‘Two or three prophets should speak and the others should weigh carefully what is said.’ (1 Corinthians 12:29 NIV)

‘..by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.’ (Deuteronomy 19:15 NKJV)

In the previous post I promised to explain why I emboldened these phrases in Yvonne Coombs’ remarks based upon Isaiah 40:31 (..but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint): “The readied are seeing the eagle’s perspective! I decree you shall rise up and see the perspective of your place as kingdom eagles; Amen.”.

Her words connect directly into the very first personal prophecies I was given 25 years ago. In those days I knew next to nothing about modern-day prophets and their gifting and encountered an utterly unexpected prophetical download in 1996.

1996

As told in About – Why Write/blog? I’d planned to attend a Thames Valley healing prayer group’s day conference in Upper Basildon, Berkshire (on my late father’s birthday 13 July 1996). However, I’d been delayed by a phone call and my late arrival meant I missed the announcements and didn’t get a schedule. All I knew was that it was run by a team from St Andrews Church, Chorleywood, which I’d once popped into the day Bishop David Pytches gave an account of visiting Toronto and the Outpouring!

As folk filed out to various sessions in that church only a few miles from home, I went along with my friends only to discover they were heading into a ‘workshop’ on prophecy – I felt extremely out of my depth. Help!

This topic was new to me and I’d not heard anyone teach about the gift of prophecy. A fortnight previously, however, at a conference in Reading, a pastor who didn’t know me had spoken directly into that day’s dire difficulties – even quoting my earlier thoughts! He gave greatly needed Godly encouragement and promises that I find have come true!.

This time at the workshop, after a very brief outline of the subject, the lady teaching us directed us to stand in a line. She walked up to each of us in turn and said something. Even now, I see her standing in front of me – her eyes practically popping out of her head staring at something over my own head.

She exclaimed,“I see an eagle above your head!”

Then out of this dear lady flowed a torrent of Holy Spirit information!  Of many ‘words’ delivered, one was about prophecy and another was about writing.

2008-11

In 2008 Nina and I went to a church meeting in Guildford YMCA being run by a South African, William Mitchell, who looked straight at me and said, “There’s a book in you!” – ‘Huh… really?’ thought I.  Well at least it gelled with part of those words of 1996.

My work and studies involved some writing and, after having been blessed with taking early retirement, in 2009 I started circulating friends about Biblically relevant news. This was a result of having a direct word from the Lord on End-times as I opened it to check Jesus’ parable of Wheat and Tares in Matthew 13 – see The Endgame Is Now In Play.

Three months later at a conference at Winchester Vineyard, Isabel Allum, a reknowned teacher of prophecy, discerned what was going on. When bringing words for folk she first walked straight up to Nina and me and fired off accurately, validating my decision to write by saying,

“An impartation like Daniel had is going to come into you and you will start understanding  the ‘riddles’ of the Lord in a different way – the gift of interpretation itself as Daniel and Joseph had is going to come to you and God is going to open up your understanding to hear from heaven”.

In late 2011 – after being strongly ‘nudged’ as a result of a dream on the Kingdom being set up! – I got around to the kind of public writing those prophets had alluded to.

In 2020 and 2021 a personal friend and church leader with a strong gift of prophecy, gave me specific words on my calling and gifting, as recounted in Visions of Spiritual Atomic Bomb Confirmed by Emma Stark.

Now, having materials from two sources, emails and blogs, together on a website has created an online book that’s been blessed with over two million views. Chapters get added, an index of categories and tags grows up, links to earlier material, external events and sources develop: all rather like a person’s history and relationships.

So, blogging Richard’s Watch has been watching a book take shape and then expand more or less into several volumes with a much appreciated public readership. It also shows that the lady from St Andrews, William Mitchell and Isabel Allum heard correctly.
