For years, we have repeatedly warned about the BBC’s consistent failures to uphold the standards of accuracy, impartiality, and integrity expected from a public broadcaster. The BBC’s reporting, especially by BBC Arabic, has too often distorted reality, omitted vital context, and provided a platform for antisemitic and extremist narratives. This failure has contributed to public misinformation, hostility towards Israel and Jewish people, and, tragically, to the radicalisation of audiences in the UK and across the Middle East.
We hope that this moment will serve as a turning point. The BBC must seize this opportunity to restore public trust by ensuring fair, factual, and balanced coverage of Israel and the Middle East. Accountability and transparency must replace denial and defensiveness.
We call for full accountability for those responsible for the editorial failings of BBC Arabic and for full reform to ensure that its future reporting meets the standards expected of the BBC.
Israel values the role of a free and responsible press. It is our sincere hope that, under new leadership, the BBC will recommit itself to those principles and rebuild a relationship with its audiences, based on truth, integrity, and respect.’
‘Tim Davie’s resignation is not a mystery ..it is a reckoning.
When the BBC, the nation’s public broadcaster, edits the words of a world leader, it ceases to report events and begins to manufacture them. At that moment, impartiality becomes illusion.
For years, audiences have seen the pattern: selective framing, loaded emphasis, and a quiet shaping of narrative behind the veil of neutrality. The Panorama edit merely brought it into daylight. What the BBC once denied, it now concedes that truth was bent to fit the story.
This isn’t about ideology. It’s about integrity. A public broadcaster exists to present reality as it is, not as it wishes it to appear.
When the facts are cut and rearranged, trust is the first casualty and with trust gone, leadership cannot stand.
Davie’s resignation is not closure; it is Exhibit A in the case for reform.
The next chapter will decide whether the BBC rediscovers its purpose or forfeits it forever.

As driver, let me recap parts of the journey since leaving the siding in 2009 after being briefed on the parable of the wheat and tares (The Endgame is now in play) and taking a practice-run in the Middle-East before stopping to take on passengers 14 years ago this month. In that first year we espied the BBC’s blatant bias against Israel (here, here, here,here and here) and cited BBC Watch (now CAMERA-UK); and in summation:.
Then travelling to America, in addition to monitoring Obama’s foreign policy we began to pay attention to his internal politics and 2016 election, when we sensed the Lord would be exposing its corruption, as well as political rot here and in the EU. This was soon to be validated and followed in-depth (now nearly 700 exposures) as Trump’s presidency encountered deep opposition with injunctions based upon now proven sedition.
Readers may recall my disdain of BBC as Brussels Broadcasting Club and as Britain’s Brainwashing Cult. Moreover, it supports and promulgates terrorist propaganda!

Monday’s explosive news reported next, should not have surprised my subscribers or Telegram and Facebook friends who’d recall this blog’s extensive in-depth cover of the rally and march to the US Capitol on 6th January 2021.
But I hope it has shocked folk who’d swallowed mendacious MainStream Media lies hook, line and sinker. As ‘prince of the power of the air’ (Ephesians 2,2), satan had prompted many Christians to accept MSM pronouncements about Donald Trump and thus speak of him contemptuously, even whilst addressing congregations!
‘The BBC doctored a Donald Trump speech by making him appear to encourage the Capitol Hill riot, according to an internal whistleblowing memo seen by The Telegraph.
A Panorama programme, broadcast a week before the US election, “completely misled” viewers by showing the president telling supporters he was going to walk to the Capitol with them to “fight like hell”, when in fact he said he would walk with them“to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”.
The “mangled” footage was highlighted in a 19-page dossier on BBC bias, which was compiled by a recent member of the corporation’s standards committee and is now circulating in government departments.
The dossier said the programme made the US president “‘say’ things [he] never actually said” by splicing together footage from the start of his speech with something he said nearly an hour later.
It claimed senior executives and the BBC’s chairman had ignored and dismissed a string of serious complaints raised by the corporation’s own standards watchdog.
Donald Trump Jr, the president’s eldest son, accused the BBC of dishonesty and “fake news”.He reposted The Telegraph’s story on X, writing: “The FAKE NEWS ‘reporters’ in the UK are just as dishonest and full of s— as the ones here in America!!!!”
‘…The document raises serious questions about the culture at the BBC, how it affects impartiality and how managers including Tim Davie, the director-general, are accused of turning a blind eye to evidence of bias...’
…..‘Nigel Huddleston, the shadow culture secretary, said: “These are extremely concerning revelations that could seriously undermine the brand and reputation of the BBC. The BBC licence fee is justified on the basis of impartiality and trust.
“There can be no justification for this kind of deliberate manipulation and the spreading of misinformation. “This is not the first time that evidence of bias at the BBC has emerged, but it is one of the most stark and alarming examples to date.
“Licence-fee payers deserve an immediate explanation and apology from the BBC and a thorough investigation into this scandal must take place.”
The most damaging disclosures involve a one-hour Panorama special called ‘Trump: A Second Chance?’ that was broadcast in October last year.
As well as altering Mr Trump’s words, the documentary also showed flag-waving men marching on the Capitol in Washington DC on Jan 6 2021 after the president spoke, which “created the impression Trump’s supporters had taken up his ‘call to arms’”. In fact the footage, was shot before Mr Trump had even started speaking.
The report said Panorama’s “distortion of the day’s events” was so egregious that viewers would ask: “Why should the BBC be trusted, and where will this all end?”
When the issue was raised with managers, they “refused to accept there had been a breach of standards”.The report’s author then warned Samir Shah, the BBC chairman, of the “very, very dangerous precedent” set by Panorama but received no reply.’
…..‘Former BBC radio presenter Liz Kershaw said on X: “This is no surprise to me. I presented news and current affairs programmes on the BBC on four stations from 1993 to 2011. The biased groupthink among its journalists was outrageous and had to be fought and rebalanced every day.”
…..’The report on BBC bias was written by Michael Prescott, who spent three years as an independent external adviser to the broadcaster’s Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee (EGSC) before leaving the role in June….a former journalist who has worked in a series of corporate advisory roles, (Mr P ) said in a covering letter sent with his dossier, which is now circulating in Whitehall and has been seen by The Telegraph, that he had been moved to act because of his “despair at inaction by the BBC Executive when issues come to light”.
He sent the dossier to the BBC Board because repeated warnings to the EGSC were “dismissed or ignored”.
Mr Prescott wrote in the letter: “I departed [from the advisory role] with profound and unresolved concerns about the BBC…my view is that the Executive repeatedly failed to implement measures to resolve highlighted problems, and in many cases simply refused to acknowledge there was an issue at all.”
….’The hour-long Panorama special called ‘Trump: A Second Chance?’ was aired on Oct 28 last year.
Mr Prescott, one of two independent editorial advisers sitting on the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee at the time, watched the programme and was struck by its “distinctly anti-Trump stance”, with 10 Trump critics featured against just one supporter. He said he was “shocked” to discover there was no similar programme examining the record of Kamala Harris, Mr Trump’s presidential rival.
Mr Prescott raised concerns with the EGSC and David Grossman, the senior editorial adviser to the committee, was asked to review the programme…(he) “highlighted alarming concerns about how Panorama had edited Trump’s speech to his supporters” on Jan 6 2021.
Mr Prescott wrote: “Examining the charge that Trump had incited protesters to storm Capitol Hill, it turned out that Panorama had spliced together two clips from separate parts of his speech. This created the impression that Trump said something he did not and, in doing so, materially misled viewers.”
