horn that uprooted three of the others and began speaking blasphemously and waging war against and defeating the saints. The court of ‘The Ancient of Days’ was convened and judgement made against this horned beast and, unlike the others, it was slain and its body cast into ‘the blazing fire’. Then Daniel saw ‘one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven’ (ie: Yeshua Ha Messiach, Jesus Christ); verses 13-14 refer:

“…He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His Presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshipped Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His Kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”

Readers will recall that Jesus referred to Himself as ‘Son of Man’ and to Daniel’s book when teaching upon the forthcoming fall of Jerusalem His return (Matt 24).

But the distinct peculiarity of that symbolic, spiritual ‘beast’ was stressed again by the one who was with him and whom Daniel asked what they were watching. I’m copying verse 23 from my old NIV Insight Bible along with my emphasis therein:

“…He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on the earth. It will be (NB:) different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it…”

This imagery is similar to the legs and feet of the statue in king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, which Daniel interpreted as signifying and prophesying about his and later kingdoms (see chapter 2).

Both refer to a trampling and crushing of people in their subjugation by rulers or peoples. That description is also said to be the definition of the Arabic term for ISIS terrorists – ‘daesh’. (For an informed opinion read here.) So, some scholars and commentators offer the opinion that scripture may refer to and foresee the existence of ISIS, and that the personification of Anti-christ will thus be a Muslim. Without emphasising that Arabic term, authors Mark Davidson and Nelson Walters, for example, have produced some historical considerations that build upon Joel Richardson’s thesis about such an identity.

However, the more we learn about what is happening in Europe the more inclined I am to think there may be more merit to the older, yet relatively modern, theological ideas that the one or other of Revelation 13 beasts will come out of the revived Roman Empire – the EU. After all, the second one has power over buying and selling and people would be unable to do that without having been given that beast’s mark, the number of which is 666. One of my earliest email refers to this number in connection with the appointment of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Policy & Security, as the investigator Herb Peters discovered about 25 years ago. Furthermore, couldn’t the open and veiled threats emanating from our government and those in the EU be similar to the ‘trampling and devouring’ prophesied in Daniel 7:7 ?

Of course there’s much more to a deeper consideration of these scripture, but I offer my thoughts on this specific similarity for what they may be worth.

NB: please note I’m no fan of that past prime minister in view of the way the department in which I worked was ‘privatised’.

Think Tank: Iran’s preparations confirm Second Signpost

Developments continue unabated of the scenario I first noticed in mid-80’s (which introduced me to the accuracy of biblical End-times prophecy – 2nd link below refers). THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS

Daniel Revisited chapter 10 gives a detailed account of how Iran is both fulfilling and will fulfill prophetic Scripture in Daniel 7 and 8 regarding the great invasion by Iran of the Middle East. This great invasion is coming. It is next. It is imminent. This is the Second Signpost. It is the great war to stretch across the Middle East. It will involve troop numbers not seen since Hussein’s war with Iran in the 1980s. And it will be a global game changer.

Daniel Revisited says of the forces to be used for Iran’s actual ground invasion of the Middle East,

“It will most likely be the IRGC that will use its forces to deal with various strategic targets when the invasion begins. I believe the Basij’s potential to overwhelm with its numbers will be behind the bulk of the invasion.” (Daniel Revisited, p. 199, TN edition)

UK/EU in/out #8: EU’s Tusk tacitly admits ‘Brexit Boris’ correct on EU’s aims

Has Europe’s political ‘bubble’ burst? At least it’s got to a tipping point. An unexpected confession from Donald Tusk, the first East European president of the European Council, may indicate things are about to change. Here’s what happened:

A mini-storm erupted on 15th May as a result of the Sunday Telegraph’s Boris Johnson: The EU wants a superstate, just as Hitler did. Their senior political correspondent Tim Ross’ opening gambit of this interview reads:

‘The European Union is pursuing a similar goal to Hitler in trying to create a powerful superstate, Boris Johnson says. In a dramatic interview with the Telegraph, he warns that while bureaucrats in Brussels are using “different methods” from the Nazi dictator, they share the aim of unifying Europe under one “authority”.

‘But the EU’s “disastrous” failures have fuelled tensions between member states and allowed Germany to grow in power, “take over” the Italian economy and “destroy” Greece, he warns…’

Ross refers to this former mayor of London being a keen classical scholar. Boris argues that the past 2,000 years of European history were characterised by repeated attempts to unify Europe under a single government in order to recover the continent’s lost “golden age” under the Romans.:

“Napoleon, Hitler, various people tried this out, and it ends tragically,” he says. “The EU is an attempt to do this by different methods. But fundamentally what is lacking is the eternal problem, which is that there is no underlying loyalty to the idea of Europe. There is no single authority that anybody respects or understands. That is causing this massive democratic void.”

As a consequence of mentioning Hitler and the EU in the same breath, ‘Brexiteer Boris’ was pilloried by party and press – but not Joe Public!

However, Boris Johnson has since been vindicated by no less a person than the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk!

It is clear from his lambasting of EU officials that, without explicitly stating Boris’ opinion is valid, the EU chief responsible for developing the Union’s objectives and priorities does agree with the British leader’s understanding of its ultimate goal of unification and methodology in achieving it!

In other words, the EU really DOES want a superstate of totally utopian integration.

This is as plain as a pikestaff : Tusk’s blunt warning to EU leaders that their “utopian” illusions are tearing Europe apart…(forcing) through yet more integration would be a grave mistake…EU elite are living in a fool’s paradise… “Obsessed with the idea of instant and total integration”. (Brief Update to In/out #7 and in-depth report refer – for details of EU structure read this.)

Also vindicated are all those who noticed decades ago that that’s where Europe was heading. This includes not only those in the secular world but also Christians familiar with Bible prophecies. A number of theologians and teachers, principally American, were led to conclude that Nebuchadnezzar’s’ vision of a statue and prophet Daniel’s shocking one of the Fourth Beast (chapters 2 & 7 of Book of Daniel), as well as the Book of Revelation, prophesy a revived Roman Empire. Hence, theologians became very suspicious of the 20th Century European project.

One modern investigator discovered that the EU’s Recommendation 666 may relate to the prophesied anti-christ, in view of its establishing a special office: High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, for which Frederica Mogherini is the incumbent. Her predecessor, Baroness Ashton, was involved with framing the infamous Iranian Nuclear Deal. (For more see items 1 – 3 below.)

INTEGRATION INSIGHT FROM FRANCE

Telegraph’s deputy editor Allister Heath, grew up in France and writes of what was taught “openly and explicitly” at school there: ‘the EU was the obvious, rational future, the only way war could be avoided and the best way to protect our social models from the ravages of “Anglo-Saxon” markets.’ (!!)

‘It was made consistently clear that the EU was a political project that used economics as a tool of state-building; the single market was created because all countries have a free internal market, not because the EU’s founding fathers believed in international free trade.’

‘There are two possibilities if we vote to stay: eventual abrupt disintegration, or further EU integration…(detailed explanation of consequences)…Voting to Remain would thus be a geopolitical disaster for the UK, a historical failure.’

Even more telling is this well-informed comment:

‘The EU was always intended by its founders to be a process (4 below)– a mechanism by which formerly independent European countries gradually bind themselves together into an ever-closer union. Crises were seen as useful flashpoints that would trigger a further push to integration, and its central institutions were deliberately designed to seek and accrue power.‘ (Emphases added)

Read Allister Heath’s full article: There is no safety inside the arrogant, imperial, and dangerously unstable EU and note his conclusion:

‘It’s self-evidently normal to be independent and prosperous: just look at America, Australia, Canada or Singapore. But there are no known examples of a previously independent democracy being subsumed into a dysfunctional, economically troubled technocracy and doing well as a result. As mad gambles go, it is hard to think of anything worse.’

A PROPHETIC INSIGHT?

Just pause a moment with me and reflect. A week ago today I had a hunch about the Lord exposing something major and rotten in the EU, as told here. I supposed this may relate to another crash of its shaky financial system.

But the Lord did better than I dared hope: a frank admission was to come from the very top of the EU about its anti-democratic nature!. Praise You Lord.

AND in answer to this prayer, blind eyes are opening!

