Status quo resumption realigns Russia-Israel Realpolitiks with Bible prophecy!

The ‘Gog-Magog’ prophecy of Ezekiel (chapters 38 and 39) is back in play! Events in last week’s news made me reconsider its relevance to current international affairs.

But now comes new news!

After posting Thursday’s Bible Update on the implicit accord or ‘understandings’ agreed between Netanyahu and Trump with Putin, I thought this development deviates from the prophesied wars against God’s people in Israel from an alliance of peoples in north and north-eastern Middle-East: currently, Iran, Syria and Turkey under Russian leadership. As that stance seems to be changing by Russia supposedly ignoring or going against Iran’s policy and by coming to an ‘understanding’ of Israel’s need to defend itself against continuous Iranian hostility, perhaps the prophecy isn’t yet applicable?

Therefore, perhaps we need to be open to such a possibility bringing an outcome that doesn’t line up with scripture as it’s not yet the ‘appointed time’?

HOWEVER, yesterday brought news of a diplomatic rift, as exclusively reported by DEBKAfile in Breakdown in Russian-Israeli “Understandings” for S. Syria:

‘The US-Russian-Israel formula for South Syria, composed in painstaking discussions for weeks, is not working. This became clear in phone conversations on Friday, July 20, between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Vladimir Putin and their defense ministers. The “understandings” they had apparently reached were proving inoperable, including Russia’s guarantees for the non-presence of Iranian militias and Hizballah near Israel’s Golan border.

‘The breakdown stemmed from an abrupt Russian U-turn. Russian diplomats were suddenly claiming that Moscow never agreed to have Iranian proxies and Hizballah pushed back from the Israel border or out of Syria at large…’

Thus, PM Netanyahu said Israel is free to engage and wipe out Iranian or Hezbollah forces in the Golan border area, and went into a high state of operational readiness.

So today (Monday), the Russian Foreign Minister and Chief of Staff urgently arrived in Israel for further talks. Last night Netanyahu had described events to his Cabinet in these revealing terms:

‘He said Israel will not accept the Syrian army’s entry to the buffer zone set up by the 1974 Syrian-Israeli separation of forces accord, thereby indicating that he did not trust in Syrian compliance with this accord, despite the guarantee offered by President Vladimir Putin in their phone conversation on Friday, July 20. DEBKAfile’s sources note that Putin’s pledge came after he reneged on a series of promises he gave US President Donald Trump and Netanyahu in recent weeks, relating to keeping the Iranians and their proxies away from the Israeli border.’ (Read full details here)

UPDATE on MONDAY’s MEETING

The Russians returned empty-handed to Moscow after offering to move Iranian-allied forces in Syria back beyond 100km of the Israeli border but being rejected by Israel.

The Times of Israel reports, ‘Israel is sticking to its demand that Iran not be allowed any military foothold in Syria, the official stressed. Israel is furthermore demanding that all long-range missiles be removed from the war-torn country and that any factories producing precision-guided missiles there be shut, the official said.

‘Additionally, Jerusalem has asked Moscow to guarantee that all air-defense systems that protect the aforementioned arms be taken out of Syria. Lastly, Israel requested the closing of border crossings between Syria and Lebanon and between Syria and Iraq, to prevent Iranian weapons being smuggled into Syria.’

Military sources had provided Debka ‘pre-news service’ with details of 8 pro-Iran militias operating in the Golan area. Therefore, according to their latest report:

‘Israel’s leaders confronted their Russian visitors with the charge that, if they can’t – or won’t – remove these hostile forces from Israel’s doorstep, how can they be trusted to keep their pledge to hold them at a distance of 100km?

‘Putin’s emissaries, despite their high rank, had little hope of talking Israeli leaders around when the evidence of his perfidy was in full sight. Contrary to his pledges to the US and Israel, Hizballah and Shiite militias loyal to Tehran were operating freely at this moment on the Syrian-Israeli Golan border.’