…(He) said in his report: “It was completely misleading to edit the clip in the way Panorama aired it.The fact that [Mr Trump] did not explicitly exhort supporters to go down and fight at Capitol Hill was one of the reasons there were no federal charges for incitement to riot.”

The BBC’s Arabic news service chose to “minimise Israeli suffering” in the war in Gaza so it could “paint Israel as the aggressor”, according to an internal report by a whistle-blower.
Allegations made against Israel were “raced to air” without adequate checks, the memo says, suggesting either carelessness or “a desire always to believe the worst about Israel”.
BBC Arabic, which is funded partly by a grant from the Foreign Office, gave large amounts of space to statements from Hamas, making its editorial slant “considerably different” to the main BBC website even though it is supposed to reflect the same values, managers were warned.
The BBC also gave “unjustifiable weight” to Hamas claims about the death toll in Gaza, which are widely accepted to have been exaggerated for propaganda purposes, and incorrectly claimed the International Court of Justice had ruled that genocide was taking place.
Danny Cohen, the former director of BBC Television, said it was now clear that the BBC was “not safe” in the hands of its senior managers and they should “hang their heads in shame and resign”.’

THE RISE OF THE FOURTH REICH – Chris Wickland
What I want to talk about today is what I call the rise of the Fourth Reich.
In Nazi Germany, there was the Third Reich. For those who don’t know, “Reich” means kingdom or empire. According to Hitler:
The First Reich was the Roman Empire.
The Second Reich was Germany in its heyday.
The Third Reich was Hitler’s attempt to bring Germany to global prominence, which led to terrible atrocities under the guise of progress and nationalism.
Watching it gave me chills because I saw parallels in Britain today. Initially, I thought the message was too strong, too much to share. But after recent events, it’s clear this is a time to speak, to challenge what’s happening.
In Bonhoeffer’s day, pastors were arrested for speaking the truth — 800 of them. How many pastors in Britain today would dare to speak the truth? Few, because reputation matters more than the cause of Christ.
A quote from the Daily Telegraph highlights current issues (RB: DT search results):
“The news that Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are to be banned from attending Aston Villa’s Europa League match in Birmingham is perhaps the highest-profile example yet of two-tiered policing. This case lays bare an ugly truth about British policing in 2025.The police have chosen to afford different rights to different groups. Israelis—or Jews—have again been relegated to second-class status. Imagine if it involved mainly Muslim supporters—would the outcome have been the same?”
This is happening in our nation. Subtle, clever propaganda is at work. We’re told actions are “for their safety” — a tactic reminiscent of totalitarian control.
Before diving further, let’s ground ourselves in Scripture. Ephesians 5:11 says:
“Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead expose them.”
Every Christian has a responsibility to speak, to act, to stand. To not speak is to speak.To not act is to act. There is no neutrality. You are either for righteousness or for darkness!
The Church is called to be children of the light, shining in this dark hour. Alarmingly, many churches today are doing their best to do nothing.
The Church’s prophetic role is to hold those in power accountable. This is what Bonhoeffer emphasized. If the Church needs to raise her voice, it is NOW!
I witnessed people at a protest in Southampton, hugging me, crying, grateful to see Christians with the courage to stand for truth and defend the nation. Grown adults were moved by someone simply wearing a clerical collar.
Consider the treatment of Jewish people:
banned under the guise of “safety,”
denied access to events, while governments and institutions remain silent.
Last year, London’s largest Christmas market was told to rename itself a “Winter Market” to avoid offending anyone.
This is cultural erasure.
It’s also a spiritual war. Cultural Marxism, political correctness, woke ideology—they infiltrate churches and society alike.
Compassion has become a cult, replacing justice and righteousness.
Christians must resist being duped by misleading agendas like Black Lives Matter or pro-Palestinian narratives that, at their core, aim to delegitimize Jews.
Zechariah 12:3 reminds us of the End-times significance of hatred against Jews:
“…all who lift it [Jerusalem] will be severely injured, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.”
We see a subtle global hatred for Jews, often hidden behind terms like “anti-Zionist.” Yet Zionism simply affirms Jews’ right to their homeland. To oppose that is to oppose them.
The Church must not stay silent.
Many denominations today, including state churches and evangelicals, have taken pro-Palestinian stances. Some even forbid praying for Israel.
Those who remain quiet or complicit are aiding a cultural agenda reminiscent of Nazi Germany.
Matthew 5:13-16 teaches:
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden… Let your light shine before men…”
Churches have lost their saltiness. Many fear offending or being labeled extremist, prioritizing reputation over obedience. Yet Jesus called us to take up our cross daily, to live sacrificially, and to let our light shine.
History shows that Hitler promised the Church safety if it stayed out of politics. Today, Christians are told the same. But Scripture calls us to influence the world for God’s Kingdom — to be yeast in the dough, salt in the wounds, light in the darkness.
Who do we serve? The Jewishness of Jesus is suppressed in our churches. He is not a “nice white hippie”; He is the Jewish Messiah, and He will reign from Israel. Hatred of Israel or Jews is incompatible with serving Christ.
Acts 5:29:
“We must obey God rather than man.”
Romans 13 teaches submission to authority — but only when it aligns with God’s will. When governments contradict Scripture, Christians must stand for God,not man. [RB note verse 4 – governments are to act against – NOT promote and practice – evil.]
Christianity today faces persecution—sometimes subtle, sometimes overt. Those who speak truth are labeled fascists, Nazis, or racist. Yet those truly operating in that spirit are often anti-Semitic, woke, or culturally Marxist—mirroring the Church of the Third Reich.
Faith without action is dead. Silence in the face of evil is complicity. Dietrich Bonhoeffer warned:
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless.”
This is the defining hour: light or darkness, truth or compromise. The Church must stand, proclaim righteousness, and resist the rise of the Fourth Reich in our time.
AN EXCEPTIONAL PROPHETIC WORD RELEVANT TO CHURCHES’ ABDICATION OF RESPONSIBILITY AND SHAMBOLIC GOVERNING AND POLICING IN BRITAIN

A week ago on Wednesday I was blessed to meet my dear friend Neil over lunch and he soon divulged a brief word he’d been given during that night. As we munched, he mulled over the ENORMITY of what the Lord had dropped into his mind. It was, “Not the way I might have worded it!”
Here’s what Neil was led to write:
SHEEP OR GOAT?
INTRODUCTION
This morning (6 Aug 25) at about 2 am, I woke up with a start. The Lord said to me:
“Satan is stealing the chance of eternal salvation and replacing it with the probability of eternal damnation.”
I felt called to write about the “Sheep and the Goats” judgement (Matthew 25:31-46 – The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations). Rather than slavishly going through the scripture line by line, I would ask that you read it carefully via the above link, before continuing with this article. Clearly, the sheep represent the righteous and the goats represent the unrighteous, and it is a prophetic parable.[RB: an End-times one too]
As we move on, I am sure you will see why I realised that what I was writing was a follow on to, and amplification of, my last article: The Bandwagon of Deception.
“THE LEAST OF THESE”
Jesus, speaking to the “sheep”, says:“Truly I tell you whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”To the goats He says: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these you did not do for me” (v:40;45).
The question is: who are: “the least of these brothers and sisters of mine“? In my mind’s eye, I see Jesus gesturing with His hand towards a group “one of the least of these ….”: In other words, Jesus is indicating that there is a third group present, who are “witnesses” to the event (i.e., other than the “sheep” and the “goats”).
