We stay on the current topic to:

• expand upon previous posts on apostasy
• consider its direct relevance to the UK Parliament
• examine two End-times prophecies and their context
• review how satanic strategy is engineering a work-around.

I humbly submit this material as an outcome of the prophecy spoken over me soon after launching this blog, as at the close of Why Write/blog?  This is only the second time I’ve referred to that specific gifting and I offer this 2-part post for weighing by my brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ.:

THE DAY OF THE LORD

The issues are opened up in Synod Sides With satan – Risks Anglican Schism/Shaking and their import is outlined in re-published extract On The Great Apostasy & Deception; wherein I write about Apostle Paul’s letter informing the early church what’s destined to happen before The Day of The Lord and Jesus’ return to earth.

The prime prophetical point is unequivocally stated at 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 – ‘that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped…’

The Bible’s first reference to ‘The Day of The Lord’ was uttered circa 585 BC by prophet Obadiah in connection with the vengeance God would bring upon the Edomites in view of their hatred for their distant relatives and in aiding the Babylonian attack against them and desecrating Jerusalem and taking the Jewish people into captivity. This word of the Lord is soon fulfilled in Edom’s disappearance. Obadiah’s scroll is the shortest in the OT but its closing verses prophesy Israel’s final triumph in not only returning home but also in its eschatalogical significance for ‘the day of the Lord’; a season of divine justice and judgement of ALL nations around Israel, viz:

‘For the day of the LORD upon all nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head. For as you drank on My holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink continually…and they shall be as though they had never existed.’ (Obadiah 15-16)

It’s important not to overlook the fact that in quoting Isaiah 61 as His ‘mission statement’ Jesus opened that synagogue scroll and quoted the first verse only, and then stopped (Luke 4:16-21). The Spirit of the Lord God was upon and anointed Him to preach the Good News, to heal the broken-hearted and bring release for those bound as though imprisoned. That was the purpose of His First Advent, but the subsequent verses allude to the anointing also continuing in His Second Advent, namely:

“To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God…”

ANGLICAN ‘SEX-SIN-NOD’

The above post offered my opinion that the apostate nature of July’s General Synod of the Church of England, especially the Archbishop of York’s actions, marked a tipping point of Anglican apostasy because of its authoritative role in that church’s legislative affairs. Also, it would engender schismatic action!

The Sin-nod’s activities and declarations in the spiritual battle between the revealed will of God and today’s cultural values fell in favour the latter – exceptionally unwise! It is Revelation vs. Revolution – spiritual understanding and obedience versus the radical, progressive liberalism (ie humanism) now prevalent within establishment circles.

Moreover, ‘Synod-chasing’ announcements made by those in political authority suggest satan is making a ‘test run’ with that third verse of Paul’s letter!

Not only does July’s ‘Sin-nod’ in York fulfill that particular End-times prophecy by falling away from clear, unequivocal faith in Jesus Christ and His Word, but it also fulfills what the Holy Spirit had told Paul (at 1 Tim 4:1-2) as shown by its members holding Jesus in contempt by their hostility to their brethren and thus disobeying His command to love one another and be in complete unity. The holy Name above all Names, Jesus Christ, is thus brought into disrepute through hatred, unforgiveness and bitterness of those who condemn fellow believers.

In doing so they serve satan in preventing the purpose of Jesus’ prayer-directive – that is, “so the world may know the Father sent me”, and that He loves all disciples as much as He does Jesus (John 17:23). What’s more, their Master tells them not to judge and condemn one another!! (Matthew 7:1-5).

[On that, Bill Johnson and his associated Revival Alliance of the Arnotts, Ahns, Bakers, Banovs and Clarks bring excellent teaching on honouring all brethren in the Lord. Small wonder that many minsters of various denominations visit Bethel in California and study there and return to influence their churches for the better.]

Previously a staunch supporter of LGBT rights, Revd Gavin Ashenden knows hatred in the hands of supposed Christians and others, as divulged in his Redefining Hate – Truth is the new “Hate Speech”.

A letter published in last week’s Telegraph signed by him and 22 traditional Anglicans expresses deep disquiet over the General Synod’s actions in denying biblical ethics as understood and practised “at all places and in all times”, as well as over “booing of traditionalists and the levels of personal abuse aimed at them during the General Synod (which) has only deepened mistrust between the different sides” !!!

