Was pastor’s fatal heart attack to prevent God’s warning to Britain and apostate church? (GPS #47.3)

At last, a fortnight later than intended this double-post gets off-the-press – but as we all know; timing is everything for it is the Lord’s.

As announced here, the programme screened 22nd April shows pastor Christopher Wickland’s two heart attacks at a trampoline park last November. Its CCTV captured the terrifying ordeal of that day out with his daughter and two younger boys. Nick Knowles’ narration is split into an introductory account from 0:45 to 12:00 minutes. He summarises the situation at 21:00m, then proceeds with details of Chris’ recovery and wife Tracey’s prayer-network action.

The footage may distress some but it demonstrates the prompt, proficient skills of the park’s manager and assistant in giving CPR and FIVE shocks by defribrillator. The manager says the pastor was “effectively dead”!  Although he started breathing after the fifth shock he was taken to Southampton’s cardiac intensive care unit, his brain started to deteriorate as soon as his heart stopped and remained inactive. Victims are not expected to survive with fully functioning brain after prolonged oxygen deprivation. So Chris was put into an induced coma.

The account was previously told in Premier Christian News and BBC South Today, as herein, of when his 12 years-old daughter phoned her mother, who immediately alerted their church and many others to pray for her husband’s resurrection from effective death without any brain and heart damage whatsoever. Praise the Lord that He did.

AND our heavenly Father must have done that so that a prophetic word He’d given this pastor would get delivered – otherwise why bless him and then only hours later take him home to heaven?? I suspect something else wanted to suppress it!

NOTE very carefully what Christopher had written on his Facebook 11 days before the latest BBC programme:

CLICK IMAGE TO LISTEN (not shown in new screen)

[OR, wait a short while for the next post’s transcript of this prophecy.]

In that FB thread Christopher kindly agrees to my asking a professional stenographer to produce a transcript. A week later I commented upon our battle-situation:

“Just to update you Christopher: transcript recvd Thurs a’noon b4 long weekend offline but began working on draft lead-in upon bbc’s CConCamera – correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems the adversary didn’t want that word made public, so took you out of the picture, BUT the Lord came up trumps!

“There’s strong opposition to this as I’d awoken that full blogging day (Thurs) with badly bloodshot eye PLUS early Sat morning (25 April) my wife Nina took bad fall and broke her right kneecap – so we’re in recovery mode and my hands are even fuller. Y’day, our cat got attacked by a vicious tomcat that disturbed her in our greenhouse, chasing her to the house!!”

He responds  “Gosh. You have gone through the wars. Yes agreed. When I received the word I sensed the enemy was really angry with me for knowing his plans. But God got the victory and the glory and the word still got released. He is so good. Will be praying for your protection.”  (Emphases added)

Watching – Trevor Roff

WATCHING

Another three weeks! The last three were enough; now we have to suffer another 21 days (minimum) of social isolation and lockdown. Even the strongest of us will surely begin to flag; there are only so many tasks to perform, rooms to clean, phone calls to make, books to read, walks to explore and TV programmes to watch. So what are we going to do?

In my last article, I wrote about waiting, and making it a positive thing rather than just a period to endure. But watching and waiting are often spoken together. Parents will often tell their children to “Wait and See,” with the clear implication that something important (usually good) is going to happen soon.  And we always refer to night watchmen, not night waiters! Times of waiting should always be approached with patience and with the expectation that something good is going to happen or that something bad may be prevented by watching. So, in the Bible waiting is often synonymous with watching. The same Greek word is used in the New Testament for both keeping awake and for spiritual alertness, in other words, watching. We need to become good “watchers.”

So, how can we make sure that this time of waiting can be positive rather than frustrating?  The Bible tells us: “be on your guard; stand firm in the faith” (1 Corinthians 16 v 13). It is very easy to be negative about your circumstances, to allow your mind to drift into possible future scenarios. “Will I catch the dreaded Covid-19?” “How will I ever manage to pay the bills, put up with the kids for another month, or find another job when this is over?”

The Bible can help us here. Instead of dwelling on circumstances in fear or frustration, we can turn our thoughts away from ourselves to God’s peace and purposes in our lives. Psalm 130 verse 5 states, “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”

This turns our situation on its head; instead of fear there is peace, instead of doubt there is faith and instead of frustration there is hope.  This time of waiting can become a time of watching instead, looking to see what God can do and wants to do in your life rather than trying to sort it all out yourself.  Watching means that we trust God to work in and through our lives to accomplish what he wants to do. Isaiah 30 verse 18 tells us that “the Lord longs to be gracious to you ….blessed are all who wait for him.” The old hymn Great Is Your Faithfulness is actually a quotation from Lamentations 3 verses 22-24. Why not look it up and see how it can apply to you?