I have read some erudite articles, and listened to some eloquent talks, on the sheep and goats’ scripture. The most frequent response to who “the least of these” could be is that they are “Christians”. Another popular view is that the term is referring to “anyone in need”. There is a problem with this latter understanding: If the “sheep” are not Christians, the text would seem to be indicating that performing “good works” is all that is required for entry to eternal life in the Kingdom of God, and that is definitely not what the Bible says.
If they are Christians, and the scripture “No-one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6) makes me think they must be, then I am convinced that when the King (Jesus the Jew) says, “the least of these brothers and sisters of mine” He must be talking about His Jewish “brothers and sisters” (“brethren” in some translations), i.e., all Jewish people.
BROTHERS AND SISTERS (BRETHREN)
There are several scriptures where Jews, including unbelievers, are referred to as brothers and sisters, or brethren. In Acts 2:29 Peter, in his sermon on the Day of Pentecost, calls the assembled crowd brethren (“Fellow Israelites” in some translations). Similarly, both Stephen (Acts 7:20) and Paul (Acts 13:38) call Jews, both believers and nonbelievers, “brothers” or “brethren”, depending on the Bible version.
WHEN?
The “sheep and goats” judgement takes place on the Earth, just before the start of the Millennium. Its purpose is to determine who will enter the Millennium Kingdom, i.e., to ensure that the righteous, rather than the cruel and wicked, will populate the world. It is not to be confused with the White Throne judgement, which takes place at the end of the millennium (Revelation 20:12-15).
RELEVANCE
We are in a time of uproar: multitudes are clamouring for the destruction of Israel. The truth is, God has told us that this would happen. We dangerously underestimate our God, if we believe He has been caught unawares by the world-wide outpouring of aggressive and vitriolic antisemitism.
God is omniscient and has always known that this ploy of Satan’s would have to be addressed. The prophetic scriptures give us a hint of God’s foreknowledge. I believe that this prophetic parable hinges on how people relate to, and behave towards, the Jews.
CONCLUSION
While I recognise that there are good arguments to support the case for the “witnesses” being Christians, I think it is unsafe to ignore the likelihood that they are, in fact, Jewish.
As mentioned above, we are in a time of extreme antisemitism which, as explained in The Bandwagon of Deception, is so deeply entrenched in the church that many “Christians” believe the church has replaced Israel in God’s favour, which is a diabolical lie.
Whether we like it or not, the Jews are God’s chosen people – the Bible, from beginning to end, makes that abundantly clear. Those shouting against Israel are showing a wilful determination to trample God’s chosen people underfoot.
I beg you, don’t believe the lie and let Satan steal your opportunity for eternal salvation.
So much happening online delaying my blogging about our sovereign, prime minister and party being FOOLED (thus NOT a government) by prime-evil barbarians pretending to deserve rational political recognition, but upon catching up with dozens of emails I’m pleased to find this sent on Tuesday from my dear friend Neil (emphases mine).
As though by God-incidental confirmation, Neil’s thesis echoes not only my repenting on behalf of our ungodly UK leaders, but also my mulling over 2Thess 2:1-12 on the ‘strong delusion’ God is sending the new woke Archbishop of Wales before their reckoning, viz: 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Now over to Neil:
THE BANDWAGON OF DECEPTION
(SWIMMING AGAINST THE TIDE IN A SEA OF LIES)
INTRODUCTION
The aim of this article is to explain some aspects of how a great deception has become imbedded in the Church and Christian society. This overview is far from exhaustive: my hope is that readers will feel called to research further in the Bible and seek to understand God’s redemptive plan for Jews and Gentiles.
THE COUNCIL OF JERUSALEM
In about 50 AD, the apostles and elders held a meeting, later known as The Council of Jerusalem, to discuss whether the acceptance of Gentiles as believers should be dependent on their agreeing to observe Jewish practices and procedures (i.e. by converting to Judaism). Acts 15 describes the outcome: Gentile believers did not need to convert to Judaism.
The decision was largely based on Peter’s experience, when he went to the house of Cornelius the centurion (see Acts 10). Cornelius and his household were baptised in the Holy Spirit, after listening to Peter. They were neither circumcised nor observers of Jewish customs and practices.
The apostles and elders had “eyes to see and ears to hear” and understood that God was moving in a new way among the Gentiles. The Council of Jerusalem showed a generosity of spirit that was both inclusive to Gentile believers and obedient to the Will of God.
Their decision was Biblical and evidence-based.
COUNCIL OF NICAEA 325 AD
Moving swiftly forward, the outcome of the Council of Nicaea* was very different. The gathering of bishops (all Gentiles), ordered by Emperor Constantine, ignored the Jewish heritage of the Christian faith, and made no mention of Jesus being a Jew.
To be accepted as Christians, Jews were required to renounce their Jewish beliefs, not keep Shabbat, change their names to Christian names etc. The fact that the apostles had Jewish names and Jesus’ Hebrew name is Jeshua, was ignored.
After the Council, Constantine wrote: “It was declared to be particularly unworthy for, the holiest of all festivals (Easter), to follow the custom of the Jews, who had soiled their hands with the most fearful of crimes … We ought not, therefore, to have anything in common with the Jews …. but to separate ourselves from the detestable company of the Jews ….. At the same time it is our duty not to have anything in common with the murderers of our Lord.”
There is more in this vein; suffice it to say, the Council of Nicaea nurtured and developed the roots of antisemitism that were seeded over the previous 200 years. Unlike the Council of Jerusalem’s attitude towards Gentile believers, there was nothing inclusive or generous of spirit in the Council of Nicaea’s view of the Jews.
Their attitude was neither Biblical nor evidence-based.
PAUL THE APOSTLE
It seems likely that Paul, by God’s guidance, foresaw the possibility of the Church parting company with its Jewish roots. Paul could not have been clearer in his teaching that the gospel of God was “to the Jew first and then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). In Romans 9-11, he explains the relationship between God and His chosen people Israel, and that even though many rejected Yeshua, they remain “beloved for the sake of the fathers” (11:28), and will be saved (11:26). Paul also warned the Gentiles against arrogance towards the Jews (11:18).
God’s love for His chosen people Israel is confirmed in many other scriptures. Some examples: His everlasting covenant (Genesis 12:1-8); they are ‘the apple of His eye’ (Zechariah 2:8); His first-born (Matthew 4:22); special treasure (Deuteronomy 7:6}; My Glory (Isaiah 46:13); My Nation (Isaiah 51:4).
Paul’s passion and love for his people is also clear (e.g., Romans 9:3) and he never renounced his Jewish roots; rather the opposite, he calls himself a “Hebrew of Hebrews” (Acts 22:2, see also Philippians 3:5).
WHAT IFs
We have looked at some aspects of how antisemitism became established in much of the Church, and commented on God’s deep and enduring love for His people. I now want to summarise some facets of how antisemitism has influenced society. I do this by a number of “what if” questions, as a form of shorthand covering huge issues.
What if many of the Founding Fathers of the Church; the Heroes of the Faith; God’s Generals; and various convocations of bishops, were all wrong in their attitude towards the Jews? Who would dare to speak out against such protagonists?
What if Hitler had not felt that the Lutheran church supported his views?
What if the once recognised bastions of virtue, truth and justice like the UN; ICJ; BBC; and so on, are wrong in their attitude towards the Jews? Who would listen to anyone who rails against such established bulwarks of society?
What if proponents of Replacement Theology are bearing false witness?
What if much of the Church has been undermined by, and has succumbed to, ‘woke’ ideology?
What if the Bible is accurate when it says people will prefer lies to truth (2 Timothy 4:4, see also 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11) and that those who curse Israel will be cursed (Genesis 12:3).
What if the media are accepting and promulgating (broadcasting) Hamas reports without carrying out due diligence and verifying those reports?
