Dimensions 1 – Heavenly Coordinates

Now and again along our journey we’ve mulled over the meaning of time and the likelihood of scripture and science meeting over the horizon. Here, Franco Guerri brings a clear, concise introduction to dimensions and relates them to the Bible. In particular, his insight on the Cross and infinity is most noteworthy (see reply to Tim Shey). “In physics and mathematics, the dimension of a space or object is informally defined as the minimum number of coordinates needed to specify any point within it.”¹   It seems clear then, that God being infinite and eternal, or beyond time, would necessitate infinite “coordinates” to be defined.   By definition, in-finite, cannot be defined.   Hence He exists in infinite, un-limited dimensions.   Can we not say that the entire Bible is a document from beyond time and space attempting to give sufficient “coordinates” in order to reveal God Himself to a people trapped in only a few dimensions?

If our senses were limited to perceiving only a two-dimensional reality having only width and height, what would we understand of the three-dimensional world we coexist with?   Would a square express anything of what a cube is? When a sphere came through…

British court suppresses freedom to speak freely from the Bible

‘For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart; and there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.’ (Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV)

After noticing Tim Stanley’s remarks echo prophetical words on ‘changing winds’ I soon recalled the suppression of the right to preach in public from the Bible in Britain, contrary to PM May’s asserting people must be able to speak about their faith.

Moreover, this means all violent intimidation against speaking the truth in love is not only subject to police harassment but is also condoned in courts!!!

Small wonder I had that vision 10 feet in front of me of the rottenness of our society, but of its salvation through believers standing on The Rock that is Christ Jesus!

The full text of Mrs May’s short speech published by the Prime Minister’s Office may be read at Shrove Tuesday 2017 Reception: Prime Minister’s Speech. I particularly note her saying (in this unexpurgated extract, emphases mine):

“…I also believe it is right that we should celebrate the role of Christianity in our country. We have a very strong tradition in this country of religious tolerance and freedom of speech, and our Christian heritage is something we can all be proud of. We must continue to ensure that people feel able to speak about their faith, and that absolutely includes their faith in Christ.

“I also believe that Christianity has an important role to play in making Britain a country that works for everyone.

“Now, the Church will not always agree with everything that the government says – and the government will not always agree with the Church. But I think there are many areas where we can work together.

“One is in addressing the persecution of Christians and religious minorities around the world which has been mentioned to me by some at the reception here today. It is hard to comprehend that today people are still being attacked and murdered because of their Christianity. We must reaffirm our determination to stand up for the freedom of people of all religions to practice their beliefs in peace and safety. And I hope to take further measures as a government to support this.”

Mrs May, please ensure all biased constabulary, judiciary and parliamentarians will fully understand and promise to comply. I trust and pray that by “practice their beliefs in peace and safety” you actually mean and will apply that first for Christians IN BRITAIN – not just for other faiths (as with Islamic hate-preachers having been free to stir up terrorist attacks for years) or anywhere we don’t have authority and legal jurisdiction.

That is, it seems Christians should be protected by the law in our once Christian nation!

bristol-magistrates-courtsThe following from Avon & Somerset Constabulary conveys a possibly unwelcome attitude, as may be inferred from the preachers’ video, possibly used to record situations in event of false accusations, having been used against them by the prosecution. (Search to read in full, with Chief Inspector’s extra remarks):

‘Two street preachers who used offensive language during an event in Bristol city centre have been convicted of a religiously aggravated public order offence. The men were arrested in Broadmead on Wednesday July 6 2016 following complaints from members of the public. 

‘As a result of the police investigation, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised the men to be charged with a religiously aggravated public order offence, which falls under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.’  

In addition to Tim Stanley’s report, I read blogger Archbishop Cranmer’s As Theresa May Preaches Freedom to Proclaim Christ, Street Preachers Are Convicted of a Public Order Offence.

After hearing the prosecutor’s claim that quoting parts of the King James Bible in modern Britain should be considered “abusive” and “a criminal matter”, the solicitor representing the preachers described the hearing as,

“A modern-day heresy trial, dressed up under the Public Order Act”.

Watch the preacher’s video of the supposed ‘public disturbance’, police action and talks. Naturally, there’s scope for fuller assessment and we shouldn’t consider the preachers’ actions to have been perfect or entirely beyond reproach.

Preacher Michael Stockwell had a not surprisingly upset reaction to the totalitarian nature of the court and a perspicacious assessment of its deeper implications:

“I am shocked that God’s message of love, is now considered hateful and dangerous. Today, speaking God’s truth seems to be a hate crime, according to some.

“There is a very disturbing pattern here. We declare Jesus’ message and critique rival beliefs such as Islam. Some people don’t like what we say, and threaten violence to silence us. Then, instead of defending free speech and protecting us, the police shut down free speech to avoid public disorder. And then a court convicts us of provoking disorder and risking violence!

“Something has gone badly wrong. This gives a green light to Islamists and other groups to silence speech that they don’t like, simply by threatening disorder or violence.”

Andrea%20360“The Bible and its teachings are the foundation of our society and provided many of the freedoms and protections that we still enjoy today. So it is extraordinary that the prosecution, speaking on behalf of the state, could say that the Bible contains abusive words which, when spoken in public, constitute a criminal offence.

“Today’s ruling, in effect, states that Bible is offensive and contains illegal speech which should not be shared in public. This is a very serious state of affairs and Mike and Michael are absolutely right to appeal the decision.

“‘Offence’ is a very subjective thing and is easily manipulated to shut down viewpoints that people simply don’t like. Any suggestion that there is a right not to be offended must be strongly resisted. In today’s democracy, we need the freedom to debate, challenge and disagree.

“Mike and Michael were saying nothing that wouldn’t be heard at speakers’ corner in Hyde Park – presenting the claims of the Bible, answering the crowd’s questions and objections, and responding to abuse which was hurled at them. For a court to rule that this breaks the law is extraordinary.

“Please help us as we support Mike and Michael in appealing this dangerous ruling.”

Prayer-time

Perhaps its time to intercede for all who falsely judge to have a personal revelation of their day in the Highest Court where they must give an account, and realise that if they denied Jesus Christ, then He will deny them before the heavenly host.!