Let’s all become watchers rather than just waiters!

Waiting – Trevor Roff

WAITING

Queuing is arguably one of the things we Brits do best; we are prepared to arrive early at the supermarket and wait for hours to get the last loo roll or carton of eggs. If there is a queue, we want to be in it! In fact in the days of World War Two, it was a well-known maxim: “If you see a queue, join it.” (This was in the days of wartime rationing, when folk didn’t know when the next delivery of vital foodstuffs would arrive.) Now, of course, we have to queue at least two metres apart because of coronavirus!

But as we self-isolate and wait for Covid-19 to burn itself out, there will inevitably come a sense of frustration that the end of it all is still far off. How many more days and weeks will we have to wait before we can resume our normal everyday lives? We may in fact find ourselves saying with the psalmist, “How long, Lord, how long?”

This present situation can very easily become like a prison, with no end in sight: no outings, no social activity, no nights out, no family gatherings, and no corporate worship. We discover the same frustration that the people of God felt many times when they were at their wits’ end and God seemed far away. Many times they cried out that same phrase, “How long?”

But that cry begs the question in reply, “What are we impatient for?” If we read the Psalms, we soon discover that God’s people were thirsting after several things, like deliverance, revenge, mercy and forgiveness. But when they had calmed down a little, they realized that their needs were for much more than a sense of vindication or victory over their enemies. They were desperate not so much for their own bodily comforts but for the reassurance that God loved them and would be with them, no matter how long their present situation: “Turn, O Lord, deliver my life.” (Ps. 6 v 4), “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” (Ps. 37 v7)  “with you there is forgiveness, …. listen to my cry for mercy.” (Ps 130 vs 2,4). There clearly had to be some point to all this waiting, and for us in 2020 the same truth holds good.

It’s not the waiting that is the problem; it’s how we respond to the waiting. Psalm 130 again: “I wait for the Lord … more than for the morning …  and in His word I put my hope.”  “We wait for the Lord; he is our hope and shield.” (Psalm 33). The psalmists had clearly moved beyond their immediate feelings of frustration, boredom and uselessness to see the higher purpose in such a trying situation: “Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” (Psalm 90).

Now that is an outcome well worth aiming for!

Hiding – Trevor Roff

Trevor Roff, a friend at church circulated a brief message of encouragement and kindly permits me to republish it, and sent me the two earlier ones penned after the contagion came. So I’m publishing all three as ‘medicinal meditation’ over this long- weekend. May the Lord bless you thoroughly and saturate you in His Spirit:

HIDING

When small children feel afraid or when they are playing tag, their strong temptation is to run away and hide. The chaser becomes the enemy, and the threat from the pursuer becomes increasingly menacing the longer the chase continues. After a time, the danger increases in the children’s minds to the point where discovery is terrifying and is to be avoided at all costs.

We adults are living in such a time today. Coronavirus has taken such a hold in our collective consciousness that our primary response to its threat is one of panic and fear. We stay in our homes not only to protect others from catching the disease but from our own inner fear that we might also become victims.

But God knows exactly how we are feeling. When King David was feeling scared he cried out, “Hide me in the shadow of your wings,” (Psalm 17 v 8).

If you are like me you cannot prevent a shadow of fear flit through your thoughts as to the likelihood of your succumbing to the disease, especially if, like me, you are over 70 or have a history of cancer or some equally dangerous condition. Your first thought is to run away, to hide, even if it is only the comfort and safety of your own home, where you try to avoid any contact with the outside world!

But later in his life, David had grown in his faith and could cry out with confidence in Psalm 27 v 5: “He will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent.” David has grown in his faith and now states as a fact that God will protect him from the dangers he faces. That is God’s desire for us too, that we will grow in confidence to firmly trust that God will see us through this ‘deadly pestilence.’

Not only that, God does more to console and strengthen David, as the verse continues, “He will lift me high upon a rock.” Our heavenly father longs not only to protect us, but to also give us the faith to believe that He will not only see us through the storms ahead, but also make us beacons of faith and confidence to those around us. If we are willing, he will enable us to be witnesses of God’s saving power. And we can help our friends and neighbours to see beyond this monstrous pandemic to the One who has power over life and death and is inviting us to trust him for the future, wherever it may lead us.

Holy Fire caught during church video meeting

Three weeks after our first video meeting with Catch The Fire Farnborough, as told in this confirmation of the establishing of ‘new wineskin’ church, pastor Bird asked one of the attendees to read a scripture he’d submitted as being relevant to this new church:

The Coming Glory of God’s House (NKJV – BibleGateway)

In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came [a]by Haggai the prophet, saying: 2 ‘Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying: 3 “Who is left among you who saw this [b]temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing? Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,” says the Lord; “and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,” says the Lord, “and work; for I am with you,” says the Lord of hosts. 5 “According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!”