Bible Update: Russia’s lead in Middle-East recognised

Vladimir Putin’s ‘twin summits’ with Benjamin Netanyahu and then with Donald Trump, bring this update on developments relating to the Gog-Magog alliance, as foretold by Ezekiel. (Click this posts tags for background, and links for full reports):

16 July: Trump & Putin agree on keeping Israel safe (but) not much else – ‘Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin told the press that their two-hour face-to-face on Monday, July 16, in Helsinki, was a success. But, the impression was that there was very little agreement on the issues they touched on, including Iran, Syria or Crimea. Neither referred to the removal of Iran and its proxies from Syria, as Israel has demanded. Putin appeared to say that Israeli security was served by the Israeli-Syrian 1974 Separation of Forces agreement on the Golan and advised extending it to the Syrian-Jordanian border as well. Trump noted: “We both talk to Benjamin Netanyahu, work with him on Syria and agree on the importance of Israel’s safety.”..It would seem that the high speculation ahead of the summit of a deal in the making between the two presidents for Iran to quit Syria in return for a US military pullback was pie in the sky.’

16 July Debka Exclusive: Netanyahu’s secret consent to hand Golan crossing to Syria led to Trump-Putin deal on Israel’s border security – ‘(Trump and Putin) joined in their support for Israel’s security (as above) after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told them both that he had withdrawn his objections to the Syrian army reinstating its line of outposts in the Quenitra district, including control of the Ein Zivan-Quneitra border crossing. This is the only transit point between Israel and Syria….’

18 July: Secret Helsinki deal: US & Israel hand Russia controlling role on Syria’s Israel-Jordan borders – ‘…DEBKAfile has obtained exclusive access to this deal and can reveal for the first time that it provides for the handover to Russian responsibility of all parts of southern and southwestern Syria abutting on the Israeli and Jordanian borders, including, most importantly, surveillance and observation elevations that oversee all parts of Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean. Trump and Binyamin Netanyahu thereby gave Putin a valuable asset for boosting Russia’s military presence in Syria and the region at large…’ (emphasis added)

For a better grasp of President’s Trump’s apparently incorrect and/or muddled remarks on investigations into Russian hacking read investigative journalist Melanie Phillips’ in-depth analysis in The Hysteria Over Helsinki and the Real Threat to the Free World.

Melanie wisely concludes (emphases mine):

‘Trump’s personality flaws – his self-obsession, his lack of attention span, his thin skin against criticism, his inability to speak carefully and accurately – are plain for all to see. The crucial point, however, is not what Trump says, nor the content of his character, but what he does and what he achieves.

‘And here’s what Putin said that was potentially so significant. For his remarks suggested that he would support Trump’s attempts to defang both Iran and North Korea. If Trump turns out to have succeeded in detaching Russia from Iran over Syria and from China over North Korea, that would be a huge step towards defeating two of the most evil and dangerous regimes in the world.

‘Seen in this light, the reaction of the media and political class to the Helsinki press conference was not just hysterical and disproportionate and a display of near-pathological hatred towards Donald Trump, but a malevolent undermining of the most promising attempt for years to tackle some of the major threats to the peace and security of the world.’

Does Russia’s apparent change towards Iran and favouring Israel disprove the ‘Gog-Magog’ prophecy or indicate it’s not yet applicable in its fullness? Iranian duplicity over secret nuclear facilities

This week’s news of the Iranian regime’s secret deals for advancing its plans to develop nuclear weapons comes as absolutely no surprise to well-informed watchers.

As noted in closing Latest: Iran’s Dual-strategy Against Halting the Nuclear Accord on 24th May, informed folk are extremely wary of all fanatical regime’s secret schemes and strategies, especially when it’s their consistently avowed aim to attack and destroy the state of Israel.

I cited how assiduously the homicidal thug Saddam Hussein had sought to build nuclear weapons and missiles, as revealed by the Christian Iraqi air vice-marshal and general Georges Sada in his book Saddam’s Secrets. It was only his unequivocal advice not to launch a surprise air strike upon Israel and Jordan on the grounds of meeting a superior air force, and possible nuclear retaliation in the event of launching missiles on Tel Aviv, that the maniac called off the proposed attack. Chapter 10 provides details how WMD were transported by the dictator’s instructions into Syria, thus confirming DebkaFile’s early intelligence.

Therefore, news last weekend of the German state of Baden-Wurtemburg’s intelligence agency publishing a report on the Iranian regime’s covert attempt in 2017 to secure advanced technology and scientific knowledge for its missile and nuclear programmes, was only to be expected! That is, Iran’s duplicity occurred whilst supposedly keeping to the nuclear deal, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, agreed in 2015 with six world powers!!