Lord, I ask that you apply your mercy and grace to all prosecuting persons and judges in that abomination, that they receive the same revelation of judgement in Your Holy Court as convicted me of my sinfulness, and penalty of dropping through the trap-door to Hell, upon having unexpectedly encountered your Son, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

NOW I SAW THAT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE WAITING, PRESSING AND PURSUING HIS PRESENCE WILL RECEIVE ACCESS TO THIS PLACE OF SECRET AND DIVINE MYSTERIES, ONLY THE WILLING AND THE FUL…LY SURRENDERED WILL HAVE THEIR EYES, MINDS AND HEARTS FULLY ENLIGHTENED AND ILLUMINATED TO THIS NEW LEVEL OF HIDDEN TREASURES THAT HAVE BEEN CONCEALED AND PROTECTED UNTIL NOW, FOR THERE IS A NEW KINGDOM AGE BEING BIRTHED UPON THE EARTH.

NOW AS I DREW CLOSER IN THIS ENCOUNTER I NOTICED THAT DEEPLY ENGRAVED UPON THE GOLDEN DOOR WERE THE NUMBERS (222), AS I PRESSED IN A LITTLE CLOSER SUDDENLY I HEARD THESE WORDS, “FEAR NOT, COME, DRAW NEARER TAKE THE KEYS AND ENTER IN FOR THIS IS THE DOORWAY OF DIVINE DESTINY”, SO I STEPPED A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE GOLDEN DOOR AND AS I APPROACHED THE DOORWAY THE ANGEL OF THE LORD HELD OUT TO ME THE KEYS THAT WERE IN HIS HAND, AS I TOOK HOLD OF THE KEYS SUDDENLY IT WAS QUICKENED TO BY THE WAY OF THE SPIRIT, (Daniel 2:22, which says, “He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he is surrounded by light”).

Then suddenly the Encounter ended..!

FRIENDS THERE IS A INVITATION BEING RELEASED TO THE BODY OF CHRIST TO DRAW CLOSER, TO COME NEARER, TO PRESS IN DEEPER AND TO TAKE HOLD OF THE KEYS THAT ARE BEING MADE AVAILABLE TO US IN THIS HOUR THAT WE MAY BOLDLY ENTER IN THROUGH THE DOORWAY OF DIVINE DESTINY WHERE WE CAN ACCESS A GREATER MEASURE AND A DEEPER DIMENSION OF HEAVENLY REVELATION FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.

Dave Chapman on Nationhood

An instance of serendipity (or ‘God-incidence’) in this guest post by Dave Chapman being written whilst I wrote about the 2012 prophetic word on restoring nations’ identities.:

NATIONHOOD

It seems to me that too many Christians are afraid of standing up for our – or theirs, as the case maybe – Country. “We don’t like to get involved with politics”, we may hear, or “we are citizens of heaven, so therefore do not engage on that level”, for instance.

However, whilst ‘being political’ has to do with government and its desired nature, owning Nationhood I believe, is something quite different.  Getting involved with which ‘party’ runs, rules, or governs our own Nation does involve being ‘political’, or having a ‘preferred party’ bias.  But being involved with defending our own Government from other Governments, so that we make our independent and individual choices, is not ‘political’ in the true meaning of the word.  That is purely standing up for our own Nation – which is also quite different from ‘Nationalism’.

Yet, there is a fine line between standing up for our ‘Nation’, and ‘Nationalism’.  Here for instance, are the online dictionary definitions to help :-

Nationhood, is described as:-

“the fact or status of being a nation;  national identity, culture or economic life”. (Oxford dictionary, online)

“the state of being an independent nation”.  (Websters Dictionary, online)

“Nationhood is the state of being a nation, or a large group of people united by common language, culture or economic life”. (Your Dictionary, online)

“the state or quality of having status as a separate and independent nation“: (Dictionary.com)

Whereas ‘Nationalism’ is described as:-

“loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially :  a sense of national consciousness (see consciousness 1c) exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups” (Merriam-Websters Dict, online)

“ideology based on the premise that the individual’s loyalty and devotion to the nation-state surpass other individual or group interests”. (Britannica Encyclopedia, online).

So we can see from these definitions that being a Nation, or having Nationhood, is a fact of life.  It is a state of being as a people, and operating as an independent ‘mass’ of people from other nations, whereas Nationalism is an ideology proceeding from a form of childish pride that “our nation is better than yours“!, and so displaying a superior attitude – with a desire to impose that culture and values on other Nations or peoples.

We can see that this latter approach is the root of an ‘Empire spirit’, which has manifested itself throughout the centuries over and over again.  Examples of this are Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Roman, and of late the extremes of pre-War Germany, also Russia, and by the way, Britain, with its one time global Empire upon which there was no setting sun!, and finally since then, America, with its incursions into other Countries with a view to establishing democratic ideology.

Isaiah 45, king Cyrus and Donald Trump : plus Obama’s P45!

Thank you to Mark Maddock for this contribution and I add some thoughts by Bill Koenig. Many readers are now, I expect, familiar with this scripture, but Mark includes a very good item on Comet P45 – itself a very appropriate reference because UK firms issue Form P45 (pay and tax data) to employees upon cessation of work!

LOL – the heavens have issued Barack Obama and staff with their P45!

Context Isaiah 44; all about Israel; v.23: ‘God’s glory is on display in Israel.

Isaiah 45 – The God Who Forms Light and Darkness & His message to Cyrus, a pagan world leader.

24 God, your Redeemer,
who shaped your life in your mother’s womb, says:
“I am God. I made all that is.
With no help from you I spread out the skies
and laid out the earth.”

25-28 He makes the magicians look ridiculous
and turns fortunetellers into jokes.
He makes the experts look trivial
and their latest knowledge look silly.
But he backs the word of his servant
and confirms the counsel of his messengers.
He says to Jerusalem, “Be inhabited,”
and to the cities of Judah, “Be rebuilt,”
and to the ruins, “I raise you up.”
He says to Ocean, “Dry up.
I’m drying up your rivers.”
He says to Cyrus, “My shepherd—
everything I want, you’ll do it.”
He says to Jerusalem, “Be built,”
and to the Temple, “Be established.”