6 ‘For thus says the Lord of hosts: “Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the [c]Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this [d]temple with glory,” says the Lord of hosts. 8 “The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,” says the Lord of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter [e]temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts.’

I’m amazed that once again a scripture brought to our attention had been highlighted in my old Bible, as in the attached photo. This was probably done in connection with having heard “Hebrews 12” over 29 yrs ago and when I highlighted v 26 about ‘The Shaking’, which is why I’ve oft referred to it when blogging (see tag). Let the True Prophets of God arise over nations – Veronika West

How ‘God-incidental’ that in responding to reader Mary’s comment I felt prompted to stick Lana Vawser’s prophecy of February 2016 on coals of fire on prophets’ heads to this blog’s homepage. A hour ago Veronika posted this on Ignite Ireland Ministries.

Moreover, it fits a scripture connected to judgement beginning at the house of God that I’d homed in on days ago: from 1 Peter 4:17 > Malachi 3:11, NKJV: “I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes” (a demon I’d seen many decades ago!):

“LET THE TRUE PROPHETS ARISE OVER THE NATIONS WITH THE SOUND OF THE ROAR OF REDEMPTION AND RESURRECTION POWER IN THEIR MOUTHS AND LET THE VOICE OF THE LYING DEVOURER BE SILENCED”….! These are the words I heard this morning as I went before the Lord….!

In prayer this morning I felt such a tangible weight of the Spirit fear, grief, despair and deep discouragement covering the Nations, I saw in the Spirit many Nations that were covered by a thick heavy cloak of darkness and I saw the words, “DEMONIC OPPRESSION” ,….and then I heard these words, “HOPE DEFERRED HAS MADE THE HEARTS OF MANY SICK”…!

Then I saw many people across the Nations sitting indoors with a yoke of heaviness around their necks and the voices of familiar spirits were whispering in their ears, lies and more lies were being spoken over them and then I heard the Spirit say, “Look many are standing on the threshold of their greatest breakthrough…many are on the very cusp of the dreams and visions they have carried for decades being made fully manifest… but! listen!”…. A post-Resurrection miracle as a ‘mystery’ now revealed – part 2

[First published 2018]

His disciples came to Jesus and said, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” and He replied, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him (and her) more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore, I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand…” (Matthew 13:10-13 NKJV)

Definition: ‘Mystery’, Greek musterion (moos-tay-ree-on; Strongs #3466). From mueo, “to initiate into the mysteries”, hence a secret known only to the initiated, something hidden requiring special revelation. In the NT the word denotes something that people could never know by their own understanding and that demands a revelation from God. The secret thoughts, plans and dispensations of God remain hidden from unregenerate mankind, but are revealed to all believers. In non-biblical Greek musterion is knowledge withheld, concealed or silenced. In biblical Greek it is truth revealed (Col 1:26). NT musterion focuses upon Christ’s sinless life, atoning death, powerful resurrection and dynamic ascension.’ [New Spirit-Filled Study Bible]

Prophecy: “2018: I will impart to My Prophets the ability to see clearly My Numbers…” (delivered by Leisa Ebere, read in full here).

The above, ancient meaning of ‘mystery’ is rarely understood and appreciated, even by those solidly grounded in scripture. As told in my testimony, my pre-Christian life got immersed in that esoteric knowledge, and so I’m experienced in this matter and can attest that the difference between that discipline and holy revelations from the Almighty is like the contrast between His Light and the devil’s darkness. A post-Resurrection miracle as a ‘mystery’ now revealed – part 1

[First published 2018]

Not long after Father God brought Jesus the Messiah back from the dead by His Spirit, the One who’s the radiance of His glory went once again in search of His ex-fisherman friends. Of the two sets of brothers who’d been partners in the fishing trade on the Sea of Galilee before deserting their nets to follow a peripatetic teacher, their boss had an exceptionally severe crisis of self-confidence.

GONE FISHING!

So this ‘son of Jonah’, named Simon, decided to return to the simple life of sitting in a boat with buddies and dragging a net in the hope of getting a catch – but it proved to be an exercise in futility!

A few years earlier on that inland sea, the four fishing partners encountered and had been ‘called’ by The One to follow Him. Jesus amazed the crowds there with His teaching and had asked Simon if He could address them from his moored boat. Jesus knew the men had worked hard all night without having caught anything because, when He’d finished speaking, He told Simon to sail into deep water and lower his nets despite the fruitless night – Simon was overwhelmed by the result!  They’d got such a large number of fish that another boat was called for – then both began to sink with their massive weight!!