The 345-page report seen by The Jerusalem Post was published before US President Trump’s decision of 8th May to pull out of the JCPOA. According to the intelligence report, “Iran has continued unchanged the pursuit of its ambitious program to acquire technology for its rocket and missile-delivery program.” Iran’s reported test of the mid-range Chorramschahr rocket in September was cited in the document.

“Iran’s regime seeks German software, sophisticated vacuum and control-engineering technologies, measurement devices and advanced electrical equipment for its rocket program, said the report. Germany is Iran’s most important European trade partner and has been the European country most willing to resist US policy to wind down trade with Iran. The US labels Iran’s regime a leading state-sponsor of terrorism.”

Clearly, the Iranian regime cannot be trusted and doubtless defends its actions under the Islamic principle of ‘Taqiyya‘, or acceptable lying, dissimulation and deception in certain circumstances in relations with non-Muslims; for example, in wanting to gain the upper-hand over one’s enemy, as was exemplified by the religion’s founder!

According to Debka, in his response today to Iran’s announcing the completion within a month of a facility at Natanz to produce advanced centrifuges for speeding up uranium enrichment, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warns, “We won’t allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. Iran is aware of our resolve.”

Lastly, DebkaFile reports: ‘As for the “new facility” at Natanz far from being completed in a month, as (Iran’s atomic energy czar) Salehi affirmed, we can report that it was built in fact four years ago – another example of Iran’s tactics of confusion. The finished building is shown in the photo at the head of this item. It is ready for activation at the push of a button.’ (Emphasis mine)

LATEST on Iran’s dual-strategy against halting nuclear accord

Further to my re-blog of Joel Rosenberg’s report on Secretary Pompeo’s speech on the USA’s new strategy on dealing with the Iranian regime, this morning’s pre-mainstream media news reveals the latter’s dual-strategy. It involves not only installing new surface-to-air missile batteries around their nuclear enrichment facilities at Natanz to protect from any Israeli and/or US attack, but also giving European powers an ultimatum!

According to DebkaFile, yesterday Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, ‘tried to counter Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s ultimatum with his own for the European powers, the UK, France and Germany, which are trying to save the 2015 nuclear deal after the US walkout.

‘The dictats he put before them included:

  • ‘European banks must safeguard trade with Iran, and
  • ‘stop seeking new negotiations on Iran’s ballistic missile program and regional Middle East activities to gratify the US president.
  • ‘The Europeans must further guarantee Iran’s oil sales and compensate Tehran for losses incurred from US sanctions.
  • ‘If Europe fails to meet Khamenei’s demands, Iran will go back to enriching uranium, effectively turning its back on the 2015 nuclear deal.’

The Debka report concludes, ‘Israel is now back to square one, ie. 2012, when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Ehud Barak, then defense minister, and Eliezer Shekedi, air force chief at the time, had girded Israel up for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, only to be held back by the Obama administration’s push for nuclear negotiations with Tehran.’

I note CBS News reported Monday in European Allies Alarmed...‘Reacting to Pompeo’s speech, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson committed to shielding European companies from renewed sanctions. “We are going to do everything we possibly can,” Johnson said of protecting European companies. “I’m not totally pessimistic about the situation.” Johnson said a “new jumbo Iran negotiation” would not be “very easy to achieve.”

‘For the time being, at least, Europeans are not shrinking away from the JCPOA. Federica Mogherini, the high representative of the European Union, explained that Europeans will remain committed to “full and effective implementation” of the JCPOA so long as Iran upholds its commitments. She also explained that Europeans are still unsure of the U.S. rationale for leaving the deal. (She said Monday) “Pompeo’s speech has not demonstrated how walking away from the JCPOA has made or will make the region safer from the threat of nuclear proliferation or how it puts us in a better position to influence Iran’s conduct.”

Such clueless comments arise from failing to follow God’s written word, thereby gaining an appreciation of His purposes in establishing the Jewish state of Israel. In view of this blog’s material on the EU, the perplexity of its ‘high representative’ is not surprising and suggests an influence from elsewhere! Any intelligent person, knowing how assiduously the homicidal thug Saddam Hussein sought to build nuclear weapons and missiles, only to be prevented by the second Gulf War, would be extremely wary of all other fanatics’ surreptitious schemes and strategies to do the same; especially when consistently proclaiming their aim of destroying Israel. Pompeo-HeritageIranSpeech(Washington, D.C.) — Iranian leaders hated it. Most European leaders hated it. So did most former advisors to President Obama and Vice President Biden, and most of Washington’s so-called “experts.” But this is hardly news.