45 1-7 God’s Message to his anointed,
to Cyrus, whom he took by the hand
To give the task of taming the nations,
of terrifying their kings—
He gave him free rein,
no restrictions:
“I’ll go ahead of you,
clearing and paving the road.
I’ll break down bronze city gates,
smash padlocks, kick down barred entrances.
I’ll lead you to buried treasures,
secret caches of valuables—
Confirmations that it is, in fact, I, God,
the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.
It’s because of my dear servant Jacob,
Israel my chosen,
That I’ve singled you out, called you by name,
and given you this privileged work.
And you don’t even know me!
I am God, the only God there is.
Besides me there are no real gods.
I’m the one who armed you for this work,
though you don’t even know me,
So that everyone, from east to west, will know
that I have no god-rivals.

I form light and create darkness,
I make harmonies and create discords.
I, God, do all these things.

8-10 “Open up, heavens, and rain.
Clouds, pour out buckets of my goodness!

you’re a pot at odds with the potter!

11-13 Thus God, The Holy of Israel, Israel’s Maker, says:
“Do you question who or what I’m making?
Are you telling me what I can or cannot do?
I made earth,
and I created man and woman to live on it.
I handcrafted the skies
and direct all the constellations in their turnings.
And now I’ve got Cyrus on the move.
I’ve rolled out the red carpet before him.
He will build my city.
He will bring home my exiles.
I didn’t hire him to do this. I told him.
I, God-of-the-Angel-Armies.”

 14 God says:

“The workers of Egypt, the merchants of Ethiopia,
and those statuesque Sabeans (= your enemies)
Will all come over to you—all yours.
Docile in chains, they’ll follow you,
Hands folded in reverence, praying before you:
‘Amazing! God is with you!
There is no other God—none.’”

… All who have raged against him
will be brought before him,
disgraced by their unbelief.
And all who are connected with Israel
will have a robust, praising, good life in God!

DOES THIS RELATE TO DONALD TRUMP IN 2017-2021?  Possibly!

Are we at similar time in world history?  Yes, definitely!

Ie. There is a set length of time from Cyrus’ proclamation up to 1948 (Israel set up as a nation again); then 1967 (Jerusalem taken as the capital city of the nation) and then up to the next key date: 2018 (which is during Trump’s presidency in America).

2018 – the next key event? We’ve had the nation set up; the capital city re-taken… now it is something connected with Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem.

If Trump is to act like a modern day Cyrus, then pray He will keep in step with God’s timetable and plans for Israel; in particular, what God wants to happen concerning ownership of and what is built on Temple Mount in the next 2 to 10 years.

‘As you look at the title of this blog, you are wondering what the ‘P45 Comet’ means. NASA has just announced this comet will appear on New Year’s Eve. I believe this comet (which will be passing by our moon) is a physical sign by God of a spiritual turnaround. Sometimes when God gives us a sign like this it is very simple. All we have to do is believe to see the sign.

God has told me that on January 20, 2017, there will be a birth of something new in the earth ~ a “New Renaissance”. He gave me this word on April 20, 2016 and said this renaissance will start exactly nine months to the date. This of course was before the presidential election, and all of the things that have since happened concerning our country and this election.

Then God spoke to me that there would be a comet in the sky that would be a sign to the earth. Our next president will be the 45th president of the United States, and the Lord said to me, “To confirm that He is the right choice, Isaiah 45 speaks about the prophecy concerning Cyrus His anointed” (emphasis added). And now suddenly, before New Year’s Eve, we see that NASA has named the comet P “45”.

It seems that God is sending a message to the earth, and we all are privileged that He has given us advance knowledge that something mighty is about ready to happen ~ and that it is going to be a blessing to everyone of us!’

The comet with be even brighter around Feb 11th 2017.

A PROPHECY FROM LANCE WALLNAU (USA)

‘I sent this prophetic prayer to Donald J. Trump via his partner and attorney Michael Cohen. It’s quite a great crowd of believers  in Carolina – a key State – who are part of this army rising up for America. Perhaps half this room was for Dr. Carson or other candidates. When I was done the majority was with me for reasons I share here.

I think this prophetic prayer timely, as at this time, Iowa polls are showing a slipping of support for Mr. Trump among Evangelicals who prefer Dr. Carson to Mr. Trump 33% to 18%. I think it’s time evangelicals had a conversation about the criteria for office we are looking for. We want the most evangelical choice. But what we should ask is “who has God anointed?”

Here’s what happened. I shared with this crowd an unusual experience I had the other night. I realized that the next President of the United States will be the 45th President. I got the urge to open up a new Bible that was sent to me as a gift. A Bible put together by Rabbis to give the full Hebrew expression of the New Testament to Christians. I sensed the Lord tell me to look at the 45th Chapter of Isaiah to see who the 45th President of the United States should be.

Isaiah 45:1 says…
“This is what the LORD says TO HIS ANOINTED, CYRUS, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him, as I strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him and gates that cannot keep closed.”

Cyrus his anointed? But Cyrus was not even a Jew. He was a foreigner. An outsider. But God raises up secular Kings and Rulers for the sake of His people. This was Churchill and Lincoln and even Reagan. God wants to keep the gates of heaven open over certain nations – hence Cyrus will see “gates that cannot keep closed.” The gates of Hell have plundered a lot of ground in America this past seven years. It’s time that the gates of Hell were plundered and things were restored in certain places. Heaven’s gates will open and Hell’s gates will not be able to stay locked.

Angels get involved with warfare to see the right person (even unbelievers) get into office. Gabriel told this to Daniel in Daniel 11:1 “In the first year of Darius the Mede, I arose to be an encouragement and a protection for him.” Darius and Cyrus were both rulers put into office by God for the sake of His people!

I told them my experience and asked them to consider standing behind Mr. Trump as he continues to step into the role of a rough reformer like Luther to take on the Political and establishment high places. He needs to continue his work as a divine wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness that has been like a witchcraft muzzling and intimidating the Christian community.

Mr. Trump is not as evangelical as the other candidates, but I’ve been with him twice. He fears God as best he knows Him and he is the only Cyrus I see fulfilling Isaiah 45 for the 45th President.

There will be great warfare over this election and over this man in particular. A full tilt $100 million media campaign is about to be unleashed to slander him. I want to see the #Trumptrain on track with God’s plan.

