My having corrected a historical fact about Barrack Obama’s political past may have a bearing upon an allegation of his likely illicit involvement now!

My Footnote of May 2016 reads (emphases added):

NB: The admittance to secret contact with Iran as early as 2011 is incorrect – TWO years too late! It started very early in Obama’s first term and prior to his infamous Cairo speech, as I wrote 7 years ago on 18 May 2009 in Today’s Importance in History:

‘This [diplomatic storm] involved attempts to turn the Arab world and Europe against Israel, and to appease Iran – even to ‘blackmailing’ Israel over its nuclear defence! (It’s reported Obama wanted to be able to use Iran’s territory for supplying US troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan.) Also, there’s been dismay in Cairo and Riyadh over his courting the terrorist mentors in Teheran.’

Repeating that Footnote a fortnight later and noting the Daily Telegraph’s tax investigation into Trump on possible avoidance activities by the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, my prophetical musing asked Is The Lord Exposing Rotten Politics? This led to setting up a reference page Prophecies-Fulfilled / Exposures of Corruption and to the consequential 700+ postings on my musing coming to pass!

TEN years later, and over 350 postings focusing on Obama since I went public in 2009, recent updates on his failed appeasement of the Iranian regime follow below.

First however, a Fact Check site looked into a report alleging, “After Obama allegedly sent a “representative” to the US-Iran meeting in Pakistan, Trump called it a clear Logan Act violation” but reported that claim as being false.

Yet Obama recently met Canada’s Prime Minister in what may possibly breach the Act, as some infer. However, Newsweek reports, ‘Obama traveled to Toronto to deliver a keynote speech at a Canadian think‑tank gala event, the CBC reported. Carney posted a video on X welcoming him—a standard courtesy extended to former world leaders…. There is no indication Obama engaged in negotiations, policy discussions, or any attempt to influence Canadian government positions.’

[Wikipedia: The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953,) is a United States federal law that criminalizes the negotiation of a dispute between the United States and a foreign government by an unauthorized American citizen. It is intended to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the U.S. government’s position.^[2]]

HOWEVER, there may well be a grain of truth in view of my above reference to Obama having back-channel contacts with Iran in the early years of his presidency! AND in view of his seditious scheming against Trump, he may be trying to hide or correct any more skull-duggery committed with the Iranian regime, as hinted in red comment below.

‘Congressman Ro Khanna went on Maria Bartiromo’s show and made what might be 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: that Barack Obama “delivered” a denuclearized Iran.

Bartiromo wasn’t having it. She reminded Khanna that under Obama, there were 𝟏𝟒 𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 $𝟏.𝟕 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 to a Swiss account linked to Hezbollah between 2014 and 2016. Obama told Congress it was “frozen Iranian assets.” He sent pallets of cash on a plane to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.

And there was a 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭, active from 2012 to 2024 — years after Obama left office. A shadow government. [Logan Act applies!] 

Khanna’s response? Blame Netanyahu. Blame AIPAC. Claim “they’ve dragged us into another war.” Then he said: “I resent the fact that Israel is going to tell the United States what to do.”

There it is. The mask slipped. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥, 𝐩𝐫𝐨-𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐦 wrapped in “statesmanship.”

‘Mahyar Tousi — a British-Iranian political commentator with over 1.5 million followers — just explained on Fox News why Iran’s regime is in trouble.

His key point: Trump is 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 in the mold of Obama or the foreign policy establishment. Those people made deals for the sake of making deals — they wanted a photo op and a legacy line. Trump wants 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 — or no deal at all.

That’s what makes him impossible for Iran to out-maneuver. The regime can’t afford another conflict. They’re divided internally. And they know that Trump won’t accept a watered-down agreement that lets them keep enriching uranium while pretending to comply.

Iran got used to American presidents who would 𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬. Obama gave them $150 billion and a path to a bomb. Trump gave them Soleimani and a blockade.
