I avoided The Chosen due to all the negativity about the production team and this and that etc but working nights once I noted seasons 1 t0 3 was free to watch so I thought, why not av a butchers. So glad I did. It was brilliant, not perfect but show me a show on Christ/Bible that is, not happy about seeing Jesus rehearse the Beatitudes, but who knows, as fully man, maybe He did. Defo not happy about the apparent wet dream of John in a later episode but at the same time are we to assume that these rough lads became angels overnight? I think the geezer plays a great Jesus, strong, not a wimp like Robert Powells version, a masculine man, carpenter. He has humour and a mischievous nature and He looks Jewish. I don’t care that some of the production team are gay, they’re hearing the Gospel, let God do His thing. The way it brought to life the conversation with Nicodemus about being born again and him grasping it, the bit where they take Jesus to the cliff to throw Him off and He just walks through them, healing people left right and centre, its brilliant, can’t wait for season 4 to be online. The best Jesus I have seen appears in AD Anno Domini played by Elizabeth Taylors son, he only appears a couple of times as its more about the birth of the church.