Isaiah 45 speaks of King Cyrus, an anointed deliver God used to bring the Jewish people back to the land of Israel and Jerusalem.

Trump has committed to moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. His selection of David Friedman to be his ambassador to Israel, has raised millions of dollars for Beth El, Yeshivas and settlement in Samaria. Friedman firmly stands for Israel’s right to Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem. Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, an Orthodox Jew, Trump’s family and Trump himself have given money to the settlement communities in Samaria.

Hands Holding World by TwobeeIn the previous post I claimed the ‘4th jigsaw piece’ of applying the ‘revisionist’ prophetic word on scripture harmonises not only with its foundational verses of Genesis 1:3 and John 1 but also with the scientific understanding of time and space!

I suggested readers may like to check that out for themselves in Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of New Testament Greek words, and note different meanings, for ‘world’ – especially in Hebrews 1:2. In this post I’ll reveal my surprising discoveries…

What do you understand by ‘World’. Isn’t it usually synonymous with ‘globe’ or ‘the earth’?

My life-long interest in astronomy and science makes me think also of the solar system planetary and hypothetical interstellar worlds. Other valid concepts can be one’s personal ‘world’ of thoughts, emotions and activities; or of social, cultural interests eg. the world of fashion.

Previously, I told what happened after mulling over Jesus Christ’s role in Creation and commenting upon my re-blog of a physicist’s article about dark matter and energy. I was prompted to reach for my spade and start digging into the New King James’ and New International versions of verse 3 in the Book of Hebrews’ opening chapter. What I didn’t tell was the stunning gem shining from the central column of my Study Bible right at the start of that chapter.

That prize find opened up a whole new world!

Courtesy of Thomas Nelson Bibles the NKJV Hebrews 1:1-2 subhead and text reads:

God’s Supreme Revelation

1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

My Study Bible has two notes for this: ‘at various times’, ‘or in many portions; ‘worlds’ or ages; Grk aiones, aeons’. The second also applies to ‘worlds’ in Hebrews 11:3, viz: 

3 By faith we understand the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made from things which are visible.

The note against ‘framed’ reads: ‘Grk ‘katartizo’ to arrange, set in order, adjust, complete what is lacking, make fully ready, repair, prepare’.

Clearly, any reader would easily understand that the Almighty made the planets and starry worlds – but ‘aeon’ isn’t the same. It means ‘Time’.  SO just what did it mean to Jesus’ first disciples, those who’d personally witnessed and recorded revelations from and about the One who existed in God before time began?  (The creative declaration of His personal power in creating the universe is considered in this post.)

NOW, the Oxford English Dictionary has two definitions for ‘Aeon’ (US. Eon), viz: ‘a very long period of time’ and ‘a major division of time in geology, subdivided into eras’.

Before we dig into that, here’s the Greek Interlinear Bible’s Hebrew 1:2

Copied from the Textus Receptus, it literally reads: ‘On last-ones of-the days these talks (speaks) to-us in son whom He-places (he appoints) tenant (enjoyer of the allotment) of-all through whom and (also) the eons He-makes.’

Strongs’ has the following for ‘worlds’ as it appears throughout the New Testament, as listed numerically according to the Greek alphabet, parts of which I’ve emphasised:

  • 165 – ‘aeon’ from same root 104 ‘aei’ [duration, ‘ever’…regularly…always]: property of an age..perpetuity. By impl the world; spec (Jewish) a Messianic period – age, course, eternal, (for) ever (~more), (beginning of the) world (began, without end) cf 5550 ‘kronos’  – a space of time, thus distinguished from ‘kairos’, an occasion, set or proper time, season, time.
  • 2889 – ‘kosmos’: orderly arrangement, by implication the world in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants lit or fig.
  • 3625 – ‘oikoumene’: land (the terrene part of the globe); spec Roman empire – earth world.
  • 1093 – ghay: a region or solid part of the whole terrene globe (incl occupants), country, land, world.

Thus, the original documents of the New Testament display a clear difference of definition between periods of time and areas of the earth – going even beyond ‘time and space’ to an organised ‘system’, which implies inherent intelligence, either of internal or external nature and of divine rather than human design.

We know from history that the ancient Greek philosophers had made definite distinctions between material and immaterial aspects of our existence – space and time! And it is not so surprisingly made by writers of the NT – YET Christendom may have missed much in translating the Word of God!

Now you need to know, in blogging a month ago On Pivotal Prophecies Now Coming Into Play, of which one was my Exploding Bible of 2011, I’d checked the literal NT text of the wheat and tares parable in Matthew 13 and was amazed at one word in verse 38 (Jesus’ explanation “The field is the world…”), which reads:

matthew-13_38-39-in-greek‘World’ appears twice in English, but the ORIGINAL HAS TWO DIFFERENT WORDS! These are ‘kosmos’ and ‘aionos’ – huh!!  The literal rendition of vv 38 and 39 reads:

‘The yet field is the SYSTEM (world) the yet ideal seed these are the sons of-the kingdom the yet bearded-darnels are the sons of the wicked-one the yet enemy the-one sowing them is the thru-caster (adversary) the yet harvest together-finish of the eon is the yet reapers messengers are.’

There’s a clear allusion to the future and processes/action (‘yet’) and a deliberate, strong use by the Lord Jesus Himself of a distinction between time and space. Surely He must have known what He was talking about, especially in view of His role in Creation! (See next post’s PS.)

Also, check the occurrences of ‘time’ (aeon), ‘space’ (oikoumene) and ‘system’ (kosmos) in the NT and you’ll find only a few refer to actual land or space, whereas the majority refer to ‘system’, with ‘time’ as second most frequent. In the OT there are far fewer uses of the variants of Hebrew ‘world’, practically all of which mean the physical land and half a dozen refer to portions or perpetuity of time.

Conclusion

In our appreciation of holy scripture we should seriously consider the possibility of Jesus having given his disciples deep insights into the nature of the realms of time and matter, especially in view of their acknowledging His Lordship over and role in Creation.

Thy Kingdom Come, On Earth As In Heaven (RB caption)

Another part of the Lord’s Invisible Jigsaw turned up over the New Year! Readers who are unfamiliar with this blog’s oft-used concept may wish to check that link’s content.