FLAG A

1. Tower of Babel – EU HQ Strasbourg

Apart from signposting the pitfalls of pride and idolatry, what significance does the Tower of Babel have today?

It may shock you to learn that the European Union Parliament building in Strasbourg is modeled on the unfinished Tower of Babel, as depicted in a painting by Brueghel (see poster image below). Here is a photograph of the EU Parliament building in Strasbourg, and below is an architectural model of the building:

Now take a look at the picture below:

The picture on the right was an early EU poster which, after considerable protest, was dropped. But the picture had done the damage. It had divulged the secret of the inspiration for the design of the EU building. There seems little doubt that the EU parliament building was modeled on Breughel’s painting of the Tower of Babel (seen on the left).

More controversial are suggestions that the inverted star symbols represent satanic inverted pentagrams.

Doesn’t it seem strange that anyone would choose to model the EU Parliament building on a tower built in defiance of God? Is it deliberate, coincidental, or a sign – a sign not only of the re-emergence of Babylon on the world stage but a sign also of the End Times?

2. A Woman Rides the Beast

The first statue above is in front of the EU parliament building in Strasburg and the second below is in front of the Winston Churchill building, also in Strasburg.:

Is there some prophetic significance in the name Europe, its origins, and/or the woman riding the beast? The mythology is that “Europa” was a Phoenician noblewoman who was seduced by Zeus who was disguised as a bull. He carried her off to Crete and raped her. Europa subsequently became queen of Crete.

‘Europa seated on a bull’ has been a motif in European art since Greco-Roman times, and in the eighth century Europa gained ecclesiastical usage under Charlemagne. Today, Europe is called Europa in most Germanic languages.

The link that is made by some is with the Woman and beast references in Revelation 17 and 18. She is referred to in Revelation as Babylon the Great, the mother of prostitutes and of the abomination of the earth (Rev 17.5). There is much debate and conjecture on the metaphors and symbolism in these chapters. Suffice it to say, we are advised to have nothing to do with her.

3. Pergamum Altar – Berlin

Pergamum was one of the cities in Asia Minor (modern Turkey) where Roman influence can be most clearly seen. Situated on a hill there was an altar to Zeus where historians and archaeologists now believe the Roman Emperor was worshipped by the citizens of the city. Every year, on the Emperor’s birthday, the Caesar of the day was adored by people throughout his Empire who addressed him as ‘son of god’, ‘saviour of the world’, and ‘lord.’

In the Book of Revelation, Jesus dictates a letter to the Apostle John, which includes the line:

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.” (Rev 2.13)
The throne mentioned here can only refer to one thing – the temple-like structure which is known as the Pergamum Altar, built around 200BC. This temple is also mentioned by the Roman historian Tacitus (56-117AD) in his Annals, and in Plutarch’s (45-120 AD) Life of Caesar. The mound on which it was situated is still visible today.

From what John sees and hears it seems that from the Ascended Christ’s perspective Pergamum is the location in Asia Minor where it can be safely said that “Satan has his throne” and where “Satan lives.”

Let’s now fast forward nearly 2000 years. In 1878 the German engineer and archaeologist Carl Humann started excavating the Pergamum Altar. In 1902 Kaiser Wilhelm II ordered that the whole structure, including the Gigantomachy Frieze, be transported to Berlin. The 113 metre sculptured frieze around the base of the altar depicts the struggle between the gods and the giants in Greek mythology. The altar was reconstructed, first in the Kaiser Freidrich Museum and subsequently moved to the specially built Pergamon Museum, on Museum Island. Kaiser Wilhelm II claimed this was the greatest achievement of his reign.

In 1933, Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany and in 1934 he ordered the building of a Tribune at Zeppelin Field in Nuremberg. The architect, Albert Speer, is said to have used the Pergamum Altar as a model for the much larger scale “Zeppelintribune”. It took three years to build and it was from a podium at the centre of this vast edifice that Hitler took the salute during the Nazi rallies in Nuremberg.

4. Ishtar Gate – Berlin

The Ishtar Gate and Processional Way were built by Nebuchadnezzar II in c 575 BC. They formed the main and ceremonial entry route to the inner city of Babylon (there were seven lesser gates). It was dedicated to Ishtar, revered goddess of fertility, love, war and sex. Some scholars believe that, just as the Babylonian military and intellectual influence spread across the world, so too did their religion.

There is speculation that the different names, Eostra or Ostara (a Germanic pagan goddess) and Easter, may originate from Ishtar. The Benedictine monk Saint Bede chronicled that Easter took its name from “Eostre”, an Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring. The Romans, in attempts at unity, were known to have combined festivals, their names and practices, in order to appease differing religious and pagan beliefs. If Easter is derived from Ishtar, that might make many of us think about the pagan origins of a major Christian festival.

BabylonReconstruction

The Ishtar Gate and Processional Way (an artists’ impression is shown above) were excavated by Robert Koldewey between 1899 and 1914. Its reconstruction in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin was completed in 1930, though some parts are so huge they are held in store.

There is a mass of information on the Internet about the gate, and a plethora of opinion, in which there is a considerable mixing of fact and fiction, myth, scientific study and archaeological findings. All this makes objective analysis very difficult. However, there are mythological references to the goddess Ishtar visiting hell and to the Ishtar Gate being the very entrance to hell. The depiction of 337 snake god images on the gate may have significance in Hebrew numerology, as the number 337 is said to represent hell.

You may feel that this connection and the Ishtar symbolism generally are overplayed. You may regard it all as just plain weird. Or you may come to the conclusion that this is an example of truth being stranger than fiction. Whatever your view, there is strong evidence to support the contention that the EU Parliament building is modelled on the Tower of Babel. Furthermore, there is no doubt that the Pergamon Altar and the Ishtar Gate stand in Berlin.

5. Shiva – CERN Geneva

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, straddles the Swiss French border. Strictly speaking CERN is not an EU research project but rather a European lead cooperative scientific research venture. The 12 founding states, Belgium, Denmark, France, the Federal Republic of Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Yugoslavia, established CERN in 1954. The organization was subsequently joined by Austria (1959), Spain (1961-1969, re-joined 1983), Portugal (1985), Finland (1991), Poland (1991), Czechoslovak Republic (1992), Hungary (1992), Bulgaria (1999) and Israel (2014). The Czech Republic and Slovak Republic re-joined CERN after their mutual independence in 1993. Yugoslavia left in 1961. Today CERN has 21 member states.

CERN came to public attention when scientists using the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) identified the elusive Higgs Boson particle in 2013. There has been growing concern about the work that CERN does, especially from those who believe the scientists are “playing God.” CERN has tried to allay the disquiet by stating that the Large Haldron Collider (LHC) experiments are not trying to “open a door to another dimension.”

CERN recently explained that the statue of the Hindu god Shiva, a complex deity sometimes termed “The Destroyer”, in front of its Geneva HQ (shown here), was a gift from the Indian government. India is one of CERN’s “observer states” along with Russia, Japan and the US.

There is a wealth of information and countless “conspiracy theories” available on the internet – treat with caution.

6. Babylon

The story of Babylon is interwoven in the timeline of Scripture. We have already looked at some strange and disturbing symbolism on the global stage today. Here I want to add some historical depth to FLAG A and FLAG B

Babylon is first mentioned in Genesis 10, a chapter that is sometimes referred to as “the table of nations” because it lists the countries founded by the descendants of Noah, after the flood.

Noah’s great grandson Nimrod, “a mighty warrior on the earth”, established a kingdom in Shinar that included Babylon (synonymous with Babel) as one of its centres. Shinar is thought to have been an area between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates in what is now Iraq, formerly Mesopotamia. Babylon was on the Euphrates, located about 55 miles south of modern-day Baghdad.

The first event of note concerning Babylon, recorded in Genesis 11, is the building of the Tower of Babel, which most scholars agree was a ziggurat, a many tiered structure with ramps leading upwards from each level to the next.

It seems that the people of Babylon were building the tower as a symbol of their own greatness. It was a statement of identity, self-worth and pride: it was not built to honour God.

The Bible records that God stopped the building, the builders were dispersed and the common and only language spoken by the world’s population became many languages.