So Simon changed his tune. Upon hearing Jesus’ instruction he’d objected because of the poor night, yet respectfully referred to Him as “Master” – but in amazement at the fresh catch breaking nets and sinking boats, Simon addressed Him with the superior term of “Lord”; thus suggesting he was beginning to understand the status of this astonishing teacher. In the account by one of those partners, John, they’d previously met Jesus immediately after His baptism in the river Jordan and Andrew had brought his brother Simon to see Jesus, who then spoke of his identity and implicit destiny, “You are Simon son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas,” (which is translated ‘A Stone’, Petros/Peter: John 1:42).

After that huge catch of unspecified quantity, Jesus called Simon into his destiny: “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men!”  That is, a fisher of men. When they’d landed their boats the four foresook all and followed Him (Luke 5:10-11). Continue reading

A Maundy Thursday Musing

The Cross at Ffald-y-Brenin, ‘miraculously’ provided and located as directed by the Lord.

[First published 2016]

Reflections upon the events of Jesus’ betrayal and execution whilst we were on a Quiet Day’s ‘Appointment in Jerusalem’, added to my ongoing meditation upon His personal prayer made, not in the garden of Gethsemane, but earlier in the upper room at the close of their Passover meal (John 17). That ‘celebratory remembrance’ proved to be more than a ground-breaking event. It was truly a heaven-breaking-in pivotal time in human history in which Jesus offered up Himself as the Paschal Lamb, not only for His first disciples but also for everyone who would ever believe in Him – eg. you and me! AND enable everyone to come into the full freedom of salvation from their sins and satan’s consequential authority over their lives – should they so choose. Continue reading

What we need

Excellent reminder from Joanne, who’s not ‘down under’ (in NZ) but rising above!

Jo-Blogs's avatarThe Kingdom

With the world troubled by the Coronavirus at the moment, I thought it’s important to remember who Jesus is and what we need.  Right now, I’m reading the book of John, and John contains seven “I AM” statements.

I AM the Bread of Life (John 6:35, 41, 48, 51); I AM the Light of the World (John 8:12); I AM the Door of the Sheep (John 10:7, 9); I AM the Good Shepherd (John 10:11,14); I AM the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25); I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6); and I AM the True Vine (John 15:1, 5).

The world needs Jesus – not hand sanitiser, face masks or toilet paper.

I found this on Facebook, I don’t know who wrote it – but it sums up four of Jesus’ I AM statements.

Releasing Heaven – CTNTP leader’s personal testimony

Thank you Lord for the encouraging healing following this reporter’s meeting with the author of this book…

Have you a desire to see signs, wonders and miracles, people healed and set free? Well it is much a case of gaining the right perspective of who we are in Christ and responding to His voice! David Gilbey, UK Coordinator of CTNTP, records what happened last week, and what it led to three days […]

PS to Neil’s Habbakuk-type Oracle

In acknowledging Neil Mackereth for An Oracle, I told my long-time friend one of the prophecy ministries listed in the Directory section of The State of the Prophetic in UK politely asked to be removed rather than appear with some of questionable doctrinal background.

Neil replies and adds PS to his ‘oracle’ as follows:

Interesting to hear (that) comment – something else the Lord has been highlighting to me over the last few days is unity (or rather the lack of unity) – one would expect a common “enemy” to unite those facing the threat.  So far, Global Warming has encouraged more bickering and dissent than unity. Now, a more obvious (immediate) and rapidly evolving threat provides an opportunity to put differences aside, humble ourselves and plead God’s forgiveness. What an opportunity for Christians to set the example in humility, unity and heartfelt intercessory prayer for the nations.

The other point that comes out so clearly in Habakkuk is his conviction (through the insights God gives him) that God is in charge no matter how daunting the challenges may seem. This is abundant faith which banishes fear.

I am still a “work in progress” on that front!

…God Bless, Neil

P.S. I probably should have quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14 in full and included verse 13.

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people if My people who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.“ (2 Chronicles 7:14)

RB’s Footnote: It was that utter lack of unity and back-stabbing between churches 50 years ago that made me deepy contemptuous of clergy and churchgoers. In rejecting their claims and doctrines I unwittingly turned towards and got trapped in the devil’s domain! Therefore, it was the fault of so-called ‘Christians’ disobeying the Lord! (As summarised in False ‘Gospel’ Lured Me To The Devil’s Door.)

