In this blog’s UK/EU series back in April 2016 and Neil Mackereth’s Discussion Paper ‘Stay or Leave?‘ the post on Significant Spiritual Signs contains his flagged annexures, the third of which is Pergamum Altar, Berlin. Neil writes:

In the Book of Revelation, Jesus dictates a letter to the Apostle John, which includes the line: “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.” (Rev 2.13)
The throne mentioned here can only refer to one thing – the temple-like structure which is known as the Pergamum Altar, built around 200 BC. This temple is also mentioned by the Roman historian Tacitus (56-117AD) in his Annals, and in Plutarch’s (45-120 AD) Life of Caesar. The mound on which it was situated is still visible today. From what John sees and hears it seems that from the Ascended Christ’s perspective Pergamum is the location in Asia Minor where it can be safely said that “Satan has his throne” and where “Satan lives.”

‘As an aside, while many saw it as a deeply ominous sign, I personally found it more humorous that when President Obama made his initial acceptance speech in 2008 for the DNC presidential nomination, it was in a nearly perfect replica of what Jesus referred to as “the throne of Satan.” Needless to say many leftist bloggers and news outlets went crazy when I pointed this out.’

Upon my mentioning this in prophetic intercessor Elizabirth Florsch’ Facebook post yesterday on Obama, she replies (emphases mine):

‘Hussein Obama visited the Great Altar of Zeus—what the Bible calls “the seat” or throne of Satan—while in Berlin, which is especially important, given what he did on returning to the United States. Approximately two thousand years after Revelation 2:13 was written, German archeologists removed the massive altar of Zeus from the ruins of Pergamos and took it to Berlin, where it was restored as the centerpiece of the Pergamon Museum. It is here that Hitler first adored it, later building an outdoor replica of it from which he gave a series of speeches that mesmerized many Germans. After Obama received inspiration from the throne of Satan while in Berlin, what he did next was astonishing. Upon returning to the United States, he immediately commissioned the construction of a Greek-columned stage from which he made his acceptance speech for his party’s nomination. Because Greek temples such as those built to honor Zeus were thought to house the patron deity, the GOP ridiculed Obama, mocking him as playing Zeus of “Mount Olympus” and accusing his supporters of “kneeling” before the “Temple of Obama.”

THEREFORE, by that act Obama not only fully displayed narcissistic traits, with all its attendant dangers, but also implicitly accepted the role that the Word of God assigns to it in recognising satan’s territory and all the deeply demonic consequences; for example as was the case with Hitler — AND PLAINLY EVIDENT IN OBAMA 8 and 17 years after he assumed that significantly ungodly spiritual role and power!!!

In those days our main interest lay in Holy Spirit-led teachings and prophetic gifting, as well as background monitoring of events in the Middle-East. So, I wasn’t taking great notice of national politics. However, that was the year disquiet arose of Todd Bentley’s activities and as a result of a strong disagreement between international leaders known to us personally. It led me to check Jesus parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13 only to hear upon grabbing my small Bible, “This is ALL about to be fulfilled”.

Such a stunning surprise led months later to my writing The Endgame is Now In Play, which included the troubling UK political state-of-play, followed by regular updates on Biblically relevant news.

Aware of the intense adulation of America’s newly installed President Obama, my fourth posting Today’s Importance in History reports,

“I’ve kept close tabs with those who monitor Middle-Eastern machinations and watched a maelstrom gather momentum over the months….Today, that storm comes to a climax as Prime Minister Netanyahu meets President Obama to discuss the latter’s 2-state solution for the Middle-East. You may know that this involved attempts to turn the Arab world and Europe against Israel, and to appease Iran – even to ‘blackmailing’ Israel over its nuclear defence! (It’s reported Obama wanted to be able to use Iran’s territory for supplying US troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan.)

Also, there’s been dismay in Cairo and Riyadh over his courting the terrorist mentors in Teheran. No wonder Egypt and S.Arabia – both kept militarily informed by Israel – and five Gulf emirates turned a deaf ear to Pres. Obama’s secret (and 3rd) delegation seeking hundreds of billions dollars investment in US and global economic stimulus plans! It’s reported, however, that over the weekend a political furore gripped Washington and frayed Obama’s key policies…”

A month later I took exception to his claim to being a Christian within his Cairo Address to the Muslim World. Thus began my starting to view him with deepening suspicion, as may be inferred from my blogs, culminating seven years later in sensing the Lord will be exposing political rot and corruption.