I am sure you will be able to think of many more.
THE WHY AND THE HOW
Satan, the father of lies, knows what the Bible says: nevertheless, he believes he can thwart God’s End-time plan, and avoid his ultimate destiny: “the lake of burning sulphur” (Revelation 20:10).
He has already established a pattern of deception and scheming against the Jews.
Why?
Because the Book of Revelation says Jesus will return to Jerusalem to take His rightful place on the throne of David, as King of the Jews. Satan seeks to prevent that certainty. His attempts to destroy Jesus, to disperse the Jews, to undermine their national identity, to annihilate them (the holocaust), to prevent their return to Israel and/or to destroy or divide Jerusalem, have either failed or have not been fully realised.
Time is short and Satan is getting more desperate – he is whipping up a frenzy of worldwide antisemitism and hatred against Israel which, in fact, is fulfilling prophecy.
CONCLUSION
Much of the Church has bought into a lie, in respect of its relationship with Israel. It is time to expose this ancient deception. We, the Gentile Christians, need to humble ourselves and repent (2 Chronicles 7:14). God forgive us for forgetting how greatly blessed we Gentiles are to have been grafted into the Jewish tree. The roots of that tree were established and nurtured by Jesus and the Jewish apostles: we owe them an immeasurable debt of gratitude.
The maelstrom of lies, libels and curses against Israel is overwhelming, and it is truly astonishing that they are so widely accepted by so many who should know better.
I tell you the truth, prophecy is being fulfilled in our time, and it may not be long before Jesus returns – Hallelujah. And one thing is certain, each one of us is going to have to give an account before God for our words and actions (Romans 14:12).
What will you say?

‘This year many churches around the world are commemorating 1700 years since the landmark Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. According to Church historian Philip Schaff, Nicaea was – next to the Apostolic council in Jerusalem in Acts chapter 15 – “the most important and the most illustrious of all the councils of Christendom.” (1)
Nicaea was only the second global council since the days of the original Apostles. In Acts 15, we read about the very first church council discussing how to deal with the new phenomena of Gentiles joining a predominantly Jewish church. In that Jerusalem gathering, the early Apostles had opened wide the door for Gentile believers to join the Church.
Nicaea impacted the Church in a similarly powerful way. But unlike the Jerusalem council, at Nicaea the doors of the Church began to be firmly close on the Jewish people. The umbilical cord was cut between the Church and Israel, even though it was the nation and people who had birthed the Church. It also opened the door for growing anti-Jewish tendencies among Gentile Christians in the following centuries.
To be clear, this development was neither planned nor intended when the council was first called. Yet what made Nicaea end with a very different result from its inception was not inspired by spiritual leaders as in Acts 15, but by the Roman emperor himself.
Emperor Constantine, who reigned from 306 to 337 AD, was a new convert to Christianity. This brought a tremendous sense of relief for the early Church, which had just survived one of the worst waves of persecution a few years earlier under Emperor Diocletian. Constantine not only eased the fears of the Church but decided to make his newly-found faith the most official religion of the Roman Empire….’
Post-holiday blogging plans got diverted last Monday by an invisible ‘poke’ to attend to a paper Neil Mackereth had sent me on 24 April, but which I found had disappeared, even though shown as an attachment – and then emails acted weirdly! However, connection got made just in time for Neil to send a fresh copy before going away – SO, our Lord must have been on-hand to give a helping hand!
Thus as he’d already written me, not only his meetings over the Palm Sunday weekend but also my delayed action last week and subsequent postings and relevant news, were indeed “God-engineered”, as Neil surmised – rather like a shower of jigsaw pieces:

Other news emerging last week validates my first email on End-times with its top-level security warning, but which may relate to an apparently official anti-Semitic stance in Britain, beyond what I reported last November in..

Police body-worn camera footage captured officers scrutinising the 71-year-old’s collection of books by authors such as Douglas Murray, a Telegraph contributor, and issues of The Spectator, pointing to what they described as “very Brexity things”.
…“Free speech is clearly under attack,” said Mr Foulkes. “Nobody is really safe… the public needs to see what’s happening, and be shocked.”
‘…Mr Foulkes, who volunteered with the force for a decade, had his home searched, and was detained for eight hours, interviewed and cautioned. He had replied to a tweet from a pro-Palestinian activist who had threatened to sue Mrs Braverman for calling anti-Israel protests “hate marches”…
..She told Mr Foulkes that it was ironic the police were “very, very eager” to arrest him over his social media post warning about anti-Semitism, “but when thousands of people were marching through the streets on Armistice Day, chanting anti-Semitic slogans, celebrating terrorism, they suddenly became very meek and mild and didn’t have enough resources or powers”.[RB. But dozens of police surrounded just one Englishman and removed him for protesting the march!!! – Tommy Robinson]
Mrs Braverman said her struggle to reform the system from within had convinced her that real change may now only come from people like Mr Foulkes speaking out…’
WWW, wheels-within-wheels, continue to roll as dear Neil’s revisiting ‘RT’ and strong stand against anti-Semitism takes this blog full circle back to its beginning fourteen years ago in November when my emailing him and other friends on End-times went public. That month I’d already written about a broadcast theological debate and my very first item, after launching with a Welcome to the wider public, continued with a follow-up, viz
As ever, ‘God-incidental’ timing is intriguing because Neil wrote his latest as a result of a “curious series of events happened over the weekend” (Psalm Sunday) exposing the need for a proper grasp of scripture’s relevance to our times, and he wishes to share:
“Saturday morning I attended a Men’s Breakfast…I went with no intention or expectation of speaking….
There was a guest speaker from America who I did not know, and have never heard. He started by saying that he had decided the best format for the meeting would be if we attenders where to ask any question we liked, and he would answer. There was a long silence; so, to break the ice, I asked “Do you think Gaza could be under the judgement of God?” there was another silence, then he said: “I don’t know about Gaza, but I think America is under judgement”. I said: “I asked the question because the people of Gaza have been cursing Israel for at least 20 years, and probably 77. In the Bible God says that if you curse my people Israel you will be cursed: there must be an outcome”. He said: “it depends on who you think “Israel” is. It is not the land, it is the people of God who are now “Israel” and there is only one “people of God”. My comment: “that sounds like replacement theology”. He then said something about different dispensations and “grafted-in Theology”, at which point the host stepped in and said we needed to move on to other questions.”
The next day Neil was interrupted during conversation by someone saying she’d heard he’d been “controversial” at the breakfast – but the speaker was entitled to a different point of view. “I tried to explain that replacement theology is not just “a different point of view”. However, I could see I wasn’t going to get anywhere… I don’t know why what happened, happened, but I am convinced it was God engineered.”
The sadness is that very few people understood, or cared about, what had taken place. The woman’s belief that it was a fluffy little difference of opinion between two equally valid points, seems to be the consensus view.”
Such a clueless position, instead of taking a stand against hatred, it implicitly supports….
BBC and ANTI-SEMITISM
As a consequence of writing about ‘RT’ in November 2011 I noticed and posted many times in the blog’s first year on the BBC’s deeply biased reporting against Israel – hence the need for a BBC tag!
AND IT JUST SO HAPPENS that since Neil’s ‘God engineered’ encounters, relevant news emerged on Tuesday regarding a vastly overpaid sports ex-commentator:

Christ Our Peace
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. This points to God’s ultimate goal of all people, Jews and non-Jews, becoming united believers in Jesus Christ through His awesome grace. This is extensively explained in the books written to the Hebrews and the church in Rome.