Genesis 11 is foundational in establishing Babylon as a picture of a city of rebellion against God. From then on, references in the Bible indicate that Babylon is symbolic of sin, depravity, and defiance (e.g.1 Peter 5:13; Revelation 17.5).

Perhaps no one expressed the origins of Babylon more eloquently than Josephus, a Jewish historian in the first century (an exact contemporary with some of the New Testament authors). He describes the extraordinary pride of the ruler called Nimrod who inspired the people of his city to build something that clearly sought to dethrone God:

‘Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power… Now the multitude were very ready to follow the determination of Nimrod and to esteem it a piece of cowardice to submit to God; and they built a tower, neither sparing any pains, nor being in any degree negligent about the work: and, by reason of the multitude of hands employed in it, it grew very high, sooner than any one could expect; but the thickness of it was so great, and it was so strongly built, that thereby its great height seemed, upon the view, to be less than it really was. It was built of burnt brick, cemented together with mortar, made of bitumen that it might not be liable to admit water. When God saw that they acted so madly, he did not resolve to destroy them utterly, since they were not grown wiser by the destruction of the former sinners [in the Flood]; but he caused a tumult among them, by producing in them diverse languages, and causing that, through the multitude of those languages, they should not be able to understand one another. The place wherein they built the tower is now called Babylon, because of the confusion of that language which they readily understood before; for the Hebrews mean by the word Babel, confusion.’

Coming back to the possibility EU being the new Babylon: why is the Europa symbol (a woman on a beast) so widespread? Is it merely symbolising Europe or is there some other prophetic significance?

“There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names ….” (Rev 17.3)

Most theologians agree that this prophecy refers to an end times world order where the woman symbolises an ‘ecclesiastical Babylon’ and the beast symbolises a ‘political and commercial (economic) Babylon’. Revelation 17 describes the woman as ‘Babylon the Great’ whilst Revelation 18 describes the fall of commercial or economic Babylon. In simplistic terms, a corrupt apostate church rides (and therefore by implication, controls) a corrupt and brutal political and economic system. If Europa (Europe) really is moving towards a fulfilment of this prophecy then we can expect to see a world political system and a world economic system developing the EU.

7. What Does Scripture Say About Alliances

Peter Horrobin, founder-director of Ellel Ministries International, posted his ‘Thoughts on the coming referendum on membership of the European Union’ on his blog of 24 March 2016 under the title ‘In or Out?’

After a brief introduction to the matter Peter writes, ‘As I meditated on the situation and prayed about how I should vote, God turned my thoughts to the story of King Jehoshaphat, as it is told in Chapters 17-20 of 2 Chronicles….

He’s drawn to the following conclusion:

‘After Jehoshaphat realised what he had done through his marital, political and military relationship with Ahab, God gave him an opportunity to repent and change direction once more. He took it and the subsequent years were the most prosperous and God-protected of his entire reign. In some ways I now see this coming referendum as being like an opportunity for the whole nation to repent of the decision it made in 1975, in ignorance of what membership of the EU would mean.

‘But now we know what it has meant and what it will mean, and we have a one-time opportunity to choose whether or not we are going to remain in alliance with a type of Ahab or Ahaziah, through which we lose both our sovereignty and the potential to be a God inspired nation. Or, we can choose to take back into our own hands the future destiny of our government, our laws and our finances.

‘You may say that it won’t make any difference, for our own government has not shown any desire to return to our spiritual foundations, an opinion with which I, sadly, have to agree. But the difference is this: with the UK inside Europe, if leaders were to rise up in the future with the intent of changing things, to bring the UK more in line with God’s laws, they would have no legal authority to change anything – because everything would be subservient to our masters in Brussels. Even if God were to raise up a modern-day ‘Joseph’, ‘Daniel’ or a repentant ‘Jehoshaphat’, inside the EU they would be impotent.

‘But, released from the shackles of what I now see as an ungodly alliance, who knows what God could still do in and through this nation?

‘I do not believe that God has forgotten our history, or the blood of the Christian martyrs who have laid down their lives and I would agree with the implication of what Archbishop William Temple said during the second world war – that God still has a purpose for this nation in the times that are yet to come before Jesus returns.

‘There are those who are saying that for the economic benefit of the nation and our workers we need to remain within the trading community that is the EU. However, let us not forget the painful lesson that Jehoshaphat learned the hard way – that trading alliances with the wrong partners will not be a source of blessing.

‘So, for deeply spiritual reasons – reasons that you will not see talked about in the Newspapers, or hear about on TV, I have come to the conclusion that it is time for the UK to cut itself free from alliances which undermine our sovereignty and limit our capacity to make our own laws. On the 23^rd of June I will be voting to leave the EU – but I’m already praying for those hidden ‘Jehoshaphats’, ‘Daniels’ and ‘Josephs’ to come to the fore of public life, and start steering our nation back to the godly roots from which it has currently wandered so far.’

EU Referendum Deception – 1975 and now!

The European Union is of serious concern for those interested in Bible prophecy. Some theologians and commentators consider it may be the disturbing beast OT prophet Daniel saw in a very vivid vision. He was told this “fourth beast shall be a kingdom different from all other kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth” (see Daniel 7).

In 1973 the British people were tricked into entering membership of the European Union. The Prime Minister responsible for the original deal, Edward Heath (nicknamed ‘Heath the teeth’ for his smile), readily admitted before he died that he lied (through his teeth!) to Parliament and the people.

Heath knew the EU wasn’t just a trading partnership but that the UK would eventually lose its sovereign identity! The real intention behind The Treaty of Rome’s establishment of a West European trading union has always been to work towards forming a political and financial federation – a United States of Europe.

In reference to that, Revd Dr Clifford Hill writes in ProphecyTodayUK (re-posted here),

“This fact was deliberately kept hidden from the British public when we voted at the 1975 referendum on whether or not we should stay in the ‘European Economic Community’ (‘Common Market’) as it was then described. In those days it was largely a trading group with nine member states, whereas today the EU is a very different beast, with 28 members in a tightly regulated organisation bound by treaties, such as Maastricht and Lisbon, and controlled by an unelected Commission backed by an enormous bureaucracy, with institutions such as the European Parliament and the European Court of Justice exercising enormous power over our own parliament and legal courts.”

And that’s just one reason why I object in principle to the EU – the main one being that it’s a spiritual issue and one all Christians need to be well-aware of in deciding which way to vote in June’s referendum. BUT how many are?

Also, it’s not just that the EU’s accounts haven’t been able to be signed off for several years because of gross irregularities, corruption and contingency slush-funding! Or the never-ending interference with our laws and infringements upon our liberties (eg. free-speech and Christian belief) etc, etc, etc…

Mini-Series on UK/EU

Although not following the debate closely I’ve read several useful articles that are worth bringing to my reader’s attention. Had it not been such a busy month I’d have posted them separately but am now catching up by posting a series of scripturally-related and rhema-prophetical pieces for auto-publication over the next few days.

I trust this will not inundate you but that you’ll find the posts worth mulling over at leisure. This information will also be available for reference via a new hub on the main-menu.

Well-Informed Opinions

Last Monday I read perhaps the most perspicacious insight in Charles Moore: Notebook – Trade Deals Are Red Herrings in the EU Debate. Writing from the perspective of being one of the privileged upper-class of the ruling ‘elite’, he hints at behind-the-scenes motives which may reinforce New World Order conspiracy theories:

‘One of the most important features of the Westminster system of parliamentary democracy is that it allows voters to throw out one lot and put another in. This can never happen in the EU system. So the careers of the well-educated, unelected, “civilised” people who run the show are unimpeded by the will of the people.

‘Perhaps because I come from that class, I agree that a high education is a good thing and accept that societies must have their elites, but I also believe that the British genius has been to create a political system in which the common interest of the whole nation can be represented politically. This is impossible in the EU, where there is a ruling class on the one hand, and a sweaty mob (as the ruling class sees it), on the other. If you like that sort of system, when you contemplate your navel, you will vote to Remain.’

Previous Telegraph editor Charles goes on to recommend “by far the best book setting out all European issues” Why Vote Leave? by Daniel Hannan.