What’s fascinating is that most Arab leaders loved it.

I’ve spoken with two very high-ranking Arab officials in recent days about the speech delivered by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at The Heritage Foundation on Monday morning. Both made it clear to me how deeply grateful and appreciative their countries are to the Trump-Pence administration for finally taking a bold, decisive, uncompromising position against Iranian aggression.

Fulfilled Prophecy #28: Iran’s ‘quake on Israel’s 70th – and Daniel..!

After sticking Charles Shamp’s prophetic words of Dec 2016 on the Brussels beast and the UK, with that of Feb 2017 on America’s embassy moving to Jerusalem, onto the blog’s home page as a result of their popularity, I was nudged to visit his Prophet’s Loft and to rummage around – I got a couple of surprises!

Now, do you recall my earlier surprise upon learning of an earthquake in the vicinity of Iran’s nuclear reactor actually happening on 19th April – Israel’s holiday celebrating its 70th Independence Day?

In checking out Charlie Shamp’s collection of prophetic words I find two confirming my sensing the unique significance of that ‘quake as being a ‘Sign from God’ (see herein) -not only geologically but also geopolitically – where I wrote

‘By ‘coincidence’ a geological ‘act of God’ took place on 19th April 2018 – the 5.5 magnitude earthquake in the vicinity of Iran’s nuclear power plant at Bushehr. As mentioned, I’d already mused on a ‘quake happening and blogged:

‘…we could reasonably consider this may be a direct warning to Iran that the same, or bigger, can so easily happen to its nuclear programme at any time! Moreover, it’s occurring on the year’s cyclically critical date of 19-20 April is surely no coincidence!

Here are pertinent extracts of what Charlie delivered this year:
1. A Time of Earthquakes and Eruptions (4th January)

“…I am going to shake up everything; turn some nations upside down. There will be natural shakings in the nations, yes a natural earthquake will be felt. In a nation that desired for war to shake the ground in the Middle East. You have plotted against my people, you have plotted against my Israel and you will be shaken, your land will shake, your ground will quake. I will overturn a royal throne and shatter the power of a kingdom that has come against my people. I will overthrow your government, dismantle your weapons and armaments and throw your army into confusion. The desire you have had to utterly destroy my people will come upon you unless you repent…”

2. I Saw Egypt and Iran in The Spirit (24th March)

‘…Again I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Iran, your deal is done, the foreign favors have come to an end. You have dealt harshly against my people Israel. You have sought their destruction and demise. I have seen your plan to tear Israel apart and wipe her from of the face of the earth. Your heart of hate has forced my hand against you and your agreement with America will be torn in two! Now you will deal with me in the days to come.

“Behold, I will break your bow Iran, the foremost of your might will be destroyed! For I will cause you to be dismayed before your enemies and before those who seek your life. I will bring disaster upon you and I will send the sword of my word and it will strike your heart, yes the heart of Tehran. I will set My throne in your nation and will destroy from there the king and the princes. I will bring back the captives of the nation. Those who gather with me in secret to pray are more then those who meet with you in the open. I have heard the cry of my people coming from this land for freedom. I have caused my word to be heard in the heart of the nation and soon some you trust will turn to me and bow their knee. The destruction I will bring will not be by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit. My hand will sweep across the nation and many will be saved in one single day.

“There is a rumbling coming that will shake the ground, you will feel it’s force. For it will be a sign of what will come a shaking in your government, a shaking in economy, a shaking of your religion. I will shake free every hand and feet from the shackles that hold them and they will walk free, yes they will march in the streets. I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will shatter deception and scatter your lies by these winds, get ready for it will begin. The dry bones will come to life! Even the bones of my Prophet Daniel who is buried in your country will shake as a sign that my people in the nation will awake.”

I’ve only just read that closing reference to Daniel when copying the prophecy into place and it took me totally by surprise – it’s personally poignant in view of the many instances his Book has popped up over the past month, as recounted in GPS#16.

