Valleus’s Notes.–‘Acta Pilati’
Pilate’s Report:
(excerpts)
To Tiberias Caesar, Emperor of Rome.
“. . . Among the various rumors that came to my ears there was one in particular that attracted my attention. A young man, it was said, had appeared in Galilee preaching with a noble unction a new law in the name of the God that had sent him. At first I was apprehensive that his design was to stir up the people against the Romans, but my fears were soon dispelled. Jesus of Nazareth spoke rather as friend of the Romans than of the Jews. One day in passing by the place of Siloe, where there was a great concourse of people, I observed in the midst of the group a young man who was leaning against a tree, calmly addressing the multitude. I was told it was Jesus. This I could easily have suspected, so great…

Thank you for reblogging this, Richard. It is a fascinating read. I hesitated putting it on your post because I thought it was way too long of a comment.
During my hitchhiking travels, I first saw THE ARCHKO VOLUME on a bookshelf at this family’s home in Roscoe, Montana in 2009. Several months later, I saw the same book at this home I stayed at near Reed Point, Montana. In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. So I thought the Lord wanted me to post it on my blog.

YES Tim, am SO PLEASED you did so because I sense He really is behind what we’re posting from BOTH SIDES OF THE POND!
In other words the Lord Himself is confirming our action, both past and current – and future!

Amen. 22. 2022. Two witnesses twice: one witness on the east side of the Atlantic Pond and one witness on the west side of the Atlantic Pond. Glory to God in the Highest!

PS. I noted that historical remark on your blog and have now realised its reference to 2009 is also when I began writing on End-Times!!!

Looks like a Godincidence on steroids. Or maybe I should say it is a Godincidence with Holy Ghost Fire.

I would be very interested to know what manuscripts we have today with this on it and what dates they are. If it is genuine it is just amazing.

Sid,, you may find sufficient linked info on Tim’s blog, or ask him direct. I could do only very brief search but looks like it may be connected with other work he cites and which is on Amazon and other sources.

I thought scholarship had established this to be a hoax?

I don’t know if it is a hoax or not. I’ll have to do more research on it.

Some people believe that The Archko Volume by Rev. W.D. Mahan is a hoax and some people don’t. I have only read two chapters of The Archko Volume (that was back in 2010). My research on The Archko Volume has not been exhaustive, but here are two links that you can look at and then you can decide:
What is the Archko Volume?

The reason why I posted excerpts of Rev. Mahan’s book on my two blogs is that I was working for this guy in Roscoe, Montana and I noticed The Archko Volume on his bookshelf. I read a little bit of it and then I hit the road and forgot about it. Several months later in 2010, this man and his son picked me up hitchhiking in Wyoming and took me to their home in Reed Point, Montana where I noticed Mahan’s book on their bookshelf. I read two chapters and then I typed some excerpts from the book and posted them on my two blogs. There was no check in my spirit, so for me this was confirmation that the Lord wanted these excerpts on my blogs.
If The Archko Volume is a hoax, my apologies to all. My faith is not based on Mahan’s book, but on Jesus Christ, the Bible and the power of the Holy Ghost.
