Another timely prophetic word hits the target today
Today’s daily Lion Bites from Glasgow’s prophetic team is yet another that unerringly delivers a word from the Living Lord to speak exactly into a personal situation. The ‘Bite’ for 30th September, 3 weeks ago yesterday, confirmed my decision to insert a dream about the effects of generational sins into the talk I was to deliver the next day. That word on Generational Cleansing was applied this afternoon. Today’s confirmed the action and greatly encouraged the recipient.

THE BATTLE OVER YOUR IDENTITY
Your enemy, satan the deceiver, seeks to limit you because he knows how effective and powerful you can be when you operate in your full God-given authority. There is a great war of identities going on right now, where the enemy is adopting guerrilla tactics to limit, hinder and conceal from you, your true identity as a son or daughter of Almighty God.
Beware the enemy swooping in with stealth to engage you in hand-to-hand combat over recurring areas of temptation, oppression and depression. He is hitting you with things that are part of your ‘old man’. He knows he can’t win but he hopes that by warring with
you on this ‘local’ or ‘street’ level, he will distract and keep you occupied in a tug-of-war. He is desperate that you don’t look at things from a Godly perspective, because if you did, you would see your new identity in Christ. You would grow into a greater awareness of who you are and the authority that you carry. You are not a scrapper, a street-fighter, you are a mighty General. The more you walk in this realisation, the easier it will be to walk away from the hand-to-hand wars.
It is therefore time to work on your mindset. Listen to what encouragers say to you and about you. Don’t dismiss their commendation and encouragement… absorb it. And make Godly declarations of His truth over yourself – such as…
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt

Thank you that’s so good to hear. In fact, the definition of ‘in’ as ‘IN’ was stressed by and was the main focus of Ian Clayton’s teaching on how we access heavenly realms, as hinted at in closing Jesus & Israel (http://wp.me/p1Y1yB-3WO). And this weekend Charlie Shamp added to that as we focussed on ‘God IS’.

Richard, take a look at the dream that I had 3 years ago about the issue of identity theft.
A Dream about a Wallet (05/29/2010)
> I had a dream and in this dream a young woman, sort of seductive in an evil sense, not sexually, however, had come to me and told me that someone had stolen my wallet. I told her that it was she who had stolen my wallet, and, as I went to get it back from her, she tried holding it up beyond my reach so that I would be unable to get it. Instead of giving me my wallet back, she offered me a black case of CD’s . I told her that I did not want the CD case but instead wanted my wallet back. It was then that I pinned her to the ground and took back my wallet. She was cursing me all the while I had her pinned to the ground and I continued to hold her there until the police came to take her away. The reason that in my dream this woman was trying to give me the CD’s in lieu of returning my wallet was because she was trying to convince me that they had the equality of what was contained in my wallet which they do not. My identity, credibility and life itself are hid with Christ. Teachings cannot replace going to the source of living water which is the Lord. To elevate teachings to the status of being equal to the Word is equivalent to digging a cistern for yourself. I believe that your doctrine must be constantly evolving because the Lord is constantly showing us something new about His character. And, the only way we are able to learn is to sit at the feet of Jesus for ourselves. Strongholds are thoughts we think, things we tell ourselves, and what others tell us that we tend to believe even though we know they are contrary to the Word of God, and teachings we listen to and elevate to the Word of the Lord.. A stronghold is formed one brick at a time and is formed when these things go unchallenged by the Word of God and we just accept as truth that which we know to be contrary to the Word.
Paul said regarding false teachings ,”But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough”.

> What is contained in a wallet?

Thanks Tony, it aligns well with the ‘Bite’.
I have one reservation, however. Many here, like ourselves, left mainstream churches on the valid grounds of ministers giving lip-service to the Gospel but refusing to allow the Holy Spirit into their services. Such ‘travellers’ along the Way have often met together in small groups, like in early NT times and Holy Spirit was present. During our season of 4-5yrs we’d meet in a woodsman’s shed in the midst of a forest with a couple of dozen others and found we were all in one accord. That season came to a close when the organiser’s season changed and we were led to a church with a new minister who knew not only what we do, but also many of the international teachers who’d given us meat. And my, how we’re growing faster as a consequence – PTL

My wife and I too left the mainstream church, at the Lord’s direction, a while ago.