A Habbakuk-type Oracle – Neil Mackereth

Further to the previous posted yesterday on two prophecies that were published Friday and Saturday, Neil Mackereth was urged to email but apologised for doing so on a Saturday; “However, I have noted of late that the speed of events is such that delay is not appropriate!”  I’m copying his message as received from Neil (he doesn’t usually use bold typeface):

AN ORACLE

A week ago, in a time of meditation, the Lord spoke to me:

Consider the expression: “Hope springs eternal” and read it as: “Hope spring’s eternal” – in the sense that “hope” is expectation (as in “our hope is in Jesus” i.e. Faith). Have faith that what will happen this Spring will have eternal significance.

On pondering this I was led to Habakkuk and saw certain similarities with our present situation:

How long, O Lord, will the outrageous, demonic and exceedingly unwholesome agendas of the wicked succeed and prosper?

“Look at the Nations and watch – and be utterly amazed”

All the negotiations of men are being overtaken by the onslaught of Covid-19. Just as Habakkuk watched for the Babylonian invasion of Israel, so we are to watch the advancing Covid-19, and seek to understand the spiritual significance of this assault on an ill-prepared (unrighteous) world.

This virus scoffs at men whose strength and pride is in their wealth, intellect or fame; ignores frontiers, fortifications and weapons of war, and laughs at our unwillingness to cry out to the Lord.

“If My people who are called by My Name …. “ (2 Chronicles 7:14)

During the week I felt called to:

Meditate on the horrendous, unspeakable and utterly unjust treatment of My Son, that led to His crucifixion and death. Then remember that His barbaric mistreatment was an absolutely necessary forerunner to His resurrection and your salvation. So, too, are the troubles now coming on the earth an absolutely necessary forerunner to the return of Jesus and the fulfillment of My plan for the redemption of the world.

Something utterly amazing is going to happen this Spring.

God is testing our power source: Obedience — Wanda Alger

Once again we have words of wisdom from Wanda and which ‘coincided’ with retaining  the opening scripture to my Fulfilled Prophecies catalogue. (Appearing in full from the page’s inception I’d decided to truncate it down to first verse only but yesterday morning obeyed the Spirit’s direction to retain it >> later that day I received an email from such a ‘false tree’ of prophecy!)

Next, after re-blogging the previous post relating to censoring Franklin Graham a reader queried my use of a certain word. I replied that my focus is to try meeting Jesus’ triple insistence in John 14 of obedience as a demonstration of loving Him (vv 15, 21, 23). Next, is to avoid judging my brethren. SO carefully consider Wanda’s teaching and example below:

We underestimate the POWER in OBEDIENCE. For those of us who champion the tangible presence of God and spending time in the quiet place, it’s easy to assume that this is our only source of spiritual power. Though it is true that spending time with the Lord is foundational to our faith and nurturing our…

Understanding the times and writing to The Guardian re. Franklin Graham — TheWeeFlea.com

Quote

In my humble opinion this by David Robertson is essential reading for ALL who claim to follow Jesus Christ, and especially for church leaders…

This months EN article…. 1 Chronicles 12:32 is a fascinating verse. It speaks of ‘men who understood the times and knew what to do’. In an age of confusion it’s clearly something that we need today. The devil’s tactic as the father of lies is to sow discord, create confusion and magnify division. It appears…

Leisa Ebere: a vision of dry bones rising

Leisa emails me yesterday, ‘The Lord took me into a powerful vision in the early hours of the morning, which speaks about His discontent with those who are not living in the fullness of His Spirit. His heart’s desire is that we rise up and embrace the Glory, Power and Grace that His Precious Son, Jesus, died for, so that we can live victorious lives. Here it is:

THE RISING OF THE DRY BONES VISION

given to Leisa Ebere on 18th February 2020

‘The Lord took me into a vision, to a very desolate place, and it was extremely quiet there, as if it had been forgotten and forsaken entirely. And then as I looked in the distance I saw the valley of the dry bones, as is spoken of in Ezekiel 37, and I saw that there were snake pits throughout the valley and that certain bones were being blown into the snake pits over and over again. Then I heard the Lord say,

“Those who will not rise when My Prophets extend Words from My Throne Room shall fall into deeper deception. But those who rise and walk towards the Brightness of My Rising shall be connected and empowered for a glorious purpose.”

‘Then I saw an angel fly with what looked like weights and measures and that he had positioned himself on a high hill above the valley, and I saw there was a legion of angels standing with him and some were blowing shofars and others were singing in a mighty assembly on that hill. Then the Lord proclaimed in a loud thunderous voice,

“The gathering of My People shall not be stopped by Unbelief or Deceptions. For the testimony of humanism and traditions of men shall pass away and be labelled as foolishness, as My Sovereign hand moves upon the Nations of the earth. For My Glory shall be released to free the captives and to protect the innocent and My forbearance of this present Age is coming to end,” said the Lord of Hosts.’