I am disturbed and distressed by the parlous state of the World and our Nation. With few exceptions, our churches have developed a wishy washy, sit on the fence, don’t rock the boat, non-confrontational form of Complacent Theology.
Where is the conviction, robustness and power of Almighty God? I have a zeal for The Word of God, and truth, which is at odds with the smug wokeness of our time.
I want to focus on Replacement Theology (RT) (also known as Supersessionism), and its manifestation, antisemitism. I have written several papers on this subject and only return to it because it is getting much worse, as a result of the 7th October 2023 atrocities. The “Palestinian Movement” have invented a false narrative that has been taken up by the BBC and other mainstream media platforms, and that narrative has become self-affirming (“it must be right; they are saying it as well”).
My End-times writing partner Neil Mackereth offers further thoughts and insights which strongly remind me that this topic not only proves the Bible is prophetic, both before and since Jesus’ life and ministry, but also affects everyone living today by predicting a 20th Century event that is focal – as though ‘ground-zero’ – to kick-starting the End-times. Thus, I underscore Neil’s opening paragraph…
STANDING YOUR GROUND
Introduction
In the last couple of years, it has often been the case that when I start to write an article on a particular topic, God changes my direction. Today is no exception: while drafting a paper on some general principles of prophecy, God guided me to a specific prophetic fulfilment, and to some related Biblical imperatives, that are being under-appreciated or ignored.
The Prophetic Fulfilment
The re-establishment of the state of Israel in a day, on 14 May 1948, was supernatural, extraordinary and the fulfilment of many prophecies; as in the accompanying Annex.
The detail in those prophecies is mind-blowing and their significance, describing a key turning point in the history of God’s people and a major stepping-stone in the accomplishment of His plans for the world, is seriously undervalued by the church.
Biblical Imperatives
The imperative that trumps all imperatives is that if the Jews were taken out of history there would be no Bible, no prophets, no Judaism, no Jesus, no Christianity etc. Obviously, that is not where we are. But think about it; if Israel were to cease to exist, the Bible would not be true.
Moving on, Israel is a land about which God repeatedly says: “This is MY land” (Joel 1:6; Zech. 2:5-7; Gen. 35:10-15).
God’s call to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3): ”Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Isaiah 62:1: “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn,her salvation like a blazing torch.The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory;”
Psalm 122:6: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem”
The Outworking
It is time to take the Word of God seriously, speak out, tell the truth, bless Israel, pray without ceasing, preach the Gospel and lift up our hands in Holy and joyful praise: we have a mighty God.
The Challenge
There can be few who would not agree that the “Palestinians” have been cursing Israel for at least 20 years, and probably for 77. The Bible shows there are consequences: I believe Gaza is under judgement. That does not mean that we should not pray for them and seek their wellbeing. There is no place for hatred in our faith,
What are the roots of this demonically driven desire to see Israel overrun, and the Jewish people eradicated? That question was answered in part in an earlier paper: Israel in the End Times. It is all part of Satan’s plan to ensure that there is no Nation of Israel, no land and no people, for Jesus to return to as King. In other words, Satan believes he can prevent the fulfilment of Biblical prophecy.
With few exceptions, the founding fathers of the church were Jews, and that remained the case until the Gospel began to spread. Paul defines and describes the Jews’ role in God’s purposes, in Romans 9-11: the passage explains the theology of God’s covenants with the Jews. Scripture explains that, spiritually speaking, Christians are grafted into the Jewish legacy (Rom. 2:28-29, Gal. 3:26-29) – the church does not replace them!
It would be anomalous for a Bible-believing Christian to take a passive position toward the Jews and Israel. As Christians, we stand with Israel, because they are forever linked with the spiritual promises of God, and we owe them an immeasurable debt of gratitude.
Ezekiel 37 confirms God’s commitment to make the land of Israel theirs forever.
Notwithstanding Israel’s clear Biblical entitlement to the land, the 1917 Balfour declaration to assign it to them, and the confirmation of the United Nations Assembly in 1948, Israel is portrayed as the aggressor for defending her land from relentless genocidal attacks. The Palestinian goal is not to secure a homeland but to drive Israel out altogether. The relentless animosity of parts of the Arab world is not politically motivated. As mentioned above, there are demonic powers that will not be satisfied until Israel ceases to exist.
Stand With Israel
Scripture says a time is coming when all the nations of the world will turn against Israel (Zech. 12:1-14). Do you see it is happening? The very influential main stream media have become agents of Satan’ propaganda machine and are leading people astray: antisemitism has reached epidemic proportions (eg. as in latest on the BBC as below).
There seems every likelihood that we are the end times generation. Our calling is to stand with Israel. As Ephesians 6:13 says:
“Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
‘Tim Davie, the BBC’s director general, refused anti-Semitism training for the broadcaster, the Government’s adviser on anti-Jewish hatred has revealed.
Lord Mann, Sir Keir Starmer’s independent adviser on anti-Semitism, said he had visited BBC bosses to offer training on three occasions since taking up his role in 2019. However, he said senior figures, including Mr Davie himself, turned down his repeated offers despite growing fears of an anti-Semitism problem at the BBC.
In a strongly worded condemnation of the broadcaster, Lord Mann accused it of failing to take seriously allegations of anti-Semitism and alleged anti-Israel bias in its reporting, saying there was an “arrogance at the top”.
He called for senior executives of the news corporation to be sacked for signing off on a controversial documentary….’
The above comes as no surprise in view of this blog’s dozens of postings on BBC, and regarding it as ‘Brussels’ Broadcasting Club’ and ‘Britain’s Brainwashing Cult’…and this screen-shot’s timing acts as confirmation in again showing my birthday number!

The past couple of weeks of our inter-church men’s Saturday breakfast Bible study have covered 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22, especially vv 19-20 in view of unfamiliarity with its deep significance (except for yours truly): ‘Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.’
Also, events generated debate on our group’s online discussion WApp on whether or not President Trump is a Christian and, if so, asking about consequential fruit. Hence, my pointing out and updating my research into his heart for the Kingdom. I’d presented a ‘first fruit’ and collected a ‘bunch’ of similar and on Thursday intended blogging on it but got diverted into debate of his handling of the Ukraine situation. So, now let’s look at some Christian ‘fruit’ on Donald Trump’s ‘tree’, some of which is also hanging from this blog’s Telegram and on Richard’s Watch Prophecy Validations.
My mulling upon this morning’s first online event led into a blessing yet to come for my draft of this post. That is, after BibleGateway Verse of The Day:
‘In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.’ (Hebrews 1:1-2 NIV)
As blogged last week, the Lord’s ‘Anonymous Messenger’ brings further information to my series researching ‘Trump’s Heart for God’s Kingdom’ launched during the 2020 presidential election (see Footnote), and as in section 7 of the Urgent Warning:

Trump is pro-Bible and prayer and promotes both openly and was openly prayed for during election – how many other influential world leaders can you name that are like that?
The witches in America united to try and stop him being elected. If the ministers of Satan tried their very best to stop him – then putting aside bias and using common-sense will tell you this man must represent some sort of Godly threat to them.
Iran tried to assassinate him. The home and greatest exporter of global terrorism desperately wanted him dead. If the witches and the greatest exporters of the wickedness of terrorism wanted him dead – that may just indicate there is some form of God-factor to his life…
Trump is hated by the Global Woke Army – another clear indication of the God-factor in his life and was fully explained in the previous section. The list of woke celebs, including people who are more evil than he has ever been, should be another indication that was not the side to support.
