A most noteworthy report posted just after 5am local time and confirms the Nehemiah connection others have discerned, eg Yvonne Coombs on Sanballat Rising. Thank you Lord and Tony over in Tucson.
I had a dream in the early morning hours of January 29th. I saw people in England kneeling and praying facing Europe. Then I saw a wall, stone by stone, being built. The wall was a result of the prayers of the people. The wall did not represent isolation but rather protection. The rebuilding of the wall by Nehemiah is what i compare this to. The nearer the wall got to being completed and the gates hung, the more intense the persecution in which lies and deception were utilized by Sanbalot and Tobiah to strike fear into the hearts of the people, namely the leaders. It’s also worth noting the religious dimension to the Nehemiah story: the tension between Jews and Samaritans who both claimed to worship YHWH – but the Jews held that only the Jerusalem Temple was legitimate. (See also tensions that flared up during the persecution under Antiochus IV Epiphanes). Part of our Brexit problem manifests itself in the clear difference between rank-and-file pro-Brexit Anglicans and anti-Brexit members of the clergy – broader still, the difference between a socialist, false version of Christianity, and a biblical Christianity.

Most definitely noteworthy and precisely so on Brexit; so thank you Nicholas.
In replying to a reader’s challenging my claim in Cranmer’s blog of the Lord’s interest in Brexit because 40% Anglicans voted Remain, I pointed out his use of stats may be misleading:
“At voting average around 50-50, most denominations reflected general public’s vote; thus possibly indicating most believers keep faith out of politics (eg CoS above). However, what really is surprising in view of its top hierarchy’s disdain for Leave voters, is the fact 60% Anglicans voted Leave!” Source: http://www.brin.ac.uk/how-religious-groups-voted-at-the-2016-referendum-on-britains-eu-membership/
