‘Hush money’ judge shuts down Trump’s expert witnesses!

It’s not only a farrago but also an utter travesty of justice. Unbiased observers can only infer that by bending the rules of the trial of Donald Trump, the judge himself is ‘bent’ – along with the District Attorney Bragg – AND both are at odds with very many leading legal experts!

On Tuesday, Donald Trump posts on his Telegram (use Preview channel if necessary):

‘Could somebody please ask Judge Merchan, whatever happened to Mark Pomerantz, the man Alvin Bragg was furious at for the things he did on this contrived and unconstitutional case, and why wasn’t he allowed to testify?

Also, why did Judge Merchan not allow Brad Smith, the leading Election Law Expert in the Country, to testify. He would have ended the case quickly by explaining the Law and stating that President Trump did nothing wrong.

Likewise Bob Costello, and all of his direct and irrefutable knowledge, why was he so horribly treated and completely shut down by the Conflicted Judge, and why were his Emails and Text Messages not allowed to be shown…

And then, of course, there’s the BIGGEST EVENT OF THEM ALL, but I’m not allowed to talk about it because I’m under an illegal and unconstitutional GAG ORDER. This is the Biden White House at work. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!’

Yesterday, Fox news’ Emma Colton reports on some of those points in Trump Previews Closing Arguments in ‘Sham Trial’ – “Very Dangerous day for America”

‘Closing arguments follow Trump’s defense team motioning for dismissal of the case following the prosecution team’s star witness, former Trump attorney Michael Cohen. 

Trump attorney Todd Blanche said last week there were “absolutely no false business filings” and no evidence of connection to Trump.

“How on Earth is keeping a false story from voters criminal?” Blanche said.

“There is no way the court should let this case go to the jury with Mr. Cohen’s testimony,” he added.’

Cohen is the only lead witness but his testimony is completely unreliable because, not only did he admit during the trial to having lied and stolen from the Trump organization, but also he’s well-known for regularly lying. His reputation is that of a ‘serial perjurer’!

Emma Colton continues,

‘On Tuesday morning, Trump also said his team had an election expert who was set to testify last week and show that “everything was perfect” referring to former FEC Commissioner Bradley Smith…

The election expert did not testify after Merchan ruled that Smith could speak before the court on the basic definitions surrounding election law but not expand beyond that scope. 

“And we had a lot of other people. I can give you a list of 40 people that would say the exact same thing as these people said,” Trump said Tuesday before continuing, it is a “dangerous day for America.”

There is still debate among legal experts as to the specific crime that District Attorney Alvin Bragg is alleging.

Trump’s lawyers are defending a former president who is charged under a state misdemeanor which died years ago under the statute of limitations. It was then zapped back into life in the form of roughly three dozen felonies by claiming that bookkeeping violations — allegedly hiding payments to Stormy Daniels to ensure her silence about a supposed affair with Trump — were committed to hide another crime.

But what is that second crime?

Even liberal legal analysts admitted that they could not figure out what was being alleged in Bragg’s indictment. Now, after weeks of trial, the situation has changed little.’

‘…Judge Merchan has ruled that the jury does not have to agree on what that crime is. The jury could split into three groups of four on which of the three crimes were being concealed and Merchan will still treat it as a unanimous verdict.

The jury has been given little substantive information on these crimes, and Merchan has denied a legal expert who could have shown that there was no federal election violation.

This case should have been dismissed for lack of evidence or a cognizable crime. The jury will be reminded that the burden is on the government, not the defense…’

End-Times Briefing 20: The Great and Fearful Day of the LORD – Chris G Bennett

Personally, this is a real blessing because I’ve entitled the next End-time Briefing (20) as The Day of the Lord but have yet to start writing; so thank you Lord and Chris. His citations are from the Tree of Life (TLV) translation, copyright 2015 Messianic Jewish Family Bible Society, and this message is from Chris’ Facebook – note Tim Shey’s comments on historical Quaker insights:

THE GREAT AND FEARFUL DAY OF THE LORD

A Word the Lord revealed to me as I was reading Joel 2 this morning, (Wednesday 2nd May). Not only did I receive the revelation, but also the Lord downloaded a part of His plan for His Remnant Church in this day. It’s all in accordance with His promise in Amos 3:7-8., namely:

‘For the Lord Adonai, will do nothing, unless He has revealed His counsel to His servants the prophets.’

