Events arising out of Humanity’s 2nd Tipping Point in the battle against satan have come to the ‘boil’ as far as my blogging’s concerned, beginning with two in-depth articles from Neil Mackereth, the first of which he submitted in Leap Year Day, 29th February, but for which I awaited a follow-on for Part 2.
Part 1 is VITAL NEED-TO-KNOW INFO:
I AM A STRANGER IN MY OWN LAND
Introduction
I watch the news and have come to the conclusion that democracy fails when the majority believe a lie. It is even more worrying when incontrovertible evidence will not change their minds.
I see crowds, who do not understand what Hamas represents, being whipped up into a frenzy by agitators, whose aim is the destruction of Israel. By association, the rabble rousers actions are leading to the demonisation of all Jews.
Hamas Covenant and Charter
I have read the HAMAS Charter (2017) https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/hamas-2017-document-full and the HAMAS Covenant (1988) https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp
The Covenant opening preamble includes:
“When the idea was ripe, the seed grew and the plant struck root in the soil of reality, away from passing emotions, and hateful haste. The Islamic Resistance Movement emerged to carry out its role through striving for the sake of its Creator, its arms intertwined with those of all the fighters for the liberation of Palestine.”
This Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), clarifies its picture, reveals its identity, outlines its stand, explains its aims, speaks about its hopes, and calls for its support, adoption and joining its ranks. Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious. It needs all sincere efforts. It is a step that inevitably should be followed by other steps. The Movement is but one squadron that should be supported by more and more squadrons from this vast Arab and Islamic world, until the enemy is vanquished and Allah’s victory is realised.
There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with”, and includes this quote: “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it”
There then follow 36 “Articles” under the heading “Definition of the Movement”. Rather than slavishly examining each “Article” I provide some quotes (extracts), with comment or explanation where necessary:
Article 7: “The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him”.
Article 11 explains that Hamas “… believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf (legal Trust) consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day.” The Article explains that when the Islamic armies conquered Palestine, they asked Umar, the second Caliph (successor to Muhammad), whether the conquered land should be divided or left with its previous owners. The Caliph’s decision was that the previous owners (mainly Christians and Jews) should be allowed to farm it; however, the land would be owned by the Islamic community for ever. This decision is enshrined in sharia (law) and cannot be changed. This principal applies to any land, which at any time has been under Islamic rule. Hamas are saying that only Muslims have the right to own land in Palestine. The 2017 Hamas Charter makes it clear that “Christian holy sites belong exclusively to the Palestinian people and to the Arab and Islamic Ummah (global community)”. The Hamas representative in Iran claimed that the October 7 attack was to protect “Christian holy sites”.
Article 14 “The question of the liberation of Palestine is bound to three circles: the Palestinian circle, the Arab circle and the Islamic circle. Each of these circles has its role in the struggle against Zionism. Each has its duties… when the three circles mobilize their capabilities, the present state of affairs will change and the day of liberation will come nearer.” So, Hamas says all Arabs, whatever their religion, must support their jihad to replace the state of Israel with an Islamic state. It goes on to say (Article 32) that: “Leaving the circle of struggle with Zionism is high treason”
Article 31: “Under the wing of Islam, it is possible for the followers of the three religions – Islam, Christianity and Judaism – to coexist in peace and quiet with each other.” That seemingly tolerant and benign statement is caveated with: “Peace and quiet would not be possible except under the wing of Islam. Past and present history are the best witness to that. It is the duty of the followers of other religions to stop disputing the sovereignty of Islam in this region.”
Non-Muslims living in a Muslim country have “dhimmi” status which means they are “protected”, provided they agree to support the state, which includes supporting jihad (jihad is derived from the Arabic root jahada, meaning “to exert strength and effort, to use all means in order to accomplish a task”, and that includes fighting the enemies of Islam). Not doing so would be a breach of the dhimmi “contract”, rendering the person liable to a charge of treason and the possibility of execution, as an enemy collaborator. In reality, dhimmi status is a form of servitude: Palestinian Christians in Gaza live as dhimmis.
The 2017 Charter covers much the same ground as the Covenant but is couched in terms that sound more caring and, in relation to other religions, more tolerant (i.e., it is nuanced to be more acceptable to existing and potential supporters in the West). In reality, the fundamental aims expressed in the Covenant have not changed.
Conclusion
Hamas rejects any alternative to a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, “from the river to the sea”, with Jerusalem as its capital. It wants sharia to be enforced across the whole of Palestine, without exception. When Hamas talk about the law, it is always referring to sharia, which is not humanitarian.
I suspect that very few of the Hamas supporting aggressive crowds we see on TV know (or even care!) what the Hamas Covenant and Charter say.
The cry for the vindication of Hamas and the destruction of Irael reminds me of the crowd shouting for the release of Barabas and the crucifixion of Jesus. And that, of course, was 2000 years ago, long before the Islamic invasion of 636 AD.
