Synod sides with satan – risk of Anglican schism/shaking

Jesus: “ALL authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the Age.” [circa 33 AD, Matt 28: 18-20]

General Synod: “NO, not as it means keeping God’s word on sex and marriage! How dare we insult people with what You say and expect.” [July 2017 AD]

Thus begins the Great Apostasy foretold by the apostle to the Gentiles?

the Day of the Lord will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped…(2Thess 2:3-4)

The great falling away from faith in Christ Jesus has been gaining momentum for years. However, decisions and official declarations by the Church of England’s recent General Synod, the tricameral deliberative and legislative gathering of bishops, clergy and laity, means we could now regard the Great Apostasy as being ‘officially’ under way.

In my humble opinion, this synod may be the pivotal point for the Anglican communion moving into open schism. (We pray Her Majesty, as head of CoE, doesn’t endorse that decision for it would go against the personal witness of her Christmas broadcasts.)

In scriptural terms, the seed sown by satan amongst that sown by Jesus for the global harvest of souls is flowering and so the distinction between that ‘darnel’ and wheat is clearly noticeable. (This Middle-Eastern weed is indistinguishable from real wheat until ripe.) A revelatory “THIS IS ALL ABOUT TO BE FULFILLED” had exploded in my head in 2009 as I searched for that parable – now, it’s about to come true!!

So, satan’s stooges beware! Sincerely repent, renounce and denounce satan and all its works. Turn from your wicked ways because Jesus’ harvesting angels will soon gather and burn you like rubbish before gathering the wheat of righteous souls for safe storage in His ‘barn’.

Many, many other scriptures spring to mind on this fundamental issue, especially where Jesus clearly implies not all Christians will go to heaven! HUH!!  We can’t choose our preferred ‘broad’ way when He instructs us to,

“Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. How narrow is the gate and confined is the way that leads to life, and there are few that find it…

“Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.

“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name and done many wonders in Your name?’

“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me you who practise lawlessness!’.”(Matthew 6:13-14 and 21-23)

There’s also the Apostles’ teachings, especially the revelation Paul received and told his protege Timothy:

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared by a hot iron…” (1Tim 4:1-2)

WHAT’S HAPPENED?

The preceding was drafted last Thursday but withheld as the word John Kilpatrick gave about The Shaking of earth and heavens took precedence. Developments have since confirmed the necessity of its publication, so I’ll now finish and publish together with a pertinent re-blog.

I was following events as monitored by Revd Dr Gavin Ashden, Christian Legal Centre CEO Andrea William’s contre-temps in the Synod with the Archbishop of York, as well as scathing material on their highly dubious aspects by politico-religious blogger Adrian Hilton and associates/readers at ‘Archbishop Cranmer’, viz:

** As well as the above post’s excellent insights, Gavin Ashenden writes in-depth on this matter in Sin At Synod – How The Church Forebad Forgiveness, and I will re-blog his coverage of a media report on the Synod next.

SOME REACTIONS

In deep disgust ‘Cranmer’ pens a satirical item over Synod’s endorsement of a motion that Conversion Therapy (aimed at altering sexual orientation) be banned. In fact, he disparagingly implies Synod should go the whole hog, or as in my above title support satan’s aims, and rewrites its formal announcement (providing link thereto).:

Church of England Votes to Ban Religious Conversion:  ‘The…General Synod has backed a motion calling for a ban on the practice of Religious Conversion, aimed at altering a person’s religious orientation.

‘Members of the Church’s national assembly, which is holding its annual July sessions in York, voted to endorse a Memorandum of Understanding on Religious Conversion, signed by The Christian ‘Truth is One’ School of Universal Reconciliation and others condemning the practice….

The full motion agreed was: That this Synod: (a) endorse the Memorandum of Understanding on Religious Conversion in the UK of November 2015, signed by The Christian ‘Truth is One’ School of Universal Reconciliation and others, that the practice of Religious Conversion has no place in the modern world, is unethical, potentially harmful and not supported by evidence; and 3 (b) call upon the Church to be sensitive to, and to listen to, contemporary and diverse expressions of religious identity; (c) and call on the government to ban the practice of religious proselytism.’