Blessings,

Leisa Ebere,

We’re not in a contest of power – but are contending in God-given AUTHORITY — Wanda Alger

In this ace follow-up Wanda reminds me of what I heard upon opening my Bible 12 years ago to check the wheat and tares parable only to hear, “This is ALL about to be fulfilled”. (Hence I began writing about End-times with The Endgame is now in play.)

Note that Wanda writes, “…In these days when the wheat and the tares are growing together and evil is continuing to rise, it is not those who exert the most power that will determine the outcome, but those who have been given the greater authority…”

As our president faces ongoing threats and attacks from his opponents, we can be assured that his assignment will not fail if we understand the superiority of legitimate authority. 828 more words

Do we know what we’re fighting for? — Wanda Alger

In addressing American disciples of the Lord, what Wanda says about that political scene also applies to Britain; eg. in standing against the illegal action of cancelling venues for the Frank Graham evangelistic tour > click to sign petition to the Home Secretary!  (See also ‘Thought police’ cancel events with Christian speakers.)

‘…It’s only when the legislation that is being passed behind closed doors comes to our own front doors, that we start to realize we need to pay attention and get involved. Yes, we must pray. Yes, we must stand in the gap and start speaking up about these issues that are core to our faith and critical to our witness. But, we must also begin thinking about our own responsibility in leading the way to reformation and transformation…’

Given current events, it is obvious we are in for a long stretch of war this coming year. But, this will not be a war of political parties as much as a war of spiritual powers in the high places of our nation. 904 more words

Twenty Twenty – on this New Year and New Decade

David Chapman, author of several postings and papers on this blog kindly offers his following reflections and insights, or spiritual ‘sightings’ – can’t resist play on words to do with light and seeing. Dave notes, “Some obvious things in this one, but hopefully some confirmatory and useful things too”.:

TWENTY TWENTY

by Dave Chapman

There are some things I believe we may look to see coming into focus in this Year of 2020, and indeed this 20’s decade.

First, a ‘Look’ at 20/20 Vision

This phrase is one we connect with ‘having good eyesight’. We can see at a certain distance (20 feet) what is expected of us – normal eyesight. It provides a necessary sharpness of vision.

There is a clarity to the object/person, away from us. We can see clearly now. People who have cataracts look through a mist. But when the cataracts are removed there is a restoration of sight, sharpness, and clarity.

This is one thing God will be doing for His people this year. He will be giving the clarity of seeing things as they really are. Removing the veil from before our eyes. The ability to see and to discern in the spiritual realm, between good and evil (Hebrews 5 v 14). To see what kind of ‘spirit’ is at work.

One of the great lacks in the Body of Christ has been the ‘gift of Discernment of spirits’ (1 Corinthians 12 v 10). I believe the operation of this will be greatly sharpened this year. To discern/see what the enemy is doing among God’s people will be identified and rooted out. Conversely, what God is doing will be recognised, hosted, or encouraged.
It is important not to judge by the outward, but to see what is behind things. “The Lord looks on the heart”, as He said to Samuel about who was to be anointed King, (1 Sam 16 v 7), and Jesus said to the Jews around Him, “judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgement” (John 7 v 24). We have to see with different eyes to those of the flesh, we need to see with our spiritual eyes, and this is a year for that to take place. We need to see behind the curtain of the flesh.

Insight

Then again the 20/20’s speak of ‘In-sight’. It looks like this will continue through the decade too! I’ll apply this to what, and how, we need to walk with God. With insight as to who He really is, His greatness, His mercy; the abundance of His love toward us; the workings of His grace within us, both for us and through us. For insight as to the ways of God, and of man.

Having insight as to who we are in Him. Revelation of our Sonship; our Royal Priesthood, and what that means in practice; of what He has placed by His Spirit inside each of us for His individual callings on our lives; discovering what we each are individually to give ourselves to as a result; of where our energies need to be applied. Of greater appreciation of His righteousness in us, and of His righteous clothing upon us, and of the glorious call to Holiness in our walk with Him.

Foresight

This is to do with being able to see ahead, by revelation; a sense in our spirit, an inner ‘knowing’ of what is ahead, so that we can make the appropriate plans, adjust our schedules and make the necessary practical alterations and adjustments that mean we are ready for when what we are preparing for arrives upon us! For fresh oil in, and with, our Lamps too, as a Bride being prepared for Him.

It is good being able to see ahead, but application is needed for it to be of any use!
It means an even greater reliance on the prophetic than we may already have. The early church had this in abundance. Foresight of the coming famine in the world (Acts 11 v 28); the church was led through prophetic revelation, advanced greatly even – as with Paul and Barnabas being set apart for their callings, as in Antioch ( Acts 13 v 1).
There will be greater revelation concerning the days we are living in too; of how to live in this present world; and of how to apply ourselves to walking worthily of His calling; to be the lights God has called us to be.