History in the making: Trump terminates US role in ‘nuclear deal’ with Iran

Thirty years ago my jaw dropped upon seeing an utterly amazing ‘coincidence’ between a book I was reading (The Invisible Hand) and a video of Iran’s elite troops rehearsing an attack upon, and liberation of, Jerusalem (see ‘Bio’ ). After many years watching the malign machinations of that regime, I’m pleased there’s now a non-Israeli world leader adamantly refusing to tolerate Iranian terrorism AND is already taking action – with Britain and France! – as well as knowing those ‘Twelvers’ hell-bent eschatological motives! (Jerusalem, Israel) — The news is just breaking here that Prime Minister Netanyahu will speak live to the nation in a televised address at 8pm local time (1pm Eastern).

At this hour, the PM is meeting with his Security Cabinet.

What we’re hearing so far is that the PM will discuss new intelligence Israel has obtained about Iran’s nuclear program and new plots Iran is developing against the State of Israel.

The speech comes at a moment of high tension in the region.

  • The Syrian regime continues using chemical weapons against its own people, despite the fact Russian President Putin and then US-President Barack Obama assured us all chemical weapons had been removed from Syria.
  • Russia and Iran continue to consolidate their military positions in Syria, and to prop up the Assad regime to keep the dictator in power.

Thursday 19th’s prophetical musing fulfilled Friday 20th by Iran quake!

Having prepared materials for the blog introducing the especial significance of the 3rd week of April, then being surprised by the 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence, I went on to finish publishing. Only then did I begin mulling over everything that’s going on in this ‘Month of Infamy’, as Eric Hadik regards April with its regular crisis days of 19th and 20th April.

So weird that Israel has Memorial Day and Independence Day on those two dates!

In particular last Thursday, 19th April, I mused over the purported anti-chemical attacks in Syria as cloaking Iranian activities to prepare for their eventual assault upon Israel,  and wondered if they may mount some sort of attack during the holiday celebrations. Those who’ve been following the news will be aware of America’s intention to revise the international ‘Nuclear Deal’ with Iran.

Then I chuckled on recalling the Lord’s promises to protect Israel and that Iran may well come a ‘cropper’ – then this popped into mind > the Lord could arrange for a huge hole to open up and swallow their nuclear weapons facilities!

On catching up with overnight news on Friday morning, 20th April, my jaw dropped on seeing this headline on Koenig’s World Watch Daily home page:

‘Iran quake, at least 5.5 in magnitude, strikes near nuclear power plant’

It was followed by the map shown published the previous day in The Times of Israel (click/tap image for link, opens in same window):

Further to February’s Bible Updates on Israel & USA vs Iran & Russia, I’m now reading  DebkaFile’s exclusive report issued just after midday, Jerusalem, about Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu and Russian president Putin at loggerheads during yesterday’s phone conversation, which Bibi had initiated:

‘Vladimir Putin warned Binyamin Netanyahu to discontinue Israeli strikes in Syria because they may rock the Assad regime [backed by Moscow] and insisted on Israel respecting Syrian sovereignty and security. By this warning, Russia clamped down on the freedom the Israeli air force had hitherto enjoyed in Syrian air space for striking hostile elements, primarily Iran and Hizballah.

‘Netanyahu shot back, according to our sources, that Israel cannot possibly desist from action over Syria, since this would leave Iran at liberty to establish a permanent, hostile military presence in that country. And so, said the prime minister, Israel would have to persevere in its efforts to stop this happening. The conversation between Putin and Netanyahu ended in total discord…‘

Previously, Israel had kept Russia appraised of possible action against Iranian military activity inimical to Israel’s safety. As well as his knowing the existence of many sources of the nerve agent toxin Novichok, the release of which necessitated continued closure to the public of many locations within the city of Salisbury, that most sensitive working relationship meant Netanyahu refrained from joining the wide, international censure of Russia over the poisoning incident.  It’s no wonder their villainous and deeply sinister schemes countenance their Syrian vassal’s continued commissioning of war crimes.

