For those who aren’t familiar with Henry Kissinger, he was the secretary of state during the late Nixon and Ford years, 1973-1977.

He is considered by many to be the greatest secretary of state, in terms of statesmanship, of the last half of the twentieth century. He is the one who worked to open up China, to get America out of the Vietnam War, détente with the Soviet Union, and of course to engineer the Petrodollar system. Presidents and others have sought him for advice in the last four decades.