The great and mighty wind represents the political turmoil around the world today.

Tearing the mountains represents the shaking of the Lord as applied to the mountains of the world’s finance, religion, education, business, and more – all being torn apart before our eyes.

Shattering the cliffs, or rocks, represents the breakdown of the world’s efforts to ‘be god’, or control and guide their own destiny, especially at the obvious expense of faith in Yeshua HaMashiac and the hope and peace He brings.

The earthquake represents the effect of the present shaking.

The fire represents the Ruach ha-Kodesh as He pours living waters on a dry, parched, and barren land.

The whisper represents the voice of God as He gives His plans and blueprints to His servants, the prophets. (Amos 3:7)

So we are left with the question, “What are you doing here?”

In this, the Lord is speaking to us about our role in the great awakening that is happening all around us right now.

He is preparing us to be prepared to receive and act upon the role He leads us into – the role He wants us doing, the role He has prepared for us, our destiny.

He is appointing and anointing us for our roles – from janitor to CEO – and He is equipping us for that role no matter what it is and no matter what our experience or qualifications!!!

I find myself getting quite excited by the prospect of that which is about to take place on this tiny speck of dust we call earth. I believe we are about to see facets of the nature and power of God that we have never even imagined possible.

It’s an ‘end-time scenario’ that we are watching now as we head towards the great harvest, the rapture, and the tribulation – all as described in God’s Word, the Bible.

Don’t fear, don’t fret or worry, for ADONAI, the Lord God Almighty has His hand on everything. Just rejoice in the goodness and mercy of our wonderful God and Saviour!

Professor Turley (read Bio) presents his case on his popular legal blog as follows (emphases mine):

‘New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan this week became the latest court to impose a gag order on former president Donald Trump with a stinging order that found a history of Trump attacks that threatened the administration of justice. The order will bar public criticism of figures who are at the center of the public debate over this trial and the allegation of the weaponization of the legal system for political purposes, including former Trump counsel Michael Cohen, former stripper Stormy Daniels, and lead prosecutor Matthew Colangelo. Trump is still able to criticize Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Merchan himself.  What is most striking is the protection of Cohen who continues to goad Trump in public attacks..’.

Jonathan concludes,
 
‘…My opposition to past gag orders was based on the constitutional right of defendants to criticize their prosecutions. Courts have gradually expanded both the scope and use of such orders. It has gone from being relatively rare to commonplace.  However, the use to gag the leading candidate for the presidency in the final months of the campaign only magnifies those concerns.

There is a division on courts in dealing with such challenges involving politicians. For example, a court struggled with those issues in the corruption trial of Rep. Harold E. Ford Sr. (D–Tenn.). The district court barred Ford from making any “extrajudicial statement that a reasonable person would expect to be disseminated by means of public communication,” including criticism of the motives of the government or basis, merits, or evidence of the prosecution.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit rejected the gag order as overbroad and stressed that any such limits on free speech should be treated as “presumptively void and may be upheld only on the basis of a clear showing that an exercise of First Amendment rights will interfere with the rights of the parties to a fair trial.”

This order allows for criticism of the case and both Merchan and Bragg. However, you have key figures like Cohen and Coangelo who are already central figures in this political campaign. In Cohen’s case, he has actively engaged in a campaign to block Trump politically and has done countless interviews on this case as part of the legal campaign.

While courts routinely rubber stamp such orders (and Trump’s history will reinforce the basis of the Merchan order), I would still try to appeal it.  The odds always run against challenging such orders and appellate courts are disinclined to even review such orders. However, there is a legitimate free speech concern raised by this order that should be reviewed by higher courts.’

End-times Briefing 10 cont’d: key signs and prophecies

We continue Annex A to Simplicity and examine some items in earlier Briefings:

KEY END-TIME (or SECOND ADVENT) SIGNS and PROPHECIES

An awareness of End-Time signs will help us to see if any world events, as they unfold in the weeks, months and years ahead, can honestly be described as fulfilling Biblical prophecy. Analysis of world events in relation to prophecy requires care and integrity, both to ensure genuine spiritual significance, and to avoid “false news”, conspiracy theories and the pronouncements of false prophets. It will be exceedingly hard to convince a sceptical world that prophecy is being fulfilled!