Next, politico-religious blogger ‘Archbishop Cranmer’ notes in Owen Paterson: Cameron has “lost touch” with the Counties and will most likely lose his head.:

“The further you go from London, the stronger the feeling is,” said former Environment Secretary Owen Paterson, speaking of England’s deep strains of Euroscepticism. “I do get the slight sense it’s a bit like the Civil War when Charles I sadly completely lost touch with what was happening in the counties,” he added, casting David Cameron as the out-of-touch Prime Minister whose inescapable fate is to lose his head, if he hasn’t already done so. There is a battle going on for the soul of Europe, and the British government has turned its back on all true patriots and democrats, just like the English government of the 17th century didn’t lift a finger to help the Protestant cause. You can gag the pulpits from preaching predestination, but you can’t stop the people searching the scriptures.

‘Owen Paterson’s speech was intelligent and thoughtful. As Dr Eamonn Butler summarised for the Adam Smith Institute: “His basic point is that the EU is not the ‘status quo’ but something that is rapidly moving to destinations that are uncertain and dangerous, particularly for the UK; and that being outside is the safer, more stable option.” And in response to a question, we heard a summary exposition of the transcendent Euro-reality:

‘But this is not a Tory Party issue. This really is not a Tory Party issue. This is our one chance the first time since 1975 – and it divides people of all political parties. What we should be grateful to David Cameron for is that he’s given us the opportunity, and we must not blow it. That’s the point I’m making here. If we blow it, we will have this very unsatisfactory, very unclear, new ‘associate status’. We’ll be outvoted in the Parliament, we’ll be outvoted in the Council, and we’ll be under the cosh of the European Court. That is a highly unsatisfactory destination.

2017, the significance of 70 years and Smith-Wigglesworth’s vision

Upon reading the full transcript of Malcolm Duncan’s message it resonated deeply within my spirit – as well as directly relating to personal experiences. Please bear with me as some of it necessitates reiteration.

Revd Malcolm Duncan We should note Malcolm’s reservations mirror those of Wigglesworth’s contemporaries over his unorthodox, questionable ministry methods – but whatever the Lord wanted to heal or expel got accomplished. (Bobby Conner recounts his astonishment at seeing a dubious church leader in Jesus’ presence but being rebuked because he’s the Lord’s servant!) Malcolm’s remarks upon weighing what the Lord may be saying is an object lesson in the prophetic. NB:

“…Denis shouted “And brother I came into the kingdom in 1947” and the minute he said it I thought, “I think God is saying something to me”.
“I think Denis…he used you as a prophetic voice…So what came into my head was “the Smith Wigglesworth prophecy of 1947”.
“I turned to Pauline and said, “Did Smith Wigglesworth prophesy his prophecy in 1947?”, and she said, “I don’t know but I was born in 1947”.
“But as soon as I heard Denis I thought of the Smith Wigglesworth prophecy, which was very unusual for me and made me think, “What are you saying Lord?” I went back and I read it again and thought – “There is something stirring in my spirit here.” (Emphasis added)

Pauline’s reaction is mine too for I always recall that vision’s year is my birth year. Also, the timing of 50 years until my witnessing his prayer partner’s ecstatic joy at also seeing what will be happening across the British Isles is etched in my memory, as told in the previous post.

Yet there’s another reason – and it connects into Malcolm’s thoughts on 70 years as being significant. AND I can offer what he doesn’t – a confirmatory explanation! He said,

“2017 is 70 years after the prophecy was given. 2017 is also 50 years after Jean Darnall’s prophecy, which was given in 1967, when she saw little fires across the UK ablaze and then a river flowing through the UK and into Europe…

“Is God saying something with these two things? The 50th year after Jean Darnall’s prophecy, a year of jubilee. The 70th year after Smith Wigglesworth prophecy, just like there were 70 years of captivity for Israel…I feel like Daniel must have felt like when he found Jeremiah’s promise after 70 years and said, after 70 years I am going to do something.

NOW, this leads into something I’d intended to finish relating to revelations upon timings received last April. I will be more concise than when I was trying to formulate and clarify what I was learning.:

On Good Friday 2015 Charles Shamp taught on the coming September’s fourth blood-moon as marking the beginning of the time of the Army of God. He believes it starts a two-year period that’s open for all believers, but especially for a glorious company praying things from the Age to Come. Thus, the two years until September 2017 will be an extra-special period, not judgmental and destructive.

The details are recounted in A Scriptural context of…the Blood-Moon Tetrad; and under ‘2015 Feast of Tabernacles Blood-Moon’ header in its follow-up post I reported Charlie’s reasons. Those posts were written last September, but the first ones on that Passover-Easter conference appeared a year ago this month. Furthermore, I blogged about the personal significance of 40 and 55 year periods in ‘God-incidents’ Validate Cycles and Point to Near-Future.

70-Years Period

I didn’t, however, explain the personal relevance of 70 years to 23rd September 2017.

As in those posts, Charlie relates that date to the prophet Daniel’s forecast and bequest to the Magi of his revelation on ‘The Star of Bethlehem’; a reappearance of which is expected in astronomical stellar and planetary alignments of 23.9.2017 (note: not astrology!). More specifically, this future event relates to Revelation 12:1 – John’s vision of the woman clothed with the sun. (For more read Nelson Walters Who Is the Woman of Rev.12?)

My reaction was – “My 70th birthday’s the day before!”. So the 23rd September 2017 will start a new 70-year period for me.

70 is a biblically sacred number the two factors of which are perfect numbers, 7 and 10 representing perfection and completeness respectively. As such, it symbolizes perfect spiritual order carried out with all power, and can also represent a period of judgment (courtesy BibleStudy.org, which gives other examples to those Malcolm cites). Also, Jewish scholars teach that ‘The Torah has 70 Faces’, or levels of interpretation!

Last year saw 70th anniversary celebrations over the end of World War II, and other occasions. 2017 will be the 70th anniversary of crucial events in the birth of the state of Israel. In A Few Thoughts To Mark the Occasion of the 67th birthday of that state, Joel Rosenberg writes about a critical occasion in 1947 on the UN Partition Plan for Palestine upon the British withdrawal from that Mandated Territory, as follows:

‘To succeed, the Partition Plan needed a two-thirds majority vote of the U.N. General Assembly. With just days to go before that historic vote on November 29, 1947, however, supporters of the plan were still three votes short. Some have suggested that President Truman personally called leaders of other nations to encourage them to support the American position. Others say he didn’t but that staff in his administration did; the record is not clear. Either way, most historians—including David McCullough, who won the Pulitzer Prize for his extraordinary biography Truman—acknowledge that Truman wanted the plan to pass and played a role behind the scenes. In the end, Truman got his way. The Partition Plan dramatically passed at the last moment, thirty-three to thirteen, with ten abstentions’.

2017 – Unity

Malcolm Duncan gives his reasons for 2017 being a significant year and seeing a move of God in the UK, for which he believes God is asking us to get ready in many ways. I will cover this essential aspect in another post…

By the way, Erik Hadik, the financial analyst I occasionally blog about, gave this forecast last June on 2017:

‘The culmination of so many diverse cycle in 2017 keeps receiving powerful validation. For instance, the convergence of 8-year, 17-year and 40-year cycles – all related to China – have been forecast to accelerate into 2017.’

4 Signposts perspective: Russia’s withdrawal from Syria

Mark Davidson’s analysis of this in the light of Daniel 8 is noteworthy, keeping in mind the ‘Gog-Magog’ alliance of Ezekiel 38. Debkafile claims last month’s rift between Tehran and Moscow is because of the latter’s collaboration with USA to end the conflict whereas Iran wants hostilities to continue. Their report shows Russia wants to keep its paw in the door. Also, in view of Putin’s disingenuous claims to pull troops out of Ukraine, “which later turned out to be merely routine rotation of forces”, UK’s Foreign Secretary is sceptical, saying “Russia is completely un-transparent about its motives and its plans, (so) we can only speculate.” (Brietbart) UPDATE 16/3: Russia keeping its S-400 anti-aircraft missiles (withheld from Iran at Israel’s request) in Syria until Saudi warplane build-up in Turkey is reversed (Debka Exclusive). So keep watching…

THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS

The news came out today that Putin is withdrawing the main part of Russian forces from Syria. It will maintain the airbase and naval base, but most of the fighter aircraft used in airstrikes and the support forces for those fighters, are being withdrawn. Putin said that the mission is completed.