A Year – even Decade – of Openings

Being able to see the openings He places before us. Like Jacob who was made Ready after 20 years, to Return to the Land. We shall be seeing this at this time, as we as a Nation ‘return to the land of our fathers’, just as Jacob was told by the Lord “Return to the Land of your fathers….” (Gen 31 v 3). We, as a Nation, are on the way to return to that which the Fathers of our Nation founded here. We have served too long as if in and from a foreign land, and we will Reclaim our heritage – that which the Lord laid out for us – and established in the Land millenia ago.

On parting company with his uncle he said “This 20 years I have been with you….” (Gen 31 v 38), and, “I served you 14 years for your two daughters and 6 years for your cattle” (v 41). And…he did not leave empty handed, but rather well provided for!

Solomon was 20 years building his house and the Temple (1 Kings 9 v 10), and at the end of these 20 years there was a Readiness for a new era of blessing; for prosperity like never before; expansion; for progress and protection. He of course wrote the Book of Proverbs – the 20th Book in our Bible! It’s wisdom recorded there will be vital for us this new decade, as “the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ” (Eph 1 v 17) is poured out upon us. Indeed this will be accompanied by “the spirit of the fear of the Lord” (Isaiah 11 v 2), which is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom (Proverbs 1 v 7, and 9 v 10).

And of Opportunities

Being 20 years old was also the age at which the young men were enlisted in Israel’s army, “all those twenty and above” (Numbers 1 v 45). They were of an age to be ready, indeed responsible, to defend their new nation, and to further its cause. Spiritual warfare will no longer be left to the older generation, but will become the responsibility of all those who are beyond the ‘student age’, spiritually speaking. Basically, if they are among those who are committed to the Lord, they will ‘get signed up’ from now on, into the soldier mentality; and becoming warriors for the Lord! Is there not a cause? Yes, yes, there certainly is!

Time to Rebuild

Ezra enlisted all those from the tribe of Levi above the age of 20 to Rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem after they had returned from captivity in Babylon ( Ezra 3 v 8). These 2020’s will be the time to rebuild our Nation. A time to restore what has been broken, naturally and spiritually. A time when the presence of the Lord can be returned to our Land in a way we have not known for decades.

These things excite me in spirit. I believe we are in for one of the best times we have ever known. Not without conflict, of course, but with readiness, and equipped to be able to triumph!

2019-2020 Fulfilled Prophecies, 2 of 3: Three blessings after three woes, including war with Iran! (#50)

Christopher Wickland released this prophecy four months ago but has re-released it in response to recent events. If new to you, I recommend its careful study and weighing.

I’m tempted to emphasise parts in addition to that of America’s response to Iran’s killing US citizens and attacking its sovereign territory (ie. US embassy in Baghdad; which is tantamount to a declaration of war!) – but I leave my readers to note aspects that have been, or are becoming, fulfilled.

In my opinion, ‘government’ in the 1st woe covers the three arms of Executive, Parliamentary and Judicial authority within Britain.

THE THREE WOES AND THE THREE BLESSINGS

Introduction

My name is Christopher Wickland, I’ve been a Christian going on for nearly 30 years. Over that time I have received many visions and dreams I believe to be from the Lord. Some of those visions and dreams have impacted and literally saved peoples lives.

There has been many words and dreams I have held onto for a long time, over 20 years regarding the war with Iran, the great economic collapse and the Great Revival. All of these words in the time I received them were very much out of time in respect to the world’s then geopolitical climate.

I feel now is the time to start opening up these words and revealing them to the general public for those who wish to hear such things. This word I am about to give will contain elements of those words including new prophetic insights I believe the Lord has given to me.

This prophetic word will be broken into two sections. A message of woe and a message of hope.

I need to make it clear, that I do not live to be a sensationalist, to grab attention or to be one who seeks stardom in the small world of the prophetic. On the contrary, I wish to be one who would rather hide in the shadows and remain hidden. I would rather live out my life in peace with God and man. It brings me no joy whatsoever to bring prophetic words, especially weighty ones.

MESSAGE OF WOE

The First Woe

The first part of this prophecy is aimed at the Stone Wall in our government. This is for those who have ears to hear, and have understanding to what the Spirit is saying.

“Oh Stone Wall. You have become great and marvelous in the eyes of man. You have grown from a child to a man. You have become as a king, dictating your edicts across this land with pride and arrogance. But know this. I never put you where you are today. I have allowed you to become the size you are so that I may bring you down with a mighty fall. I will chop down the tree of your influence. I will not even permit a stump to remain. I will utterly wipe the memory of you from this land.