I’m sharing those totally unexpected jigsaw pieces and their insights upon the person of Jesus Christ in the hope of provoking reflection upon the untold depths of scripture.

In contemplating a particular verse I later unintentionally used a different version to the one in mind. But upon checking the original text it then opened up a revelation upon Jesus’ role in Creation that expands our usual understanding – even surprising me in its relevance to my quest for a meeting place between scripture and theories and experiments in quantum mechanics and relativity, especially for space-time!

1st JIGSAW PIECE – HEBREWS 1:2-3

The last Wednesday of 2016, a fortnight ago, I blogged this covering intro to a re-blog from Rationalising the Universe (note my quoted scripture):

‘And there’s me, before getting up this morning, mulling over God’s use of basic science and maths in creating the universe. That’s not, of course, explicit in Genesis but implicit by nature in the opening verses. Moreover, there’s the original text’s alphabetical coding (maybe hinting at quantum coding?). So I searched the New Testament for Jesus Christ’s part in this ‘mystery’: ‘through whom also He (God) made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…’ (Hebrews 1:2-3 NKJV) So is today’s excellent overview by Mekhi merely coincidental in hinting at my query’s solution? My own readers know me only too well on that score…’

I never thought of the popular song He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands, for my mind was on a specific scripture – Hebrews 1:3 from the New International Version (NIV):

‘The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of all his being, SUSTAINING ALL THINGS BY HIS POWERFUL WORD…’

So, what had happened was that after my contemplation I continued catching up online after the Christmas-New Year break. An email alert arrived for a new blog by theoretical physicist Mekhi entitled The Dark Side and her eye-catching image immediately plugged into my earlier musing…

Mekhi recounts astrophysicist Fritz Zwicky’s hypothesis and astronomer Vera Rubi’s observational confirmation of the effects of invisible material and energy throughout the known universe. Her article makes this unusual topic easily intelligible to non-scientists.

In my haste to re-blog I grabbed Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance to find that passage’s location and used my New King James Version’s (NKJV) study bible to copy its text (ie. not NIV’s) into my covering note.

ONLY LATER, upon looking at  a hardcopy of the re-blog did it dawn upon me that what I’d put was not what I’d intended – DOH!!  But why are they different?

The NIV refers to Jesus upholding all the universe, all its seen and unseen contents and energies – and us – ‘by His powerful word’, but the NKJV says it’s ‘by the word of His power’. Seems to mean the same thing – but do they? Are they one and the same thing?

Time to check the original Greek – only to find its literal translation is very different! See how this copy from Scripture 4 All online Greek Interlinear Bible analyses and renders verses 2 and 3:

Here’s the literal reading of verse 3 from the Received Text (phrase in question in bold).: ‘Who being from-radiance (effulgence) of-the esteem (glory) and carving of-the under-standing (assumption) of-him carrying (carrying-on) besides the all to-the declaration of-the ability (power) of-him thru self (through himself) cleansing making of the misses (sins) of-us is seated in right (right-hand) of-the great-togetherness (majesty) in highs (heights).’

Therefore, it seems that in putting into ordinary, dynamic English translators modified the true meaning from: as well as (besides) being a physically carved mirror-image of God (Theos), the Son (huio) is carrying everything (the all) by the spoken statement of HIS ability…ie. by virtue of Jesus’ own personal power as the glorious presence of God.

In other words, it explains who Jesus is and what he can and does do by audible verbal declaration of the holy ability He has, just because of who He is. And so to my covering note for the re-blog I added, ‘NB: NKJV’s correct translation of Greek ‘declaration of the ability of-him’ gives better and different rendition to NIV’s ‘by His powerful word’!!’

2nd JIGSAW PIECE – ‘REVISIONIST’ PROPHETIC WORD

The following weekend, on the first day of this new year, pastor John Kilpatrick revealed what the Lord had told him about 2017 en-route to church:

“This is going to be a year of revision!” What He meant by that was, the story that’s already been written is going to be revised. What’s already determined is going to be revised – everything’s going to be rewritten. You can’t go by the old ‘cue cards’, the Holy Ghost is going to be spontaneous in giving you new cue cards.”

I shared my reflections upon that word in this post and blogging only the previous week I’d had a personal example of that ‘revisionist’ word and hinted at more to tell more another time, as I’m doing now.

3rd JIGSAW PIECE – PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Another thing about the Greek hit me! It is the emphasis upon ‘declaration’ because this relates it to the full meaning and practicable usage of speaking scripture and decisions aloud during prophetic prayers and intercession. The biblical basis for this practice is briefly outlined in An Introduction to Prophecy, but full details from Dr Sharon Stone’s teaching upon decrees and declarations appears in my Mentoring Day Part 2 and is based upon the highly instructive account of Queen Esther’s request of her husband in his court in ancient Persia.

Furthermore, and as world be expected, the Greek connects directly into Jesus’ role in Creation as stated in the first chapter of the Gospel according to John, ‘

‘In the beginning was the Word,  and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made by and through him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and that life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it…

‘That was the true light, which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world and the world was made through him, and the world did not know Him…

‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth… 

‘No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.’ (1:18 emphasis added)

That reiterates and gloriously magnifies the opening verses in Genesis of God having actually spoken aloud to perform the act of universal creation,

‘Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness….’ 

Does that not give us a hint about dark energy being part of Creation? I think it may.

4th JIGSAW PIECE – SCIENTIFIC ASPECT OF ‘WORLDS’ (verse 2)

This ‘revisionist’ approach to holy writ harmonises with those foundational verses AND with our scientific understanding of time and space!  Read all about this in the next post.

OR, fulfill that ‘revisionist’ prophecy by rewriting scripture, as normally known!  Check it out yourself by dipping into Strong’s Concordance and examine the couple or so Greek words, and their meanings, used for ‘world’ in the New Testament and in Hebrews 1:2 specifically.

5th JIGSAW PIECE – A SCIENTIST’S FAITH

2017 “a year of revision” – hear about Holy Spirit falling in the US Congress

JohnK 214_logoA rather unusual, perhaps puzzling, word of prophecy was heard on New Year’s Day. The afternoon of last Sunday 1st January 2017 we joined live streaming for the day’s service at Church of His Presence. Pastor John Kilpatrick joined the worship after 27 minutes saying he’d hoped to have received a word for this year from the Lord on New Years’ Eve, but:

“I was a little discouraged. I was thinking the Lord was going to speak to me on the 31st but He didn’t  – all I got was fireworks!