For those who still cling to the idea that Russia will have a major role in the Middle East during the end times, this would seem like a reversal of what is “supposed to happen.” But for the Signposts, and particularly the Second Signpost, everything continues on course.

Iran needs Assad to stay in power, so that its Shia militants and IRGC can more easily flow men and materiel between the Mediterranean coast and Iran. Before the Russians arrived, Assad was almost on his way out. The…

IRAN: Will there be three kings and then a fourth?

THE FOUR SIGNPOSTS

“Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will appear in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than the others.” Daniel 11:2, NIV

As I am writing this new book I keep running across several places where there are foreshadows prior to fulfillments and in other places fulfillments first and then “aftershadows.”

For example, Alexander the Great can be considered a foreshadow of the Turkish leader of the future Sunni Confederacy during the Third Signpost. We know fulfillment of the Daniel 8 goat is here in the end times because of Daniel 8:17, :19 and :26.

And then there are “aftershadows” as in Daniel 11:2. (I didn’t find a word that was to my satisfaction and so I am using “aftershadows.”) Indeed that verse was completely and to the letter fulfilled by the kings of Persia after Cyrus: Cambyses, Bardiya, Darius I, and…

Dr Sharon Stone: 2016 Word of the Lord – “The momentum has shifted”

A prophetic word was brought by Dr Sharon Stone at a Christian International Europe conference on 5th December. I pray this transcript conveys the anointing of the spoken word as Sharon prophesies, teaches and points out practical applications, especially on the heavenly court.

By way of preface Sharon asks those gathered, “Why do you need to have a word of the Lord for this season that you’re in?”, and then answers her question.:

I believe it’s because it helps you to align with God so that you can make a difference in your world.

And that’s what all of our hearts’ desire is, but the problem is then: God’s idea of time often does not agree with our natural understanding of time. But remember this: He’s the One who made time and He made us to be aware of His timely plans.

I love what 1 Chronicles 12:32 speaks of: it says there was a tribe in Israel that knew the times and the seasons of God [‘sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel should do’]. Now Israel was always successful when they were compatible in opinion and action with God; to carry out His will, His way, in His time. Even though there were other nations who had more powerful armies and influential leaders, they could not compete with the edge of knowing what God had planned for the particular times.

Now, God is giving His children the ability of knowing His times and seasons, and not only that but also recognizing the signs of the times and correctly interpreting them. He wants you to have knowledge from Him of the course we need to take, precisely what needs to be done and how to do it.

So, when you and I choose to receive and apply God’s revelation, then we benefit from its counsel. This includes you, the church, government, leaders and those in business can all benefit when they have a timely word of the Lord and revelation to align with.

Now, when revelation is released in the spiritual realm (as today) the atmosphere begins to shift. And what happens there? The atmosphere begins to shift, it has a chain reaction causing changes in the natural realm to come to pass. And then, what seemed to be impossible before that is now possible, because God’s word is a creative word.

So, this 2016 Word of the Lord is about intentionally partnering with God’s will being done on earth as it is in Heaven. (Prays for delegates and herself to hear Him.)

1. The Voice of the Lord is a Force for a New Course!

I want to start with revelation concerning the prophets for this season probably because it’s so near and dear to my heart – I love raising up prophets:

In prophet Elijah’s day Jezebel obtained a throne of authority in God’s covenant land. Now Elijah also had a seat of authority, but his was not given by man but it was established by God. Prophet Elijah’s authority not only countered Jezebel’s advances but it realigned Israel with the Lord and it set a new course for the future.

So with the prophets, the voice of the Lord is a force for a new course!

Prophets must now align with each other for increased revelation to release a force for a new course, as it did in Elijah’s day. You may ask me how that works and I want you to look at Psalm 29 (reads verses 3-9 aloud) We read how the thundering voice of God is so powerful, the only thing everyone could say was “Glory!” There is a fresh revelation and power coming to prophetic people that’s going to cause the Church to be struck with awe – as they were then – the only exclamation they can make is “Glory, glory!”
A whole new prophetic velocity is being released. In this momentum more individuals are going to embrace the prophetic and be trained in hearing the voice of God than ever before because a whole new prophetic velocity is being released.
Time to Prophesy Resurrection. Even in the last season we were prophesying like prophet Ezekiel to the scattered dry bones – “Come together, come together”. It is switched in this season; God says it’s now time to prophesy resurrection to the valley of bones. What is that resurrection? In Ezekiel 37 verse 9 (reads aloud …lifeless bodies received resurrection, they stood up on their feet and became an exceeding great army). God is raising up prophets at this time because we’ve been speaking to the Church, “It’s time for dead bones to begin to connect and to come together”. Now God is saying “Listen, I am taking those things and the resurrection power of My Spirit is coming upon them that they might stand and be a great army”.
You see, God is calling His prophets to GLOBAL government influence and impact – so you have got to begin to prophesy that resurrection power. Prophets have to align with each other also during this time because we need the increased revelation for solutions in the earth!

2. The Sovereign Court is in Session

One of my main focal points for this session is Daniel chapter 7. I have just met with many different major prophets and there was a prophetic consensus. You don’t often get that, but when you do, how precious it is – but the consensus is this: Daniel 7 is now being fulfilled. I’ll read some scriptures but what I want you to take note of is: the Sovereign Court is in session (emphases added).

v 9 “I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire;
v10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: a thousand thousands ministered to Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.” Did you hear that?…

The Judge of the universe has now seated Himself in readiness and the book of appeals and verdicts are opened for Sovereign decisions at this time. Where our lower courts have made bad decisions our only option is to appeal to a higher court – “The Sovereign Court” to overrule. Then all the lesser courts have to align with the highest court decrees.
You need to do this for your family – Job 5:8 reads; “But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. He provides rain for the earth; He sends water on the countryside. The lowly He sets on high and those who mourn are lifted to safety” (NIV)
God wants us to appeal for our homes, He wants us to appeal for our Land!
YOU are someone that during this season God wants you to know that there’s going to be divine legislation for transformation – divine legislation for transformation!

3. Time to Possess the Kingdom

What else is currently being fulfilled out of Daniel chapter 7? The time is NOW to possess the Kingdom – it says in…

v 21 “I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them,
v 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.”

That time is NOW. Major prophets all over the world are going, “The time is now!” Now, to possess the Kingdom! We’ve been given the ability we didn’t have before – we’ve been given the “Ok”; we’ve been given the marching orders; we’ve been given the assignment.

The saints in this verse were contending against spirits of darkness, the spirits of fear and the spirit of anti-christ. It says they were being overpowered and marginalized in the midst of their challenge. But right there, there was a verdict that was released. That verdict is now forming our future. Suddenly we, the saints, are released to possess the Kingdom!

The momentum has just been shifted, I hope you can feel that! – in spite of very unlikely odds, the time has come for the saints to possess the Kingdom. That means to advance His Kingdom on a grand scale that couldn’t be seen before. So there’s a resurgence of the saints; that means there’s no law that cannot be changed. So it’s time to deal with what we’ve thought of as lost causes (eg. abortion and same-sex marriage) for the Court of Heaven is seated, the books opened and He’s waiting for the Church to rise up and say “Enough is enough” and divine intervention is going to come from the Ancient of Days.

As I pondered these things, I heard the Lord say this;

“You are the power behind the Throne.”

I knew He was speaking of us, the Church. What does that mean? It means we are the “Shadow Government” of the government in the earth. A shadow government is an invisible authority demonstrating that power resides not only with publicly elected representatives or monarchy, but with the Ecclesia, the Church – you and I.

The Sovereign Court of Heaven is the place where appeals and decrees will shift nations regardless of the earthly government.

