In preparing the next posting upon apostasy in church denominations I found this prophetic word unpublished in my drafts folder. Maybe six weeks delay is of the Lord? Once again, I’m blessed to cite Revd Christopher Wickland:
Obadiah verse 12. ‘Do not see and gloat over your brother on the day of his misfortune. Do not exult over Judah’s ruin, nor brag on the day of her destruction.’
“Do not see and gloat over your brother on the day of his misfortune. Do not see, do not even look upon and watch the downfall of your brother in his weakness and misfortune. Do not be like Ham who saw his father, Noah, in his nakedness. Do not look upon your brother in the day of his misfortune, do not gloat nor rejoice.
There is a great schism in the body of Christ today. The Church is broken and fragmented and divided. Some division has come through wickedness, for others it has been theology that has broken and divided the household of God.
My house is at war with itself! Many sides playing off against the others, thinking they have the monopoly on salvation. My people are at war and a divided house simply cannot stand. Yet all the sides are convinced they are right and all the rest are wrong. What am I to do with you? I am aghast at your behaviour My children. I am appalled at how some of you divide My body as one slices a cake to devour it. Who made you judge and arbiter over My House?
My house is supposed to be a house of prayer and some of you have made it into a shambles. A broken parlour with your junk scattered all over my sacred altar. What are you doing My people? What have you done to yourselves? Did I not clear my Father’s Temple of your junk once before? Must I come again and intervene in My Father’s House? Must I be so forceful with you all? Do I have to treat you as badly behaved children and discipline you?
Sadly, I must clean My Father’s House, I have no choice but to come and overturn your tables and smash your wares. I will overturn your monetisation of my anointing and throw your cheap merchandise to the dirt. I will overturn your tables of doctrines that seek to divide my house. I will smash your tables of pride and false piety. I will take away some of your candlesticks and no longer allow them to be re-lit.
I will then gather you all together like children and force you to get along with each other. I will force you to sit with others you would never to sit with. I will make you eat and dine with people you swore to be your enemies. I am going to jumble you all around and disorientate you. No more going back to your cozy huddles. It’s time to come out of your narrow-mindedness and see how large My family really is. You will learn again to love one another and get along. I want My Church to be one.
My heart, My tenderness is for you all, My people. I don’t just love your little group, or your little denomination. I love all in My body who are truly mine and love Me. I seek to cover you under the shadow of My wings, I want to show you My love and I want to bless you. My blessing of life forever more is on you My household when you dwell together in harmony.
Remember My children, I only chastise those whom I love. I love you My people, I want you My people to be one even as I am ONE.”
Christopher Wickland, 3rd of October 2023.
Richard do you recall this dream?
The Lord showed me a vision a little while ago and in this vision I was standing in front of a church with glass doors so I was able to see inside the church. Looking inside, I could see the people were actively engaged in worship, I could see hands lifted praising God. However, when I looked at the doors themselves I noticed that they had no handles on them. To be “let in” to this church, you had to be let in from the inside. And, if you left, i.e., backslid or just decided to go elsewhere and then wanted to return, once again, you had to be let in by someone on the inside. I used to belong to a church like this where you had to be let in by the people on the inside, i.e., the clique. And, if you left, the pastor would instruct the congregation to not associate with you any longer. When I use the words, “let in”, I am speaking of being part of the fellowship, as I mentioned above, which are sometimes comprised of cliques. What I feel the Lord dropping in my spirit as I post this to my blog , is the church of Laodicea mentioned in the book of Revelation. We have all heard the famous passage of scripture, “‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me”. Every picture I have seen depicting this passage of scripture shows a door with Jesus standing outside knocking, however, the door upon which He is knocking has no handle, the one(s) standing on the other side of the door have to open the door and let Him in. Remember, Jesus was addressing the CHURCH of Laodicea in this passage,