“But this morning on the way to church I heard the Lord say, “This is going to be a year of revision!”

“What He meant by that was, the story that’s already been written is going to be revised. What’s already determined is going to be revised – everything’s going to be rewritten. You can’t go by the old ‘cue cards’, the Holy Ghost is going to be spontaneous in giving you new cue cards.”

John immediately went on to deliver a word of knowledge for someone about something in their life unexpectedly turning around so fast (that may have been for us in view of what happened this week to delay my posting this on Thursday). BUT my mind was engaged upon his preceding claim. Initially, I wondered if it may be inaccurate because the Holy Word of God is sacrosanct and that our Living God doesn’t abrogate His Word (unlike Mohammed’s god) but watches over it to see that it’s performed and doesn’t return to him void. Personal Reflection

Yet in my spirit I quickly gained an insight and sensed its fuller meaning.  After all, this is how prophetical material is to be weighed and tested by those who moving in the gift of prophecy (1 Cor 14:29-32).

However, this minister ordained in the Assemblies of God is thoroughly grounded in and always preaches from the Bible. Moreover, he was blessed by hosting two mighty revivals in the last 20 years – at Brownsville, Florida and Bay of the Holy Spirit, Alabama. AND remember that of the 20 words he brought the previous year for 2016 a most specific one that “nations shall be shaken, but kingdoms shall be jolted” was fulfilled by the ‘Brexit’ vote and Prime Minister’s resignation, and US election resulting in President-elect Trump!!

Furthermore, I recalled Abraham’s discussion with the Lord about his planned destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and that He’s amenable to modifying his action plan depending upon changing circumstances (Gen 18:23-33). Moses had an even stronger tussle with Him and made a good case acceptable to Him for being long-suffering and patient with His people (Num 14:11-24).

Also, John’s interpretation implies not wholesale revision of the Bible but is indicative of a deep change in our understanding of His Word. For example, we don’t have a full grasp of unfulfilled biblical prophecies because there needs to be sufficient flexibility that enables God to mould events and change people in order that they’ll meet His ordained purposes – especially when taking into account the End-time’s increasing anointing in His Bride and the imminent harvest of souls.

It seems to me the Lord’s saying not to be inflexible in understanding and using scripture but forego our intellect’s memo/cue cards and rely much more on the gift of prophecy and revelatory insight under Holy Spirit’s instruction and leading. In particular, we need to get deeper into the meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek text with the help of Strong’s exhaustive concordance.

In fact, only the previous week I’d had a personal example of that ‘revisionist’ word as a result of an insight gained from revisiting my covering note to the post on dark matter! But more of that another time…

Guest Speaker

dustinhedrickThis ‘revision’ approach was demonstrated later in Sunday’s service by John’s guest preacher Dustin Hedrick. He based his message upon the tool he’d been given for connecting with and bringing the Kingdom into our mundane activities; ie. on earth as in heaven!  In ably teaching through 2 Peter 1, Dustin used the deeper insights Strong’s gives.

After giving examples of how that can be applied to bring miraculous encounters in Kenya, Dustin explains (from the 2:00:30 mark) how he came to be involved on Capitol Hill and what happened in bringing a move of Holy Spirit at a prayer breakfast for Congress, as briefly reported in Encouraging Revival New from Capitol Hill, Washington DC.

Dustin “preached his socks off” and was so deeply affected by what happened during this service, the next day in a short Facebook video recorded in a strong wind outside CHP he reports,

“Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever ministered under that weight of the presence of God – and whatever that was was a game-changer, a level changer, and I’m different inside!

“And I want to tell you God is doing something here and He’s moving again on this planet, not just here but around the world…”

He writes, “We saw what happens with Kingdom in-breaking and I got to minister under the heavy Presence of GOD again. What I wouldn’t do to see my kids get the opportunity to grow up under revival. Thank you to Church of His Presence for making space for GOD to come and entertaining Heaven in your midst”.

Yesterday on Fb video Dustin reflects on Sunday and how God has pressed the ‘reset button’.

Conclusion

Therefore, in my humble opinion we can expect increasing changes internationally as the Lord revises what He’s planning and doing, which will improve our understanding of the Bible.

#2 – ‘EXPLODING BIBLE’ promise to be fulfilled next year?

wheat-and-taresMuch more mightily than the metaphorical ‘lightbulb’ going off was the explosion of ‘light’ in my mind upon opening my Bible!

Only occasionally have I blogged about how that startling event thrust me into writing regularly on End-time events. On the 7th Anniversary of Watching  last February I wrote about what had been happening back in 2009 and noted current coincidental indicators of 2016.

So to continue from previous post #0, I emailed a few friends, some of whom were in church leadership, under the header ‘The Endgame is Now in Play’ and told about the extraordinary kick-start to my mission:

‘Last year, I encountered two conflicting claims about Jesus’ explanation of the parable on the end-time harvest of wheat and tares (Matt13:36). So I went to check scripture but upon opening my Bible a deep excitement exploded within as I heard, “This is ALL about to be fulfilled” – WOW!!

‘Hence, my previous remarks about a sifting of the Church – in preparation for a rapid ‘sHifting’? Jesus urged His disciples to look out for and observe signs of the times. Regarding their questions about His return at the end of this Age, the earliest Gospel account has Jesus stressing 7 times, “Watch…be alert…on your guard“ (Mark 13). Matthew 24 reports Jesus saying 4 times, “Watch…and when you see…” followed by the parables of the burglar and of the virgins:> “Don’t be caught napping!” [Is the Church still asleep?] Luke’s account has, “Be always on the watch…” (ch21:36) and chpt 12 (NIV) has sections on watchfulness and interpreting the times. In each Gospel Jesus commands, “Learn the lesson of the fig tree…”. Also, the Apostles went on to give more indicators (Acts 3:20-1, Hebrews 12:26-7, 2 Peter 3, 2 Timothy 3 and the first and second letters to the Thessalonians).’

“This is ALL about to be fulfilled!”

Therefore, I’ve been watching and blogging about biblical prophecies that have been or may soon be met as current events unfold, as well as reading and logging contemporary prophetic words and noting which ones are being fulfilled.