Some prophecies in the Bible seem particularly significant, in light of current world events, especially in the Middle-East. The following prophecies are worth bearing in mind, especially by those who are intentional about marrying historic prophecies with contemporary occurrences. They are, in short, signs of the End-Times:

  • Egyptian will turn against Egyptian (Isaiah 19:2)
  • Damascus will be in ruins (Isaiah 17:1)
  • Gaza will writhe in agony (Zechariah 9:5)
  • There will be false teachers and prophets who lead people astray (2 Peter 2:1-2)
  • Earthquakes, famines, plague and pestilences will intensify (Luke 21:11)
  • People will prefer fantasy to reality, myth to Christian truths (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Some other signs of note:

  1. The Jews have returned to their Biblical homeland, however, not all of the Jews have returned, and not to all of what was originally the Promised Land. We can expect to see more Jews returning and there may be further expansion of the current borders of Israel.
  2. The desolate land of Israel has become fertile and fruitful – Zechariah 7:14.
  3. The Gospel will be preached to all nations – Matthew 24:14. The Gospel is being preached in many nations, though not yet in all nations. It may be difficult for us to determine when full coverage has been achieved! At the same time, it is surely significant that in a matter of a few years from now the Bible, or parts of it, will have been translated into every known language.
  4. We can expect that in any communication on End-Time prophecies the message, and the messenger, will be mocked and ridiculed (2 Peter 3:3-4).
  5. Jerusalem will be seen as a problem by the whole world (Zechariah 12:2-3). Zechariah made this prophecy in about 520 BC, when Jerusalem was in ruins. Today, as foretold, Israel and Jerusalem are the focus of massive media coverage that is totally disproportionate to the size of the city or nation.
  6. Christians will be persecuted and martyred (Matthew 24:9).
  7. Many will turn away from the Christian faith (Matthew 24:10).
  8. The governance of Jerusalem will be free of Gentile involvement (Luke 21:24).
  9. The “Man of Lawlessness” (the Antichrist) will appear on the world stage. He will be seen as a great and very effective unifying world leader (Revelation 13:3-8). He will establish a seven-year covenant of peace with Israel which, after 31/2 years, he will break when he declares himself as god in the Temple in Jerusalem.
  10. A worldwide financial system will be established requiring people to register and show allegiance to the Antichrist, as a prerequisite to being able to shop and trade (Revelation 13:16-17). We hear talk today of a “new world order”, the need for a worldwide economic organisation and a world government.
  11. A 31/2 year period of desolation and despair, the “Great Tribulation”, will follow the “Abomination of Desolation” by the Antichrist in the Temple.
  12. In order for the prophecy at 11 above to be fulfilled, assuming it is not allegorical, we can expect to see the Temple rebuilt in Jerusalem.
  13. All nations will gather to fight against Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2).
  14. Jesus will return and defeat the attacking nations at Armageddon (Zechariah 14:3-4, Revelation 16:14-16, Revelation 19:11, 19-21).
  15. The awesome realisation that Jesus is the Messiah, and all that that implies, will come to the nation of Israel in absolute certainty (Zechariah 12:9-10).
  16. Nations will be judged according to their treatment of the Jews (Joel 3:1-2).

(Annex A) CONCLUSION 

Undoubtedly, more signs could be added. However, time and space dictate a degree of selectivity. Jesus gave us pointers for the circumstances that will prevail when he returns, but makes it clear that the specific time of his coming cannot be known. It seems clear that we are well along the time line of prophetic events. Those signs that await fulfillment could happen very quickly. Reading the Bible, watching what is happening, particularly in Israel and Jerusalem, and seeking to understand the spiritual significance of unusual signs and symbols in the world around us, are all key elements in our being ready for the return of Jesus.