The Ecclesia will function to advance Kingdom territory – they’re going to use the Keys of David. What are these? Revelation 3:7-8 says “…He who holds the key of David. What He opens no-one can shut, and what He shuts no-one can open.” Why of David and not Moses or Abraham? David was the only one who was a prophet, a priest and a king. Those are keys to nations. We’ve seen people in times past who’ve used these keys to open up our cities and our nation for revivals, for miracles, for awakening.
We want to learn how to do the same thing with the Key of David that the Spirit of the Lord has given us. When we use that key in pray and worship it looks like this: when David functioned as a priest his prayer was petitional and worship was devotional…but we want to move on and as a prophet, the prayer and worship is full of targets, of detail, clarity and of revelation…but when he operated governmentally in the kingship anointing we have governmental prayer and apostolic courtroom worship. That’s how we function now as kings. These keys will open up the Kingdom of God’s advancing transformation in the earth, for this is a year of staking claim to the land and of possessing the land

4. Increase in Authority

Complacency is breaking off God’s sons and daughters.They will not just believe “that someone else will go”, but they will act on God’s behalf and say as Isaiah said; “Here am I send me.” (Isa 6:8) [RB: Similarly, with boy Samuel when lying down by the Ark of the Covenant when the Lord stood beside and called him then he responded, “Speak Lord, your servant is listening”. 1Sam 3]
We are going from faith to faith as a new measure of authority is released into the earth. Faith will appropriate this authority that has already been given. The authority of the Lord is increasing as we passionately follow Him and it’s coinciding with our expanding territory to impact and to steward the work of the Lord.

With every new endeavor or territory that God assigns to us there is the responsibility that comes with it. Your new authority is needed, for your new territory because it comes with obstacles that can only be overcome by it. So I want to talk about revelation this season of what are some of our obstacles – not that we won’t have some that are the same but what are the ones unique to this season?

5. Unique Obstacles

Persecution of Christians will increase in this season…Remember, prophetic prayer worship and prophetic warfare sounds can still reach where you cannot, resulting in opening of prison doors, just like it did for those in the Bible.
Main obstacle is Fear. Be really careful not to allow yourself to be motivated by fear or to the fear that’s released in the atmosphere – not to live under it; you affect the atmosphere rather than living under it! |Even when hearing of wars and rumours of wars – they’re going to be part of our existence from now on – do not let that shake you because fear is the opposite of faith and it will rob you of your faith. Instead, know this is the time for you to expand and be blessed, to create new things (including wealth, the Bible says), to bring forth words of life that heal. The world needs hope and God has called you to demonstrate His love and His power for Christ in you is the hope of glory!
National security/immigration. There will be greater focus on national security so the Lord will give guidance for praying and use your prayer language to reveal the will of God. Likewise, we need a solution from heaven for the issues of immigration.
The economy. I don’t believe it’s about a falling economy but I believe the Spirit of the Lord has said another credit crunch is coming. It not something to pray and avoid but is one of those things that’s still balancing and exposing for we should pray that the systems and kingdoms of this world might be transformed by the will of heaven.
Racial division in the earth will bring unrest. The Lord says this can be downsized or avoided as pastors/leaders pray and decree for racial unity from the pulpit. They must also demonstrate working together with other pastors/leaders. Racial division can be downsized through prayer.
Rise in terrorism and insurgent attacks will continue. We’re going to see a greater increase of one-man terror assaults (many small attacks). They will seem to be disjointed and random but the Spirit of God says; “They’re not”. But can I take you to look at the word that releases fear in people, like ‘cancer’ used to. That word is:
1. ‘ISIS’ – Isis is the name of an Egyptian god. Note that I’m speaking of demonic spirits, NOT Muslim people – Egyptian god spirits, not Muslims. But it is not a coincidence this army has laid claim to the area of the Middle East that the Lord claims as His own in Isaiah 19, because it’s a spirit behind the army that wants to halt God’s plans. Let’s look at chapter 19 verses:
2. v 19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt…
  v 20 And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt…
  v 23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria… v 24 …Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria…
  v 25 whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” (Please read those carefully later…)
3. One motive of the demonic spirits behind ISIS is to try to halt the Isaiah 19 Highway. The Lord has miraculously freed His people from Pharaoh’s oppression and these scriptures tell us God will do it again, but this time it will include Egypt and Syria. And the gods of Egypt will be toppled again – the result is multitudes are going to be delivered and awakened to their Lord Jesus Christ.
4. ‘ISIS’ will continue to operate for a time, because one of the reasons is that true motives of the spirit behind Islam are being exposed to many people who have a searching heart. Like Haman, the Lord will allow ISIS to prepare its own gallows, waiting for the Esther intercessors to re-write the decrees – remember the book is open and the Judge is seated.
5. Greater shakings to be experienced in the Middle East as division comes upon the “House of Islam”.
  Mark 3:25 gives us our prayer strategy; “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” We need to and it is time to use the same strategy against Satan that he has used against the Church; and that is division. This is a time for praying increased division between the demonic powers behind Islam. Continue to pray for the conversion of terrorists as well as for the halting of activity and for preserving people. Remember Saul the terrorist became Paul the Apostle in Acts 9.

6. We have had Restoration of Apostles, but now it is a Time for Apostolic Action.

The Day of the Saints is what my father in the Lord, Bishop Bill Hamon of Christian International, calls this season. This the anointing and movement of the apostolic, not just the restoration of the apostles. So we are anointed to equip people to be “Sent Ones” with signs, wonders and miracles. They’re on assignment to bring transformation into their territory and they get to build apostolically during this time.
Time to Build Apostolically
This begins with the Church again being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, so there are some shiftings that are going on around the earth right now. This foundation is being restored in a new dimension of God’s government. He is giving us fresh strategies for today and so new blueprints to build are being released to enable the Church to partner with God in this new mandate. For some it will look like a redevelopment plan, but for all participating it will be structures that are going to accommodate an incredible harvest. There’s going to be blueprints for finances, strategies for raising, equipping and sending of the saints – and it will seem to many like an acceleration time. Apostolic/Prophetic churches and centres will multiply. So we get to “Arise and Build” and be the victorious Church that the gates of hell cannot stand against. I love that! Now because the Lord is building His house, it says when the Lord builds the house our labours will not be in vain. So we’re not building out of religious ritual or tradition, even though we’re building territorially, because we’re bringing the will of heaven right into our communities and into our nation. With this going on…

7. There is an Agitation of Wineskins

Luke 5:37-38. “And no man puts new wine into old wineskins; else the new wine will burst the wineskin, and be spilled, and the wineskins shall perish. But new wine must be put into new wineskins; and both are preserved.”

Individually and corporately, we/Church are these containers. Jesus is telling us that we must have a capacity to hear a fresh word from Him to build apostolically. And what’s happening?

There is a catch-up movement of the Holy Spirit very similar to the Charismatic movement when Holy Spirit poured out into all denominations regardless of the name over the door. So there’s coming another season like that into denominational streams and old wineskins, giving people an opportunity to update before the coming evacuation from old wineskins – some say “Update before evacuate”, but we need to know that’s of God’s agenda. There are some old spiritual wells that have to be re-dug but there are vast new glory spots of revival springing up throughout the earth that God wants you to partner with in Him.

Prophet Jane Hamon has a great revelation that during this time of:

the spirit of Leviathan being stirred to resist this awakening and new wineskin and revival, and to stagnate and stalemate the Church in our nations. She saw Leviathan resisting awakening on every hand. Churches would be resisting the awakening, most media will ridicule it, and the government in places would even try to stop it – but the spirit behind it is Leviathan. [See 2016 “Awakening”.]

The Hebrew word Leviathan actually means “to mourn.” The enemy’s strategy has been to get the church into a place of mourning over things that have gone against us and to immobilize us with a sense of hopelessness. God is waiting on His people to engage in battle, which would release them to move forward and deal with the resistance. We have to shake ourselves and awaken from the grief and mourning over the dead past. People are being awakened in the world and the Church needs to be awakened to go to them!

8. Awakening, Harvest, Reformation and Transformation

As we are coming upon the 500th anniversary since the Great Reformation (Martin Luther), Kingdom understanding of what’s going on in the atmosphere right now is creating links between awakening, harvest, reformation, and transformation. There is a shifting of the Saints into the Great Transformation of the Church for the Transformation of our nations. So…
We’re on the verge of another Great Awakening and the chains of hope deferred are breaking off you and off churches right now. The prayer army is being awakened first and coming out of their slumber. An awakening is taking place in the Church. A remnant is arising, they’ve been maturing, they’re increasing there’s a momentum being gained. There will be an increase in God’s manifest glory and His healings. There’s going to be a voice of truth and righteousness with no compromise that will not be silent. God’s people will be known for their boldness and love. And apostolic, prophetic churches and centres are multiplying at this time. Also, there’s a greater move of the Holy Spirit upon children and they will be awakened in the middle of the night and hear the Lord, as did the child Samuel.
It is also the Beginning of a Great Harvest! There is a fresh release of labourers empowered by the Holy Spirit for such a time as this. Believers are going to realise they’re “sent ones” now, into the fields of Harvest.
Prophetic Evangelism is going to be a main tool the Spirit of God will use and so it’s time to get trained in those areas. It’s going to have its greatest harvest during this season as a major strategy for Kingdom advance.