Trump survived the most miraculous assassination attempt. Not once but several attempts. Even atheists went on to say it was miraculous. The crucial question is this – who saved Trump’s life by making him turn his head and avoid death by millimeters? Remember there is no such thing as “luck” if you’re a Christian – if you claim it was “luck” over God’s sovereignty then your whole faith is on a faulty foundation. The only reasonable conclusion is God – even Trump said God protected him! So why is God saving such a supposed “wicked man” as claimed by Trump-haters? Maybe God sees Trump differently from you and has a purpose for him.
Trump’s historic landslide re-election. Despite all the opposition, assassination attempts, media bias, court cases etc he still won by a complete landslide. Do you really think it is possible he survived all of that without the hand of God?
[I understand Trump’s goal is to move federal government away from Washington D.C. thus decentralising power to individual States on behalf of their citizens and abortion policies will be decided at State level.]
11.Anti-Terrorism
After reading today’s Verse I saw this on Saturday Men’s Breakfast Bible study group: “Whatever we may think about Trump, this was a very courageous message to deliver to an Arab audience … long overdue.”
“..The potential of this region has never been greater. 65 percent of its population is under the age of 30. Like all young men and women, they seek great futures to build, great national projects to join, and a place for their families to call home.
But this untapped potential, this tremendous cause for optimism, is held at bay by bloodshed and terror. There can be no coexistence with this violence.
There can be no tolerating it, no accepting it, no excusing it, and no ignoring it.
Every time a terrorist murders an innocent person, and falsely invokes the name of God, it should be an insult to every person of faith.
Terrorists do not worship God, they worship death.
If we do not act against this organized terror, then we know what will happen. Terrorism’s devastation of life will continue to spread. Peaceful societies will become engulfed by violence. And the futures of many generations will be sadly squandered.
If we do not stand in uniform condemnation of this killing—then not only will we be judged by our people, not only will we be judged by history, but we will be judged by God.
This is not a battle between different faiths, different sects, or different civilizations.
This is a battle between barbaric criminals who seek to obliterate human life, and decent people of all religions who seek to protect it.
This is a battle between Good and Evil.”
It makes a noteworthy contrast to Obama’s Cairo Speech to the Muslim world given under his condition that leaders of the proscribed Muslim Brotherhood should attend, and by which he began to receive the opprobrium of the Egyptian and Saudi leaders. ISRAEL IN THE END TIMES
Background
At its opening, the Bible quickly moves to the fall of man, brought about by satan’s lies and trickery. Then follows God’s sovereign selection of Abraham and his descendants, as His chosen people, and His everlasting covenant with them. The Bible continues with how the Jews became established in Israel, and the story of their triumphs, failures, trials and tribulations. The Old Testament (OT) prophets predicted the First Coming of Jesus and the events of His life, death and resurrection. The New Testament (NT) describes how Jesus accurately fulfilled those OT prophecies. The NT provides details about the work of the apostles and disciples in spreading the Gospel, evangelising Gentiles and establishing churches.
At its close, the Bible describes a time of great tribulation, before Jesus returns and satan is defeated.
All the prophecies relating to the First Coming of Jesus were fulfilled. That is miraculous (supernatural) and has huge implications for our appreciation of the many prophecies concerning the Second Coming of Jesus. If the “First Coming” prophecies have been fulfilled, we can be certain that prophecies concerning his Second Coming will also be fulfilled.
The Significance of Israel
One of the key events predicted in both the OT and NT, is the restoration of the Nation of Israel. Jesus said that this would be a sign of the times, i.e., of the End Times, the climax of history. The events surrounding and following the restoration of the Nation of Israel, and the return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland in 1948, were accurately prophesied in extraordinary detail in many scriptures, written thousands of years before the events took place. In reality, the 1948 restoration was a response to the “never again” cry after the Holocaust. However, it transpires that “never again” did not mean the Jews would never again be persecuted. What it does mean is that the Jews have determined that never again will they be led to their
slaughter like unsuspecting sheep!
The endurance of Jewish customs, practices and traditions, which they maintained whilst scattered throughout the world for nearly nineteen hundred years, is an
incredible phenomenon. It is, quite frankly, a mystery and a miracle that the Jewish people and their national identity survived. Since 1948 they have, with God’s help, successfully defended their Nation from several attacks by seemingly much more
powerful enemies. Now, in 2024, they are again fighting for their survival.
Why Israel Has to Survive
Why has Israel survived, and why must it survive? The answer, in part, to this vital question can be found in the oft neglected NT chapters 9 to 11 of Romans, which focus on the importance of the Jewish people. The author, the Apostle Paul, was himself Jewish and loved the Jewish people, longing for them to see what he had come to understand – that Jesus is the Son of God and their Messiah. He hoped and prayed that the Gentiles in the churches he founded would recognise and understand that the Jewish ancestry of Jesus, and the history of the Nation of Israel, are foundational and essential elements to the Christian faith.
It is to this history and destiny that the Apostle Paul refers in Romans 9-11. Paul points out that the Jewish people are God’s chosen people. They are the nation whom the Father adopted out of His great love. And although Israel appears to have failed to fulfil its destiny, that does not mean that God has in any way decreed that His adoption of Israel is null and void. As far as Paul is concerned, once adopted, always adopted. God has made an everlasting covenant with His people Israel. The church has not replaced Israel.
By God’s grace, Gentile believers in Jesus are like wild olive branches that have been grafted into the cultivated olive tree – a tree made up of faith-filled Israelites since the time of Abraham. Gentile believers are now a part of faithful Israel’s story. Indeed, we cannot and must not separate ourselves from that story.
In this time of grace, the Gentiles can hear and respond to the Good News about Jesus and come to enjoy the blessings of the promises given to Israel, not least the promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Paul speaks about a time when the Jewish people – his own people – will no longer be blinded by their unbelief about Jesus. Vast numbers will see the Deliverer from Zion (Jesus). The veil will be lifted from their understanding and they will then know that Jesus is their Messiah. As Paul prophesies in Romans 11:26: “All Israel will be saved.” Jews will come to believe in Jesus in such numbers that we will be able to say that the nation of Israel as a whole has been saved.
In summary: there is a time-frame in which,
(a) the Gospel is preached primarily to those who are not Jewish “until the full number of the Gentiles has come in”; i.e, until the number of non-Jews who confess Jesus as Lord is complete. That number, and the date when it will be reached, is known only in heaven.
(b) Until that time, there is a remnant of faithful Jews who are chosen by grace (Romans 11:5); these are Jewish people who have chosen, like Paul, to confess that Jesus is Messiah and Lord. When the full number of Gentiles has come in, Paul was certain that circumstances will be such that the Jewish remnant will turn from godlessness and
look upon the one whom they pierced and weep in repentance. There will be a great move of the Holy Spirit among the Jewish people – so great that we will be able to
joyfully declare the fulfilment of the prophecy: “All Israel will be saved!”
The Devil’s Rage
Hopefully you can see why the Jewish people had to survive. In spite of being exiled from the Land that was promised to them by Almighty God, in spite of expulsions
from other alien lands that they inhabited thereafter, in spite of periods of intense and violent persecution in many different places over thousands of years, in spite of the “Final Solution”, the appalling, demonic onslaught of the Holocaust (Hitler’s murder of 6 million Jews, in his attempt to obliterate them), the Jewish people have survived!
And, as already discussed, three years after the end of the Holocaust, part of the Promised Land was miraculously restored to the Jewish people: Israel was re-established as a nation, and Jews have returned from dispersion (the Diaspora).
