My long-time, End-times friend Neil Mackereth emailed me this morning with an attachment of his thoughts, all as below:

PROPAGANDA –> MANIPULATION –> ENTRAPMENT

INTRODUCTION

When Joe Biden was inaugurated as the 46^th President of the United States of America, a line was crossed: the outlook for the USA and the whole world dramatically altered. There is corruption, disaffection, division and lack of moral leadership on a massive scale in the USA; and a globalist led drift towards totalitarianism. The main-line media has supported the programme of deep state misinformation and encouraged the vilification and entrapment of those who oppose the globalist agenda.

PROPAGANDA

I remember a time when reporters and newscasters could be relied on to report the facts. Over the last 20 years or so, a liberal bias has developed. For a while, opposing views were reported in a reasonably balanced way, but more recently a predisposition towards the liberal agenda has become increasingly apparent. Now, there are many cases where the main-line media don’t even bother to report the counter-argument. On some issues, news broadcasts have become a form of propaganda. Furthermore, it is increasingly common for journalists to insert more of their own opinion into reports which, perhaps unsurprisingly, is invariably in line with the today’s media bias.

It has become de-rigueur, the hallmark of success, for reporters to aggressively bombard and belittle any interviewee whose perception of an issue is not in line with the new normal. A common way of closing down dissent is to accuse the advocates of opposing views of being ‘conspiracy theorists’. This tendency to disparage and ridicule has spread to university campuses and other educational forums where one would expect opposing views to be given a proper platform, for courteous consideration and reasoned debate. Sadly, that no longer happens. We have reached a point where freedom of speech is seriously jeopardised: it is only that which promotes the liberal cause, or denigrates alternative views, that is given air time.

MANIPULATION

Propaganda and manipulation are very closely linked. In Israel, for example, the negative bias has so influenced the story that any event that encourages the anti-Israel line is exaggerated, while that which puts Israel in a good light goes largely unreported. There are parallels here with the way Donald Trump’s successes have been ignored, while the mistakes he has made have been hugely magnified.

The pandemic provides the ideal cover for public acceptance of restrictions that would otherwise be challenged. Furthermore, the economic catastrophe facing the world gives the World Economic Forum the ideal circumstances for the introduction of “The Great Reset”.

ENTRAPMENT

Entrapment follows close on the heels of propaganda and manipulation. I am convinced that there were agent provocateurs, who had infiltrated the crowd and stirred up trouble, at the US Capitol on 6 January. The ease with which security was “breached” could well point to complicity by insiders. If the aim was the entrapment and vilification of President Trump, then it was very successful. It is interesting to note that there has been much speculation on this possibility, and some evidence of deliberate manipulation and distortion of events, on a number of alternative media platforms. Main-stream media has preferred to broadcast only that which agrees with the “deep state” anti-Trump agenda: no other possibilities are countenanced.

Whilst I was working on this paper, the Lord gave me an insight in relation to one way in which Israel will find itself trapped. The constraints that have held Iran in check will soon be loosened by President Biden. To defend its very existence, Israel will feel compelled to make a pre-emptive strike to disable the Iranian uranium enrichment processing facilities, in order to delay the development of a nuclear weapons capability. Israel will then be vilified and demonised by the USA and most of the rest of the world.

WHATEVER NEXT?

The way forward is not easy to determine. Of the various courses that may unfold, I concentrate on two possibilities.

First: the corruption and malfeasance in the election process could be revealed, perhaps during the impeachment procedure, and the election rendered null and void. Whilst this would undoubtedly be a wonderful outcome, and certainly my preferred option, I can’t help thinking that the wickedness is so deeply entrenched, and the propaganda and bias through the media so persuasive and pervasive, that truth is unlikely to prevail, in the short term. These deep state manipulators are the modern time Judas, unwittingly fulfilling their prophesied role. Any delay caused by revelations will be short lived. God’s plans have not been derailed and End Times prophecy will be fulfilled.

Second: another possibility is that we are witnessing the next and vital step (from Satan’s perspective) on the road to the Time of Tribulation. This possibility was addressed, in part, in the 20 questions posed in an earlier paper “Repent, Again I Say Repent”.

We are but a short step away from being an intimidated and indoctrinated population which, for the most part, will readily and gratefully accept a New World Order under a dynamic and charismatic leader. He will appear to have all the necessary attributes to tackle and solve the immense problems facing the world.

CONCLUSION

Whichever way events lead, time is short. We pray for a huge outpouring of the Spirit and a mighty revival. May the conviction of sin and the gift and agony of repentance fall with such power and authority that multitudes commit their lives to Jesus.