9. Unity

Christian fellowship is a key aspect of Christian life. Coming together in love, faith and encouragement is an element of family and authentic relationships. We cannot influence society with the truth of who Jesus Christ is without that love for God and for each other that He wants us to have. We need those authentic relationships. As corporate church flows in unity we’re going to see God’s presence with a mighty outpouring of signs, wonders and miracles. God’s people are going to rise in this pressure of current world situation and we’re going to create a unity in the Kingdom of God and the House of God that’s without precedent in former generations!

I believe Heaven is actually standing to attention and they’re waiting – there’s almost with an intake of breath – waiting for the prayers of God’s people to link arms and to fight as one. It’s an incredible time and, as a matter of fact, Psalm 133 says this is what’s going to release, this unity will release the commanded blessing of the Lord.

10. Nations

The next area of revelation that God is speaking is concerning the nations and here in Europe we need to know – even if we read the news we would hear this –

1. Europe is shaking in disunity in the EU. But there is also a different shaking going on – there’s a clash of the Kingdoms in Europe. This conflict begins in Europe but it negatively spreads to the nations of the earth if God’s people do not pray…This clash of the Kingdoms will also cause the Church to awaken and arise, and what will happen is a fresh joinings of passion for the Lord as a war cry is raised from the Church. Intimacy and warriors – it’s an incredible time…and coming from the voice of the Church in Europe! Remember, this conflict is for who’s going to rule, who’s going to sit on the throne of nations? We have a King of Kings and a Lord of Lords – we’re going to give Him His inheritance: the nations!
  Re. our most recent history, Cindy Jacobs says: “Through crises the enemy has used a Trojan Horse to enter Europe. But God says; ‘I have a plan for a sweeping awakening of Europe and the nations of the earth, to actually reap a harvest of the Muslims nations“. So God is going to turn that Trojan Horse around for the benefit of harvest.
2. The church in England will see it’s true Apostles rise and build.
3. The church in Wales is about to birth an end-times prayer movement.
4. The church in Ireland will water itself in great intercession and see an early harvest of souls.
5. There is a fire beginning to burn in Scotland.
6. The church in France is rising in power.
7. The church in Germany will begin to show its strength.
8. Netherlands, God is giving you watchmen assignments for the EU, the European economy and terrorist attacks against your country.
9. Spain will become a focus for the spirit of Islam…but the true Church is also rising up in Spain.
10. Russia. Putin will continue to stir unrest in the world with his alignments. Yet God is moving in the Church in Russia and especially a move of God among the young and next generation in Moscow.
11. Small embers are beginning to burn for God in Estonia, Siberia and Serbia.
12. Ukraine has a strong underground church forming that will ignite this nation for God.

You know, we’re beginning this year with a grace of empowerment to be more than conquerors. What an amazing way: that’s how God is causing us to move into this year!

Psalm 110:3 Your people will be Your love offerings like living sacrifices spilled out before You. In the day of Your mighty power, You will be exalted and in the brightness of Your holy ones You will shine, as an army arising from the dawning rays of a new day.

There are so many of us forerunners in all spheres that are being matured and being promoted into fresh intimacy and authority this year – make sure you grab hold of that!

I actually believe you can hit that reset button in this season. Go before God and set that rest button in the areas you need to reset…because God wants so much for you than you want for yourself.

Sharon closes with a strong encouragement that we’re surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, some of whom we know personally – there’s many more of them than of us!

“I believe that we’re on a fresh momentum with the shifting of the saints to possess the Kingdom, that’s going to cause us to finish well.

Fulfilled prophecy #4 cont’d – Paris pays price, but NOT due to…cont’d

In considering spiritual rather than politico-military reasons for the targeting of France – and now Mali too – I claimed in the previous post that prime verses of scripture as well as contemporaneous prophetical insights reveal the real reason for the massacre of 130 in Paris. The reason is likely to be not the French government’s military responses to ISIL in Syria, but its ongoing hostility towards Israel.

And this is not to forget or belittle the continuing attacks in Israel itself, as well as in Nigeria plus the Beirut bombing and the Russian airliner brought down over the Sinai. According to the List of Terror Attacks kept on Religion of Peace website the total number by Muslims since New York’s day of infamy stands at 27,308: so deaths are very much higher!

That first part of my argument used only one scripture because it was the focal emphasis of words from the Lord brought by Neville Johnson. We also revisited prophetic words Nathan Morris brought for New Year 2012 and noticed their accuracy regarding this year’s atrocities. Before demonstrating other scriptures’ relevance and application to what France has done to Israel, let me reconsider first what Nathan stressed and the relevance to yesterday’s news:

“The Lord told me that in the coming days such will be the unfolding of global events that fear will strike the hearts of men…an ever-increasing unrest and a spirit of confusion shall be released upon the world that the hearts of many shall be gripped with fear; the fear of uncertainty and the sense of hopelessness…” (listen from 2:30:00 of this video).

Consider this with yesterday’s headline ‘Paris attacks made me ‘doubt’ presence of God, admits Archbishop of Canterbury’, as in yesterday’s BBC Songs of Praise. (See also The Independent and Daily Mail.) Justin Welby candidly admits the massacre caused him to doubt where God is and why it happened and that it made a “chink in his armour”.

BUT the Press fails to quote him in full – what’s new? In telling presenter Aled Jones of his seeking and engaging the Lord over the issue, Justin was asked, “What answers did He give you?” – he replied:

“He said, “In the middle of it”! And also an answer from the Psalms, Psalm 56 – ‘He stores up our tears in a bottle’. None of our sufferings are lost!”

See also Justin Welby’s official site for his Statement on Paris Attacks, as well as a blog published after this one was posted and in which His Grace explains Why Arguing with God is not the same as not believing in him. Interesting to read because it’s easy to infer from the references to two psalms how much the BBC edited out of the interview. What else would we expect in view of its severely jaundiced and inaccurate coverage of Israel, as monitored by BBC Watch?

What Does the Bible Say?

Here’s a selection of well-known scripture pertinent to France’s situation. Bear in mind that all events in Old (and New) Testaments act as examples ‘for our admonition (upon whom the end of ages have come’ – 1 Cor 10:11).:

1a) The Lord’s promise to Abraham and to his descendants of that everlasting promise:

“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.

“I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curses you; and in you all families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:2-3 NKJV)

1b) The Angel of the Lord’s prophecy to Hagar about his son Ishmael:

“He shall be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the land of his brethren.” (Genesis 16:12 NKJV)

2) In a vision to prophet Obadiah the Lord makes his first definitive declaration about ‘The Day of the Lord’ on the divisive hatred the sons of Esau have for those of brother Jacob. It thus applies as a major End-time prophecy to all nations’ treatment of the Jewish nation:

“For the day of the LORD upon all nations is near; As you have done (to Israel), it shall be done to you; your reprisal shall return upon your own head.” (Obadiah 1:15 NKJV)

3) The scenario of how this End-time prophecy is being fufilled today:

“And it shall happen in that day that I shall make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who heave it away will surely be cut to pieces though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” (Zecharia 12:3 NKJV)

4) The ‘spiritual law of action and reaction’ is outlined in the earliest Christian letter by the hand of Apostle Paul:

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8 NIV)

Hence, France’s fundamental problem is its leaders’ rebellion against the Word of the Lord as presented below.

Paris – The Morning After

As recounted earlier, on Saturday 14th November I read online headlines on the massacre in Paris, one of which I realised connected directly into its true cause.