Why has this enduring vindictiveness been so intense? Because satan knows what the Bible says, albeit he is blinded to the reality that he cannot win. He has been desperate to prevent or postpone the establishment of appropriate (prophesied)
conditions for the Second Coming. That is why the Jewish people have been subjected to sustained attempts by the forces of evil to wipe them out.
How it must torment and anger satan that the Jewish people have, against all the odds, survived his various onslaughts. Furthermore, satan’s seeming successes have proved to be failures. How he must have wailed when Jesus rose from the dead. How he must have wept when Israel was restored as a nation in 1948. And, above all, how he must be howling today as this tiny Nation is so vigorously and effectively responding to demonic atrocities perpetrated by Hamas and built on by Iran and its other proxies.
The End-Game
Satan is now provoking unprecedented world-wide genocidal hatred of the Jews. Many of the world’s leaders, and millions of people supporting the “Palestinian cause”, cannot see, or refuse to accept (are denying the truth), that a fundamental tenet of radical Islam is the destruction of Israel and the extermination of all Jews. Radical and apocalyptic Muslims see “ethnic cleansing” of Jews as a religious duty. Any compromise or appeasement with such blood thirsty and diabolical fanatics, however tempting the short-term gains may appear, would lead to disaster.
Satan is continuing his endeavours to ensure that there is no Nation of Israel to which Jesus can return. Things are getting ever more intense and chaotic, and satan certainly appears to be succeeding in rallying the world against the Jews. However, it is clear from Biblical prophecy that God foreknew the things we are witnessing. He has given us all the information we need to read the “signs of the times” and to stand firm in the knowledge that Victory is assured. Our certain hope is in the truth of the Word of God: He will deal with the enemies that surround Israel (Zechariah 12) and Jesus will return (Matthew 24, Revelation 1 et al), and He will take His throne in Jerusalem, as King of Israel; albeit there will only be a remnant of the Jewish people (Zechariah 13:8-10).
I’m very pleased to read David Reagan, founder of Lion & Lamb Ministries, takes the same posture in his insights into Zechariah’s prophecies about Israel and other nations, and most importantly on the ancient and modern history of Jews in their homeland. Note the start and close of his opening observations to his 5-page article, followed by sub-heads and few extracts (underscoring added)
‘On Friday morning, September 27, I saw Bible prophecy being fulfilled before my very eyes as I watched Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on television address the General Assembly of the United Nations. It happened as he approached the podium to deliver his address. As he walked forward, two-thirds of the delegates got up from their seats and walked out. Netanyahu was left with an almost empty auditorium to speak to.
The specific Bible prophecy this event reminded me of was written by the Hebrew prophet Zechariah 2,500 years ago. How can this be explained?’
A Spiritual Anomaly

I would contend that it proves that God is faithful to keep all His promises, and that is a very important message for the Church, for God has made a lot of promises to us.
He has promised that at any moment, Jesus is going to appear in the heavens to take His Church — both the living and the dead — out of this world. Then, while He pours out His wrath on an evil and unbelieving world in the Tribulation, believers in Heaven will receive rewards for how they used their spiritual gifts to advance the Lord’s kingdom. After all the rewards have been distributed, we will enjoy the greatest feast in the history of the cosmos — the wedding feat of the Lamb, when the Bride of Christ (His Church) celebrates its union with the Bridegroom (Jesus).
When that feast is concluded, we will return to earth with Jesus and will witness His destruction of the Antichrist and his forces, after which we will celebrate His coronation as King of kings and Lord of lords. Believing Jews will serve in his government in Jerusalem. Glorified Gentiles will be distributed worldwide to reign over those in the flesh (those saved during the Tribulation and who live to the end of it). We will have the privilege of witnessing the world enveloped in peace, righteousness, and justice as the waters cover the sea.
And at the end of the Lord’s thousand-year reign, we will live forever in our new, eternal bodies in a New Jerusalem on and New Earth in the presence of our Creator and Jesus. Maranatha! (1 Corinthians 16:22).’

A brief note further to my email on the debate on Replacement Theology. There is news from two separate sources that the Lord may be drawing this issue to the fore.
The first is found via a comment to the debate. In recent years liberal seminaries have strongly encouraged a new, non-Biblical, Palestinian form of theology through the works of Lutheran pastor Mitri Raheb and Anglican Naim Ateek.
‘The interviewer asked, “So can you promise another October 7?” The interviewer was referring to the Hamas attack on Israeli villages on that date in which 1,200 Israeli civilians were slaughtered.
Osama Hamdan, the Hamas official, responded, “I can promise that a war of liberation is coming, not just another October 7.” The interviewer then asked when this war might occur. Hamdan then said, “I do not think it is far off.”
Later, he opines:
‘Now, in light of the coming Second Signpost, and the possible Psalm 83 war to occur in parallel, we must consider that this “war of liberation” IS the Psalm 83 war.’
ON TARGET: this latest of my friend Neil Mackereth drew enemy flak whilst he was writing. In its Introduction he refers to his paper of 2021 published God-incidentally as Wow-Wotta-Wednesday: Know Our Enemy’s Strategy along with my 3,000th post – Satan Has Limited Power, by Veronika West together with a related vision.
THEREFORE, I urge my readers to weigh and pray carefully:
THE ADVERSARY
Introduction
A couple of years ago I wrote an article entitled “Know Your Enemy” in which I considered some of Satan’s tactics in striving to fulfil his grand strategy of thwarting God’s plan for the redemption of mankind. At that time my focus was on Satan’s endeavours to destroy Israel and to introduce a new world order.
Since then, things have taken a turn for the worse. A great darkness has come upon the Earth and Satan is intensifying his efforts to destroy Israel and the Jewish people.
In this article I ask: Who is Satan and why is he opposed to mankind in general, and Israel in particular?
Answering these questions requires some speculation. The comments that follow do not have full scriptural authority and should be treated with caution!
Satan
In Hebrew the word “satan” means adversary. Satan has come to be used as the name for a fallen angel who rebelled against God and sought to take God’s throne for himself. The Bible gives little information about Satan’s origins and downfall. In Isaiah and Ezekiel there are references to the fall of the “morning star”, translated as Lucifer, which some interpret as referring to Satan, while others suggest it relates to the King of Babylon.
There has been much conjecture and many hypotheses over the centuries: some suggest Satan was a very powerful (perhaps the most powerful) angel and his pride and jealousy led him to rebel against God’s decision to create man (I have not found a scriptural foundation for this theory).
Another suggestion for Satan’s existence is that God, in creating man, wanted us to have freedom of choice, i.e. not be automatons. In order to have freedom of choice (i.e. the option to choose to love, follow and obey God) an alternative has to exist! God gives us all the information we need in order to make an informed choice about the gospel of God and the reality of Jesus as our Messiah. The gospel of God will continue to be preached for as long as God ordains, and during that time, Satan is permitted to roam the Earth (has a legal right?). Again, though some aspects of this theory can be inferred (e.g., from Job), there is no clear scriptural confirmation.
Perhaps Satan’s most significant advantage is that many people do not believe he exists! His and his henchmen’s depiction, particularly at Halloween, as some sort of demonic cartoon characters, has encouraged the view that the devil and his demons are figures of fun; a mythical oddity of no significance to 21st Century man.
However, we can see from Scripture that Jesus took Satan very seriously and even though Satan’s destiny is clear, in the meantime he and his demons will make every effort to undermine God’s plan.
Satan’s Ploys
Satan knows what the Bible says and that the book of Revelation shows that Jesus will return to Jerusalem to take His rightful place on the throne of David, as King of the Jews. He will rule His people and the world from Jerusalem.