“I am the Lord of breakthrough and I will shatter you Stone Wall. You think you are impenetrable, you think no one sees or knows. But I see, I know and to me you are as a grain of sand. I will destroy you Stone Wall and I will grind you to dust. You will never rise again and never again put your edicts and rules over this land again.”

The Second Woe

“I have declared a wind of change to blow through this nation. This wind is cold, sharp and bitter and it will tear down the institutions and arrogance of man. To My people I say, do not fear this wind. This must come before revival. I will clear the rubble of the empires of man before I will rise the Kingdom of My Name. [Cf RB’s ‘bulldozer’ word of 2014]

“My people, do not fear. I have not failed or forsaken you. I am with you always to the end of the Age. My wind of change will blow through government and establishments that no longer revere or respect My Name. I will shake all that can be shaken so that what remains will be made strong and intact.

“This wind will bring great shaking to the financial institutions of this land, indeed it will spread out to the whole world. For a season the systems of Babylon must be restrained. My people it is time for you to come out of Babylon and its time for Babylon to come out of My people.

“The wind of change will be painful but not unbearable. Great shaking and change is about to come upon this nation. My people do not fear this wind, for this is of My doing.

“I will shake all that can be shaken, even the institutions within my church. Many will fall in this hour from lofty hights and many in the mud will be raised up. Do not be surprised by this. Many will be surprised by what gets pulled down and what remains. Some may become shocked at what I choose to raise up in the days ahead.”

The Third Woe

“War is coming and it’s time to be prepared and not be troubled by this. I need to warn my people that this is not the battle of Gog and Magog. Many will claim it is, but it is not. Take comfort in this.

“A perfect storm is coming. War with Iran will be inevitable. America will be the first to fire back. This will escalate into a protracted season of conflict that will affect the nations.

“This war will cause the rise of militant Islam to take a hold in this country. Great fear will grab this nation as they realise they have an enemy within that they cannot see. But I want my people in this hour to not fear. Yes, some persecution will come from Islam to my people in this country. But it will be for a short season and then it will end.”

MESSAGE OF HOPE AND BLESSING

The First Blessing

“Many will question why I let the three woes come about. Many will point the finger at Me and wonder why. Let me be clear, the finger of blame lies within your governments. They have polluted this land with doctrines and laws that are not of me. The prayers of the saints have come up to me and I have heard those prayers.

“The three woes are not to harm my people, they are part of the dismantling of the profane, that good may rise from the ashes.

“The First blessing is growth. I will bring a new season of Spring to this nation. Once the bitter wind of change has blown its course, new life will come to this nation again. I love your green and pleasant land and I wish to use you as a sheep nation in these days. I chose to use you as a mighty oak in the orchard of the nations to be blessed to be a blessing to those around you.

“You will be instrumental in standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel. I will bless you, to enable you to stand with her and I will bless you greatly for standing with her.”

The Second Blessing

“The Second blessing will be a religious revival in the land of Great Britain. Churches will come to life and grow throughout all the land. It will be as in the days of Wesley. Churches will spring up in every city, village and town.

“I will do outlandish and interesting things. I will raise up again monastic houses of prayer and prayer communities throughout this nation to pray for the land of Britain. To work the land and bless the land that healing may come to the soil. I will heal the land for all the pollution of sin and wickedness that has corrupted it.

“In these days I will move in great power, signs and wonders will be seen by many. These will be days of open heavens and many will come to know me as they sense my presence filling up this land. My presence will be as a wonderful incense. It will permeate this land and all will sense it. All will breath it in and be changed by it. In these days many, many will give their lives to me.

“This is a blessing with a great charge. My people be ready for this harvest. Don’t ever turn people away. Move with me, don’t move against me because of fear. Be prepared to move into uncharted waters in these days in respect to church growth.”

The Third Blessing

“I will make this nation a head and not a tail. I will raise her up in the days ahead because I have plans for this nation. Plans to prosper and not plans to harm.

“I have remembered the prayers of this nation that have come before me for over a thousand years. They will not go unheeded or unanswered. I will beautify My Name in this Land again.

“Many will read this and wonder how such things can be. Wait and see for the Lord is good and His promises shall not tarry but surely come to pass.

“This nation will have in this blessing a strong, trusted and godly government that walks on the foundations of my Word. The government of this land will once again be respected and appreciated. It will no longer be a laughing stock. Indeed I will make it so that the former days will not be brought to remembrance.

“Do not fear my flock, do not be afraid. Be prepared for a winter of discontent. Set your faces like flint for the Spring that is soon to follow. I promise you that I will protect you and provide for you. Do not be afraid, only believe. You are going to see the goodness of My Name in the land of the living.”