However, what about that specific parable itself? Could it, or any of it, soon be fulfilled?

It was one of several Jesus told a crowd listening to him teaching from a moored boat – AND when his close disciples asked him why He teaches the people in parables Jesus stressed their especial importance to them personally, saying:

“It has been given to you to know the Mysteries of the kingdom of heaven but to them it has not been given” [Matthew 13:11 NKJV. Holy Spirit-Filled Study Bible  note ‘mystery’ = secret or hidden truths.]

Let’s look at this specific parable of the wheat and the tares, or darnel, which isn’t just any weed but grows looking like wheat until flowering, when the difference is obvious. Jesus said:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.

“So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not grow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this’. The servants replied, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

“But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to urn them, but gather the wheat into my barn’.” [Matt 13:24-30 NKJV]

When alone with Him, His disciples asked Jesus to explain the kingdom reality of that story and He told them the sower is Himself (‘the Son of Man’) and “The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom” and the ‘enemy’ is the devil. The tares are ‘sons of the wicked one’ and ‘the reapers’ are angels.

“Therefore, as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out his angels and they will gather out of the kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and cast them into the furnace of fire, where there will be wailing and gnashing  of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear let him hear!” [Matt 13:37-43 NKJV -emphases added]

Many theologians and prophecy students have speculated upon possible future dates for all the End-time events. You may note, however, this scripture precludes ‘the rapture’ and refers to evil being extracted from its association with the ‘sons of the kingdom’, ie. those believers who have taken up that signal privilege promised in John 1:12 ‘as many as received Him (Jesus) to them He gave the right [authority] to become children of God, to those who believe in his name…’ (NKJV).

I humbly suggest noting my emphases in Jesus’ explanation because the next post covers a prophetic word for 2017 promising the parable’s soon fulfillment…

As the opposition to Donald Trump has grown after his amazing victory that is nothing short of a miracle , Psalm 2 has been in my spirit. I will quote a portion of it below.

Psa 2:1 — Psa 2:5

Why do the nations rage,

And the people plot a vain thing? 

The kings of the earth set themselves,

And the rulers take counsel together,

Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 

“Let us break Their bonds in pieces

And cast away Their cords from us.” 

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;

The Lord shall hold them in derision. 

Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,

And distress them in His deep displeasure:

Anointed here is from the Hebrew word,

The fact that biology is not rich in theory is well known. Of the theories that do exist (such as Darwin’s theory of evolution), many have never been formulated into mathematical laws. Physics envy is a well-known propensity of those biologists who desire to be working on a more general understanding of whole fields (like cellular biophysics or regulation of gene expression) rather than on uncovering details of particular subsystems.

I used to be certain that the lack of mathematical rigor in biology was the fault of biologists, who generally are unable to grasp the fundamentals of even simple math. But that canard may be less true than it used to be (if it ever really was). With the explosion of systems biology and the development of algorithms for data mining, there are plenty of biologists around who are perfectly familiar with the manipulation of equations…

WHY BRITAIN HAS TO LEAVE THE EU – IT’S  GOD’S WILL FOR US!

It is written that God establishes the boundaries of nations and for those who understand the times we are in, you realise we’re getting close to the end of days. So in light of the Referendum outcome, we decided to publish this article as we believe Britain could be the ancient nation of Tarshish, as referred to in Old Testament biblical prophecy. Tarshish is listed as one of the nations that challenges the Gog- Magog confederacy that sets itself up against Israel. Tarshish is also one of the first nations to bring offerings (tribute) to the God of Israel therefore could not be part the Gog-Magog confederacy.

The Emmaus Group believes our deliverance from Europe was God’s will for this nation, for His word does not return void but will perform what He purposes, in the thing for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11). So be encouraged, but also understand such revelation highlights the times we’re in. Time is now very short and Britain will soon be humbled. Fulfilled prophecy #10 cont’d – eruption of corruption

On the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed. (Deuteronomy 19:15 NASB)

At the beginning of last week I recalled having mused five months ago in view of the scandals arising in the UK, USA and EU, Is the Lord Exposing Rotten Politics? So was that passing thought ‘prophetically guessing the Lord’s wanting to sort out deep corruption in governments. That’s now come to head at such an appropriate time with next week’s American elections up in the air over Hillary Clinton’s extremely suspicious activities‘?

Hand Holding Puzzzle PieceI didn’t, however, know that over that preceding, just-finished weekend – the last in October – the Lord had told a pastor not to attend that Sunday’s service!

We’d noted unusually severe corruption of that service’s online streaming. The only thing viewers could see was a continuous green-field screen with jagged edges along the top. As noted by chat-room, the technical crew were aware of the issue but unable to resolve the problem within the first 1/2 hour. So we went to the archive for something we’d not seen. Going live later we saw they were all deep in prayer, presumably in connection with the election.

So during yesterday’s service at Church of His Presence my ears pricked up when pastor John Kilpatrick solemnly announced (at 1:11:20 mark of this video).:

JohnK 214_logo“Many of you know last week the Lord spoke to me about 5 o’clock last Saturday evening and said  “I want you to be with me tomorrow instead”…I was looking forward to being at the Fall Festival so I could get to know many more of you…

“I wanted everybody here today because…I’ve changed my mind on what I was going to do…play a David Wilkerson tape for you because it’s so powerful and up-to-date…[John was there when it was recorded about 1974]” 

(1:14:25) “While I was in prayer last week I had three things that the Lord spoke to me. Number one, the first thing the Lord said Saturday afternoon was,

“I want you to spend this next few days with me. I want you to be in isolation.”

“He then said, 

“This is a season of great peril.”

“Usually when God speaks to me it’s just a few words not a sentence or a paragraph and He said, “great peril”.  The next morning the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said,

“There’s going to be an eruption of corruption. There’s going to be an eruption of corruption”. (He said) “The nation will see it”.

“…I thought it probably wasn’t going to manifest or something we wouldn’t actually see but would be important; but the third thing He told me was,

“Thursday through this coming Tuesday (last week to tomorrow) is going to be very, very critical – and 25 days after Tuesday, the election day, is going to be critical.”