There was, however, another reason: Israel was preparing a pre-emptive airstrike against Iranian hardware at the T-4 airbase near Homs in Syria and this time kept Russia in the dark but informed President Trump!  This change of tack brought forth a dramatic change in Kremlin’s longstanding practice of letting Israel’s military operations pass without comment. Moscow’s tone towards Israel turned hostile (9 April) reports:

‘DebkaFile’s military and intelligence sources say that Moscow’s ire was prompted by five causes and more hostile steps against Israel may be coming:

  1. Israel’s reported military strike in Syria hit President Vladimir Putin at a highly vulnerable moment, when the US and its Western allies were holding him directly accountable for chemical weapons attacks in Syria and the United Kingdom.
  2. Putin never imagined that the nerve agent attack on the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter would be tied in with allegations that the Russian-backed Assad regime was using poison gas against Syrian civilians in Douma near Damascus.
  3. The Russian president suspects that Israel struck the T-4 airbase, a shared Syrian-Russian-Iranian air facility, as an advance foray on behalf of the US for testing Moscow’s reaction to a larger operation. He is therefore pushing back strongly against the Israeli attack to ward off a US sequel.
  4. After Israel’s wide-ranging air offensive on Feb. 10, which ended in one of its F-16 jets being shot down, Putin warned Jerusalem to desist from further attacks on Syrian targets, else the Russian air force would hit back. Israel complied for two months. But then, the compulsion became pressing to take out a key Iranian target, even at the risk of Russian disfavor.’

On the ‘Ezekiel 38 Alliance’, or Gog-Magog, political front we need to note the recent summit in Ankara between the leaders of Russia, Turkey and Iran. Most noteworthy is the fact their currencies are ‘tumbling in tandem’, as reported by Asia Times.

Close on the heels of the summit Iran’s supreme leader once again spoke about their intentions of removing Israel. On arriving in Damascus on Tuesday his senior adviser, Ali Akbar Velayati, bluntly stated, “Israel’s air strike on the Syrian air base will not go unanswered,” he said, At the same time Tehran gained support from its Russian ally in the visit of special Russian emissary on Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev. In a long meeting with Iran’s national security adviser Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Russian said Iran’s decision for a military response to the T-4 attack was understandable. He proposes combining Iran’s action against Israel with Russia’s plans for countering the forthcoming US-British-France operation in Syria (Moscow-Tehran link up to strike Israeli targets in response to US-led operation in Syria).

Those familiar with the prophetic nature of the holy scriptures watch all developments with deep interest. For example, here’s what the prophet Isiah brought that’s now coming into fulfillment in our days on ‘The burden (oracle/prophecy) against Damascus’ (Isaiah 17:1):

“Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.”

White House sources reported that the new group would be ceremonially launched in Washington this week. The Emirates national security adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan will come over to join the event. The emir himself is expected in Washington soon.

US TRANSFERS TWO MID-EAST BASES:

‘Plans to speed up the transfer of the big US CENTCOM base in Qatar to Saudi Arabia were approved by President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Muhamed bin Salman when they met at the White House on Tuesday, March 20. This is an earth-shaking event for the Middle East, which far transcends US-Saudi relations, say DEBKAfile’s military sources. They also disclose that, despite repeated denials, the Trump administration is in the process of another momentous move, packing up its air force and quitting Incirlik in southern Turkey, the biggest air base in the region.

Acceleration of Biblical End-times events is speeding up!

Upon hearing presenter J.D. Farag’s opening remarks in Sunday’s Mid-East Prophecy Update I was instantly reminded of these intertwined personal revelations:

  1. after being stunned upon hearing,“This is ALL about to be fulfilled” (see The Endgame Is Now In Play) I started monitoring current events more closely, and
  2. noted those related to Bible prophecies occurring with an increasing rapidity!!

This pastor of Calvary Chapel Kaneohe in Honolulu catches everyone’s attention with,

“As I was preparing for today’s Prophecy Update I was struck with how swiftly everything is happening – how fast everything is speeding up. To me, it’s almost as if world leaders are being motivated by some force to move quickly, and to strike while the proverbial iron is hot.

“So, what I want to talk about today is what seems to be this global expediting – of sorts – and in so doing I want to answer the question of ‘Why the fulfillment of Bible prophecy is on fast-forward?’

“I’ve used that illustration before – I do not see anyone or anything being able to push the pause button on how fast things are going. Rather, I see it as someone pushing the fast-forward button – things are moving so fast, so fast!”

