It’s coming! – Chris G Bennett

On Chris’ Facebook today:

IT’S COMING!!

I feel a strong burden this morning to watch more closely, to listen more attentively, to pray with more understanding.

It is a call to all watchmen, everywhere.

Surely, the Lord is coming soon.

Why am I seeing a beautiful white horse, all decked out in finery,  prancing impatiently, ready to go somewhere?
No rider – just the horse.

Could it be that the Lord is just waiting the command to “Go!”

Yes – but not yet.

There is more to come.
More revelation of Jesus; more salvations of the lost; more and more signs – each more obvious than the last.

Watchmen – stay at your posts.
Keep alert and ready to sound your alarm.
There will be many false cries – use your discernment!

How long, oh Lord, how long ??

As someone once put it – “I don’t know when He’s coming, but it’s closer today than it was yesterday!”

Then there’s this from memories :-

When the trumpet sounds a warning
An older post which the Lord would have me release again. Originally from 2016, this is even more true today.

This was the 1000th post I’ve written. I’ve written one or two that were almost important, but I get the feeling that this one may be more relevant to revival than any of its predecessors. It may even cost me some because I’m often accused of being overly blunt.

So, what’s so all-fired important that it’s burning my bones in its urgency to get written?

Well, as you can see from the title, I believe the Lord is preparing us for a bit of a mess when the shaking and revelations are done. Actually, I think He’s going to destroy and replace our defence strategy – if we listen to Him and if we act upon what He says.

Most churches at this time have tried to place a strong sheepfold around their flock. This has caused great disunity in the church as a whole. There is an expectation of great support and unity in their own flock, for their own church, ministries, and events, whilst at the same time discouraging any support or unity with other churches, other ministries, other events.

I have heard, with increasing frequency, the fear-filled Cry,
“We have to protect our people!”
“From what, or from whom?”, is my question.
“Against poor or false doctrine!” is the usual answer.

However, could it possibly be the lack of proper discipleship training?
Or is the more devastating truth in the vast majority of cases,
“Against losing them to a ‘rival’ church!”
The spirit of control is rampant.

So, because of the need to ‘protect’ their people, the leaders take it upon themselves to discourage participation in what could be wonderful opportunities to hear different speakers, or different subjects. This is most often achieved by totally withholding vital information about whatever is being offered.

Now, I have to say at this point, that I do know a church leader who takes the surprisingly open attitude of saying,

“I don’t care where it starts just so long as Revival hits this town!”

And he backs this up by encouraging support of other churches events!

What a breath of fresh air!

Having said this, this man’s church is also the first to be approached by any church in trouble, and there are many, while his church is growing.

This is what I believe the Lord is calling ALL church leaders to do –
“Lower your defences.
Encourage each other.
Support each other’s events.
Begin to act like ONE CHURCH, and see what I will do when unity is encouraged to flourish!
Show Me that you are truly willing even to consider paying the price for unity, and watch REVIVAL come to YOUR TOWN!”

“You have protected your flock so rigidly that you have denied your people many tremendous opportunities to grow!
That defence mechanism has never worked and still isn’t working,
you are battling to keep the few you have.
You are not really growing the way you could grow if you allowed Me to work in your midst; if you lower your defences.
Your defences are so successful; they keep everything out, including Me and My Spirit.”

“Your watchmen are not there to protect only ‘your’ church. They are there to protect the whole Church!”