In Koenig’s World Watch Daily I noticed ‘France’s War Against Israel – Caroline Glick’. Editor William Koenig gives this ex-peace negotiator, now Senior Contributing Editor of the Jerusalem Post, the accolade of ‘ne plus ultra’ (none better, perfect example) for her excellence and accuracy of journalism.

Caroline’s article of 20th October (ie. 3 weeks before the attacks) caught my attention and connected right into the weekend’s massacres. She gets right to the core of issues and so I now quote her at length. You may be as appalled by this as I am, so I’d urge you to read her full article by clicking on this sub-head title.:

France’s War Against Jews

Caroline delivers a stinging indictment and condemnation of officially-sanctioned hostility by a leading European nation towards the nation of Israel. She opens as follows, (emphases mine):

‘France’s plan to use its position at the UN Security Council to bring about the deployment of international monitors to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem has been condemned by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his ministers as biased, unhelpful and detached from reality.

‘Certainly it is all those things. But France’s decision to use its diplomatic position to advance a plan which, if implemented, would end Israeli sovereignty over Judaism’s holiest site is first and foremost a French act of aggression against the Jewish state.

‘Contrary to what the French government would have us believe, France’s Temple Mount gambit is not an effort to quell the violence. French protestations of concern over the loss of life in the current tempest of Palestinian terror ring hollow.

‘France doesn’t really oppose Palestinian terrorism. To the contrary, it facilitates it.’

Caroline continues by documenting French bankrolling of and conniving with those whose ultimate goal is the eradication of their neighbour:

‘Every year, the French government pays millions of euros, dollars and shekels to Palestinian NGOs whose stated goal is to destroy Israel. Through its NGO agents, France finances the radicalization of Palestinian society (which) makes Palestinian terror inevitable. Much of the current rhetoric used by the Palestinians to reject Israel’s legitimacy and justify violence against Jews is found in strategic documents that France paid Palestinian NGOs to write…’

Over 2010-2013 a consortium of Palestinian Non-Governmental Organisations called NGO Development Center received $6.5 million from France, which ‘paid for the NDC to put together a strategic plan to advance its members’ goals. That French-initiated and financed document includes a list of activities not aimed at promoting peace, enhancing the daily lives of Palestinians, or expanding economic growth.’

‘Rather, the French financed strategic planning document provides a list of activities that the NGO’s will undertake to delegitimize and criminalize Israel and ensure that Palestinians hate the Jewish state and view it as the cause of all their suffering.’

Caroline ‘s expose of France continues in depth. For the second example she refers to an NDC document of 2008 that, ‘required all member groups to ban all “normalization activities with the occupier, [both] at the political-security [and] the cultural [and] developmental levels.”

‘The document went on to call for Israel to be destroyed. No action on the part of any Palestinian entity can be carried out it said, “if it undermines the inalienable Palestinian rights of establishing statehood and the return of refugees to their original homes,” that, is, the immigration of millions of foreign-born Arabs to the ruins of Israel.’

Thirdly, she covers the immense French funding of the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee which ‘uses racist language to demonize Jews and Israel by among other things assaulting the so-called “Judaization of Jerusalem” and attacking Palestinians who work with Israeli companies….In 2011, PARC sabotaged a trade delegation in France comprised of Israeli and Gazan farmers…Rather than welcome Israel’s actions on behalf of Gaza farmers, PARC organized a boycott of the delegation – causing direct harm to Gazan farmers.

‘…By paying these groups to carry out these sorts of activities, the French government has made clear that far from seeking to advance the cause of peace, its actual goal is to block all prospects of peace between Israel and the Palestinians. These sorts of actions are the norm, rather than the exception in France’s treatment of Israel.

‘And France makes no bones about its hostility towards the Jewish State.’

In the next page Caroline examines how the past year’s support of the PA complements France’s own domestic anti-Jewish policy. Then she presents historical details enabling her to castigate president Holland for his outrageous, grossly discourteous and insulting treatment of PM Netanyahu during his visit to honour the victims of the attacks in Paris last January. Caroline finishes this litany as follows:

‘In the evening after the march, Hollande refused to appear with Netanyahu at the memorial ceremony for the victims of the Hyper Cacher massacre. In a tangible snub, Hollande left the synagogue where it was being held before Netanyahu arrived.

‘In the nine months since the attacks, rather than go after the Islamic communities of France that infect their members with Nazi-like Jew hatred marinated in Koranic dispensations for murder, French authorities have forced French Jewry to live under lock and key. Jewish communal institutions are required to shoulder astronomical security costs as their buildings have come to look more like military garrisons than elementary schools and synagogues.

‘As a French professor writing under the pen name Alain El-Mouchain explained this month in Mosaic Magazine, the French government’s “refusal to identify either the culprits [of anti-Semitic violence] or their [Jewish] victims by their proper names…has perversely combined with the swift posting of police and military guards at Jewish institutions to make Jews feel that at best they have become ‘protected citizens’ in their own country, reinforcing the idea that they are no longer at home in France but are rather a new kind of dhimmi [a minority group that lives at the pleasure of the ruling Muslims].“

Caroline concludes,

‘Through its actions, France has shown that it isn’t even vaguely interested in promoting freedom and peace. The policy of the French government, revealed yet again by its bid to end Israeli control of the Temple Mount, is to delegitimize Israel and curry the favor of jihadists at the expense of the Jews of Israel and of France alike.’

France is also at the forefront of the Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israeli businesses thereby adversely affecting Palestinian workers.

France continues to pay the price for its leaders’ decisions and actions.

Therefore, it’s no wonder France holds the record for Jews currently emigrating to Israel. Yet this is in accord with the revelatory word Dr Maurice Sklar received, as follows.:

Prophetic Word at Feast of Tabernacles 2015

Note the following points (emphases added) from what the above messianic Jew says the Lord gave at the start of this year’s Feast of Tabernacles, as copied in this re-post:

1. The Times of the Gentiles are coming to an end. The end of Adam’s dominion time-lease upon earth is nearly over. The time of Jacobs’ Trouble: the Tribulation period is about to begin. BUT HE (JACOB) SHALL BE SAVED OUT OF IT. It is in this time that I will sovereignly cause all the Jews to return to their home, Eretz Israel. I will shake them out like a tablecloth that a lady would take outdoors and shake all the crumbs out of it by flapping it into the wind. But not one crumb will perish. All shall be returned…. Many of my people are hidden in the nations that have descended from the 10 lost tribes. They are not “lost” to Me. I KNOW THEM ALL. They shall return, along with all the descendants of Judah and Levi. No man knows who or where they are, but I DO. The time has come when the rest of the family will come home to the land I promised them.

2. Satan knows that his time is short. War is coming to the Middle East. It will bring every nation into it before it is all over. Israel is my mousetrap, and Jerusalem is the cheese. Israel is also my anvil on which I will judge the nations. Prepare your hearts, for peace will be taken from the earth. For 70 years I gave the Western nations peace and prosperity after World War 2. That was because of what the United States did along with the Allied forces by defeating Nazi Germany and rescuing My people Israel from extermination, and then paving the way for Israel to be reborn as a nation in 1948.

In my humble opinion that prophetic word and its associated one on the Day of the Lord are worthy of reflection and, as with the words in this two-part blog, should be weighed with scripture and the Lord.

Conclusion

If you followed up my reference to Francois X’s remarks in the previous post you would have gained a closer view on the situation by a brother in Christ familiar with the Bible as prophecy.

“The situation in France is more dire than people think” and he mentions the 800 no-go areas that are outside the police force’s ability to enforce the law of the land. [See latest in Daniel Pipes’ personal investigations Muslim no-go zones in Europe?]

Even so, the people’s elected representatives have no excuse whatsoever for very biased and bigoted policies against Israel.

As the above few scriptures attest, we are now witnessing France reaping what it has sown. Its support for anti-Israel terrorism and the downfall of that nation and surrender of its holiest site in Jerusalem has resulted in not only no divine protection against the demonic but also a barbaric targeting by the most extreme Muslim movement, one that copies the military adventures of their faith’s founder and subsequent early leaders.

After planning to get United Nations action against Israel in Jerusalem, president Hollande has petitioned for other nations to join the action against ISIS/ISIL. As Dr John McTernan and others have posited for some years and the wise leader of Jordan now foresees, it looks like we’re now heading into World War Three!