What’s especially fascinating is mainstream media is now referring to unexpected turns in geopolitical events and changes in their anticipated timing, to which the Pastor  refers (quoting his downloadable Update; bold emphases his, underlining mine):

  • “Jerusalem Post asks why is the US speeding up its Jerusalem embassy move?
    “The State Department’s announcement …that it will essentially move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in phases, with the first stage to begin as early as May to coincide with Israel’s 70th Independence Day, is a significant shortening of the timeline. So what happened? Why now has the US decided to at least call the current consulate in Jerusalem an embassy and move Ambassador David Friedman and some of his staff to the location by mid May?”…
  • “On Thursday, Arutz Sheva published a report that the Czech President wants the move of their embassy to Jerusalem expedited...
  • “Speaking of the expediting prior to this May, I’m sure that you, like me, were quite stunned by the sudden breaking news that North Korean dictator Kim Jung Un and the U.S. President Donald Trump have agreed to meet prior to May…While the announcement was sudden, Trump…earlier had made a surprise appearance in the White House press briefing room to promise that South Korea would soon make a “major announcement”. …welcomed this …as “very positive”, implying that he believes he is on the verge of a swift and unexpected breakthrough for his so-called “maximum pressure campaign” to force Kim to accept disarmament talks…Thursday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi…called for Washington and the North “to engage in dialogue sooner rather than later.”
  • “According to Reuters…that Russia, Iran and Turkey aren’t going to wait for May, and instead, will meet next month in April. It’s rumored that Putin, Rouhani and Erdogan who “cooperate closely on Syria”, will (discuss) the situation in Syria.
  • “On Friday, Arutz Sheva published an article about how, in the era of Trump, time is no longer on the side of the Palestinians…quote Education Minister Naftali Bennett as saying President Trump has fundamentally changed the equation in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. According to the Jewish Home chief, President Trump’s historic December 2017 declaration recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and announcing plans for the relocation of the US embassy removed any incentive for the PA leadership to delay final status talks, potentially making negotiations with Israel more likely. The declaration, argued Bennett, has the potential to “allow, or accelerate peace, or enable peace …The Palestinians…over the past 50 years, had a very simple strategy. Time was on their side, so they’ll just wait. And every time they wait, they get a better deal. If you look through ’93, through 2000, in 2007 the deal just got better. So why not wait? What he’s actually done is reverse that vector, that trend, and suddenly, the Palestinians realize that time is not necessarily on their side, and maybe they should start moving.”

PLUS, the PA leader’s health is not good, yet he’s adamant in refusing to change his mind; so his death will unquestionably be a game-changing event!

Pastor stresses (emphases mine), “It’s important to note specific phrases like speeding up, significant shortening of, expedited and accelerated in these reports because they all speak to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, revving up, as the Lord’s return is fast approaching.  Actually, this is the answer to the aforementioned question of why it seems that everything is speeding up with such urgency.”

NINE YEARS AGO:

As implied in the first paragraph, this vital topic of ‘acceleration’ got flagged up early in my private correspondence nine years ago when president Barack Obama had made an unprecedented, albeit temporary, U-turn in his attitude to Israel, as told in Israel’s PM Points to New Testament – Obama Does U-turn.  In it I quoted White House accredited Christian correspondent William Koenig:

“Never before have we had so many biblically significant events evolving at such a rapid pace…it requires a major effort and assistance in an attempt to stay up with them. Only a small percentage of people in the church and a very small percentage of people in the public know of the seriousness of the times…” (emphasis mine)

Only a few months later in asking Could This Weekend Change The World? I quoted his friend and co-author John McTernan’s opinion,

“Those that are anchored in the Bible and believe the prophetic word, understand what is happening. Events seem to be accelerating towards the Day of LORD. Our hope is in the Blessed Hope, the Lord Jesus coming for His church.” (emphasis mine)

Subsequently, the momentum gathered pace as the number of Biblically-related events heads towards a deluge as we approach the fulfillment of all Bible prophecy. So we can soon expect to see Biblical and contemporary prophetic words and visions converge to fulfill Holy Writ. As J.D. Farag concludes (note numbers for next post):

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Revelation 22:7)

Brief update to Bible Update on ‘Gog-Magog’: Israel & US vs Iran & Russia

The necessity for brevity in Bible Update: Ezekiel 38-9 – Iran vs Israel – USA and Russia? meant I didn’t expand upon the parenthesis in my opening remark, ‘…news of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard’s threat to ‘open the gates of hell’ over the Zionist regime (not the first such threat)…’. Let me now explain:

Please don’t listen to critics’ claiming evangelical Christians support Israel just because they want to hasten the battle of Armageddon.  In fact the reality is this:

Shiite theology desires exactly that in order to bring about the return of their hidden 12th Imam, or Mahdi – and supposedly accompanied by the prophet Jesus!