Also that day, Gavin mentions in a video blog (Fractures in the CofE) that Archbishop Welby got several signatories to withdraw their names (original listing was 30). However, an evangelical church in Hull has called on the Archbishop of York to repent of the words he used and the attitude he showed during General Synod. Also, unless he makes a public act of contrition they will turn the finance off. As announced in my later post, that PCC has published an Open Letter: Call to the Archbishop of York for Repentance. Gavin thinks this may be a work of the Holy Spirit and says the Anglican church doesn’t like being held accountable for its theology nor having the taps turned off!

More behind-the-scenes data is given in this week’s edition of that ‘over-the-Pond’ video chat in which he reveals the Times had promised to publish the letter first but refused at the last minute. So Gavin’s group suspected Lambeth Palace had leaned on the Times letter’s editor.

“Indeed”, says he, “The very next day the Times ran an article by the Bishop of Norwich (saying) he was equally outraged by the ‘conservatives’ because he knew there was a whole load of progressive liberals who were also going to leave the C of E if their needs weren’t met! Clearly, what had happened was that Lambeth had gone to the Times and to one of their favorite bishops and said, ‘We need a response to these people!’. It was a ludicrous response but it was out there.” (The substance of that Bishop’s response may be gauged by his letter to the Telegraph as in the middle of the above image.)

ABDICATION OF RESPONSIBILITY 

The issue has blown up over that denomination’s discussion of handling sexual issues and those of various ‘orientations’ – 14 out of 87 items for discussion: and what business has this ‘Sex-Sin-nod’ in pronouncing upon psychiatric practice??

It’s entirely out-of-order!  Is it not the PRIME duty of bishops and clergy to prepare the church as the Bride of Christ for the Bridegroom’s return and their Marriage Supper of the Lamb? – especially as those events are rapidly approaching!

In conversation with a reader I offered possible reasons for the C of E’s dereliction of duty in failing to teach properly and consistently. The origin could lie in Roman Catholic Church’s animosity towards Jewish descendants of Jesus’ family (‘desponyni’) and its preference for the Greek intellectual mindset over the spiritual Hebraic mindset, with the consequential lack of clarity over the latter’s significant contribution towards theological understanding. 

Like Jesus, we’re to love every sinner but hate their sin, yet non-Pentecostal churches neglect teaching about and dealing with sin issues. So with regard to sexuality, they fail to teach about it being spiritual, relationships and soul ties, personal and generational sin, repentance thereof and renunciation of demonic rights and footholds in our lives (they‘re intelligent, hence Paul’s reference to ‘demonic doctrines’!) and deliverance ministry. And the C of E all but ignores Bible prophecy – and bishops remain ignorant of the Lord’s heart for Brexit in insisting we should remain in the EU!!

Were bishops and believers thoroughly taught about satan’s strategies in our battle we wouldn’t be in such a mess. Of its unholy trinity (Antichrist, Jezebel and Death & Hell), the possessor of that notorious queen of king Ahab operates primarily through control, domination and humiliating manipulation of men. The spirit of Jezebel is clearly at work in our days advancing the feminist/equality/diversity/non-heterosexual agenda.

So in this regard we should note the simplicity of Holy Spirit’s instructions on sexuality just before revealing to Paul (“by the word of the Lord”) how we will meet Jesus upon His return:

‘Finally brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. For you know the instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. It is God’s will that you be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honourable, not in passionate lust like the heathen who do not know God; and that in this matter no-one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you His Holy Spirit (1 Thess 4:1-8 NIV; emphases added)

 ‘Instructions from the Lord with HIS authority’ answer the argument do they not? So what’s to debate…

Who are archbishops, bishops, clergy and anyone else to dare amend this?

As in the post-Synod prophetic word on Shaking and Rebuilding the Church:

“…This is not a time for rejoicing but a time for weeping and wailing. Look around you, many who call themselves by my name who claim to be my ‘church’ have made an alliance with satan. Their leaders have forgotten the God and Father of their fathers through whom I gave birth. They have spurned and rejected my word so I too spurn and reject them. Measure yourselves by my Word”, says the Lord; “Let it be the rule and the plumb-line…”