On 13th August last Julie Green received a prophetic word Something will take place before the 2024 election that will rattle this nation that was broadcast on 21st August 2023, part of which reads, and I underscore the pertinent part:

“Soon you will see that everything in front of you is a lie in more ways than one. I am unmasking your enemies, exposing them, judging them, removing them, and completely revealing all their lies and all they stole from you. Chris G Bennett posted this to his Facebook yesterday (22nd December) and his describing the “sudden flash vision”  reminds me of how Nina was ‘sizzled’ by Holy Spirit 3 years and 14 days ago whilst walking in nearby woods with a friend. Now, please read and weigh Veronika’s very detailed description and explanation in order to appreciate my extracting the following pertinent part: [NB: Veronika is NOT speaking of individuals but demonic spirits that are at work through people and  believes she’s speaking prophetically to “a demonic threefold cord at work” of Jezebel, Leviathan and Ahab]:

“Now I knew by revelation in the dream, that what I was seeing was the ‘Throne of the One World Order’, and the ‘all-seeing eye’ that was engraved upon the seat of the three-legged stool was the eye of the dragon!  Now as I was standing looking and listening intently in the dream, suddenly the noisy crowd went completely silent (and you could have heard a pin drop).

As I looked at him, I saw that he was fully dressed in a strange green outfit with small bells on his shoes and bells on his hat, and as I looked again at the Joker, I heard these words in the dream, ”Watch! For now the Joker’s balancing act with The Queen of Hearts and The Stolen Crown of Triumph will take place!”

Now, as those words seemed to penetrate my inner most being, I saw the Joker lift up a heavy Gold Crown into the air for the crowd to see. And as he lifted the Crown, the crowd went crazy.

I watched as the Joker began to somersault and roll around the arena with the Gold Crown in his hands and then The Joker began to run to and fro around the Circus Tent as if he was trying to find someone (the crowd was still going crazy), laughing and jeering…”

ANALYSIS OF SPECIAL COUNSEL’s REPORT ON BIDEN

For anyone not yet aware of last week’s events here’s Barabara Boyd’s opening words to her five-page incisively scathing indictment (emphases mine):

‘On Thursday afternoon, the Biden Justice Department dropped Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents. It hit official Washington like a special kind of weapon, the kind that violently swallows up all the meticulously constructed barriers preventing the mainstream media from reporting what everyone in America already sees clearly. Hur says Joe Biden is a delusional senile old man with diminished capacities. But Americans had already overwhelmingly concluded that as Biden tanks in all polls. Hur’s official account of the two days he spent interviewing Biden on October 8 and 9, of 2023, and similar accounts of Biden’s mental struggles dating back to 2017, have now made reality official, a telling blow from Biden’s own Department of Justice at that. But this admission of reality turns out to be the excuse for not indicting Biden for clear criminal acts.’

On page three I was pleased to read her in-depth validation of our British sister’s prophetic description of Biden playing the part of a circus clown, “A Joker/Jester came rolling and somersaulting into the Circus Arena”.

Barbara writes:

‘Contrary to Hur’s assessment that Joe Biden is a “well-meaning” aging person with major memory problems, Biden has always been an arrogant narcissistic fool of no meaningful intellectual depth who makes up personas and reality as he goes along. The court jester, Biden’s entire career has been putting on the costume assigned to him by his oligarchic masters every day and performing his assigned role. His long-winded stories in which he appears as the hero have been disproven by reality over and over again. He manipulated his drug addicted son, Hunter, to become the bagman for his family’s corrupt foreign dealings, sucking in millions in a foreign influence scheme. He has weird sexual appetites involving sniffing women’s hair and taking showers with his adolescent daughter. Like any intellectually deficient striver, Biden sucks up and kicks down, berating staff and those he considers beneath him. That is what he did in his presser on Thursday night. He blamed his staff for the documents he illicitly possessed. But Hur’s report portrays a staff which tried for years to keep Biden compliant with classified procedures to no avail. Classified documents just kept disappearing.

In 1987, when Biden’s presidential campaign speeches turned out to be plagiarized from Britain’s Neil Kinnock, Lyndon LaRouche wrote “The Deeper Grounds for Philosophical Doubts with respect to the Existence of Joe Biden.”

“So much of Senator Biden is now attributed to be a carbon copy of other persons, LaRouche wrote, “that a humorist might be forced to speculate whether or not ‘Joe Biden’ were merely a computer-synthesized laser-hologram, pieced together out of entries taken from Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations.”

In the last week of last year I posted news of Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling to ban  Donald Trump from the state’s ballots, and then noticed constitutional expert Professor Jonathan Turley published a list of states aiming to do likewise, and of contrary-wise. This reminded me of what I’d done 10 years ago, as told below:
