Is Smith-Wigglesworth’s vision of UK in revival about to be fulfilled?

IS SMITH WIGGLESWORTH’s VISION, AND 50 YEARS LATER TO HIS PRAYER PARTNER, OF BRITAIN IN FULL REVIVAL FIRE ABOUT TO BE FULFILLED?

After awaking on Sunday I was reminded of the undermentioned personal event in 1997 and recalled the format of morning’s 3Counties Vineyard service is an ‘Open Morning’.

So I asked the Lord if I’m to mention this, and if so then I need clear indicators to do so. First, know that the service’s focus was upon ‘feasting and joy’, and that two ‘signs’ did come through what others brought to share:

  • One in some detail about revival from Andrew (beginning at 28 min of video) and referring to John Wimber as founder of the Vineyard movement (more later).
  • Another was brought during the unrecorded, offline period with reference to a way of reading scripture and hearing Holy Spirit speak upon 4 personally applicable points.
  • Note, that one of the moves prophesied by Smith-Wigglesworth refers to the Word and Spirit coming together and a few years ago when visiting a baptist church we were told by its powerfully prophetical pastor that the Baptist Union has come to recognise that duality as an important principle.

Therefore, it was clear I was to speak and my very condensed version of the following taken from an old email, as linked below, was received with delight:

‘At a prayer for revival meeting in 1997 on the anniversary of the Welsh revival, I had the privilege of meeting 80 years old Rev Norman James, who’d been prayer partner of the renowned ‘apostle of faith’, Smith Wigglesworth.

When this small group stood in a close circle to pray, Norman was less than a yard right in front of me. As he was quite short my eyes opened to gaze fully into his face and I couldn’t help but notice his eyes alight with excitement. A HUGE, beaming smile – he was radiant!

Norman could hardly speak, save to whisper, “I’ve just seen what Wigglesworth saw – Britain in revival, on fire for the Lord!”

Ever so briefly he explained that in Wigglesworth’s 88th year the Lord had given him a vision of a future revival in Britain. He knew it would happen decades ahead but he so desperately desired to see such days. Thus Norman confided, “No wonder he wanted the Lord to keep him alive!“. But he couldn’t find the words to describe its wonder!’
