Apparently some have taken issue with our sister prophesying about the Washington D.C. monument. I’m well aware of its reputed masonic connection of the city’s geography – and that it got cracked due to a magnitude 5.8 earthquake striking northern Virginia on August 23, 2011. [Its white marble and mortar cracked and shook loose; damage being most severe in the shaft’s upper levels and top pyramidion.]
I knew about the massive necessary repairs to adjacent pool and as soon as I saw Veronika’s prophecy I sensed within my spirit THE IMMENSE significance of her word!
Last night she writes,
A Quick Response to those who have condemned me for using the Washington Monument Image as a Prophetic Sign of God’s Plumbline.
First off, can I say that I hear your concerns and will never take them lightly….
Many Believers will look at the Washington Monument — an obelisk with clear pagan and Masonic Roots — and may feel it’s wrong to see any Prophetic significance in a photo of it.
I say it all the time, we are Called to Test and Discern everything!! (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
That said, here’s why I felt led to share the image and the impression that it stirred in my spirit as I prayed.
Firstly, I wasn’t endorsing the Monument, its history or any of the symbolism attached to it.
In obedience, I was simply sharing how God can Sovereignly highlight something in the natural to draw our attention back to His Word and to what He is doing in this hour, so we can Pray with Understanding, Wisdom and Knowledge.
A good starting point would be to look at how The LORD has done this before in Scripture and I think of when the Israelites were bitten by venomous snakes as God’s Judgment, and then God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and to put it on a pole, (Numbers 21:8-9).
Anyone who looked at it in faith was healed, and yet in that time the ‘Serpent Imagery’ was deeply pagan in the ancient Near East and often linked to gods, magic, witchcraft and fertility cults and deities.
We see here how God Sovereignly commanded its use as a Redemptive Symbol of Healing and Faith — and in fact it was a powerful foreshadowing, as centuries later, Jesus Himself pointed back to that bronze serpent as a picture of His Crucifixion, (John 3:14)!
In another example, similarly, when Paul stood in Athens surrounded by pagan temples, altars and idols, he didn’t condemn the culture and walk away, instead he pointed to an altar inscribed “To an Unknown God” — a pagan safety net for deities they might have missed…
And what was remarkable, is that Paul did not affirm their Idolatry. He recognised their spiritual hunger and used the pagan altar as a point of contact for The Gospel.
Instead of rejecting it outright, Paul actually ‘redeemed’ the symbol saying, ”What you Worship as something Unknown I am proclaiming to you!” (Acts 17:23).
By Faith, Paul preached the Message of the True God — the Power of the Resurrection and the need for Repentance. Please see Acts 17:22-31!
Friends, I only share these examples to show that God is not limited by the origins of a thing. God can take a Symbol, or even an Image of a Monument steeped in darkness and Repurpose and Redeem it for His Glory — without ever approving its original meaning.
In the same way, the Power of that night-time photo I used to share what I believe God was showing me, wasn’t with an emphasis on the stone monument itself, it was in fact more about the Reflection of the Monument on the Water that created a striking vertical line — a powerful visual of the Plumb-line in Amos 7 — and how I saw the connecting shape of the Hebrew letter (Vav)! [RB’s emphases]
Hence the Image became a simple and yet a powerful Prophetic Metaphor that God used while I was in Prayer, to highlight the Prophetic Timeline in this 250th Anniversary Year in the Nation.
( A Prophetic Mirror is being Lifted and a Measuring Rod is falling in the midst of the Nation(s) in the Valley of Decision. )
A Clarion Call to the Nation(s) to come back into Divine Realignment with God’s Covenant Foundations!
I submit, God will use even these things — like Monuments and specific Landmarks that the enemy has used and influenced and even Images the Devil meant for evil or to bring confusion to demonstrate that “absolutely nothing is Beyond His Redeeming Power to Reverse the Curse and Bring Divine Restoration!”
What was intended by Satan for harm or even Satanic Idolatry — God works for Good and for His Glory, and He uses it to stir the Hearts of Many toward Repentance, Self-Examination and to the Promise of Restoration in this Jubilee-timed Season.
My Prayer tonight, is that we don’t miss what God is saying, because of the Vessel that God may Choose to use and Speak through!
I Believe The LORD is Inviting His People to Look Up, to Turn and Return to Him with their whole Hearts in the Hour!
So, let’s keep our eyes fixed on Jesus!
Test all things by His Word and let’s always pursue Purity, Unity in Humility, as we walk through this significant Prophetic Time together!