“So I told people and I didn’t know anything was going to happen on Thursday or would be evident but I know that something’s going on behind the scenes – I know that it is – and so He said ‘Thursday through to this Tuesday is critical…’. So we’re going to spend some time in prayer…”

John then preached on ‘An Eruption of Corruption’ based upon the Israelites’ escape from bondage in Egypt, seeing what the Lord did for them and what Moses learned of the Lord’s plans up on Mount Sinai, only to find the people had corrupted themselves in his absence with pagan idolatry. They had become impatient with delays and turned away from God to their own ways in imitating other nation’s practices instead of being a holy people.

John also confessed that his own impatience after two years of praying for revival had made him seek leadership of another church far across country. Had that happened then he would have missed the outbreak of the Brownsville Revival in 1995!!  So that was what the Lord had been preparing for, but John’s own thoughts almost corrupted his faith and could have led to his missing the best that God had for him.

Later, therefore, the congregation spent a long time in intercessory prayer.

So in view of that from the Lord about what’s happening in the USA it was interesting to note this headline of yesterday from Fox News: Clinton Foundation Admits It Didn’t Notify State Dept of $1M Quatar Gift.

There far more going on below the surface than the public is aware – but the Living Lord God knows.

Finally, this morning’s informative analysis from Debkafile in The US votes amid split FBI and dented National Security.:

‘At this point, two things are becoming clear:

  1. The federal investigation into Clinton’s past in relation to her emails and her improprieties with regard to the Clinton foundation will not end on Nov. 8.
  2. The FBI is driven by bitter internal wars; some, but not all, are related to the Clinton case. This was strongly implicit in Comey’s three public appearances in the past five months.’

Astonishing mathematics within Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 – the conjunction of Creation, Gospel and Science?

In mid-September a mathematician was writing about his favourite formula whilst I was reading about the very same thing buried deep in holy writ!

A multitude of times I’ve noticed crazy coincidences cropping up to give confirmation and more instruction upon certain topics, as though the Lord’s got His hammer and hitting me between the eyes to get my attention!  This ‘God-incident‘ is the most extraordinary so far coming almost ‘simultaneously’ from both a secular, scientific standpoint and two fundamental scriptures.

An anniversary-cum-birthday holiday brought me opportunity to read a book at long last after a non-stop busy Summer.  So I grabbed a couple from my pile, one of which, Unlocking the Sign Miracles of John by Jonathan R Hill, seemed on the lines of what I’d heard John Kilpatrick saying about the ‘sign miracles’ in the Gospel of John.

Flicking through it I noticed many references to the ‘Consummation of the Age’ (including chapter on its ‘mathematical foundation’), the ‘end-time’ prophetical significance of those miracles, as well as typologies, numerical aspects of Hebrew and Greek alphabets and calculations of time periods. Now, I take the last with a pinch of salt as they need careful checking, but am willing to consider and weigh new, even radical, concepts that don’t contradict scripture.

jr-hill-unlocking_39-2The book is based upon the work of Arthur Ware in The Restored Vision and quotes from Dr Grattan Guinness’ Light For The Last Days (an author used in The Invisible Hand, so influential upon me, as in my “Welcome”). I’m aware of the ancient practice of substituting letters of original Hebrew and Greek alphabets with their ordinal (sequential) value and standard designated values known as gematria, which Hill uses. His book is annotated with cross-references throughout.

Without further ado, here are some introductory points and copies of a few specific pages to read carefully (enlarge for ease of reading):

‘But God does not stop with types, as each letter of the two original languages of the Bible, Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the New Testament, encapsulates a numerical value. Words and collections of sequential words have a mathematical identity which,  therefore, extends the surface narrative. Any agreement between this underlying numerical pattern and the surface meaning or doctrine, affixes considerable authenticity to the text…Only a personable supernatural God could inject such intrinsic connectivity within a book written in two languages with different alphabets, by multiple authors and across two millennia‘ (emphasis mine).

‘The only reference in the (NT) to individual letters is actually in John’s Gospel – ‘And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this man know letters, having never studied?” John 7:15 NKJV (page 20).

‘The existence of a relationship between the surface meaning of the text, the type and the underlying mathematical value has long been known in Jewish Rabbinic tradition’ – see Wiki Pardes (Jewish Exegesis) (page 160).

Page 38: ‘…Before returning to the details of the progression of seven days, one more scientific digression is to be considered. A simple ratio of letters to words in Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 yields the following fundamental mathematical constants seen in figure 4’ – continues below (NB: especially note first footnote):

Mathematician Joseph’s Jaw-dropping Email

Upon returning home on the closing days of September and opening the accumulation of email, I soon read a notification of new post sent the preceding weekend from Joseph at Rationalising the Universe, the early part of which reads:

‘Today I write a short post about something close to my own heart; and to so many others in the field of mathematics which is the notion of mathematical beauty. That is, deriving aesthetic satisfaction from mathematical work (which in my opinion is on a level far above any painting, sculpture or photograph can ever achieve). There is no one defined notion of mathematical beauty; as with the more regular notion of of human beauty there often is a general consensus but it is down to personal taste. Here I summarise some areas in which mathematics in my eyes is at its most beautiful.

‘In this area I take a commonly cited example of Euler’s formula, which was showered with praise by the late great Richard Feynman, who used to refer to the formula as “our jewel”. Let me first present the general version of the formula…’

(He explains formula linking trigonometrical with the exponential form and when ‘x’ takes the value of ‘pi’ it becomes the Euler’s identity, as in Hill’s book above):

‘That is incredibly powerful mathematics summarised in a short, elegant looking formula which revels so much. To me this is incredibly beautiful…’

I was left utterly ‘God-smacked’!  My next post reveals what I found when opening the full post from Joseph.

More of this book has yet to be checked but I offer this account for your information and to the credit of Jonathan Hill and his sources for their immense labour, for which I am indeed grateful.

  1. The theorem uses the five most important constants of mathematics: zero (0), unity (1), ‘e’, the exponential number describing growth and decay ‘e’, ‘pi’ the ratio of a circle’s diameter to its circumference, ‘i’ the basic imaginary number which, if it did exist, equals the square root of -1.
  2. Euler’s identity won a reader’s contest in Mathematical Intelligencer magazine in 2004 by a considerable margin for “the most beautiful theorem in mathematics”.