Thus, the ultimate goal of Iran’s theocratic regime is the removal of the Jewish state of Israel, as I was stunned to see thirty years ago!

[Those who’ve read my Bio Info may recall that, whilst casually flicking through a new book I’d been given I noticed lots of references to the significance of Jerusalem, I also was watching a documentary on then raging Iraq-Iran war. Suddenly I heard a narrator on TV say what’s being shown is elite units from opposing forces rehearsing together an attack upon Jerusalem – that is, despite being at war with one another!!  Thus began my appreciation as a non-believer in the Bible’s prophetic value. The truth of this reality got confirmed in peculiar instances (‘God-incidents’) after I’d started blogging, especially around its fourth anniversary in November 2013 – see The Invisible Hand Reappears and Did My Triple Warning About Iran Affect WordPress Connections? and from 2015,  What’s Weird About Writing About Iran.]

So it comes as no surprise to see this headline in this morning’s Jerusalem Post: Israeli Defense Minister : Iran Declared War On Us Long Ago.: ‘Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Wednesday. “Iran declared war on us long ago. The highest echelons in Tehran want to erase the Zionist entity, they do not hide the fact that they want to wipe the State of Israel off the face of the earth” Liberman said at annual conference…“Iran is also fighting us through their proxies: Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and now Hamas and of course the Syrian regime.Therefore, it is a daily war not only in the military aspect but also in the realm of international terrorism and we do everything in order to preserve Israel’s security,” adding that Israel maintains absolute freedom of action and will do everything necessary to prevent Iran from consolidating themselves in Syria.

Now news has emerged in the MSM of American forces blowing up a Russian-made tank in self-defence against an attack by Syrian troops loyal to Assad and backed by Russian mercenaries, here’s a list of linked-headlines US-Russia conflict I was unable to locate for the earlier post but which are now available:

After the weekend news of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard’s threat to ‘open the gates of hell’ over the Zionist regime (not the first such threat) and all American bases, we look at the headlines from pre-MSM (mainstream media) DEBKAfile and a few from MSM in Israel as a synopsis of latest events in Israel and in Syria. Yesterday’s DEBKAfile report Iran’s Saegheh drone in Syria a worry for US as well as Israel gives penetrating insights into this conflict, as hinted in this extract:

‘The infiltrator drone was discovered to have been part of a whole fleet of advanced armed Saegheh UAVs housed at the T-4 base. The second wave of Israeli air strikes against 12 Syrian and Iranian targets decimated this fleet. Most importantly, the drone intrusion and its sequel exposed the incident to have been no one-off,  but part of a calculated Iranian plot against Israel at the highest level, that was coordinated in advance with the Russian air force, which shares the use of T-4, and the Syrian air defense systems, which operate under Russian command. It is equally important to note that Iran brought its Saegheh UAV’s to Syria with Moscow’s consent.
This may be accounted for by the drone’s unique provenance.

‘In a long and arduous process of reverse engineering, Iran’s munitions industry copied some of the components of the CIA’s most secret stealth drone, the RQ-170 Sentinel, after it was intercepted and captured over Iran in December 2011. The American drone, armed and capable of detecting clandestine nuclear tests, is rated the finest UAV of its kind in operation. Tehran claimed it had intercepted the Sentinel’s overflight by taking control of the American surveillance satellite communications which navigated the drone’s course. This was vehemently denied by Washington. At the time, DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources revealed that the those responsible for the feat of bringing the secret American drone down intact were not Iranian but Chinese cyber experts.

So what happened? According to Israeli authorities an Iranian drone flew into Israeli airspace yesterday. Israel responded with some F-16’s taking out the drone. (By the way, military drones are not the little 4- or 6-propellar toys we see flying around in the local news—they are unmanned aircraft which can be as large as manned fighters themselves.)