Throughout history, Satan has been attempting to prevent the fulfilment of God’s plans. Satan appears to believe that, if he is successful, his eventual banishment to “the lake of burning sulphur” (Revelation 20:10) will not happen. His ploys include:
1. Tempting Adam and Eve (and hence mankind) to sin and fall from God’s grace
2. Seeking to have the baby Jesus killed
3. Tempting Jesus to sin and so become unworthy as Saviour
4. Seeking to destroy Jesus
5. Dispersing the Jews to fragment and destabilise their national identity and/or;
6. Destroying all Jews so that Jesus has no Jewish Kingdom over which to rule and reign;
7. Preventing the re-establishment of a Jewish nation state (Israel) and/or
8. Destroying Israel or Jerusalem, or dividing Jerusalem to ensure areas, particularly the Temple Mount, remain under the control of Muslims
Satan tried the first and seemed to be successful; however, God instigated plan B (or was it always plan A – God is omniscient!). The second ploy was thwarted and the third robustly rebutted by Jesus. Satan appeared to have achieved his goal with the crucifixion, but apparent victory turned to spectacular defeat when Jesus rose from the dead. The fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth ploys have been ongoing throughout history, with varying degrees of success.
However, I want to emphasise the miracle of the preservation of Jewish identity and traditions, over thousands of years, and the huge significance of the re-establishment of Israel as a nation state in 1948; and the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967.
Nevertheless, the Temple Mount remains in the hands of gentiles. Zechariah 1:14-16 may be a “model” for the present situation on the Temple Mount: “Proclaim this word: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion,and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’ “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty.” (See Addenda below for detail)
What is the Point?
The point is that “the devil roams around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”. Hamas is the embodiment of that image of Satan, roaming around to devour people. It is imperative that Christians follow events carefully, seek to understand what is happening from a spiritual perspective and encourage their governments to support Israel.
Addenda: Comments on The Temple Mount
The Temple Mount warrants closer examination. The Jews, or more accurately those practicing Judaism, consider the Temple Mount to be the place where God chose to manifest His divine presence (Isaiah 8:18, Psalm 9:11). There has been much confusion about whether the Temple Mount is on Mount Zion.
From 2 Samuel 5:6-9 it is clear that Mount Zion was a fortress that King David captured from the Jebusites. He renamed it City of David and developed and expanded the site. The scope of the City of David can be seen from modern day archaeological excavations. King David’s son and successor, King Solomon, built the first Temple on Mount Moriah (2 Chronicles 3:1-2) in 957 BC. Mount Moriah is probably synonymous with what we now call the Temple Mount, though its exact location has not been confirmed.
It seems that with the building of the Temple the term “Zion” was expanded to include the Mount and subsequently the whole of Jerusalem and the people of Israel (hence Zionism and Zionists). This collective term can be seen in Isaiah 40:9, Jeremiah 31:12 and Zechariah 9:13. The first Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BC.
Zion became a term used for the people of God (Isaiah 60:14) and this theme continues through the New Testament (Hebrews 12:22; Revelation 14:1). Peter refers to Jesus as the ‘Cornerstone of Zion’ (1 Peter 2:4-6).
The second Temple was built, under the direction of Zerubbabel, in 516 BC and destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Jewish tradition maintains that there will be a third Temple on the Temple Mount and that its design has been prophesied in Ezekiel 40 to 47.
Sunni Muslims consider the Mount to be the “Noble Sanctuary”, the third most holy site in Islam. It is revered as the location to which Mohammad was transported for his ascent to Heaven. The Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque were built on the Mount after the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem in 637 AD. The Dome of the Rock, completed in 692 AD, is in the middle of the Temple Mount, on the site where many (but not all!) Biblical scholars believe the Third Temple should be built.
The question remains, why is the Temple Mount still under Muslim control?
In 1967, the Jordanians, with the help of Syria and Egypt, attacked Israel. Prior to the 1967 “Six-Day War” Jordan controlled East Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, and the West Bank. Israel’s armed forces defeated the attack and occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
In the aftermath of the war Israel agreed the return of the control of the Temple Mount to the Islamic Waqf (guardians of Muslim holy sites). This gesture has not led to peace and reconciliation! The Temple Mount is an enclave within Israeli controlled Jerusalem. The Muslims have been granted authority to manage the Temple Mount in accordance with their traditions, while Israel continues to have technical control of the site and monitor access. To add to the confusion, the Palestinian Authority claims sovereignty over the Temple Mount.
In Summary:
Zion was the fortress that King David captured from the Jebusites. He renamed it City of David. It is thought that the location of Zion expanded to include the Temple Mount, and subsequently Jerusalem and the people of Israel. Following the destruction of Jerusalem the name Mount Zion was transferred to its present location across the valley to the south of the walled city. While the physical location of Zion may have changed over the years, the spiritual relevance has remained constant.
The Temple Mount is almost certainly the most contested religious site in the world. There can be little doubt that Jerusalem is different and, considering its size and location, it is truly amazing how significant it is in world affairs! It is the focal point of End-times prophecy and, as mentioned above, it is imperative that we keep a close watch on all information relating to events in Israel and Jerusalem. Finally, the literalist view is that the building of the Third Temple is a major prerequisite for progress (the next step?) along the prophetic time-line of the Bible story.
After 44 postings (click tag to scroll them) on the BBC during which I gave it a more suitable title ‘Brainwashing Britons Cult’ when watching exposures of political rot in UK and USA, at long last there’s now a press focus upon the corporation’s blatant anti-Semitism. (It’s anti-Christian too!)
Later I discovered helpful, informative websites Honest Reporting (see The picture that began it all in Sept 2000) and BBC Watch, which issued frequent in-depth scrutiny of its abysmal, journalism – as in this from exactly 11 years ago on 29th November 2012:
BBC Watch has since merged with Committee for Accuracy in Middle-East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA), founded in 1982. Another valuable analytical site located in Israel is the Middle-East Research Institute (MEMRI) with its trove of translations from all publications in that region. Particularly noteworthy is CAMERA’s monitoring of not only media inaccuracies but also UK branch’s statistics of Palestinian casualties this year.
In those years I regularly read ‘ne plus ultra’ Caroline Glick who served ‘1994-96, as an IDF captain in the Defense Ministry as a core member of Israel’s negotiating team with the Palestinians’and ‘1997-98 as Assistant Foreign Policy Advisor to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’.

First, the blocking of a highly qualified, invited consultant from giving a valuable contribution to a BBC presenter:
“I had been watching the coverage that evening already in disbelief. I explained that now, more than ever, the channel needed me on to provide balance. There was a desperate need to keep to the BBC’s commitments of due accuracy and impartiality. I had already seen many online reports that the incident had occurred in the context of a barrage of rockets from Gaza towards Israeli civilian communities. The BBC’s line simply didn’t add up. ”
[Extract, emphases mine] ‘All of that is now over: Foreign Office orthodoxy is back with a vengeance. Lord Cameron’s first interview – with the BBC, appropriately – was hugely disappointing. He claimed the number of casualties in Gaza was “too high”, implicitly blaming Israel rather than Hamas, and accepting the terrorists’ propaganda at face value, by failing to realise that many fatalities are Hamas fighters and somehow forgetting that they use civilians as human shields.
The war would end were Hamas to unconditionally surrender and release all the hostages – why didn’t Cameron ask for that, rather than stating, insultingly, that he “stressed over and over again that [Israel] must abide by international humanitarian law”? Can’t he see that Israel is doing more than any other country to follow the rules of war, and that it is succeeding to an almost superhuman degree? Is the FCDO trying to harmonise British policy with that of Emmanuel Macron and other anti-Israel European powers?’