[Definition: Conversion of, or attempt to convert, (someone) from one religion, belief, or opinion to another – Advocacy or promotion (a belief or course of action).]

Christian Concern took exception to the events, reporting Archbishop of York rejects the authority of the Bible and the teaching of the Church.:

‘During General Synod, Andrea Williams [of ‘House of Laity’] proposed an amendment inserting the words “as revealed in the Bible and the taught by the church” to a motion calling for politicians to “prioritise the common good of all people.”

‘Andrea spoke on the need for the Bible to inform our understanding of the common good. She also proposed another amendment to the motion calling for the protection of life, the promotion of marriage and family and the maintaining of Christian freedoms.

‘Both amendments were rejected by Synod, with the Archbishop of York John Sentamu replying: “If you’re going to serve the whole community please don’t limit our language…The Word became flesh and sadly we are now making it Word, Word and Word again. Resist the amendments.”

PERSONAL MUSINGS:

In mulling over these issues from the possible perspective of the Lord calling the CofE out of its ‘Lazarus grave’ (see 2014 post), a revivified church would be very different to what it was like and living as a very sick, terminally ill entity. This Synod could be part of what I foresaw 10 years previously of a rending of society’s rotten fabric as the Rock of Christ emerges for disciples to take a stand upon Him (as here).

That would mean a separation of righteous out of unclean: “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord” (2Cor 6:17), not an excommunication of heretics but a full-blown schism. Unless that is, Matthew 13’s parable is enacted beforehand by the physical removal of satan’s ‘plants’, or the Lord brings another Sovereign shaking!

Such ‘meanderings’ have since received confirmation through a prophetic word brought by Bill Jennings, published by UK Prophetic Words (and now posted as Shaking and Rebuilding the Church in the UK).

First, however; it’s important that readers be aware of the gravity of this situation; hence this overview. Next, we’ll examine how Synod’s and Parliamentarians’ actions fulfill End-times prophetic details given by Jesus and His apostle Paul…

  1. Richard this is awful, but not entirely unexpected. My heart too goes out to the Queen, it must have been awful enough when her Government lied before getting into power about they had no same sex marriage agenda and Cameron showed his true colours and was found to have been lying through his back teeth.

  2. I’m going to stick my head above the parapet here and say I think God has been using the world to drag the Church into line with his will on this issue. More and more I read and hear stories of how people, like me, have had their minds changed on this issue simply through prayer (including a friend of mine who was so “anti” I would never have thought would change his mind). I’m not saying this to persuade anyone, just in the interests of openness or whatever.

Time will tell I suppose. One other thing I do feel convinced of is that we give this subject far, far more importance than God does (how often does it appear explicitly in the prophecies on this site?)

    • Hi Jonathan – I ‘like’ and honour your candour and am pleased you’re able to share your thoughts here. Allow me to respond:
First, the change from criminal status of LGBT activity and from its judgmentalism and condemnation by Christians is welcome and reflects Jesus’ compassion. Nevertheless, like Him we too are to love every sinner but hate their sin. (Claiming ‘misplaced’ sexual activities are not sin is a lie and we thus call God a liar and equate Him with satan, and make ourselves unable to receive His Word, Jesus! – per 1 John 1:8-10.)

The responsibility for this error lies with churches failing to teach about sex being spiritual, soul ties, personal and generational sin, repentance and renunciation of all demonic rights in our lives (they‘re intelligent, hence refc to ‘demonic doctrines’!), deliverance ministry. Were believers properly taught about satan’s strategy in our battle we wouldn’t be in such a mess.
Therefore, all prophecy and prayer purporting to be from the Lord needs to be weighed against His Holy Word, because those who haven’t got cleaned out get misled.

