I am wondering why critical systems are using Microsoft.
Windows was originally built for single user systems. Multiuser was bolted on later.
In contrast UNIX was designed for multi-user systems from the start. As a consequence it tends to be more stable and secure.
I refuse to use Microsoft systems for web hosting for this reason.
