21st ANNIVERSARY OF ATLANTIC SOLAR ECLIPSE
Back in August, Ben Kay in Plymouth, Devon, emailed me under the header ‘Look up your redemption draws nigh!’ about the 1999 trans-Atlantic solar eclipse, which I blogged under ‘God-incidence’ of 11 and 21st (3×7) Anniversary of Solar Eclipse. I was utterly astonished by it getting an IMMEDIATE double-confirmation in connection with the sailing of the Mayflower from Plymouth in 1620 to North America and arriving in the New England and Nova Scotia area. Its track’s map reminded me of my imaginary concept of a spiritual bridge over ‘The Pond‘, which I’ve often blogged about. So I was pleasantly surprised to receive a contribution form Canadian Maxine Phyliss in Halifax Nova Scotia.
Part of that second posting, as God’s GPS #50, reads:
North America’s New England and ‘New Scotland’ – all ‘Newly-Found-Land’
The ‘Mayflower’ was the English galleon that transported the first Puritans, known today as the ‘Pilgrim Fathers’, in 1620 from Plymouth (famous for its role in the sighting and defeat of the Spanish Armada) over the Atlantic to the New World. They were Bible-believing, ‘non-conformist’ Christians seeking religious freedom and tolerance far away from both Catholic and Protestant Europe in our American colonies. That event was the birth of a strong Christian bond that has grown between the UK and USA, despite all the differences in church-state relationships and theological emphases.
After a gruelling 10 weeks at sea, the Mayflower’s 102 passengers and crew of about 30 reached America, dropping anchor near the tip of Cape Cod on November 11, 1620. (NB. double number 11 in that arrival date: 11th day of 11th month, 400 years ago!! So maybe it’s of significance (see Footnote 2 of previous post)?
400th ANNIVERSARY OF MAYFLOWER’S ARRIVAL
Once again Ben Kay emails me ‘On This Day In History…400 Years Ago’, as follows:
‘Please forgive me for sending two emails within 24 hours but it was only last night when I discovered that today is quite a momentous day in historical terms for Plymouth and America, as described on the 11-11jesus.com website… Eleven 11 at 11, where history meets destiny, 1620 – 2020.
‘November 11, 2020, marks the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s arrival to America. Before disembarking on November 11, 1620, the settlers signed the Mayflower Compact, which laid the foundation of our American democracy, our liberty, and our law and order.
‘The Mayflower Compact stated their purpose as “For the glory of God and the advancements of the Christian faith.”
‘And then I was really encouraged to read about how millions of Americans are marking this significant day with prayer and STANDING TOGETHER IN UNITY…
‘On this historical anniversary, Christians of every race, denomination, and political party will stand TOGETHER as ONE NATION UNDER GOD committed to fulfil our God-given purpose and to declare JESUS IS LORD in our land!
‘We will re-dedicate our land to God for His glory and the advancement of the Christian faith . . . this time, stating subjection to the KING of KINGS.’
‘The founder explains more about the vision God gave them 11 years ago for 11th November 2020 HERE:
“Call America to a fast. There must be repentance and there must be unity. America must ‘look like’ Nineveh or America will cease to exist. NO one man or organization will do this. It will be known as a move of God and I will get ALL the glory…”
11 November – A call for a global day of prayer, fasting and repentance for the USA.
‘Yesterday afternoon, Intercessors for America (IFA) highlighted how Australian prayer leaders have called people to pray for the USA to return to its historic Christian foundations on 11th November.
‘This date marks the 400 Year celebration of the Pilgrim Fathers’ first landing on American soil at the site of “Provincetown” and the signing of the Mayflower Compact which reads as follows…’
“In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten… Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith, and the honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia; do by these presents, solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God, and one another; covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic; for our better ordering, and preservation… unto which we promise all due submission and obedience.
“In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the 11th of November, in the year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King James, of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth, 1620.”
It was noticeable how the article on THIS IFA WEBPAGE stated:
‘Our focus for our prayers is not primarily the election (although we encourage prayer for the same, and prayer for justice to be done and the truth to be exposed) but our main prayer is that the USA return to its historic Christian foundations as laid out by the Pilgrim Fathers 400 years ago at Cape Cod on 11 November 1620.’
Therefore, it seems appropriate that the initial focus of today’s ‘Pray USA’ meeting should be on coming together in unity with thanksgiving to God and to pray for the USA to return to its historic Christian foundations as laid out by the Pilgrim Fathers….
Today’s meeting should finish around 10.45am so that there is then time to switch our attention to the significance of it being Armistice Day, as we remember all those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom as well as all those who continue to put their lives on the line for us.
Plymouth Rock Prayer Gathering: Wednesday 11 November (6.00 – 8.00pm)
In addition, please remember there will be a prayer gathering this evening at Plymouth Rock (Massachusetts) ‘to celebrate and pray into the heritage of the Pilgrims’ prayers and deep commitment to the Lord’.
“Father, as William Bradford asked 400 years ago, what can now sustain us but the Spirit of God and Your grace. Fill us to overflowing with Your Spirit and pour out Your grace. Thank You for the precious heritage of America in the Pilgrims.”
God bless, Ben & Nhellie