I doubt the stories you quote are genuinely of Him. On Thurs our vicar referred to such a man who saw Father pull him out of deep mud to put him on His knee. The next morning he awoke completely clean and free from his sinful habits (matches my experiences in being cleansed from deeply occult activity – have you read my testimony “Am FREE!”? )

I disagree with your very mistaken remark on the Lord using the world to get church into line!!! You haven’t got a sound grasp of scripture and I refer you to a few of many verses on that matter: NIV’s Romans 12:1-2, James 1:27 and to Titus 2:12-13 especially.

Your closing para is mistaken too. Father ordained and made marriage between man and woman as holy; and sent Jesus to cleanse us from ALL our sins and thus be reconciled to Him. So sexuality really is important to God. You may have missed the prophecy published before your comment but which does, in fact, cover this very topic! (In order to encourage my readers I publish only a small selection of prophetic words on judgement of nations; also because the Lord’s working to bring His glory into disciples so the church moves into its proper full functioning.)

Jonathan, hope you don’t see this as being too critical. Now and again I’ve debated this matter elsewhere but found it’s unfruitful because others are unwilling to be ‘CROPS’ (ie. to Confess, Repent Of Personal Sins); so I don’t want to debate it in depth on this blog but trust you may find this helpful in some small way.

      • Thanks Richard for those thoughtful and gracious words. As you say this can always become a very long discussion but perhaps I can make two points relating to what you’ve said, one of which I’ve just discovered and the other is just clarifying what I was trying to say:

Firstly that surviving literature from the first centuries after Jesus shows that the early church in general didn’t have at all the “anti” outlook on homosexuality that the church does now (though some individuals did). In fact it changed its view slowly from around 400, very much following the views of the pagan world around it, which had become very hostile to any kind of sexual deviancy. In fact there was a time early on when Christians were much criticised by pagans for allowing gay sex! So one way or another the church has followed, or is following, the world on this matter.

Secondly – I don’t want to give the impression this isn’t an important issue, but rather that we are wrong to use it as a way of judging the reality of people’s faith. I think particularly of one of “your” prophecies from New Zealand where the man giving the prophecy felt God say an earthquake was his judgement – and the man’s first thought was that it was to do with some recent pro-gay legislation. But God said no, it was to do with some action the NZ government had taken that damaged Israel in some way. I really wonder how many current Western Christians would have guessed “Israel” in preference to “homosexuality”! And yet the peace of Jerusalem, the welfare of God’s people, are constant themes throughout the Bible, and homosexuality certainly isn’t. That’s all I mean, really, about us not having God’s perspective, and about it therefore being dangerous ground to judge others on.

Ok sorry to go on. Finish!

        • Thanks Jonathan, and we agree about the Lord’s priority!

On your first, clergy have Church-long history of failing to be true disciples and Jesus’ own letters to the seven early churches clearly show He wants them to be free of sexual sins. (It’s Jezebel spirit’s special domain and all demons want to inhabit flesh – even that of pigs rather than none!)

Maybe you’ve read Steve Chalk on this topic? In his rebuttal Gavin Ashenden reminds us of God’s purpose for mankind through Israel (see ‘Biblical Narrative’ in https://ashenden.org/2017/07/19/gay-love-roman-decadence-christian-virtue-a-response-to-steve-chalke/). However, I think he should have then referred to the Roman Church’s refusal to follow the Hebraic mindset as being a major factor in our modern lack of clarity over this significant issue in our salvation. (Staunchly pro-gay for 15 years he became hated for changing his stance – see https://ashenden.org/2017/07/14/hashtag-hate-redefining-hate-from-diabolical-anti-love-to-any-criticism-of-the-fragile-self/)

          • I haven’t actually really read very much on the topic – or rather I’ve read quite a bit of “anti” stuff but very little pro. A couple of friends of mine whose judgement I trust have said disparaging things about Steve Chalke so I fear I haven’t bothered to read anything of his at all!

Could I perhaps also thank (and congratulate) you on creating an online environment here where I have felt like I can say these things without fearing some very aggressive response. Sadly all too rare. I certainly wouldn’t dare do it on the Cranmer site, for example!
