Richard: This must be perfect timing. Just before I saw this post, I was listening to a message by Alistair Begg titled “What a Tangled Web”. Begg’s message was on II Samuel 13. What happened in II Samuel 13 is a partial fulfillment of what Nathan told King David in II Samuel 12:9-12:
“Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.”
I want to emphasize this scripture: “For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.” All things hidden will be brought to light.

Not sure if I understand Tim, for is AB alluding to DJT? (One self-styled ‘elder’ has so likened him in commenting on his sharing call for prayer!) Or are you emphasising that contrast alone, Tim?

What I took from Alistair Begg’s message is that there is always a ripple effect in sin, but eventually sin will be exposed by the Lord. All of the people fighting against President Trump–the Deep State–are being exposed. The wicked web, the tangled web of the Deep State is being exposed.
“For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.” The Deep State has conspired many things against President Trump in secret, but now the Lord is exposing their conspiracy for the whole world to see. I am not alluding President Trump to King David at all. Maybe I shouldn’t have compared the wickedness of the Deep State to the sin of King David (adultery and murder). I wanted to emphasize that sin that is hidden tends to become a tangled web that eventually will ensnare the wicked.

Maybe a better Biblical example of the Deep State would be Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. In my understanding, the modern Deep State came about just after World War II or even at Jekyll Island in 1910 (that’s when they planned the Federal Reserve which came into effect in 1913). The Deep State, of course, goes back through the Middle Ages with the Rothschilds and their ilk and probably all the way back to Nimrod. They were all devil worshippers and worked against anything that was Godly or Judeo-Christian.
